Thank you, I hate pulling up to a stop and smelling marijuana with kids in the car… time & place for everything and driving isn’t it.

43% of the vehicle stops had vehicle code violations indicates this needs to be stepped up and enforced better. I see many of these daily as I’m sure many others do too.

To be clear; 43% of the vehicles STOPPED had code violations. Since this was not a checkpoint, they could only stop cars for an observed violation or probable cause. So someone either performed a “California stop” or had a busted tail light. We have no idea how many vehicles got eyeballed during this event; hundreds at least, possibly thousands. From that number they found 24 they could cite. The other way to look at this is they stopped 32 cars (57%) and did nothing… so why were they stopped in the first place?

2?? Lol that’s it ? That’s good that shows Uber and Lyft are probably helping decrease this. Now can you guys focus on more important crimes like the heavy drugs the bum issues in our city’s the human sex trafficking going on underneath your noses a.k.a. illegal immigration LOL like seriously I don’t really like paying high prices to live here because some detached Berkeley elite that watched one too many UNICEF seminars bribes/contributes to Gavin Newsom and his ilk. The conservatives are just as bad they conserved nothing. We need a dictator both sides are horrible we need somebody that gets things done Rome used to do it in times like this where there’s a huge political divide They were smart about it I believe the person only got a year or two and then it went back to the republic by law sure it’s far-fetched but look how our Congress works they don’t get anything done I’ve never seen them pass anything with common sense no matter who is president. If this continues it’s going to be chaos the roads are really bad guys like really bad the metering lights going to the city super bad the whole infrastructure needs to be rebuilt soon or at least added to or this is going to be an engineer a nightmare (already is lol) if we don’t do anything soon … and having more people come here is going to really mess things up more so than they already are

actually 2 is pretty good, but not because of uber…

Those working these events get paid overtime. Easy money whether they make an arrest or not. The gung-ho cops will make a bust, but others don’t want to because then the money isn’t easy… too much paper work…

How would you possibly know what goes on at one of those Patrol points?

Have you ever been to one?

Have you ever seen or talked to the officers on those assignments?

I believe if you had you would have a much different opinion.
