Do they say it’s safe?

I just signed up for bottled water delivery.

Yes it’s safe.
Our water is continuously monitored and tested.
Where do you think bottled water comes from?

No doubt it’s safe. The problem is it taste horrible. We switched to bottled water a few months after moving here in 1980. I take a sip now and again to see if it’s improved and IMO, it hasn’t. We use it for everything except drinking water.

If you think CCWD water currently tastes “horrible”, you haven’t traveled around the country very much. Although the water comes out of a slough near Oakley it is now pretty decent when mixed with Los Vaqueros water. Back in the 50’s the summer sodium levels exceeded Gov’t limits (250 PPM) in late summer was barely drinkable (and the only bottled water was Perrier). I DO use Diamond Pure water for coffee, tea, and salty canned soups.

Oh, I’ve traveled over the US. It’s just that when I get to the hotel I drink the bottled water in the minibar, not water from the tap. The last tap I remember drinking was in Iowa City, and yes, it was worse than CCWD. When I was a teen my friend’s parents had a cabin at Lake Arrowhead and that water was amazing. The best I ever had. As long as they keep pumping water to Central Valley farmers, CCWD water quality will suffer.
