Possibly best gift yo President Trump this holiday season and next two years will be Nancy Pelosi as majority leader of the House of Representatives.

No funding for the wall, no problem.
Every time there is an incident on the Border CLOSE that port of entry to all pedestrian and vehicular traffic for 24 – 48 hours.

After 6 month to a year of that Democrats will be offering truck loads of dollars so Border stays OPEN.

Natalie November 30, 2018 at 10:01 PM

About 62% of Americans oppose the wall. Opposition crosses party lines. It’s not just the general populace, but also there are Republican politicians who oppose the wall.

Smith December 1, 2018 at 7:49 AM

It worked for China. Trump has done an excellent job of stemming the tide of illegal immigration. Illegal immigrants enter the country as scofflaws. If an illegal immigrant will break this one first basic law, they will break many. It is inherent in their introduction to the country, and that from which all else follows.

HappyPappy December 1, 2018 at 10:31 AM

Let’s all be like Natalie and make up numbers too.

Rob December 1, 2018 at 12:36 PM

Closing the border every time there is an incident is as stupid as stopping all gun sales everytime someone is killed with a firearm.

mtzman December 1, 2018 at 1:59 PM

You’ve got a point, there, Happy. The opposition numbers I have seen are even higher, and the number of people who don’t believe Trump’s promise that Mexico will pay for it is even higher.

Rollo Tomasi December 2, 2018 at 2:24 PM

“Closing the border every time there is an incident is as stupid as stopping all gun sales everytime someone is killed with a firearm.”

If entering the country was a constitutionally protected right you might have a point.

Smith December 2, 2018 at 2:36 PM

Say what you will, Trump is getting the job done. Most of the illegal immigrants I know live in two-story, four bedroom houses and have illegal alien gardners and housekeepers. Some are so well off they even have the occasional cook. Reslly struggling now aren’t they. Great we gave them “asylum” from their evil country of origin that was forcing them to be wealthy.

JWB December 2, 2018 at 6:30 PM

@ Smith

As usual your story is complete BS. But just to show you talk about “illegals” and in the same breath tell us that they were granted “asylum”. Clearly you should try to at least be consistent are they illegal or were they admitted under asylum?

Where they wealthy in their country of origin, or did they become wealthy once they were here? If it is the latter how would their country of origin “forcing them to be wealthy”? if they were wealthy in their country of origin why were their gardeners and housekeepers “illegal” did you go and check their immigration status in country of origin of these asylum seekers?

If you talking about them here how do you know that they were granted asylum? or that they were illegals? Do you check their papers? or maybe they are not white and thus must be illegals?

The sad thing about your posting is that you’re probably not a troll and truly believe what you post.

wave November 30, 2018 at 5:22 PM

Trump is a damn liar…..also, why would anyone want to build a building in Moscow…and have a penthouse for Putin?

paranoid pablito November 30, 2018 at 7:07 PM

Can you name a politician who isn’t a liar?

Jim R December 1, 2018 at 11:12 AM

Here is the difference pp. Politicians lie for political gain (they want to be reelected). The President lies for personal economic benefit.

Smith December 1, 2018 at 1:22 PM

So, the President isn’t a politician? I beg to differ,

Dr. Jellyfinger December 5, 2018 at 9:24 PM

Yeah….. Trump needs more money…. right.

Elwood November 30, 2018 at 5:24 PM

Trump will walk.

Mueller will never lay a glove on him.

And remember: The House proposes. The Senate disposes.

House dimmiecrats will waste all their time on failed impeachment attempts and investigating rather than legislating.

Trump ’20! Four more years!

Nature Lover November 30, 2018 at 8:23 PM

Putin approves your assessment and is counting on you and your ilk.

Elwood November 30, 2018 at 10:30 PM

@Nature Lover

I don’t make the decisions dear, I just tell it like it is.

Nature Lover December 1, 2018 at 9:06 AM

Elwood time will tell,,,,I’m patient.

Jim R December 1, 2018 at 11:17 AM

Elwood, perhaps your high and mighty tone would work better if you understood what you are talking about. The House impeaches without any input from the Senate. The President can be impeached without being removed from office.

Smith December 1, 2018 at 1:34 PM

I can see it now … six more years of the Democrats getting absolutely nothing done … as usual … while they investigate every single little thing Trump does looking for the ever so slightest infraction. They are incapable of solving the country’s problems because of their penchant for dirty tricks, retaliation, and their obsession with Hillary losng the election.

Elwood December 1, 2018 at 3:20 PM

Jim R
Thank you for the 8th grade civics lesson. Pelosi’s majority is too thin she’ll never get the votes. Besides she is on record as opposing impeachment.

Fred P. December 1, 2018 at 7:33 PM

Uhhh, Jim r.

Elwood does know what he’s talking about. Perhaps we should put it in smaller bites so that you can understand.

And take YOUR condescending tone elsewhere.

Fred P. December 1, 2018 at 7:35 PM

And I sure don’t hear the liberals taking hillary to task for uranium one.

