Obama the ONLY President to never have GDP growth of three percent or greater while in office and that was over an EIGHT year period.

An for those who will say “But there was a recession”, that recession officially ended six months into Obama’s Presidency in June 2009.

When an administration is more concerned about their look good . . .
Good example of how inept leadership was when they resorted to intentional obfuscation of statistics by inventing the metric of jobs created “or saved”.

Elwood September 7, 2018 at 7:39 PM

You tell ’em OG!

Dr. Jellyfinger September 9, 2018 at 9:41 AM

Yeah…. that’s what’s happened… Bringing all those businesses back to America? lowering the tax rate didn’t have a thing to do with it.. easing regulations? No way… it had no effect at all.
A booming economy? Telling us that being broke is the “new normal” was Obama’s sly way of making us get busy just to prove him wrong!
(brilliant reverse psychology!).
Getting the ball rolling on denuclearizing Korea? …. Obama again!
Kim was just ascared that private citizen BHO would come to Korea & punch his lights out.

It’s all Obama!

Not a Trump Fan September 9, 2018 at 12:43 PM

OG, you need to check your facts. Obama had 4 (4.0, 4.6, 4.9 and 5.1) GDP growth quarters and at least 8 quarters at 3% or more. You need to stop believing our liar in chief and his mouth pieces (fox news). And the Great Recession was not over within six months. Just ask all those people who were under water on their mortgages and lost their houses to foreclosure.

Original G September 9, 2018 at 2:28 PM

Not a Trump Fan … Should have included term yearly growth.
While Obama did have quarters above 3 percent none of his eight years in office was GDP above 3 percent.

Hudson Institute listed Obama’s annual real GDP growth at 1.5 percent.
https://www.hudson.org/research/12714-economic-growth-by-president?ref=patrick.net
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2017/12/president-trumps-2017-gdp-poised-beat-obamas-best-gdp-ever-8-years-billionaire-trumps-community-organizer-every-time/

will this post make it past moderator ? ? ? ? ?

Not a Trump Fan September 9, 2018 at 8:55 PM

OG, your original post didn’t indicate yearly. In addition, 45 hasn’t either. 2.3% in 2017 and 1Q was 2.2. One good quarter does not make a trend. And 45’s boasting of new jobs as “better than it’s ever been” is just another fabrication. Obama’s last 4 years were 2,301,000 3,005,000 2,712,000 and 2,344,000 while 45’s first year was 2,188,000 and is on pace for 2,400,000 which in no way is the best ever.

JWB September 9, 2018 at 10:26 PM

HappyPappy September 7, 2018 at 8:30 PM

Showing us again they don’t have a viable candidate who can take the lead, and breaking from protocol, the democrats called in the brown-baby-traitor. He tried using the overplayed race card, and the same divisive rhetoric he used for eight years. Basically he blathered on about the same old superfluous crap that helped elect Trump.
Maybe we should thank him.

Elwood September 7, 2018 at 11:11 PM

Aw, HP, the dimmiecrats have lots of good candidates.

Why, there’s Huey, Dewey, and Louie, Larry Curly and Moe and Abbot and Costello just to name a few.

Randy September 7, 2018 at 8:37 PM

The man is losing what marbles he has

Trump said ” it is a ‘matter of national security.”

How is it a matter of national security to find out who wrote that op-ed?”

His insecurity is a matter of national security…

#25th the 45th

Ricardoh September 8, 2018 at 8:00 AM

The answer to your question is very obvious. The person claims to work in the WH. He or she may be privy to sensitive material. He or she now has a reputation for going to the press. What else do you need? Not that hard to figure after all.

Rollo Tomasi September 9, 2018 at 11:53 AM

It really is rocket science to someone like Randy.

Lena September 10, 2018 at 7:18 AM

Simple, Randy, this person may also be interfering on matters of national security, removing papers from Trump’s perview related to national security, resisting decisions made on national security, and just generally sabotaging the work of Trump and his national security advisors. This is bad news all around. Do we really want someone undermining the government doing so at top levels, privy to the most sensitive and top secret decisions made by elected and appointed government leaders? We should all be disturbed by this individual’s admission that someone, we don’t know who, is making important decisions for us without our permission or review by those apointed to do so. This is third-world coup d’etat type stuff.

