DeSaulnier Issues Statement On The Release Of The Redacted Mueller Report

April 18, 2019 14:03 pm · 121 comments

Congressman Mark DeSaulnier issued the following statement after Attorney General Barr released the redacted Mueller report to Congress:

“Attorney General Barr proved he is the president’s attorney, not the people’s. The Mueller Report lays out evidence that President Trump engaged in obstruction of justice and misconduct and tried to get his associates to do the same. Any attempt to say otherwise is an affront to the American people.

“Let’s not forget the purpose of this report was to investigate Russia’s interference in the 2016 election. Today, the report affirmed Russia meddled in our election in a ‘sweeping and systematic fashion.’ The Russians spent millions trying to get Trump elected President. A year out from the 2020 primary elections, we cannot allow for the normalization of foreign powers influencing our democracy. Congress must address this and the unprecedented actions taken by this Administration.”

BodyPolitic April 18, 2019 at 2:08 PM

Dear Mark,

As usual, you follow the party line. Thanks for your consistency: no original vision, opinion or direction. Can you at least try it once in a while, for us, your constituents?

Marc Miyashiro April 18, 2019 at 6:40 PM

I’m a constituent too, and I completely agree with the Congressman.
I believe Trump has committed multiple impeachable offfenses – observable behavior in the real world, forget the Mueller Report. I won’t debate you in an online forum, no time for that. But I thought I should state that Congressman DeSaulnier is accurately representing me. But thanks for sharing your opinion.

Me April 18, 2019 at 10:57 PM

Read the report and then come back and try again.

No Excuses April 18, 2019 at 11:01 PM

Someone really should advise Mark that constantly strutting that party goose-step is really bad for your knees…and never having an original thought doesn’t bode well for your political future.

Rollo Tomasi April 19, 2019 at 11:02 AM

@Marc:

Of course you’re too busy to list all the high crimes and misdemeanors of which you have evidence. But we’ll all still be here when your schedule opens up.

Fred P. April 23, 2019 at 2:57 PM

So let’s see the PROOF that the Russians “spent millions” trying to get Trump elected.

And let’s see the SPECIFICS of what they did in trying to get Trump elected.

Marky, you’re just another sore loser howling at the moon.

So, people “believe” that Trump has committed “multiple impeachable offenses.”

I guess a “belief” (ie, opinion) has more value than hard evidence. Just like the Kavanaugh hearings, the libs will try to destroy anything they don’t “believe in.”

To hell with facts.

HappyPappy April 18, 2019 at 2:09 PM

This moron isn’t just a fool, he’s a liar too.

Good job voters!

Mad Dog April 19, 2019 at 3:12 PM

Well said Happy!

Sick of it April 18, 2019 at 2:13 PM

This guy is a idiot. Nothing but a tool of the Democratic Party. Remember to vote him out next election

whatever April 18, 2019 at 2:17 PM

Ugh. Here we go again, “limited faculties Mark” spouting the literal party line.

NOW he changes the definition of the purpose of the report to ONLY investigating Russian interference, but for the past 2 years he’s been beating the drum of Trump collusion. Now that the report is out and their dream didn’t happen, we’re merely looking into Russian interference. I think almost everybody agrees there was Russian meddling, so you can’t move the goalposts after the report Marky Mark.

And why stop with the claim that Barr is the President’s attorney? Rosenstein is clearly on the take now too, and Mueller! Clearly the President’s Special Counsel! And the dozens of other investigators and attorneys involved, how deep does this syndicate go!!!

Turn the page loser.

MikeyV April 18, 2019 at 2:17 PM

Mark’s tears taste delicious, but I gotta say, I’m getting quite full from them.

Not really thirsty anymore.

This guy is a massive clown.

Phillydawg April 18, 2019 at 2:21 PM

Every one knew this Stevie wonder could have seen it,time to get the mob boss out!

Ricardoh April 18, 2019 at 2:36 PM

I agree Pelosi must go.

Weedeater April 18, 2019 at 2:23 PM

Typical liberal filth. The truth is shown and then comes the attempt to discredit it.