If not for double standards, the democrats would have no standards.

Rollo Tomasi December 3, 2018 at 8:18 AM

@ Jim R – I kind of hope the House does impeach. Name 20 republican senators that will vote guilty in order to get the super majority required to convict, and that’s assuming all 47 democrat senators get on board. It will be political suicide for the Dems.

Jim R December 3, 2018 at 9:28 PM

I don’t want the House to impeach either. I’d rather the trials start in 2021 so he can join members of his campaign and national security team behind bars.

Based on his choices for campaign and White House staff, along with his cabinet appointees and personal legal representation…what did the President mean when he said he would hire only the “best people”?

Atticus Thraxx November 30, 2018 at 6:05 PM

“I have no dealings with Russia, I have no deals in Russia, I have no deals that could happen in Russia because we stayed away.”

Trump in Jan. 2017.

Dr. Jellyfinger November 30, 2018 at 10:52 PM

“And yet a deal was never struck, neither then nor in 1996, when the Moscow real-estate market really cranked up and Trump tried to bid on a renovation of Hotel Rossiya near the Kremlin. Nor did anything come to fruition in 2008 when Trump announced plans to build in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Sochi; nor in 2013, when he visited Moscow and said he was going to build a Trump Tower there with the help of Russian mega-developer Aras Agalarov. In June 2015, shortly before declaring his presidential candidacy, Trump bragged to Bill O’Reilly that, “I was over in Moscow two years ago and I will tell you—you can get along with those people and get along with them well. You can make deals with those people. Obama can’t.” At the time, it has since been reported, Trump’s surrogates Felix Sater and Michael Cohen were actively pursuing another real-estate development on Trump’s behalf in Moscow, but, by winter of 2016, that project was moot, too”.

Atticus Thraxx December 1, 2018 at 12:36 PM

With Mueller tightening the screws turns into:

….Lightly looked at doing a building somewhere in Russia. Put up zero money, zero guarantees and didn’t do the project. Witch Hunt!
1:59 AM – 30 Nov 2018 @realDonaldTrump

Randy November 30, 2018 at 6:42 PM

Trump is such a fool putting contradictory on his teitter. It will hand him. An I would sit in the front row.

Fred P. November 30, 2018 at 8:44 PM

Randy, you need to take some remedial English grammar, logic and spelling classes. You even blew it on a 4-word sentence.

Or are you just an example of liberal education?

Elwood November 30, 2018 at 10:32 PM

He’s either drunk or stoned.

Or maybe both.

wave November 30, 2018 at 9:16 PM

Just heard that George H.W. Bush passed away at age 94. May he RIP.

Susan I November 30, 2018 at 10:19 PM

Yes I just heard myself, God Bless you President Bush. Thank you for your service to our country.

Smith December 1, 2018 at 8:04 AM

So sorry to hear that. He was one of my favorite people. Mainly because of his comment shortly after taking office that now that he was President he wasn’t going to eat anymore broccoli. Not the slightest hint of inappropriate behavior during his or his son’s administration. Solid people, moral and upright. Rest in peace President Bush.

mtzman December 1, 2018 at 2:18 PM

Really, Smith? Not sure whether you’re speaking of the two Bushs individually or their administrations but both of them saw scandals and criminal indictments and convictions. Moreover, the elder Bush’s pardoning and sentence commuting of a number of Iran Contra defendants from the Reagan Administration was believed to have curtailed further investigation into his own culpability. Of course, neither of them compare to Nixon, Reagan, or Trump.

Smith December 1, 2018 at 2:36 PM

I’m speaking of Clinton-Newsom-like scandals. You know the type, tawdry on-the-job daliances with employees, occasionally behind their unsuspecting wives back, drug out for all the world to see in sordid detail, sometimes involving payoffs to the “accomplice” at taxpayer expense. You know the type, just your standard run of the mill lack of morals Democrat scandal.

Doh December 1, 2018 at 4:11 PM

I don’t see how anyone could vote Republican after the details of the Iran-Contra scandal were revealed. In 1980 the Republicans told Iran to hold onto the hostages until after the election and promised them weapon sales if they did. (Weapons would help Iran fight Iraq.) That alone is despicable with no regard for our embassy personnel. Then they sold weapons to Iran and funded the Contras in Nicaragua. Both acts were against US law. One of the first things Bush did in office was issue a blanket pardon for anyone involved in the scandal, which would include himself.

Fred P. December 1, 2018 at 7:39 PM

@doh….. speaking of no regard for embassy personnel….

How’s that Benghazi thing going?

There’s that old double standard again.

The Fearless Spectator November 30, 2018 at 10:24 PM

Pelosi is almost back as house speaker. Remember when Steve Croft on 60 Minutes confronted her about her conflict of interest IPO investments? She was almost speechless, well almost.

Smirh December 1, 2018 at 12:56 PM

But, did she ever stop waving her hands around? Looks like she’s getting a Navy jet ready for a carrier takeoff sometimes

Change December 1, 2018 at 12:27 AM

Arrest Hillary!

