When Michael Cohen told Donald Trump he “wouldn’t” record their conversations, he really meant he “would”.

Ricardoh July 21, 2018 at 8:41 AM

Not bad sick humor where did you hear that?

amieollie July 20, 2018 at 7:51 PM

Spot on….just as I expected. Tick tock…tick tock…tick tock …

Nature Lover July 20, 2018 at 8:56 PM

London’s Daily Mirror moniker “Putin’s Poodle” ranks a close second for
describing Traitor Don.

Local July 20, 2018 at 9:08 PM

Google the word “Treason” and Trump is the first page of images.

Badge1104 July 20, 2018 at 9:11 PM

How could the Russians possibly have meddled in the election, when Pres. Obama said, in 2016, it could not happen, and ‘no reasonable person would believe in such’ ?
*go redwave 2018
*go Trump 2020

Ricardoh July 21, 2018 at 8:51 AM

Badge 104 The left ignores facts to suit their lies. They don’t believe Obama told the Russians president he would have more flexibility with Russia once he is elected into an open mic he thought was off. They think killing Kadaffi and allowing Europe to be run over by millions of aliens was a good thing. They think nothing of Obama giving Iran 150 billion dollars. They say well it was Iran’s money. On top of that he gave Iran the right to deal with American banks. Obama was a tragedy but they and the press ignores the facts.

AlwaysBePositive July 21, 2018 at 10:47 AM

r…Facts? Great, please give me the facts behind your claim that President Obama gave Iran $150 billion dollars.

Ricardoh July 21, 2018 at 11:20 AM

AlwaysBePositive You can’t be serious. I hope you don’t vote.

AlwaysBePositive July 21, 2018 at 11:45 AM

r…So, no facts to back you up? ’nuff said.

And, if you didn’t like the worst President in U.S. history, Always Be Positive considers you a racist — not because he was the worst President in U.S. history, but because the worst President in U.S. history was bkack.

Lena July 21, 2018 at 12:07 PM

Always Be Positive believes it is his mission in life to stick up for what has roundly been determined to be the worst President in U.S. history. AlwaysBePositive July 24, 2018 at 9:16 AM

l…Worst President in American history? President Obama helped to lead America out of a worldwide economic near-collapse (driven by the policies of Republican President Bush the younger) to six years of economic growth that lead the current administrations claim that they alone are responsible for this growth.

Badge1104 July 20, 2018 at 9:19 PM

How is it that traitor Obama told the Russian foreign minister, back in 2012, whispering to him, not knowing that their mics were on, that ‘ I’ll be able to work with Putin after the election’!!!

Silva July 21, 2018 at 6:35 AM

Why is that the only thing Trumpers ever use for “whataboutism” fodder? Because it’s all they’ve got. To bad there’s no “there” there. BTW, If you’re going to attribute a quote to someone, it’s best to use their actual words. Here’s what he said as he was overheard asking for time to address Putin’s concern over missile defense in Europe, until he was in a better position politically to resolve such issues;

“On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this, this can be solved but it’s important for him (Putin) to give me space.”

Mr Medvedev replies: “Yeah, I understand. I understand your message about space. Space for you …”

Mr Obama retorts: “This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility.”

Russia had been strongly critical of plans for US-led NATO missile defense in Europe. Russian officials believed the planned missile shield would target Russia’s nuclear deterrent and undermine global stability, while the US insisted the planned missile shield was intended to counter threats from Iran.

It seems that there is no Russian dirt Trumpers can throw at Obama besides this, but within the context of the conversation there is no problem, but Trumpers and bots everywhere use it ad nauseam to deflect from their leader’s treason.

Silva July 21, 2018 at 8:30 AM

I mean, everyone knows it works like that. It isn’t a secret.