Hope Johnson September 10, 2018 at 8:29 AM

I agree with Lena’s post on this. A republic government is not supposed to be undermined by some administrative staff person beyond the reach of the voters. It is not enough to assume this person knows what the best interest of the country is, and that this person knows the best alternative to what he or she believes is “right.” This is the wrong approach no matter who is POTUS. To anyone who thinks otherwise, be prepared to have your choice for POTUS be undermined in the same way if this time this behavior is condoned for any reason.

Miggy September 7, 2018 at 10:19 PM

Watching all the craziness of this administration is going to make for some stories down the line. Anonymous ‘resistance’ in the white house, convictions and jail sentences, on going investigations, twitter flip outs and vulgarity, and all sorts of madness. Mix that in with trade tariffs, being bamboozled by NK, and mass boycotts and American businesses going overseas and you certainly have a memorable presidency at least.

Law Dog September 7, 2018 at 10:36 PM

I don’t watch the NFL or the NBA any more, they have become to political.

Lena September 8, 2018 at 7:26 AM

Melania Trump’s immigration status was extensively investigated when Trump declared his candidacy for President, and she was determined to be a legal citizen of the United States. After going through the long and arduous process, she became a U.S. citizen in 2006 and has spoken publicly about it as noted on Politico, “I followed the law. I never thought to stay here without papers. I had a visa, I traveled every few months back to the country to Slovenia to stamp the visa.” Trump’s first wife, Ivanka, also became a U.S. citizen eleven years after their marriage.

JWB September 8, 2018 at 2:15 PM

Lena

you link says: That Melania came to the US in 1996 on a visitor visa and later that year obtained her first H-1B working visa. This is consistant with this report saying that according to documentation obtained by the AP Melania earned over $20K in 1996 prior to obtaining a working visa. Which documents that she was working illegally on a visitor visa in 1996.

https://apnews.com/37dc7aef0ce44077930b7436be7bfd0d

Lena September 8, 2018 at 3:04 PM

The point of my comment is that Melania Trump is a legal U.S. citizen AT THIS TIME to refute the suggestion earlier by those ill informed that she isn’t. Liberals perpetuating fake news.

Silva September 8, 2018 at 4:11 PM

Well okay, if her lawyer said so.

Lena September 8, 2018 at 4:19 PM

@JWB Oh, I see what you mean. You think it’s ok for some people … like say, for example, illegal aliens seeking “asylum,” but not for others … like say, for example, Melania Trump.

JWB September 8, 2018 at 5:34 PM

@ Lena

I’m not sure it is correct to call asylum seeker illegal aliens. But besides this point you probably are best suited to answer your own question. Do you think it is okay for Melania but not okay for others?

If your answer to this question is “yes” I can see where you’re coming from. If it is no then your postings make no sense.

Lena September 8, 2018 at 7:43 PM

Melania Trump was not seeking asylum. “Illegal aliens” is the correct terminology. Also referred to as illegal migrants, illegal immigrants, etc. I wasn’t asking a question, I was observing the way liberals treat the issues to suit their narrative.

Rollo Tomasi September 8, 2018 at 8:56 PM

@Silva:

“Well okay, if her lawyer said so.”

The article you linked referred to “an attorney”, not “her attorney”. So unless you have evidence supported by documentation to the contrary, then, yes.

Silva September 8, 2018 at 10:40 PM

Rolo Tomasi. My response was to Lena’s first link. I hadn’t read or seen her second link.

Silva September 9, 2018 at 7:11 AM

Rollo Tomasi; my mistake. I guess it’s JWB’s link I haven’t read. My link refutes what an attorney of Mel’s said. Do you have evidence supported by documentation to add?

Rollo Tomasi September 9, 2018 at 12:13 PM

Silva, read the article YOU linked again. It starts with an editor’s note that states “AFTER (sic) this article’s publication, Melania Trump published a letter from an attorney who says that he reviewed her immigration history and that she entered the country for the first time in 1996 and complied with all visa laws”
The letter from AN attorney refutes what the Politico article claims, NOT vice versa. Did you read the entire Politico article? It is chock full of assumptions and suppositions, none of which are supported.

Silva September 9, 2018 at 12:53 PM

Rollo Tomasi, you are solitting hairs.

Silva September 9, 2018 at 1:07 PM

*splitting*

Lena September 10, 2018 at 2:02 AM

The matter of Melania Trumps immigration is well documented.