Law Dog December 1, 2018 at 7:19 AM

Trump 2020 and build that wall !

Concorejet December 1, 2018 at 10:07 AM

Think of the classic movie called “WarGame” The movie will be called “RussiaGame” The game is when Russia hacks into the 2016 election in order to help trump win the prudency but, Trump denies it and now Mueller goes and investigate the 2016 election interruption.

Chicken Little December 1, 2018 at 1:19 PM

I’m curious how you think Russia “hacked into the 2016 election”.

How many voting machines were compromised? How many votes did Russia change from Democrat to Republican? And how is anything they may have done any worse than the things our government has done to influence foreign elections?

Jim R December 1, 2018 at 11:24 AM

As a candidate, djt roasted President Obama for playing golf and told the American electorate he would be ‘too busy working for the American people to golf’. Liar.

As of 548 days in office (about 3 months ago) he had spent 174 days at Trump Properties and 131 at golfing properties.

Ricardoh December 1, 2018 at 7:19 PM

No one works harder than President Trump. Most of us could never keep up with him.

Rollo Tomasi December 3, 2018 at 8:59 AM

“…174 days at Trump Properties and 131 at golfing properties.”

First, that’s intentionally deceptive because a large number of Trump properties ARE golf properties, so to imply that the sum of those two numbers mean something is just stupid. Second, if you knew anything about a round of golf you’d know that cell phones function at golf courses and a vast amount of work can be accomplished, especially when you own the course and needn’t be concerned about course marshals badgering you about pace of play.

Randy December 3, 2018 at 10:33 AM

yea probably using an unsecured phone and talking loud enough that anyone can hear. Yes he’s that stupid.

Rollo Tomasi December 3, 2018 at 6:22 PM

If he’s not talking about classified information, so what?

Jim R December 3, 2018 at 9:13 PM

Rollo…little defensive aren’t you? Love to see where you feel I said anything about it being added together. The idea of getting so much work done on a course is only an idea, it bears no resemblance to the amount of work you can get done when you are actually at work.

The point is that candidate trump lied to the American people to get the job. During June 2015 the candidate said “I would rarely leave the White House because there’s so much work to be done. I would not be a president who took vacations. I would not be a president that takes time off.”

He also doesn’t appear to worry about how his visits effect the locals either. The local government has already spent about $1.3 million in police overtime when he ‘works’ down there.

Rollo Tomasi December 4, 2018 at 12:23 AM

What? A political candidate made a campaign promise that he or she hasn’t fulfilled? Why, that’s unprecedented!!! Alert the media!!!

This kind of crap is on par with the idiots that made fun of Obama’s big ears and thought it was scandalous that he was sneaking cigarettes behind Michelle’s back.

Smith December 5, 2018 at 2:55 PM

More business is conducted on the golf course than in the boardroom. It’s just a more comfortable way of doing so.

Law Dog December 1, 2018 at 11:50 AM

Lock her up !

Randy December 1, 2018 at 4:16 PM

Yes Ivanka should be in jail. What’s taking so long.

commoncents December 1, 2018 at 12:01 PM

Only people going to Jail are Trump and half his administration…

Rob December 1, 2018 at 12:37 PM

It is amazing how many Trump Admin folks were either found guilty, pleaded guilty, made deals before the first 24 months were done.

Smith December 1, 2018 at 1:10 PM

Surprise! Trump can pardon them the same way Obama pardoned a bunch if his scumbag friends.

Fred P. December 1, 2018 at 7:30 PM

Ok, “ commoncents….”

Of course, you’re an attorney who has all of the inside scoop, including all proof, documentation and rock-solid evidence.

Naw, you’re just another whiny liberal who is still sore about hillary LOSING!

Unless you have something to substantiate your statement, it’s just best that you go play on the freeway.

mtzman December 1, 2018 at 8:15 PM

Really, Smith? Name one …

Smith December 2, 2018 at 11:37 PM

@mtzman Willy McCovey pardoned by Obama on January 17, 2017, for tax evasion.

mtzman December 3, 2018 at 7:21 AM

Well, first of all, calling Willie McCovey a scumbag is probably not going to go over well, especially in the Bay Area, but do you have any evidence he and Obama were friends or even knew each other?

Smith December 4, 2018 at 4:39 PM

You are implying that people who commit income tax evasion are not scumbags? Granted, there was a painfully long list of scumbags Obama pardoned, and I just grabbed one of the most recent and prominent. In my opinion, the fact that Willy McCovey was so well regarded makes his crime even scummier. Is he a friend of Obama? He is now!

amieollie December 1, 2018 at 12:30 PM

I recommend to you all, Bill Clinton’s remembrance of George H.W. Bush in today’s Washington Post. Graceful, eloquent, and a reminder of what we once had, in contrast to our present circumstances. .

