A motorcyclist killed in a crash involving an allegedly intoxicated driver near Pittsburg early Sunday morning has been identified by the Contra Costa County coroner’s office as 29-year-old Antioch resident Vincent Fisher II.

California Highway Patrol officers responded at 2:09 a.m. to a report of a crash involving three vehicles on eastbound state Highway 4 just east of Bailey Road.

A 2002 Volkswagen sedan, a 2015 Toyota sedan and a 2016 Harley-Davidson motorcycle driven by Fisher were the three vehicles involved, CHP officials said.

The Volkswagen driver, 59-year-old Tony Moss, of Antioch, was taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek to be treated for his injuries and was later booked into county jail on suspicion of DUI, according
to the CHP.

The Toyota driver, a 20-year-old man from Oakley, suffered only minor injuries in the crash.

Investigators determined Moss had been driving the wrong way in the eastbound lanes before colliding with the Toyota. Fisher was then ejected from his motorcycle after it was involved in the collision, according to the CHP. He died at the scene.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the CHP’s Contra Costa-area office at (925) 646-4980.

Painful to read this as the motorcyclist had about 1 second to realize this was it when he saw those light coming at him in a place designed for that to never happen. This means the car driver took a left onto the freeway all the way back from Railroad ave.How he made it that far is unbelievable. What an a$$hole. Why won’t they ban alcohol? It’s never suggested because banning something in America only creates crime

James you mean ban alcohol again don’t you?

Seriously, have you never heard of the 18th Amendment, the Volstead Act and the 21st Amendment?

It’s been tried and it failed… and you are right, about all it did was make Alphonse “Al” “Scarface” Gabriel Capone a very rich man…about 100 million dollars in 1940 dollars rich…

Very good proffesor ,what do you think the reference “it only creates crime”meant?
It’s already been tried, It created organized crime.Pat yourself on the back for explaining something that didn’t need explaining.