Frank April 18, 2019 at 2:26 PM

DeSaulnier once again proves he lacks critical thinking skills and just follows the party line. The democrats are running scared because they know that they are guilty of treason. The report certainly shows that the Russians attempted to influence the election however the influence they worked for both sides. There is absolutely no evidence of obstruction of justice, while the President was justifiably angry about the fraudulent investigation he cooperated fully because he knew it was a fraud. The Russians and before them the Soviets have attempted to influence every election since the 1930’s. While they did not succeed in the election this time they were successful in getting the democrats to try to destabilize the country, which is their real goal. DeSaulnier and his cohorts are still assisting the Russians in that endeavor. Meanwhile the democrats have had control of the House for over 100 days and have no accomplishments, another reason they have to keep harping on this issue.

Fred P. April 19, 2019 at 9:38 PM

@hand – you lose, buckwheat. Apparently that’s the best you can do…..” literally nothing you said is true……”

Back to your safe space, loser.

Fred P. April 19, 2019 at 9:55 PM

Sure as hell he follows the party line.

Take off your blinders.

Ricardoh April 18, 2019 at 2:30 PM

Mr Talking Points strikes out again. These people don’t have brains they are like windup toys. Every democrat politician is a bad joke. They don’t even try to hide it anymore. Hey Mark go but Nadler lunch someplace he looks hungry.

Ricardoh April 18, 2019 at 2:35 PM

The Russians tried to meddled in our election and it had no effect. Probably more than I can say for things we have done in foreign elections. Everybody tries that’s just the way things work. Everybody has skin in the game. The trick is to not let it mean anything.

Bud E April 18, 2019 at 4:18 PM

and Obama is probably to blame for 9/11 too

PH Dad April 18, 2019 at 8:42 PM

The U.S. meddles in foreign elections all the time. We tried to influence elections in Russia by supporting “democracy advocates “ and the Obama administration actively worked to defeat the sitting head of state of one of our strongest allies.
Use any search engine besides google and you can find extensive reporting on this.
BTW it was Israel that we tried to do this to.

Rollo Tomasi April 19, 2019 at 11:07 AM

@ PH Dad:

Not to mention the overt threat Obama directed at Great Britain in the lead up to the Brexit vote. The leftists here really do believe that attempts to influence foreign elections are unique to Russia.

Armon April 21, 2019 at 12:37 PM

How do you know Russian propaganda had no effect? I mean, Americans are pretty susceptible to marketing. Targeted advertising works for a reason. Propaganda, PR, Marketing, Covert Disinformation Campaigns whatever you wanna call it.. It works.

Evelyn Cunningham April 18, 2019 at 2:43 PM

The Russians interfered in the 2016 election while Barak Obama was president of the United States. He was in charge of this country. Why did he let the Russians mess with our elections? He knew about it, he let it go on, he said or did nothing the whole time it was happening. Trump had nothing to do with it and profited 0 from it. That’s what this whole 2 year investigation was all about. Collusion with Russia to win the election. There was no collusion, but so what, we’ll rag on and on about it anyway. A proven witch hunt from start to finish. Let Trump do what he was elected to do. Who in their right mind would not want to stop a phony witch hunt? But it did not stop. Let that sink in. And the millions of dollars more spent than had to be spent to keep it going. Have a nice day.

Loretta Bauer April 18, 2019 at 2:48 PM

Look. How could thete be obstruction if collusion was not proved? Trump was fairly elected. Most intelligent free thinking people never bought the collusion delusion. You lost. Now get back to work. Remember, you for us!

Bud E April 18, 2019 at 4:17 PM

he lost the popular vote by 3 million

Liar! Liar! April 18, 2019 at 4:34 PM

Your President won the vote that mattered, and Hillary lost! Now, like the lady said, get back to work.

Xennial April 19, 2019 at 3:11 AM

Q; How could there be obstruction if some-other-crime is not proved?
A: By obstructing justice. The same as how you can be convicted of fraud if you defraud or theft if you steal. Obstruction of justice is a crime, look it up.

T. Payne April 19, 2019 at 7:05 AM

@Bud E: The popular vote doesn’t matter, it never has. The electoral collage was established to prevent the tyranny of the mob and it is doing it’s job. Otherwise every president would be elected by California and New York and every other state wouldn’t matter. Remember we are a federal republic, not a democracy.
The Senate exists to put all states on an equal footing, while allowing population to dictate the amount of seats in the House. So you have mob rule in the House, and a more moderating force in the Senate to keep the mob in check. I wouldn’t want to live in this country if the mob ruled everything, we would be at the mercy of what is popular to the loudest group, rather than what is best for the country.

Yves Harlowe April 19, 2019 at 7:47 AM

Stop with the popular vote thing. It doesn’t matter, we don’t care. This is a republic with individual states. It’s not one big amorphous blob of a country with a direct democracy. Direct democracy is mob rule.