Nunya December 1, 2018 at 4:08 PM

guess you can put lipstick on a pig. if you care bill is the pig and the lipstick is his speech writers words.

p.s. bill rapes and hillary threatens the accusers

HappyPappy December 1, 2018 at 1:48 PM

Remember when, in 2012, geologist Big-ears Obama, poster child for the “peak oil” crowd, lied to us again claiming increased production was not a plan, but rather “a bumper sticker.” Big-ears assured us, “You know, we can’t just drill our way to lower gas prices,”
Well we did, just as those manufacturing jobs that weren’t coming back have come back.
So now Big-ears would have us forget what he said about the fuels of the past, as he massaged his ego one more time.
Obama woke up the other day and decided to take credit for another thing he had nothing to do with. He lied saying that companies like Solyndra were the hallmark of a future in which workers drove Chevy Volts, predicted that manufacturing jobs of the past could not be brought back, not only took credit for an economy he didn’t build, but also for the energy boom he opposed which is fueling it.
Sorry, Big-ears, but the lying idiot who blocked the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines doesn’t get to take credit for the oil that soon will be running through both. Nor is the jackass who opposed two technologies developed by private industry, fracking and horizontal drilling, get to take credit for the abundance they have produced,

We have President Trump to thank, not that lying, dithering phony.

Nunya December 1, 2018 at 8:00 PM

it is such a shame that some people are so easily tricked into hating him before they even take a moment to see the good he has done. if the comment is that he doesn’t behave like a president should, what about bill clinton or robert kennedy and their philandering and bill being accused of rape? how about bill having sex in the oval office or have some of you forgotten about monica? or that bill was impeached?

Silva December 1, 2018 at 3:08 PM

If they had raked the snow like they do in Saudi Arabia they wouldn’t have had the problem. The State of Alaska has to learn from their mistakes and stop the earthquakes.

Lance King December 2, 2018 at 8:29 AM

No matter your party affiliation, I’m appalled by the ad hominem attacks in this thread. Personal appearance should not be used as an attack vector. No matter what side you are on once you start attacking in that way, you begin losing the argument. Additionally, this thread has an huge lack of reference to any facts. Reference a historical event, share a link. Quote a number, share a link. We are all Americans and that means we should be trying to help and persuade each other of our views. If we stick to team red and team blue with every aspect of politics then it won’t matter who is governing. Please listen, fight fair and act like you care about your fellow American no matter who they vote for. I do.

Dr. Jellyfinger December 2, 2018 at 9:31 AM

“Please listen, fight fair and act like you care about your fellow American no matter who they vote for”

The operative word there is “act”… while you are “harvesting” ballots & still voting multiple times, posing as dead relatives and joining flash mob attacks on Conservatives (as your Socialist leaders have so ordered).
You can also just look the other way no matter how many times your failed Presidential candidate has sold influence, violated the espionage act and been so obviously exempted from obeying laws that would put ordinary citizens in jail for the rest of their lives.
All that is OK…. just no name calling, alright?

Silva December 2, 2018 at 11:59 AM

You must be new. Welcome. Feel right at home posting any facts you’d care to. A historical event, quote a number, share a link! It’s free and relatively painless.

Smith December 2, 2018 at 2:27 PM

@Lance Kng Politics thread was described to me as a “mosh pit” by someone on Whatever thread about 7 years ago. It’s a lot tamer now, so you can imagine how bad it was. The more insulting you could be the more credibility you had. After all, politics is a dirty business.

It also went through a period where anybody who was serious posted links to support their position. Then, everybody got tired of that and started slapping each other around, again.

That brings us up to the present where we endlessly have liberals trying to get something on Trump and celebrating because they think they finaly have, and conservatives laughing at their naivety. You might be just a little too tender for some of the rougher types lurking here. Just a friendly heads up.

HappyPappy December 3, 2018 at 11:20 AM

Lance King –
Were it not for the anonymity we enjoy when using this link those of us not inclined to agree with the lunatic liberals political views would risk their wrath. Conservatives can post comments knowing that the left wing crazies trolling here can’t attack us physically, picket our homes, boycott our business, harass our families, and bully us in restaurants, as has become one of the favorite past-times.

Nunya December 2, 2018 at 8:53 AM

Original G December 2, 2018 at 10:16 AM

Remains to be seen if GM’s announcement was a labor negotiating ploy or not. One thing sure is their propensity to build cars no one wants. Impala is a prime example, they finally got it right moving the gear shifter to the center counsel in 1996. Same year they stop making the full size Impala.

What they began building a few years back and called an Impala is a gross insult to the name Impala.

GM management may well be taught a lesson by the American consumer.

Original G December 2, 2018 at 1:48 PM

Ever wonder why President Trump supports Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House? IS likely she will be less of an impediment to his agenda than Paul Ryan was.

Then there is her laser focus command of facts,

West Texas Intermediate futures up 4.8 percent and Brent crude futures up 4 percent and DOW futures are up, at the moment, 1.7 percent after China and US made progress at the G20 meeting. Additional tariffs scheduled for implementation 01 Jan. 2019 have been put on hold for 90 days.

