The Three Brothers From China restaurant, located at 2001 Contra Costa Blvd. in Pleasant Hill, was shut down by the Contra Costa County Environmental Health Department this week.

The restaurant was inspected and closed after the department discovered a vermin infestation.

Inspectors say they observed two cockroaches in the facility. Inspectors say they came to the restaurant after a customer told the health department they found a cockroach in their food.

If this wasn’t so pathetic, it would actually be comical. Vermin to go – no tax?

And another “not going there” added to the list.

How many Chinese restaurants which do not have cockroaches do you think there are?

For that matter, how many restaurants of any kind?

Look up ubiquitous.

Ok, I just have to say this is disgusting. If you can find some place to eat that doesn’t have or had these creepy critters, let me know. They are everywhere. Maybe they should go check out grocery stores. Their bakery’s and delis are notorious for them. I know, I worked in one!!!

I hope they re open that place soon. Sure places can be dirty but they always get their act together and I know their location is near trees and such.

Yuck! When I lived in PH I would eat there. I thought it was clean and was cleaner than other restaurants in PH. I keep reafing about rats and rodents in CC county. Is it considered to be epidemic? Are there cases of typhus in our county?

I believe there’s only cases in Los Angeles. I just saw it on the news

I guess the inspectors found the other two brothers of the roach in the customer’s meal.

Dang! I’ve only heard good things about it for years but haven’t got around to trying it.

Jazmine is 100% correct , I do service calls at grocery stores and other eating establishments, if you saw what I see you’d have a different opinion about dining away from home. Trust me

So you’re saying there’s no cockroaches or rats or bugs or mold at your home. Because if you say yes, your wrong.

The food is very normal, service so-so. Ivan and his restaurant are dirty! Don’t need to eat anymore cockroaches than necessary! Shut them down!

Claymom October 10, 2018 - 6:33 AM - 6:33 AM

I ate there for the first time about 7 years ago! The food was delicious and everything looked clean. Unfortunately my niece and I were violently with food poisoning. It was awful! Never have I been so sick, I called them to let them know but unfortunately as soon as I said I had food poising and was put on an IV and was concerned they had a serious problem! Then the man on the phone said he didn’t speak English and that was that.