Dr. Jellyfinger April 19, 2019 at 8:06 AM

So why do you think the Democrats are trying to get rid of the Electoral College?

The answer is simple…. if you can’t win the game, change the rules!

It’s a power grab. It’s always a power grab with the left… and destroy all opponents by any means, because the end justifies the means….like using phony dossiers to secure FISA warrants to spy on political rivals, demanding investigations of crimes that never occurred or evading congressional oversight by using private (aka – secret) servers….. and there’s more!

Bud E April 19, 2019 at 3:17 PM

@T. Payne
so instead we are held hostage by Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Florida. My vote should count just as equally as everyone else’s, and with the current situation it does not. The orange fraud should not be in office. He is a liar, a cheat, an adulterer, and a bully. He does not represent a majority in this country and needs to go

THE BLACK KNIGHT April 20, 2019 at 5:02 PM

It’s much easier to fix what is wrong with the Electoral College, than it is to abolish the Electoral College, the fact is that we don’t have enough Electors for the modern era!

Congress used to reapportion the number of seats in the House of Representatives 2-years after every census to adjust for population growth and the addition of new States to the Union, but the last time this was done was in 1912, where the number of seats was capped at 435 voting members. Since 1912, we’ve added more than 230 million people to our population and 2 states, but no permanent increase in the number of voting members. It’s time we add more seats to the House of Representatives so that state-to-state district populations are more equally represented. We should increase the size of the House of Representatives from its current size of 435 voting members and 6 non-voting members to 927 voting members and 19 non-voting members representing D.C., the portion of D.C. returned to Virginia, and the territories.

The U.S. Senate is meant to “equally represent the states,” the 17th Amendment was ratified allowing for the direct election of each states 2 U.S. Senators, replacing the previous method of election to the U.S. Senate by the State Legislatures of each state. In recent years we’ve seen many “wave elections” that changes the party controlling the Senate, but the 6-year terms of Senators prevents each states voters from electing a U.S. Senator every 2-years, which prevents true “equal representation of the states.” We should increase the size of the U.S. Senate from 100 Senators to 150 Senators, allowing each state to have 3 U.S. Senators, which would allow each states voters to vote for a Senator every 2-years and have true “equal representation of the states” in the United States Senate, and 21 non-voting Senators to represent the interests of D.C., the portion of D.C. returned to the State of Virginia, and the territories.

If the size of the Electoral College was increased in size to more accurately represent the states and population of today, Hillary Clinton still would still have lost the 2016 Presidential election. Since 1964, which was the first Presidential election where we had 538 Electoral College votes due to the 23rd Amendment allocating 3 Electoral College votes to the District of Columbia. The elections since 1964 we’ve had 5 landslide elections, 1964, 1972, 1980, 1984 and 1988, where the winning candidates won between 40 and 49 states/district of the 50 states and D.C., we’ve had 8 average elections, 1968, 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012, and 2016, where the winning candidates won between 27 and 33 states/district of the 50 states and D.C., and we’ve had 1 anomaly election, 1976, where the winning candidates won 24 states/district of the 50 states and D.C. With Hillary Clinton having won 19 states, D.C., and splitting Maine with Donald Trump, she still wouldn’t have won an updated Electoral College simply because she won so few states. My calculation is based off of the 2010 census numbers with 1,080 total Electoral College votes, with each state having 3 Senators and a minimum of 2 Representatives, with Representatives calculated at approximately 3 Representatives for every 1 million in population, this would give Wyoming and D.C. each 5 Electoral College Votes, each an increase from 3 Electoral College Votes currently, and California with 115 Electoral College Votes, an increase from 55 Electoral College Votes currently. The result would’ve been 476 Electoral College Votes for Hillary Clinton to 604 Electoral College Votes for Donald Trump. Even if we removed 3 Electoral College Votes per state/district for Senate votes and based it on 927 Electoral College votes for House of Representative votes per state/district, calculated at approximately 3 Electoral College votes for every 1 million in state population, Hillary Clinton still would’ve lost the 2016 election, 413 Electoral College Votes to Donald Trump’s 514 Electoral College Votes.

Fred P. April 18, 2019 at 2:49 PM

And the liberals proudly brag that marky “represents” everyone in his district… but they FAIL to recognize that Trump is also their President.

Marky is just parroting the party line and continues to be unable to think for himself.