Lena July 21, 2018 at 12:17 PM

Yeah. We know the incident Badge 104 is referring to … one of many Obama blunders. Liberals need to be reminded because conservatives are wiping out Obama’s “legacy” one blunder at a time. He will be erased from history like the Civil War statuary in Southern parks. Overlooking his blunders is part of the widely contagious Liberal Derangement Syndrome sweeping factions of the Democratic Party as it slips into oblivion along with other remnants of the faltering Age of Confusion brought upon the nation by liberal “political correction.”

Change July 20, 2018 at 9:31 PM

Classic Local! I love it!

Change July 20, 2018 at 9:38 PM

Poor trump team had another bad week.
Are the trump supporters still really believing his rhetoric? Everyone can see he is full of lies and is in this for himself….it is okay to change……

Roz July 21, 2018 at 4:17 AM

Well, Obama and Hillary were and are, still full of lies and in it for them selves, but some folk don’t seem to care about that. No body is perfect, but it’s time to move forward and see how much better it’ll get in the next 6 years.

Ricardoh July 21, 2018 at 8:39 AM

Change perhaps you would like to tell us what President Trump is doing for himself. The man is working as hard as any president has done and it is all to make the US and the world a better place. Keep listening to the lefts babbling idiots and you will never know the truth.

AlwaysBePositive July 21, 2018 at 10:52 AM

ro…Please give me an example of how you feel America is in a better place today than it was 2 years ago.
ri…Working hard? You are too funny. Look up what time djt starts work each day, and how much time he has spent golfing and at his resort properties compared to any other president.

Fred P. July 21, 2018 at 11:11 AM

So does abp have trump’s detailed schedule – every minute of every day? And without that, he can make the claim that trump doesn’t work hard?

Guess someone’s definition of “hard work” is doing anything but playing video games.

In a better spot? How about the stock market?

Get outta your momma’s basement, cupcake….or do you stay in your “safe space” day and night?

AlwaysBePositive July 21, 2018 at 11:52 AM

fp…Come on, you’re going to have to work harder than that. The stock market is up, but it is not up because of djt. It continues an upward trend that is approaching a ten-year run. Your arguments are so juvenile I feel I can only respond in kind. Do you have djt’s schedule? How can you claim he is working hard if you don’t. So…”Get outta your momma’s basement, cupcake….or do you stay in your “safe space” day and night?”

Roz July 21, 2018 at 5:15 PM

@ AlwaysBePositive ~
I didn’t say it was better, but see how much better. It’s just time to move forward. If everyone would take the time to listen/read news reports from both side and gather the information that is there, they may be not so hard core about bashing the old and new. With any big project someone takes on it takes time. As the saying goes, “How do You Eat an Elephant,…One Bite at a Time”. I didn’t like some of the stuff Obama did, but he was our President,…he couldn’t please everyone. What’s so hard about giving Thump some credit.
Remember,….Always Be Positive

Lena July 21, 2018 at 5:36 PM

Trump’s job approval rating holds at a solid 44% these days. Hardly what I’d consider devisive

Rollo Tomasi July 23, 2018 at 7:51 AM

“Note to the impaired: Obama and Hillary are not in office. The buck stops with Trump now.”

Wow. This after eight years of “it’s Bush’s fault”. You reap what you sow, skippy.

mtzman July 23, 2018 at 8:48 AM

I suspect RT fails to see the irony in that comment …

Rollo Tomasi July 23, 2018 at 11:25 AM

The only irony is that liberals can’t see that conservatives are doing exactly what they did for 8 years in regards to the previous administration, justified or not. Or is that too nuanced for you?

Lena July 23, 2018 at 2:15 PM

Guess Stormy Daniels “retirement plan” (otherwise known as extorting the President) isn’t working out well since it appears she has taken her broken down act back on the road.

AlwaysBePositive July 24, 2018 at 9:23 AM

r…What exactly do you think djt deserves some credit for? Helping an old person across the street doesn’t really mean anything if you just burned down their house.

Rollo Tomasi July 20, 2018 at 9:38 PM

Always Right July 20, 2018 at 9:57 PM

A big witch hunt as far as I can tell.

