It’s just getting worse and worse here.

It might be, but that doesn’t change the fact that Concord is one of the best places to live in the Bay Area for families.

@concord ygancio
What does that say about the Bay Area?

Exactly, Martin

This motel is such a mess. I wonder why there aren’t more shootings here.

Concord is only going to get worse with all the high density housing they have planned in the downtown area.

Has Tom Bodett been notified?

Cheap hotels in areas that are not a tourist destination in naboroors usually have a lot of shady stuff going on. They tend to be used a lot as a place you can go to , to have privacy for your affairs, drug use that sort of thing reather than a place to stay when your in town.

OMG I’m just up the street from there. That place has gone down hill for years. If knew of anyone looking for a nice motel to stay I wouldn’t recommend that place.

One night I was mad at my roommate and feeling unappreciated so I decided to stay out late, maybe even even over night. So I started looking for a motel. Let ’em worry about good ole reliable me for a change. I settled on the Motel 6 in Walnut Creek. When kids in the 1950s, we had stayed in Motel 6 while traveling across country. They weren’t glorious, but they were generally clean and relatively quiet And it was Walnut Creek in the early 2000s, so I thought, “How bad could it be?” So, I checked in and went to my room.

It was Party City! Prostitutes were coming and going all night, in and out of the other rooms. Somebody had their tv cranked up and the drinks were flowing. Rowdy drunks were everywhere. Cars parked right beneath the windows were hauling sass in and out of the lot all night. The whole place was jumpin’! I turned on my tv but it didn’t help. I also brought some ear plugs, but they were useless, too. I went home in the morning completely exhausted like I had partied all night, reevaluated my opinion of Motel 6, slept all day, and considered it a really important learning experience.

That’s because most of those people weren’t from WC and it has such a great reputation that people from bad areas will go there looking for a place to stay where the bullets aren’t flying.Why would WC ‘ers stay in a WC motel?They don’t need to.

Through the ventilation system, I could tell somebody was smoking weed that night. But, then Walnut Creek was the capital of weed culture in the 1970s, and likely always will be. It’s the liberal way.

Born & raised in Concord. Almost 50 years. A great place to grow up back then but what a disappointment now. The City’s run of poor leadership and their desire for high density housing and poor long term planning have created a mess. Somehow WC & PH have thriving restaurants and retail. Concord can’t keep up their roads or retain businesses or incentivize the many strip malls to make themselves relevant again. What happened to 10 year planning budgets and “where families come first?”

I’ll tell you what happened, everything fell apart when Helen Allen left.