Four stock market trading days this week should be interesting.

But fear not, liberals will continue to snivel . . . .

Original G December 3, 2018 at 4:03 PM

Why is it some career politicians and especially liberal politicians want those with few job skills, some speaking no English, under educated allowed into the USA en-mass ?
Who in some cases will be exploited by those who sometimes give campaign contributions to politicians ?

‘Trafficked in America’ PBS Documentary

With numbers of homeless increasing in America why are politicians not devoting their time to homeless in the own home districts ? ? ?

Those with VALID asylum claims should be considered and their claims investigated.

I have yet to learn of a politician elected in the USA to represent citizens of a foreign nation.

Immigrants into our country should be accretive, (benefit our country) and not be admitted based on how they might vote in a future election or because an employer can employ them rather than an American at a higher wage.

“A majority of “non-citizens,” including those with legal green card rights, are tapping into welfare programs set up to help poor and ailing Americans, a Census Bureau finding that bolsters President Trump’s concern about immigrants costing the nation.

In a new analysis of the latest numbers, from 2014, 63 percent of non-citizens are using a welfare program, and it grows to 70 percent for those here 10 years or more, confirming another concern that once immigrants tap into welfare, they don’t get off it.”

Have over the years worked with qualified electricians from Poland, Greece, Venezuela, Russia, Canada and Mexico. None of them were ever on any welfare programs.

While the honorable WW2 veteran George HW Bush, (whatever you may have thought of him at the time) lies in state, in grace, with dignity, draft-dodger clown-baby-traitor just lies. What a contrast in character between the former and the later. RIP GOP! ;(

HappyPappy December 3, 2018 at 6:19 PM

What proof do you have that Trump was a draft dodger. I’d hate to think you’re just one more empty-headed big mouth hater who posts fake facts and outright lies. Why not clear this up by showing your proof.

Smith December 4, 2018 at 11:25 PM

Fred P. December 5, 2018 at 8:18 AM

Still stuck on insulting Trump? What happened to your mantra of inclusiveness, diversity and freedom of speech? They got tossed with the facts, huh???

We’re still waiting for the proof.

If nothing, then take your faux outrage to the kitty litter box where you’ll be happier.

HappyPappy December 5, 2018 at 12:45 PM

Smith & Fred P –
I believe our friend Thraxx may have made an error or perhaps he
“mis-remembered” the facts. There’s lots of that going around.

Fred P. December 3, 2018 at 7:57 PM

Facts, proof and hard evid MCE don’t matter to liberals. It’s all about how they “feel.”

Facts be damned… it’s what they “believe” that makes it so.

Jim R December 3, 2018 at 9:38 PM

Come on, the next fact you post may be your first. Six posts this thread alone with no facts, just attacks.

You say “Facts be damned… it’s what they “believe” that makes it so.”

Perhaps you could address the rights fascination with trickle down economics in light of your assessment of the left.

Fred P. December 4, 2018 at 10:30 PM

Yes, let’s take a look at Randy’s posts. All attacks, yet you don’t take HIM to task for doing the same thing.

Once again, you demonstrate the blindness of the left.

Our Governor elect is horrified about the humanitarian crisis with the migrant caravans. Says we will need more resources. Does he mean more tear gas? Well no , he’s very much offended by defending the border. What he means is he wants more money. In this one party state , he will get it, from us.

We will see a Governor with a hard left orientation , who hewes to every dumb lefty idea that comes along. He will be a fine leader of the democrats , rest of the folks will be ignored, or derided .

And it will cost all of us dearly. .

Original G December 4, 2018 at 10:23 AM

Need to remember governor elect silver spoon’s vast political expertise in dealing with problems was honed to it’s fine edge by the vast and almost unlimited supply of money of rich San Francisco.

IF he maintains his SF monied approach to dealing with problems do believe the grievous flaws of socialism will become evident.

Rest assured silver spoon and feckless members of state legislature will find creative ways to stick their hands in your pockets, pulling out cash to pay for their Utopian fantasies.

It’s gonna get expensive ! ! !

“Semper Latte: Obama causes firestorm by saluting Marines with coffee cup”

“‘It made him look like a butler’: Retired general blasts President Obama for ordering U.S. Marine to break military rules by holding an umbrella”

Smith December 4, 2018 at 11:15 PM

Trump is knowlegeable with regard to military protocol, unlike the bufoon who preceeded him in office.

Fred P. December 5, 2018 at 7:18 AM

Randy – go pound sand. You know nothing of military protocol, especially when it comes to the President. Don’t pretend otherwise.

And Melania standing there like a “stepford wifey?” You’ve got some serious jealousy issues, given the former resident(s) of the White House……It’s obvious when you have to stoop to namecalling like a petulant three-year-old.

Learn to construct sentences….obviously, you’ve failed basic bonehead English. Three sentences, and five errors.

And lastly – it’s GHW Bush. Not GWH Bush.

