I remember The Cantina. Great food, fun times. My dad saw a mouse there once and crushed it with his shoe. No big deal.

I worked at Longs corporate office on Civic and Ygnacio. We used to walk to the Cantina for lunch all of the time. Was excellent food, reasonably priced and had great margaritas (after work, of course 🙂 The good ‘ol days…..

‘I miss the ol fun times at Cantina. Maria Maria has failed us due to poor hiring practices..

Like others here it was a favorite lunch and after hours place for the folks I worked with in Walnut Creek. Yes the food was good and reasonably priced. Sometimes after a company softball game we would hang out on their “patio” which overlooked the creek.

That was the place at Broadway and Lincoln, right? Ate there a few times.

Yes, loved the place. Original Taco Tuesday

Jim and I used to go there occasionally when we were dating. One bad experience with some very drunk people in the bar area on a Taco Tuesday. That was our last time there.

Never been to the replacement restaurant Maria Maria.

Went there a couple times. Nice crowd, very cool setting. My nose tells me not to eat at Maria Maria (I ride through that intersection often). Also, remember A&W across the street on Broadway?

We used to go there all the time. It was great, as was Maria Maria when it first opened. Now at Maria Maria the floors are filthy, the service is terrible, the food is iffy and there is a constant layer of grease that permeates the whole place. We’re waiting to see what the next restaurant that goes in there will be and hopefully it will be better and stay that way.

We loved loved loved Cantina. Went there all the time, even before we moved to Walnut Creek. We have been to Maria Maria once, maybe twice. We really miss the Cantina!