Useless as teats on a boar.

Go back to your safe space/sit in. You’re useless.

Now waiting for popcorn and randy to whine and call everyone “haters.”

You loser liberals are so predictable.

Definition of maroon:

1: A fugitive black slave of the West Indies and Guiana in the 17th and 18th centuries also : a descendant of such a slave
2 : A person who is marooned

Collusion, collusion, collusion, collusion, collusion ….oops….no collusion. Obstruction, obstruction, obstruction ….blah, blah, blah …..As Democrats scrambling in desperation you’d think they’d be trying to obscure the fact that Hillary and the DNC paid for an investigation and obtained a FISA warrant with false information.

Safety Second April 18, 2019 at 3:25 PM

Democrats, together with their incestuous partners (unions, mainstream media, the education establishment), are filled with so much hate that they will continue to hound this president no matter what. It’s so damn obvious. Stay strong Mr. Trump…You are truly a great American.

ManBearPig April 18, 2019 at 3:32 PM

Still can’t get over the fact that St. Hillary lost the election eh Mark?

There was no collusion. You, your minders, your party, and the liberal media have been telling that lie for 2 years. It’s done. Your party’s friend & man of integrity (Mueller) couldn’t find a smoking gun that the president committed an actual crime. Once he couldn’t spin it to suit your narrative, your party turned on him.

Funny how Eric Holder who gave guns to drug cartels, was found in contempt of Congress, and was Obama’s wingman was OK to be the president’s personal attorney. Gasp, the other party took a page from your party’s playbook and now your 2+ year old temper tantrum continues.

More Americans are working than ever before.
Fewer Americans are on food stamps than at any time in recent history.
The tariffs against China are hurting them more than it hurts us.
We’ve finally had sit downs with North Korea.
We’re pulling out of Syria where we never belonged
We’ve brought back jobs to our country that’s obama said would never come back.

Heck, I didn’t vote for trump but your party is making me want to support him! He’s succeeding where you and your party fail.

Let’s be honest, he’s not beholden to you, your kinders, or parties in general. His only REAL crime was being just that much less hated than Hillary in 2016. His “crime” was that he beat her in an election your party and liberal media rigged in her favor. Get over it.

Did I Say That Out Loud April 18, 2019 at 4:06 PM

We need to make being a former bartender disqualifying to be elected to Congress. That would take care of at least two idiots: Mark and AOC.

Ricardoh April 18, 2019 at 4:25 PM

That is funny. We have to understand though that not all bartenders are stupid.

Fred P. April 19, 2019 at 9:31 PM

So is this where you and the rest of your cronies are going to deal with the immigration issue that you are allowing? This is your foreign interference.

Mountainside Jay April 18, 2019 at 3:45 PM

Despite the lies of the conservative ultra-partisans and the dissembling of the administration, there has never been a clearer case for impeachment, and this nation will be blessed when Donald Trump is in chains.

Noj April 18, 2019 at 4:02 PM

Uh, no.

Read pages 186-191 of the Mueller report for yourself.

They are referring to the ongoing investigation of TREASON by Hillary Clinton.

Hope I didn’t ruin your day.

Liar! Liar! April 18, 2019 at 4:04 PM

There was no collusion, and your president has been totally exonerated! You only call for impeachment because Hillary lost and you can’t stand it!

Rollo Tomasi April 19, 2019 at 11:21 AM

Really? Check out the Starr report. No less than eleven actions characterized as grounds for inpeachment of Bill Clinton, including perjury and witness tampering. The Republican House went ahead with impeachment. Check out what happened to Republicans in the following election. Knock yourselves out.

Fed UP April 18, 2019 at 4:01 PM

Where was his outrage over Hillary’s private server and classified emails? How about the DNC essentially ensuring that Bernie couldn’t get support because they wanted Hillary? The Clinton’s got away with Whitewater, Travelgate, etc and the Dem’s didn’t get upset while all of the people around Clinton went to jail…but of course they had nothing to do with it.

Perhaps Mark should run for President too…he could wait until he’s the 20th Dem to declare and claim there’s significance to that.

Née nee April 18, 2019 at 4:05 PM

If TWITLER Wasn’t guilty why would he say when Mueller was assigned that my Presidency is F…ED And what is he hiding about not showing his tax returns big red flag heading over can’t wait to see what Mueller has to say when he asked to testify

Noj April 18, 2019 at 4:11 PM

1. It’s exactly what I would’ve said. President Trump knew this would be a Democrat road block to his wonderful and much needed agenda.