Prez Trump is not a typical politician, and when he tweets or makes his boorish comments I think about people I have known who do similar things, and are actually very good at what they do.

In 30 years, no one will remember his crazy-uncle comments, but they will remember the legacy of his policies, including his outstanding judicial appointments, his well targeted (if not well timed) tax cuts, and his willingness to stand up to the scare tactics and absurd regulations of the climate change zealots.

Lena July 22, 2018 at 6:26 PM

Trump’s judicial appointments were born out of the conservative judicial movement and promise a return to the conservative rule of law which governs this nation.

Fred P. July 23, 2018 at 3:30 PM

And aspirin’s predictions continue to miss the mark.

So how was that stock market “crash” you predicted if Trump were to be elected? Look at the DJIA uptick starting in November 2016, and it’s steadily climbed.

Aspirin – you know nothing. And you continue to demonstrate that. He/she must think that it’s “opposite day.”

Fred P. July 25, 2018 at 8:48 AM

aspirin – you’re sorely mistaken if you think I’m gonna go dig back 18-20 months ago for a BS statement you made. If you’re unable to remember that far back, then you ought to consider upping your meds.

There are more than a few of us that can recall the statements you made – so don’t try to back out of what you’ve said.

Given the statements/claims you’ve made (including not differentiating between sarcasm, fact and opinion), I’m not surprised you’re asking the question – and frankly, I’ve got better things to do than tell you what you said.

Don’t like that? Tough $hit.

Rollo Tomasi July 26, 2018 at 11:55 AM

Modern liberals don’t have even a tangential understanding of classic liberalism.

Dr Jellyfinger July 20, 2018 at 10:20 PM

Too funny! Child born in a Chick-fil -A and wrapped in a MAGA t-shirt….
I suppose it’s only a matter of time before Weird Al does a parody song using Cheech Marin’s “Born in East L.A.” and calls it “Born in Chick-fil-A”

Dr. Jellyfinger July 21, 2018 at 11:42 AM

Oh boo hoo!

Who cares?
Rolando Antonio Bueso Castillo wasn’t forced to try to enter the USA illegally for the 4th time!
He did something stupid & illegal over and over and it’s OUR fault?
Cry me a river…. the Rio Grande comes to mind.

Rollo Tomasi July 24, 2018 at 7:59 AM

I have yet to see a liberal assign one iota of blame for the separation of kids to the parents of those kids, who consciously choose to violate our immigration laws with their kids in tow.

Change July 20, 2018 at 10:46 PM

The only trump legacy will be his current state. He is exposed, ruined. From here on out it will only get worse for him. He needs to go quickly so we can start rebuilding this country.

Lena July 21, 2018 at 12:40 PM

Oh. Hi Aspirin. Undergo one of those liberal “changes?” Did it hurt? Just so we understand, I am here for one reason and one reason only — to refute the unmitigated baloney posted by liberals on this thread. And today, in that regard, President Donald Trump is stronger than the day he took office, making appointments and setting policies that will move this country to its proper place in world politics, world history, and to new levels of greatness in the nations history.

Rollo Tomasi July 26, 2018 at 11:59 AM

Sooo…you don’t want laws enforced that you don’t like. Got it. How about laws I don’t like? Who do I see about suspending enforcement of those?

Bob July 21, 2018 at 1:49 AM

Anyone care to explain how illegals voting does not constitute election meddling?

Nature Lover July 21, 2018 at 8:23 AM

Care to post your proof for that assertion?

Fred P. July 21, 2018 at 8:47 AM

Because that’s how the liberals choose to define it.

Therefore, it doesn’t constitute meddling.

Ricardoh July 21, 2018 at 8:58 AM

The left only cares about one thing and that is to bring the country down. They dumbed down the education system and then indoctrinated students of all ages with their politically correct socialist speech.

AlwaysBePositive July 21, 2018 at 11:01 AM

b…Noncitizens are not allowed to vote in federal elections and most state elections. Depending on local election rules (controlled by the state) noncitizens are allowed to vote in some state and local elections.