Melania Trump on Wikipedia is said to be a US citizen, becoming one in 2006.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melania_Trump

Here is another article stateing she is a citizen.

https://www.quora.com/When-did-Melania-Trump-get-her-US-Citizenship

And, Melania Trump has denied allegations she ever broke any immigration rules.

https://newrepublic.com/minutes/135814/melania-trump-undocumented-immigrant-worked-illegally-us

JWB September 10, 2018 at 9:15 AM

@ Lena

Nobody disputes that by now Melania is a naturalized citizen, thus your first two links are irrlevant. The open question is that there is documentation that she received payment for work in the US prior to her working visa while she was here on a vistor visa, which would be illegal.

Now your third link says that she denies that she ever broke immigration rules and I guess we will find out as soon as she will hold her press conference to address any of these questions as was announced

http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-races/290935-trump-on-wifes-immigration-story-she-came-in-totally

I assume this press conference will happen right afeter Donald finally reveals to us the shocking evidence his private investiagators found about Obama’s birth certificate in Hawaii, but don’t hold your breath.

Rollo Tomasi September 10, 2018 at 9:24 AM

Silva, splitting hairs? OK, let’s stipulate that the attorney who authored the letter does indeed represent the First Lady. You are still factually incorrect in writing “My link refutes what an attorney of Mel’s said.” The letter from the attorney refutes what the Politico article claimed, since it was published AFTER the Politio article, not vice versa. You are chronologically challenged here.

Change September 8, 2018 at 8:14 AM

Another sad week for the circus administration. Dump trump!

Lena September 8, 2018 at 3:09 PM

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Ricardoh September 8, 2018 at 9:09 AM

If you listened to Obama’s boring speech yesterday you heard a one hour speech spread out for two hours. He has a pregnant pause between each sentence which he must thing is great but is very annoying. When his teleprompter screwed up he stood there and stuttered. Aside from that everything he accused the president of Obama is guilty of.
He accused Trump of trying to cozy up to the Russians yet he ridiculed Romney when Romney said Russia were a threat. We then heard him in what was supposed to be a dead mic tell the Russians he will be able to do more with Russia after he was elected.
He accused Trump voters of being racists and we can all pretty much figure out that he was the worst president for racism in the history of recent presidents. For many years Obama went to a church whose leader not only hated our country but was the biggest racist in Chicago.
Obama was the one in charge of the country when the Russians tried to steer our election. If the Russians got through it was because he and his administration were trying to stop Trump and they were asleep at the switch.
You have to listen to the speech yourself and then think whenever he accuses Trump of dong something wrong and say hey that’s what Obama did. It is absolutely amazing.

Captain Bebops September 8, 2018 at 9:27 AM

The bail-out in 2008 was an attack on the middle class. Better to have let the big banks fail. That would have only hurt the rich and not the middle class. We might be living in a more sensible world now if that had happened than one with a growing disparity between the 1% and the rest of the population.

Ricardoh September 8, 2018 at 9:29 AM

Randy September 8, 2018 at 3:59 PM

Why would you do that. Unless you’re into self flagalation.

Lena September 8, 2018 at 7:31 PM

He was at it again today. Since Obama was a large part of what got Trump elected, I say let him run his mouth. It starts a full on roundup eventually driving people to register Republican. Democrats are so hard up for some leadership they’ve turned to what has been roundly described as the worst President in U.S. history. It’s comical, actually.

Fred P. September 12, 2018 at 7:50 AM

@lena – c’mon….

By many accounts, Obama was rated as the #2 best president.

There was also a 44-way tie for first place.

Justifiable anger September 12, 2018 at 9:25 AM

I’d like to thank Obama for surfacing in time to remind the voters what we love about 45.

Obama is a race baiter. His association with race baiters continue to this day. Can we start using the Joker cartoon depiction of him yet? Talk about a double standard. He was in So.Africa lending his reputation…and to think I thought there could be a possibility he would accomplish something during his 8 years.

Trump is doin an amazing job as President. And, Cox, running for Governor of California, supports Trump’s policies and positions unlike Brown and the sorry cadre of liberals who have driven the state to destruction. With Cox as Governor, I think we would see more cooperation with Trump to arrest and deport criminal illegal aliens and MS-13, elimination of the “sanctuary state” designation, business friendly practices and tax incentives, reversal of many of Brown’s policies, dumping the crazy train, perhaps the Delta tunnel, as well as return to sanity.