2. No law says he must provide his tax returns.

Now let’s talk about Hillary and TREASON.

Or is that what you’re afraid of talking about?

Clayton Mom April 18, 2019 at 11:28 PM

Nee nee – Trump said that because he knew that it was going to impede his ability to get things done. He had set a timeline for getting things done, and an investigation would slow things down.

Rollo Tomasi April 19, 2019 at 5:21 PM

@nee née:

I don’t blame you. The leftist media has been reporting various statements by the President without context for years now. Just try to do a better job of getting all the information you can get from numerous sources. By the way, the Mueller report also included Trump’s reasons for saying it, but that didn’t get reported by CNN or MSNBC, did it?

Paul April 18, 2019 at 4:09 PM

I pray Barr has the sack to now open an investigation that will pull back the curtain of this sham that anyone with a shred of intellectual honest and half a brain has known for 2+ years: that unelected bureaucrats in the DOJ, FBI, and IC were so offended by the election of Trump that they decided to “right that wrong” by literally attempting to frame a sitting President.

This simply could NOT have occurred without the tacit if not expressed consent of Loretta Lynch, if not Obama himself. Clapper, Brennan, Comey, et al. used their “insider” knowledge of DC to employ the dossier they knew was fake in order to obtain FISA warrants, and get the dossier into the public domain as the pretext they knew would ultimately lead to a Special Counsel.

Also hope Barr investigates the “investigation” into Clinton’s server. You unhinged leftists want obstruction? Let’s try multiple instances of destroying evidence UNDER SUBPOENA, to include deleting 33K emails which, again, were under subpoena, and the FBI allows you to just say “oh they weren’t relevant”…and they’re cool with that??? Then again, no surprise since these were the very same FBI agents who texted about how great Hillary was, how much they hated Trump, and oh yeah wrote her exoneration letter 2 months PRIOR to even “interviewing” her, while also changing the criminally-triggering term “grossly negligent” to “extremely careless”.

And you want Russian collusion? Hmm, who was it that gave approval for Uranium One, then magically over $100 million from—among others, RUSSIANS—ends up being “donated” to their foundation? And who funneled money from their campaign through a law firm that eventually paid a FOREIGN AGENT to continue and finish the dossier, which relied heavily on RUSSIAN GOVERNMENT sources? HINT: It’s not Trump.

Clayton Mom April 18, 2019 at 4:15 PM

DeSaulnier’s statement should not be a surprise to anyone who has watched him morph from a servant of the people to a minion of Pelosi’s.

SHUT UP MARKY!!!!

SF oh April 18, 2019 at 4:48 PM

Hey Mark, So “Congress must address this …..” ??? You’ve addressed it for two years. It’s over – you lost – give it up. How about Congress addresses the ridiculously high gas prices. How about finding out what this mystery gas fee is and who is benefiting from it. How about addressing the homeless crisis. The border crisis. Crime. Drugs. I could go on all day listing things that Congress MUST address. Wasting more time on a vendetta against Trump isn’t one of them.

Fred P. April 19, 2019 at 10:12 AM

Hey if they can make the case, I have no problem seeing Hillary charged, heck it would make me smile. And while I’m only 1/3 through the report two things come immediately to mind. The first is the only thing that seemed to keep a conspiracy from actually happening was the number of utterly incompetent people Clown Baby Traitor surrounded himself with. In fact the only person so far that doesn’t have his head up his a$$ is Don Jr. which surprised me. Floored me,really. The second thing that strikes me is what a shi**y lawyer Cohen is. I get that protecting Trump from Trump is a tall order, but come on. No wonder Trump stiffed him on legal fees.
Starting on the Roger Stone stuff after dinner. So far it’s reading like “The Gang That Couldn’t Shoot Straight”.

Including contractors (builders). He has always been a con man, even brags about it in “Art of the Deal.”

It’s funny in a sad kinda way. An orange game show host who lies as he breathes, has shown not one instant of loyalty to anything or anybody in 70+ years, a moral and physical coward, has become the darling of Faux-Fox-Conservatism. William F. Buckley must be rolling over in his grave. Sideways.

Useless. And I guess the Democrats are happy with his sit-in stunt a couple of years ago.

Childish…. with no disrespect towards children.

Forsythe April 18, 2019 at 5:39 PM

I am appalled that Congressman Mark DeSaulnier is not owning up to the part he played in spreading the Russia Hoax through his press releases and statements to the public.

