DIRTY DINING: Inspectors Find Cockroaches, Rodent Droppings At Bonfare Market On Grant St. In Concord

Bonfare Market, located at 2800 Grant St. in Concord, was closed this week after inspectors from the Contra Costa County Health Department say they found the following.

  • 3 live cockroaches between splash guard of hand sink and three compartment sink in the back kitchen
  • 1 live cockroach on the wall behind the ice machine
  • 1 live cockroach inside the three compartment sink
  • 1 live cockroach on the shelf above the three compartment sink
  • 1 dead cockroach inside the employee restroom
  • 1 dead on piece of wood next to back kitchen hand sink
  • 2 dead cockroaches on monitoring trap underneath the ice machine
  • 2 dead cockroaches on monitoring traps next to three compartment sink
  • 1 dead cockroach on the floor underneath the sales floor shelves
  • 1 dead cockroach on the floor behind the sales register
  • Cockroach fecal matter on the splash guard of the hand sink next to three compartment sink
  • 10+ rodent droppings on the floor inside the cabinet below the slushy machine

The business has since been reinspected and reopened.

Claycord;s posting of restaurant closures for various violations is a public service and causes people to eat out less and at home more.

It is well appreciated by most, including me. I don’t think the restaurants and their employees appreciate though, lol!

Good because the service sucks anyways now days, I hope a lot close down and put them out of work and besides too many obese whales in town… better they shop and cook for themselves anyways…

This is a Gas Station….so there isn’t a lot of eating going on.

They also are a convenience store which sells hot food and drinks. Would you want to drink from a beer can that cockroaches crawled on??

In a perfect world, the rats would eat all the roaches.