Lena July 21, 2018 at 1:08 PM

Exactly. If Russians influence voting its a federal case, but if illegals from everywhere else do in San Francisco its liberal “kumbaya.” How do illegals aliens have any rights under our Constitution when they are not yet citizens so protected? Further, they have broken the law simply by not immigrating legally. What happened to Three Strikes in California? Particularly with regard to those deported multiple times? Not only should they be detained, locked up, and deported, but certainly they should not be given citizens privileges, driving, voting, etc. Those are privileges reserved for citizens and immigrants who become citizens legally, in a rigorous, prescribed manner. What third-world model of government policy regarding illegal immigration has the states Democrats and liberal-minded lawmakers imposed on a once fully functional society which has brought us to the irreversible chaos we are seeing grow worse everyday in the cities of what once was considered the Golden State?

Nunya July 21, 2018 at 4:21 PM
Chicken Little July 21, 2018 at 5:10 PM

ABP, they’re not allowed to vote in state or federal elections YET. Wait until Newsom is governor. They’ll be voting in state elections. And the next Democrat-controlled administration will take care of the rest.

Lena July 21, 2018 at 5:31 PM

“It’s nice that it gives people a voice in a community, but if they try to vote in a federal election they can be deported,” Siskind said. “There needs to be some education happening to make sure they understand the difference.”

So, that’s the problem, a lack of education. Perhaps they should be met on the Mexico side of the border and “educated” to the fact that there is a legal way to enter the country and just crossing the border isn’t it. It would also be “nice” if they didn’t start out right away, first off breaking the law, never mind voting. We don’t just arbitrarily decide for ourselves which laws we will obey and which ones we won’t.

AlwaysBePositive July 24, 2018 at 9:38 AM

l…You have a basic misunderstanding of Constitutional rights in America. There are Constitutional rights that citizen’s of the United States have, and then there are another set of Constitutional rights for persons. Since it is the 150th anniversary of the 14th Amendment, I suggest everyone read it, and think about how that Constitutional Amendment makes the djt immigration policies un-American

Rollo Tomasi July 24, 2018 at 11:29 AM

Talk about misunderstanding. Trump’s immigration policy is enforcement of immigration law enacted by congress.

HappyPappy July 24, 2018 at 1:05 PM

‘nother day, ‘nother opportunity for ABP to demonstrate that knowledge and wisdom are not the same.

AlwaysBePositive July 25, 2018 at 10:13 AM

rt…Incorrect. djt’s immigration policies are current DOJ prosecutorial discretion decisions.
hp…What is it with the conservative ideology that equates knowledge with a negative? Life-long learning (that would be an alliteration if you’re interested) is one thing everybody can do. The wisdom comes from the government that created and ratified the amendment, not me.

Badge1104 July 21, 2018 at 7:05 AM

I do excuse you liberals for you apoplectic behavior, as we all know you’re hurting and desperate. America’s finally seeing thru you.

Robert Mueller and his team are the ones with x-ray vision. they see tax returns, emails, documents, recordings, encrypted communications, cryptocurrency transactions, photographs, passports, visas, offshore accounts, plus all notes and memos – shredded & otherwise.

Ricardoh July 21, 2018 at 8:34 AM

The Obama and Hillary administration had so many major screw ups and the press ignored all of them. It does no good to list them because the left and the press shrug them off no matter how major they were.

President Trump is doing an amazing job but the vicious lying left is tearing apart the country with their hatred.

Fred P. July 21, 2018 at 8:51 AM

Looks like the liberals are still spinning themselves into a frenzy over Trump. Guess he must be doing something right.

Go ahead, losers… keep crying and pretending you’re experts in everything. Until you have facts and something substantive to say, we’ll just figure you’re displaying your loser attitude by venting behind your keyboard in momma’s basement.

AlwaysBePositive July 21, 2018 at 10:57 AM

s…Nice catch. The likelihood of og ever admitting he was incorrect is small, but we know it. Thanks.