Marital fidelity has never been a prerequisite to be elected.

BTW – I can’t find any info on how the candidates stand on the proposed $17 Billion project that will destroy Frank’s Tract to supposedly save the Delta Smelt …. (and magically keep the water fresh enough to pump it all down to southern California).

Anybody?

Silva September 9, 2018 at 10:34 AM

Nature Lover, It’s a very typical disconnect exhibited by fervent Trump groupies, but incomprehensible to rational people.

Lena September 9, 2018 at 12:06 PM

@Nature Lover Trump at least had the decency to do his cheating (if, in fact, he even did what these women accuse him of) before he took office, on the public dime, and not with his best friends wife who then was given leave with pay (also on the public dime) that other employees were not granted, a payoff by taxpayers. Newsom admitted wrongdoing. Trump has not said any of it is true, and as far as we know it isn’t, just accusations by women in the sex industry and we know how the sex industry is steeped in integrity.

Lena September 9, 2018 at 8:29 PM

When were a group of people advocating socialism, a philosophy that historically has never worked, a sexual philosophy that has been credited with the destruction of the Greco-Roman Empire, and cutting off ones genitals to achieve happiness ever been considered “rational people?”

Nature Lover September 10, 2018 at 10:59 AM

@Silva: Lena’s half-baked response certainly proves your point.

Lena September 10, 2018 at 11:15 PM

@Nature Lover Oh, no, that one was fully baked. Checked it myself.

Fred P. September 11, 2018 at 6:57 AM

contrary to 45’s tweet Ford will not be brings jobs back from China. Quote ” That makes no sense.”

In one of the many lawsuits brought by women trump has slept with while married, he has agreed to provide written statements to question under oath. This opens the door for perjury. Because we all know he will lie.

Lena September 9, 2018 at 8:31 PM

It’s called “nothing to hide,” Randy, but I would expect that to be unfamiliar to liberals.

Rollo Tomasi September 11, 2018 at 11:05 AM

Original G September 9, 2018 at 8:22 PM

June 2018 saw a record low in Hispanic unemployment numbers beating a 2006 previous lowest unemployment record. Overall June saw 213,000 jobs added in USA. Month before saw Black unemployment fall to it’s lowest level since 1972.

Just be thankful this isn’t Canada where August unemployment rate increased to 6 percent. While USA unemployment sits 3.9 percent.

Dr. Jellyfinger September 10, 2018 at 7:59 AM

Obama said……

“When somebody says like the person you just mentioned who I’m not going to advertise for, that he’s going to bring all these jobs back. Well how exectly are you going to do that? What are you going to do? There’s uh no answer to it. He just says. “I’m going to negotiate a better deal.” Well how? How exactly are you going to negotiate that? What magic wand do you have? And usually the answer is, he doesn’t have an answer.

There are times when I thought that the economy would have gotten better by now,” he said. “You know, one of the things I think you understand as president is you’re held responsible for everything, but you don’t always have control of everything, right?”

and now….

Mr. Obama congratulated himself Tuesday for strong employment numbers in the U.S. this year, saying his climate-change policies have contributed to growth.

“As we took these actions, we saw the U.S. economy grow consistently,” Mr. Obama said. “We saw the longest streak of job creation in American history by far, a streak that still continues by the way.”

He added wryly, “Thanks, Obama.”

I guess the democrats are unhappy with the increase in jobs and GDP.

The only way you can make a liberal happy is to make them unhappy.

mtzman September 11, 2018 at 8:28 AM

It’s not that liberals are unhappy with a strong economy, it’s the dishonesty that goes along with it by insisting that it’s all Trump.

His latest claim, for example, that it’s the first time in 100 years that quarterly GDP has exceeded unemployment is just flat out false. It’s happened 62 times, or the false claim we saw trotted out here once again this week that Obama is the only president never to see 3 percent GDP growth. Aside from the fact that GDP was not even used as a measuring tool until the 1930s, thereby excluding most presidents, Obama achieved it several times.

So, quit the lies and falsehoods and maybe the liberals might start taking Trump and his minions more seriously.

HappyPappy September 11, 2018 at 9:20 AM

mtzman –
Trumps reference ” the first time in 100 years that quarterly GDP has exceeded unemployment” was incorrect, as you and all the other left-wing media lunatics wrote in lockstep. He should have entered “10 years”, in his phone, instead. Why is it that none of you had the sense or the honesty to recognize a typo?
That’s a rhetorical question, everyone understands your reasons.