Keep crying….. you’ve got 6 more years of Trump, 8 years of Pence and a lifetime of conservative Supreme Court justices.

Fred P. December 5, 2018 at 8:04 AM

Remember when jugears “returned” a salute using his coffee cup when leaving Marine One? Didn’t hear you whining about that!

Randy – don’t EVER take Trump to ask when it comes to military matters. He’s head and shoulders above the moron who inhabited the WH before him.

The liberals love double standards….it’s the only standard they have…

Rollo Tomasi December 5, 2018 at 1:49 PM

In the absence of evidence to the contrary, at least President Trump can spell “salute”. Unlike Randy.

Randy December 4, 2018 at 5:25 PM

Roger Stone takes the fifth.

“If you are not guilty of a crime, what do you need immunity for?” Trump said at a campaign rally in Florida in September.

“The mob takes the Fifth Amendment,” Trump said at a campaign event in Iowa later that month. “If you’re innocent, why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?”

Enough said.

Elwood December 4, 2018 at 8:24 PM

Stone is neither a witness nor a defendant in any part of Mueller’s circus.

Enough said.

amieollie December 4, 2018 at 7:37 PM

According to a news story in The Washington Post today, President Trump took a stretch limo and an eight-vehicle motorcade to go 250 yards from the White House to Blair House, the presidential guest house, to greet George W. and Mrs. Bush. Just across Pennsylvania Avenue from the White House – 250 FREAKING YARDS. Don’t think it was the long-gone bone spurs. Rather, President Unindicted Co-Conspirator is deathly afraid that someone is going to take a shot at him. Story also mentioned that President Obama escorted a visitor on one, possibly two occasions from the White House to Blair House on foot across that perilous 250-yard territory and back again – no sweat. But then, former .President Obama is not a coward.

Elwood December 4, 2018 at 8:27 PM

President Kennedy thought the open car in Dallas was a fine idea!

Original G December 4, 2018 at 8:27 PM

You and WP should have common sense to realize The Secret Service would never allow movement without using Presidents armored and bomb proof limo especially on short notice.
A president goes nowhere without preplanned security measures being taken which take weeks of plann9ing.

OR would you prefer having Pence ? ? ?

“President Obama is not a coward.”

Smith December 4, 2018 at 11:06 PM

Story made the Washington Post look petty and desperate for news.

Fred P. December 5, 2018 at 8:09 AM

@amie – and what personal experience and knowledge do you have regarding the USSS and Presidential Protective Detail? Do you have copies of their policies and procedures? Are you privy to all of the aspects regarding security?

Please enlighten us….. or are your “facts” just culled from whatever rag you read, then you put your own spin on it?

Never mind, we know… you’re just another sore loser.

Fred P. December 5, 2018 at 8:15 AM

One other thought….

Look at who is perpetrating all of the violence these days….antifa, left wing nuts, etc…. They all came out of the woodwork when Trump was elected, so the USSS stepped up its security. A bunch of left-wing protesters demonstrating against Trump…and you didn’t see the violence against Obama….

Think about it…Or do we have to draw you a picture using large crayons?

Until amie can learn to think instead of just spouting off dribble that fits his/her own beliefs, it’s just best to ignore the liberal troll.

amieollie December 4, 2018 at 10:41 PM

@Or G Keep your links. We don’t bother with them. Always such a crashing bore. Endless posts of space-eating, eye-glazing, unreadable paragraphs. Yawn. So pleased we have the scrolling function – the better to get past the muck and on to something that might be of interest, like Mueller’s latest advance.

Elwood December 4, 2018 at 11:27 PM

Mueller will soon be advancing into retirement.

In the history books, his name will be synonymous with futility.

Nunya December 5, 2018 at 4:01 AM

@AM, snowflakes and libs all hate fatcs because it hurts their hearts. why haven’t you called us racists yet? lol

Fred P. December 5, 2018 at 7:07 AM

amieollie states “we don’t bother with them (referring to his links).

Is amie speaking for more than one dnc troll?

So if you’re complaining about “Endless posts of space-eating, eye-glazing, unreadable paragraphs”, why are you reading them? Nobody’s forcing you to read them. And don’t others have the right to post their own opinion? Or do you just allow others to post their opinions if they happen to agree with you?

Never mind – we know about your claims of diversity, inclusion, freedom of speech, etc. Seems to be the standard for the DNC.

As I said before – if liberals didn’t have double standards, they wouldn’t have ANY standards.

Smith December 4, 2018 at 11:16 PM

Great links today, OG.

amieollie December 5, 2018 at 11:10 AM

Whole lot of twitching and squirming going on this morning. Enjoy.

I beg your pardon.

FBI after reviewing 33 active shooter events reported armed citizens were NOT EFFECTIVE at stopping an active shooter and/or reducing the loss of life six percent of the time.

FBI Data Shows Armed Citizens Have 94% Success Rate
Stopping Would-Be Mass Shooters

WC Resident December 5, 2018 at 5:51 PM

Assume fake news when a web site such as commonsenseevaluation does detail the sources. I suspect the way they got 78.8% is homeowners shooting burglars and then claiming the perp posed a threat.