Former President Obama, former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, former CIA Director John Brennan, James Comey, and others will find that the tables are turned. They will be in the hot seat in the days to come. And some of them will have criminal charges brought against them. They believed that the American people were dumb enough to let them get away with using their intelligence apparatus to overturn the results of the 2016 election.

They attempted soft coup against President Trump, and it failed.

Bob Foo April 18, 2019 at 7:21 PM

Modern progressives and Democrats are so delusional that they literally refuse to accept anything that doesn’t fit their ideal narrative.

From Reddit:

“After reading a good chunk of the Report, I’m convinced now that the main goal was not to indict President Trump or his team but rather to sow doubt for the 2020 race and to cover up Hillary’s crimes. Here’s the rundown:

Sowing Doubt:

Mueller’s team complains on Page 10 about lack of evidence and claims it prevented them from reaching a verdict. This is completely baseless. After interviewing hundreds of witnesses and tens thousands of hours of work, no evidence was found. That indicates President Trump and his team are 100% innocent. They know this too, so they are pretending the goal was to prove innocence. That is never how a prosecution works.

There is no legal reason for Mueller to include the phrase on Page 78, “This is terrible. This is the end of my Presidency.” That’s hearsay as it came from someone else and there is no legal justification for its inclusion in the document when the goal was to determine whether a crime was committed or not. It’s a salacious quote for the media and Democrats.

(incidentally, if you want to know how we know Trump’s team did NOT collude with the Russians, check out page 145 where Hope Hicks and Jared Kushner try rather ineptly and humorously to verify an email and phone call from Russian officials. We’re supposed to believe they were secretly colluding behind closed doors with the country? Give me a break).

Cover up:

On Page 36 the Report insists that the DNC was hacked by the GRU. There is no indication that Mueller or his team personally reviewed the physical DNC server or what kind of investigation was conducted. The DNC refused to show the FBI their server upon request. To date, the only people who are known to have had access to the server is a private company called CrowdStrike.

On Page 48 Mueller insists that Seth Rich is not the source of the emails but fails to produce any reason why Seth Rich is not the source. It was a mere namedrop.

Seymour Hersh is not mentioned at all. Hersh is a NYTimes reporter who named Seth Rich as the source of the Wikileaks emails.

On Page 25 Mueller’s team played up the influence of alleged Russian Facebook and Twitter ads while downplaying their pro-Hillary posts.

On Page 152, Mueller claimed Russian government officials and businessmen immediately went about to work with Trump after he won. What Mueller doesn’t appear to mention is that alleged Russian accounts worked against Trump as soon as he won. In fact, they were promoting Mueller and the Russian investigation (imagine that!). You can see evidence of the tweets here and here.

There’s not a single mention of Tony Podesta or Podesta Group

The Steele dossier appears to be mentioned only in passing. No detailed investigation into the veracity or origins. Remember this is supposedly a dossier with a source directly from the Kremlin. Seems relevant.

No apparent mention in the entire document about the State Department emails that were hacked in 2016. It seriously appears that Russia did hack those (the official who was hacked was tasked with studying Russia). Why no mention of this very real hack?

There you have it. I know this report vindicates Trump, but it’s also a massive coverup. They want to bury Seth Rich for good and they want to cement in the minds of every American that Russia hacked the election to help Trump while downplaying the anti-Trump activities of these other alleged Russian accounts.”

Get over it, people. Trump may be a doofus sometimes, but he is innocent. Your mainstream media lied to you for over two years.

Dennis April 18, 2019 at 7:25 PM

Due to the insane focus on all this Mueller report, Russia meddling, collusion, obstruction BS, socialism threats, open borders etc I will never be able to even consider voting liberal again. I voted for Obama, TWICE even, and I now know I will never vote liberal again. You liberals have done a fine job of making my mind up for me, for good! I have a handful of friends who feel the same way. Democrats are losing voters with this agenda, not gaining them. Trump 2020 MAGA!!!

Dr. Jellyfinger April 18, 2019 at 7:49 PM

You didn’t leave the Democrats Dennis… they left you when they adopted their radical, Socialist agenda.

The Wizard April 18, 2019 at 7:51 PM

Dennis, I feel the same way….Trump 2020 MAGA!!!

Amy April 18, 2019 at 7:49 PM

It’s amazing to me that Marky got enough votes to win his seat. What do the liberals use for brains? No critical thinking skills?

