UPDATE: Saturday Fire Burned Four Acres On Mt. Diablo

The “Mitchell Fire” near the top of Mt. Diablo on Saturday burned four acres, according to Cal Fire.

The fire was first reported at 5:18 p.m. Saturday, off Summit Rd. near the Juniper Campground.

Firefighters fought the blaze through the night, and as of Sunday afternoon continue to mop up, patrol, and strengthen power lines in the area, according to Cal Fire.

There were no reports of injuries or damage to structures.

Cal Fire has not released the official cause of the blaze.