Rollo Tomasi December 5, 2018 at 6:15 PM

@ WC Resident:

Nice try. The FBI stats don’t consider your scenario an active shooter event.

mtzman December 5, 2018 at 7:05 PM

Actually, WC Resident was on the right track. The report was NOT produced by the FBI but by a Jacob Paulsen for, and if you read the comments from the website, even his supporters point out numerous errors and misleading statements.

Rollo Tomasi December 5, 2018 at 11:22 PM

Actually, my comment had nothing to do with the report. WC Resident made an ignorant and erroneous supposition in regards to the data used to generate the report. I provided a correction.

WC Resident December 5, 2018 at 11:33 PM

Thank you mtzman. The original report is at

While Paulsen’s writing is engaging I agree with you that people in the comments did a decent job of picking the data apart.

@OG – armed citizens engaging with an armed attacker or attackers happens so rarely is next to impossible to draw conclusions. Most fights and incidents are over in a few seconds. The guy took data from various sources (not always the FBI) and attempted to tease information out of it. If a trend were apparent, the FBI or DOJ would have written a report about it. To his credit, he provided his raw data set on

One surprise is that he has a column in his raw data for “Did unarmed citizen stop shooter” which is “yes” 29 times. He never talked about that and how it’s roughly similar to the 25 times an armed citizen stopped the shooter or the 31 times an armed citizen saved lives in his table.

One surprise in the data is the number of incidents per state. Why are low population states such as WA, CO, NV, WI, and MO near the top of the table? I should get the population for each state and do the numbers per 100,000 but here’s the raw data for the top 14 states (7 or more incidents).
CA 28
FL 23
TX 18
PA 18
OH 15
WA 13
CO 12
NV 11
NY 10
WI 9
MO 9
IL 8
VA 7
GA 7

Is Bill Clunton’s nose permanently stopped up or is that just his most intelligent look.

Silva December 5, 2018 at 3:08 PM

If you’re talking about his mouth hanging open on one side, I think it’s been a lifelong quirk or mannerism. I’ve noticed him looking that way often as President and in younger pictures and video.

Smith December 6, 2018 at 7:52 PM

Yep. That’s it. I think it’s generally called a “mouth-breather.” He’s had it as long as I can remember. Not a good look on him.

Dr. Jellyfinger December 5, 2018 at 3:12 PM

Well…. no Liberal flash mobs shouting down Republican speakers at the funeral today… I am surprised!

Randy December 5, 2018 at 3:52 PM

That’s because GHW Bush is respected and appreciated by all.

Atticus Thraxx December 5, 2018 at 5:53 PM

Me too Jelly. Thought the worse of them would kick up a fuss. Was glad to see Bob Dole kicking it too. I voted for him with Kemp. Even sent them $50 if I remember right. They lost. And I didn’t get my $50 back.

Dr. Jellyfinger December 5, 2018 at 9:22 PM

I’m also surprised we didn’t see Ross Perot sitting with the Clintons.

Rollo Tomasi December 5, 2018 at 3:41 PM

Here is the US, we investigate crimes in order to find the perpetrator. The Mueller investigation is investigating people in order to find a crime.

Elwood December 5, 2018 at 4:55 PM

Amen, Bro!

Justifiable anger December 5, 2018 at 6:22 PM

Mueller is also trying to coerce Lies for plea bargaining, so he can fill in his dot to dot plan to ruin Trump. I don’t know how this could work in a just system, but apparently Hillary and Obama excelled in it.

WC Resident December 6, 2018 at 6:44 PM

@Rollo Tomasi – The crime came first. Specifically it’s obstruction of justice by Donald Trump when he asked James Comey to drop the investigation into Trump’s former national security adviser, Michael Flynn. That started the investigation. Mueller was then hired to spearhead it.

This investigation has already resulted in several people getting charged with many of them pleading guilty. Mueller is carefully following and pulling the strings in the administration’s web of lies to get the noose around Trump ever tighter.

As for posting URLs, it is a courtesy to others so they may gain further information if they wish to. Granted some are included as humor . . . cHum

Too many liberals blindly believe and even PARROT propagandic drivel of the alphabet media. Being far more concerned about how many bars their hand held device has or what some bubble butt, dysfunctionals in Southern CA are fretting over on their TV show, than they do about the direction and future of their country.

Think of URLs as attempts to educate a few liberals. As for the rest of them,

Randy December 6, 2018 at 7:22 AM

I see trumps economic policies flourishing in the stock market today. Way to go republicans. The dems will have to bail out the country once again.

Rollo Tomasi December 6, 2018 at 9:02 AM

Randy, I couldn’t find anywhere that you gave Trump’s policies credit for the gains over last Friday-Monday. Will you be here doing that when the market rebounds from this dip?
Don’t worry, cupcake. I mocked people during Obama’s reign when they blamed him for market losses or credited him with market gains. You’re not the only one on Claycord ignorant enough to believe the US president has a lot of influence on the stock market.