Dr. Jellyfinger April 18, 2019 at 7:54 PM

Eric Holder – From 4/4/2013

“”I’m still enjoying what I’m doing, there’s still work to be done. I’m still the President’s wing-man, so I’m there with my boy. So we’ll see,” Holder said in an interview on the Tom Joyner radio show”.

Where was the criticism then?

Paul April 19, 2019 at 9:03 PM

They scored too many points on the intersectionality chart (Democrat, Leftist, AND BLACK, hooray yippee!!!) for any criticism to be allowed…of course that’s not speaking of the MSM that was engaged in an 8-year-long makeout session with Saint Obama and would NEVER have a critical word to speak of their deity.

The Wizard April 18, 2019 at 7:59 PM

Mark DeSaulnier, you owe us Americans a apology for lying for the last two years about this Russia crap. You and your party should be ashamed of your self to undermine this great country.

Steven Powers April 18, 2019 at 8:47 PM

Never voted for him , always had a comment after the facts. Be original and voice your opinion and not be a sore loser … term limits

Boneguy1 April 18, 2019 at 8:59 PM

Mark’s statement proves he is not only a partisan hack. He is an immoral opportunist (ask him about infanticide which he supports), an Anti-Semite (why does he support Illan Omar) , anti female (ask him why he supports transgenders playing women’s sports), and a pervert (ask him why he supports men claiming to be women using female locker rooms and bathrooms facilities).

Then ask yourself why he does not respect the rule of law and the laws governing the institution and conduct of the AG which Mr. Barr upheld today?

He is a disgrace

ConcordRez April 18, 2019 at 9:43 PM

I agree with Marc Miyashiro. I am grateful that Mark DeSaulnier represents us. I was volunteering at DVC student elections yesterday and saw his staff getting ready for an important meeting he will hold Tuesday on race relations.

Bob April 18, 2019 at 10:18 PM

JFK: We choose to go to the Moon

Mark: We choose to reject reality.

Gittyup April 18, 2019 at 10:42 PM

Miller was so busy he issued a newsletter maybe once or twice a year. Why does DeSaulnier feel compelled to issue his comments on everything concerning Trump? Has he nothing else to do? Does he think we care what he thinks? Seriously, I am concerned about the mental health of most Democrats. They have become the angry pit bulls of our elected representatives. Just let go of it, DeSaulnier.

Up to Here April 18, 2019 at 10:47 PM

My family were all democrats until Obama and his criminals took over. Anyone who votes for the Socialist Democrat party should just pack their bags and head for Cuba or Venezuela, now

Reality April 19, 2019 at 1:54 AM

Wow, all the comments against Mark. MARK WON BY A LANDSLIDE! Who ran against him? John Fitzgerald. A neo-nazi and anti-semitic. He didn’t have the decency to make a statement of his policies in the voters guide. Ballotpedia says it all. https://ballotpedia.org/John_Fitzgerald_(California). I bet you all voted for him which says a lot about you. You lost! Deal with it. Republican Party picks only the best! Like Trump. Sore losers.

SF oh April 19, 2019 at 9:50 AM

@Reality – Your election recap shoots down the myth that Trump voters – aka Deplorables – are all neo-Nazis and racists. Otherwise they would’ve supported Fitzgerald. In most elections, voters have to choose the lesser of two evils. Like Feinstein vs.
DeLeon…. Which one will do less harm? Prob Feinstein- so she won. Whichever “side” wins, it would be refreshing to see our representatives , at least, pretend to work for ALL constituents.

Liar! Liar! April 19, 2019 at 10:01 AM

Fitzgerald didn’t realize that the Democrats were the party of neo-nazis and anti-semitics. Otherwise, he would be one of those bold Democrat freshmen congressmen supporting hate and terror.

Fred P. April 19, 2019 at 10:06 AM

@reality…

Speaking of sore losers.. ever see the quantity of sore loser democrats on this blog?

Or are you just conveniently igniting your hypocrisy?

If Democrats didn’t have double standards, they wouldn’t have any standards.

Gittyup April 19, 2019 at 10:30 AM

The rumors about Fitzgerald were a smear campaign by DeSaulnier’s “By Any Means Necessary” supporters who are people without conscience. They don’t care who they hurt or how they do it. They will do anything, and I do mean anything, to silence the opposition and further the radical left agenda. Any one who doesn’t agree with them is a Nazi. And, anyone who might unseat one of their darlings, like DeSaulnier, gets the royal treatment.