Why am I getting blamed for it?

Dr. Jellyfinger September 10, 2018 at 10:23 PM

FBI betrayed America…..

“I want to talk to you about media leak strategy with DOJ before you go,” Strzok texted Page on April 10, 2017

Senior level FBI officials tried to stage a coup. I wonder who will go to jail?

Dr. Jellyfinger September 11, 2018 at 8:44 PM

An investigation…. based on lies…. in search of proof of an occurrence that never happened (and would not be illegal even if it had happened! ).

Being doggedly pursued by 17 Politically Biased FBI Agents at a cost of million$ of dollar$ to American Taxpayers…. (minus the pay for the 25 FBI & DOJ agents that have been fired awaiting prosecution for their roles in the fabrication of the story & trying to lie their way out of it).

I think that pretty much sums it up.

Given anti conservative rhetoric not surprised.

“A man was arrested after allegedly attempting to stab a Republican congressional candidate with a switchblade over the weekend at in Castro Valley, according to the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office.”

“A shooter opened fire at a GOP baseball practice.”

“Members of Congress commit to civility after Alexandria shooting”
https://www.cnn.com/2017/06/21/politics/lawmakers-commitment-civility/
And how long did that last ? ? ?

“Americans should confront Trump cabinet members every time they step out in public, says congresswoman Maxine Waters”

Impressionable low information voters . . . .

Another unstable low information voter ? ? ?

“The threat was made ahead of the planned Tuesday evening event by an anonymous Twitter account that supports the Democratic Socialists, a far-left political group. ”

See the article for very specific threat that was made.

“From raging wildfires tearing across California to sudden blazes that were quickly extinguished, arson is suspected in several high-profile and less-publicized fires this year.

California’s law enforcement agencies have reported a 20 percent increase in the number of arson cases in the past five years. And of the 20 most destructive wildfires in California history, at least three were set by arsonists.”

Wonder how many arsonists have been released from CA State Prisons as result of soft on crime liberals reducing CA Prison population ? ?

Logan Act, “…a United States federal law that criminalizes negotiation by unauthorized persons with foreign governments having a dispute with the United States. The intent behind the Act is to prevent unauthorized negotiations from undermining the government’s position.”

John Kerry Former Secretary of State,
“Kerry, in an interview with radio host Hugh Hewitt to promote his new book, said that he has met with Iranian Former Minister Javad Zarif—the former secretary’s onetime negotiating partner—three or four times in recent months behind the Trump administration’s back.

“I think I’ve seen him three or four times,” Kerry said, adding that he has been conducting sensitive diplomacy without the current administration’s authorization.”

Move along, nothing to see here, just another liberal . . . .

“A longtime College of Southern Nevada sociology professor …”
“Las Vegas professor shot himself in arm to protest Trump”
https://www.reviewjournal.com/crime/shootings/report-las-vegas-professor-shot-himself-in-arm-to-protest-trump/

Dr. Jellyfinger September 12, 2018 at 10:37 PM

The arm? That dosen’t count!
He should’ve put the barrel in his ear and squeezed the trigger…. chances are he’d miss the brain.

Dr. Jellyfinger September 13, 2018 at 11:06 PM

What about self immolation?
There’s a real protest! Try that and I’ll start taking the protest seriously…. I’ll be the first one to stand & say “Wow! that guy was really pissed off at Trump… Golly!

Lena September 14, 2018 at 1:01 AM

If he’d hit the brain, I doubt it would have hampered his functioning in respect since brains are pretty much a useless organ in liberals.

Fred P. September 13, 2018 at 7:35 AM

Sounds like the liberals are against teaching about civics in school.

They want to give equal time to other cars and not concentrate on Hondas.

I saw it on the internet so it MUST be true!!!!!

/sarcasm off/

HappyPappy September 13, 2018 at 3:46 PM

The shameful disgusting behavior of the ignorant spiteful democrats during the Judge Kavanaugh fiasco has pretty much guaranteed Republican victories in the midterm elections. They made it clear which party is working to damage America.

Elwood September 13, 2018 at 10:29 PM

Preach, Pappy, Preach

amieollie September 14, 2018 at 11:23 AM

Preaching to the choir. Ho hum. Those who know better aren’t sitting in THAT worshipful house. You do need to stop running around with your hands clapped over your ears.
