If you haven’t turned in your taxes, you have until the end of the day to have them postmarked at the local post office.

The IRS considers a tax return filed on time if it is addressed correctly, has enough postage, and is postmarked by the due date.

  • April 15, 2019 – Federal tax return filing deadline
  • October 15, 2019 – Federal tax return extension deadline

For more information on mailing your taxes and to check local post office hours, visit USPS.com.

Just a friendly reminder that it isn’t too late to make your 2018 IRA contributions. The envelope must be stamped with today’s date for acceptance.

Also, it’s not too late to make 2018 contributions to certain business retirement plans. You have until today OR UNTIL YOUR EXTENSION to make a FULLY DEDUCTABLE contribution.