Elwood December 6, 2018 at 1:28 PM

Originsal G December 6, 2018 at 5:33 PM

Well Randy had you bought 100 sharers of Boeing at $318 this morning then sold, about 2 1/2 hours later after a $14 or 4.4% move up, at $332 you’d have after tax about $900 net.

That’s what ya call, bringin’ home the BACON.

Rollo Tomasi December 7, 2018 at 11:57 AM

And an ignoramus with a computer is still an ignoramus.

Anonymous December 6, 2018 at 7:36 AM

“Mueller trying to coerce lies”
Really? Any proof of that besides a certain tweeter? Seems like I remember the Gottis attorney saying precisely the same thing.

Rollo Tomasi December 6, 2018 at 8:30 AM

Check the story on Jerome Corsi. He was asked a question about an email from 2 years prior. Later when he was able to check his email history, he realized he was mistaken, contacted the Mueller team about it, and was allowed to amend his testimony. Later, when he wouldn’t say what they wanted him to say in regards to Julian Assange, they threatened perjury charges based on his original testimony. You know, the one they had allowed him to amend. Does that seem like an appropriate tactic for the judiciary?

HappyPappy December 6, 2018 at 10:04 AM

On This day in 1865 Republicans abolished slavery in the United States –
Eight months after the end of the Civil War, the 13th amendment was ratified creating, among democrats, an everlasting hate for Republicans so vicious that it still exists today.
Until Trump was elected, Republicans generally took the high road and did their best to overlook the vitriol thrown at them by spiteful democrats.
But Trump is a counter-puncher.
His tactics, of course, frighten namby-pamby weak kneed Republicans and further incite the rabid democrats who can longer deny their evil intention to corrupt and even tear down our country to maintain their stranglehold on the economy and our everyday lives.

Anonymous December 6, 2018 at 10:52 AM

“ Appropriate tactic for the judiciary?”

Mueller is not the judiciary.

But anyone who wants to get their information from infowars, the Daily Kos or any other fringe site is certainly entitled to do so.

Here is a thing : Read a federal cooperation agreement. They all say the same thing- lie and the deal is off. Further the idea that Mueller , or anyone on his team would put themselves at risk by committing a felony,
(Subordinating perjury ) and jeopardize their case is right up there in the flat silly department .

Trump and associates constant braying about Mueller investigation – make you a little suspicious?

Rollo Tomasi December 6, 2018 at 5:23 PM

The special prosecutor operates as part of the executive branch, but with subpoenas, sworn testimony, perjury charges, guilty pleas, sentencing guidelines, etcetera the probe is very clearly a judicial process. But anyone who wants to believe it’s something else is entitled to do so.

mtzman December 6, 2018 at 8:38 PM

RT, your response is nonsensical. There is a difference between the judiciary and the judicial process.

Rollo Tomasi December 7, 2018 at 11:51 AM

“RT, your response is nonsensical. There is a difference between the judiciary and the judicial process”

You should let Meuller know.

Randy December 6, 2018 at 4:34 PM

We now need a taller wall. This is too funny.

Honduran woman, 19, in migrant caravan scales border wall to give birth in US after 2,000-mile trip

WC Resident December 7, 2018 at 11:48 AM

No, we need shorter Hondurans and so should cut aid to that country. Of course, that makes it easier for them to tunnel in. I’ve noticed that none of the proposed walls on that demo wall thing include below-ground barriers. The wall will get rebuilt with barriers and aid to Honduras gets cut more. Hondurans end up light enough to use drones and gliders to fly over or around the wall. Anti-drone defenses get added to the wall and aid is cut even more. Hondurans are now small enough that they are easily concealed in vehicles. The border is closed and our economy, which is dependent on Hondurans, collapses. The Mission Accomplished banner gets hung up on the gold plated wall.

Anonymous December 7, 2018 at 1:34 PM

I looks to me like Trump is becoming unhinged, which is sad. Tucker Carlson turned on him and Shepard Smith took some shots. That’s Fox News , his sole media supporter.

I don’t generally read trump tweets , but his fans should today , take a deep breath and ask a couple of questions.

1. Why the endless criticism of Mueller ? To what end?

2. Why the huge top level turnover? He calls Tillerson “, dumber then a rock. “ Tillerson ran Exxon , one of the biggest corporations in the world . Sessions was vilified and it looks like Kelly is out today. Why has Trump picked so many bad people?

3. The default position of the die hard Trump fan is that he is better then Hillary or Obama. I would suggest he is probably better then Harding or Polk. So what?

4. Seen your 401 k lately? If so you are braver then I am. The great financial wizard was going to get the market way up. How’s that working out?

Randy December 7, 2018 at 1:50 PM

He’s probably manipulating the market for family gains. He has no morals .

Fred P. December 7, 2018 at 4:41 PM

Randy claims trump has no morals…. never ears you whine about the Clintons and their “foundation.”
