Back when there were only 3 area codes for the entire bay area 415, 408 & 707.
Used to be a great boxing venue.
Was able to go and see the 1988 Olympic Boxing trial finals at the Pavilion and meet Hall of Famer Lou Duva.
Bring it back please.
Boxing used to be a high school sport in the mid-1900’s. I have a friend who boxed in high school, then he went on to become a Sovereign Citizen.He refuses to get a Social Security card of governmental ID since he says this would give them jurisdiction over him. He is in his 70’s and lives in the woods.
I got a concussion in “Dodge Ball” on the rainy days we were forced to play it in that Gym in 1971!,,,In 1976 they allowed Boxing!??? In 1961 I got to watch “Gillettes Saturday Night Fights” on T.V, and saw Cuban Boxer “Kid Parrett”, killed on live B/W T.V. by American boxer E. Griffith!