One has only to view the video of Yvette Felarka during their march on Sacramento to see how they operate. They targeted a guy standing there minding his own business who happened to verbally disagree with them and Felarka started beating him up for it. Gentleman that he was he ran from her because having been well brought up, he didn’t want to hit a woman in order to fend her off. When he ran, she sicced her goons on him who then threw him to the ground and beat him mercilessly. It is how they operate.

Because Fitzgerald presented a clear challenge to DeSaulnier, the “By Any Means Necessary” group targeted him with their usual “Nazi” character assassination model. It was confirmed by the fact that DeSaulnier did not condemn this clear example of Democratic dirty politics.

See for yourself the episode in Sacramento, and how the group behaves when they encounter someone who disagrees with them:

@Reality. An intelligent Repubican would know better than to run against District 11’s Democrat machine. I often vote Democrat. I really have no choice. It’s a matter of damage control. But, I did not vote for either Congressional candidate in the last election.

As Nancy Pelosi said last week:

“a glass of water WOULD WIN with a ‘D’ next to its name” in districts like her own and AOC’s.” And District 11.

Question: would an intelligent, principled, moderate, Democrat be able to unseat Mark? Or has the Democrat party become so corrupt that it instead prefers self-serving, easily controlled, mental midgets?

sideline April 19, 2019 at 5:33 AM

He should have stayed with TR’s

4th generation CCC April 19, 2019 at 10:49 AM

I am really surprised about all the hate and vitriol against Mark and Hillary on this post.
Politics are important and you should understand both sides and using gross overgeneralization of each party is kind of weird.
Okay, I’m taking a poll: How many of the posters here have been thrown out of TR’s?

Fred P. April 19, 2019 at 9:28 PM

Likewise, politicians need to understand both sides. Marky doesn’t understand that. His idea if bipartisanship is “do it my way.”

Think about it.

From personal experience, Marky has NEVER been willing to listen to opposing views.

Period.

RANDOM TASK April 19, 2019 at 10:53 AM

So you are greatful for de slacker
Because his staff is setting up at DVC
So hey de slacker when you try and post on here to bolster yourself
Do it with some class and a little more imagination.
Those who say you won by a landslide and pat their backs for said statement
Do realize that we know this is a socialist run state and that Inept representatives who are over taxing you and not providing anything for it

They promised high speed rail lol and we found out it was a scam and not within any reasonable sense of being done or even feasible
…you accept bad roads and bridges and failing schools high taxes high gas prices high corruption
Yes we are few but we believe America and capitalism can come back to demifornia so we can be free and not be under the thumb of a one party system that rules by placing everyone on gov assistance programs and then threatens to take them away if you don’t vote dem

“CNN” says: obama “knew” about the Russian interference during his presidency and told the CIA to stand down. Could it have been cause he thought it would help hillary???

Where’s the outrage? A sitting president “LET” it happen!

Liar! Liar April 20, 2019 at 2:07 PM

Bash former-president Obama who should have protected our elections from foreign intervention but chose not to, because he thought it would help Hillary.

Been around awhile April 23, 2019 at 1:59 PM

Why are so many right wing zealots following Donald’s penchant for hateful name calling? Witness the above vitriol for DeSaulnier.

Do they think that infantile behavior is a substitute for rational political engagement?

Why do they continue to vilify Obama and Hillary these years later.

By the way, DeSaulnier got the votes. Seems his constituents have continued to approve of his political positions

Fred P. April 23, 2019 at 2:53 PM

Why are so many left-wing zealots (including members of Congress) throwing out insults against Trump? Why are so many left-wing zealots demonstrating/vandalizing/shouting down opposing viewpoints? You know, the party that claims tolerance, diversity, etc… and (in practice) DOESN’T???

Do they think infantile behavior is a substitute for rational political engagement?

Before you throw out you accusations, better look at what your own party is doing.

No surprise that DeSaulnier got the votes. He ran on George Millers coattails as a democrat in a democrat district. The voters there would vote for anything with a (D) after it. They’d even vote for a water glass if it had a (D) next to it.

I take issue with your last sentence. If all of his constituents approved of his actions, he would have received 100% of the vote. The problem is, you have a vocal minority of conservatives which DeSaulnier continues to IGNORE. Marky is supposed to represent the ENTIRE population of his district, not just those that voted for him.

Apparently, you haven’t “been around awhile.”

Try again, snowflake.