Fake news is a complete lie. First, if it is fake, it is not news, and second, if it is news, it is not fake. Wouldn’t you think that some of the fake news that djt complains about would be favorable to him? To djt, fake news is just something that doesn’t support his idea of himself.

AlwaysBePositive July 21, 2018 at 11:07 AM

djt is a dolt. Complaining about rising interest rates shortly after he dumped another $1.5 trillion dollars onto our national debt fails introductory economics.

There is a reason that American Presidents have refrained from commenting on Fed or Wall Street events. Do you really believe that djt’s businesses and his friends are not profiting from the impact of Presidential statements on financial markets?

Fred P. July 21, 2018 at 11:23 AM

And you can do better? Why not volunteer your “vaunted expertise in” correcting things?

Or is your expertise just limited to whining, insults and spouting opinions?

That was a rhetorical question for you, btw…

Randy July 21, 2018 at 1:14 PM

Calling him a dolt is too kind.

Stupidest “president” ever. Dumpty needs to go back to hosting a reality show, I’m sure his base would watch.

Chicken Little July 21, 2018 at 3:01 PM

Randy, maybe you can run for President in 2020 and steal that title from him?

Fred P. July 22, 2018 at 12:03 PM

And “randy” can do better?

Nah – he’s just another wannabe hiding in momma’s basement.

If we ready, he’d be doing something instead of just blubbering and insulting others.

The ghost in the machine is messing with my comments.

To all July 21, 2018 at 1:29 PM

I posted this on last weeks board and surprise, no return answers

Obama knew about Russian intelligence interfering before the 2016 election and both he and the intelligence agencies did nothing to stop it or inform the American public.
Obama told the Russian president that things would get more flexible after the 2012 election.
The Democratic Party did nothing about it except go after the constitutional election of President Trump with Hillary paid for “dossier “.
And you all call President Trump a traitor.

Amy July 21, 2018 at 3:15 PM

I am one of those Deplorables who voted for Trump and I agree with your comments and so many others on this site.

Lena July 22, 2018 at 6:19 PM

You’re right, To All. It’s why none of the liberals commenting here have the fortitude and wherewithall to refute your assertions. Obama did much worse, but Trump gets taken to the woodshed because liberals are grasping at straws at this point as we see their long, drawn out Russian collusion investigation has produced absolutely nothing which would indicate Trump was in any way involved.

Silva July 24, 2018 at 9:07 AM

The ultra liberal lunatic 9th U.S. Circuit Court strikes (out) again –
PORTLAND, Ore. — A lawsuit filed by ignorant young activists who say the government is failing to protect them from climate change is still alive?

In crazy San Francisco on Friday, the remedial 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals rejected the government’s second request for an order directing a lower court to dismiss the case.

The lawsuit brought by 21 misinformed children and young adults asserts the government has long known that carbon pollution causes climate change but has failed to curb greenhouse gas emissions. They are seeking various environmental remedies.

Why not sue India, China, Japan, and every country south of the U.S. border. That’s where the planet’s real pollution originates. For you mentally challenged: pollution is carried on the wind. DUH!

AlwaysBePositive July 24, 2018 at 9:47 AM

Why are Hollywood liberals comfortable with pedophile jokes?

Lena July 24, 2018 at 6:09 AM

Good question. Hollywood seems to be comfortable with a lot of things society at large finds taboo, criminal, perverse, and abominable..

Randy July 21, 2018 at 7:52 PM

Does anyone see a pattern here? Trump looks like a fool after North Korea meeting. Looks like a fool after Putin meeting. I see a pattern. He’s totally out if his league,

Fred P. July 22, 2018 at 12:09 PM

And your expertise in politics is….?

We’re waiting…..

And waiting….

More whining a]nd blubbering by the sore loser left.

Silva July 22, 2018 at 1:57 PM

He’s incompetent. And He doesn’t care. He never had any idea how he alone was going to fix everything. As long as he gets adulation from the base, get the nice travel perks, make money playing golf and take really nice trips, and be the big cheese making everyone second guess his every step, he’s good.

Lena July 23, 2018 at 2:37 PM

Small-minded liberals with their rhetoric about tolerance and inclusion, and every other emotionally-charged platitude available to them, are the first to deride and demean our hard-working President who conducts a great deal of his business on the golf course. The strides he has made in moving the country forward will reverberate world wide for all time as the most remarkable period in our nation’s history, as he drags Democrats kicking and screaming out of the morass they and they alone have created.

Dr Jellyfinger July 21, 2018 at 9:47 PM

The only pattern I see is Randy looking like a fool.

Trump got prisoners released from N. Korea and returned to the USA.
Remains of soldiers missing since the 1950’s being returned thanks to Trump.
At least one nuclear test site being closed and dismantled thanks to DJT.
The possibility of completely removing nuclear weapons from N. Korea is being negotiated…. and Trump did not give up anything for these concessions.

What’s foolish about that?

HappyPappy July 22, 2018 at 9:22 AM

He doesn’t just look like one, he’s redefined them…… give credit where it’s due, he has an abundance of help.

AlwaysBePositive July 24, 2018 at 9:55 AM

dj…3 prisoners returned, that is a good thing. As of today, no remains have been repatriated, you’ll have to prove that that site closing was due to djt, intelligence suggests it ‘broke’ during nk’s last test and was already worthless, and finally, any sort of proof that any negotiations about the removal of nukes from the peninsula is taking place or has been scheduled? I thought not.

It appears that djt supporters have set an extremely low bar for success.

Randy July 22, 2018 at 9:23 AM

North Korea has canceled follow-up meetings and failed to maintain even basic communications. They even requested Trump send them money for their cooperation. But, here’s the biggie: U.S. intelligence is confirming that they have not stopped their nuclear proliferation program, and a key missile-engine testing facility is still there.

Another fail for Trump. What a deal maker. Americans sure must be so proud of all the big achievements. Putin should be hosted in Maralargo. Without secret service protection. Cheaper.

HappyPappy July 22, 2018 at 11:01 AM

Clearly you have all the inside info, Randy. Please tell us your reliable source so we can be as informed as you think you are.

Elwood July 22, 2018 at 4:21 PM

The voices in your head?

Randy July 22, 2018 at 10:35 AM

Some post current event facts. Conservatives continue to attempt to attack the poster. Just like 45. Truth will come out.

Fred P. July 22, 2018 at 12:13 PM

But we’re just waiting for you to post facts.

For the liberals, that means truth and raw verifiable data. Not spun up opinions by the DNC.

But we wouldn’t expect you to know ANYTHING about that. You’ve demonstrated that time and time again. Not surprising – I have to explain the definition of “truth” to randy, and others…..

So either post the links to the raw data and information …. or continue to be looked upon as a fool. And nobody has to attack you to do so. You’re doing quite well on your own.

HappyPappy July 22, 2018 at 1:03 PM

A request for further information isn’t an attack unless you’re paranoid because you’re making it all up.
So then…..does that mean you have no source to verify your claim?
That would be a lie and you wouldn’t consider lying, would you?

Fred P. July 22, 2018 at 12:06 PM

Randy wouldn’t know the truth if it bit him in the nose.

You can’t handle the truth, sonny…..

Now time for you to grow up nad stop blubbering.

AlwaysBePositive July 24, 2018 at 9:58 AM

fp…Another ad hominen attack with nothing to move the conversation forward. Worse than being a troll, you are becoming predictable and boring. Go play with your new neighbors.

Fred P. July 24, 2018 at 8:54 PM

Deal with it “always”… I’m impressed, you leaned a new phrase.

Nobody’s forcing you to read it. So accorrdibg to you, your reading is limited to “boring” messages.

Now you’re the “spokesman” for the DNC trolls here?

Now why don’t you take your buddies to task for doing the same thing?

And what have YOU done to “move the conversation forward?”

Look in the mirror, hypocrite. For me to be offended would mean that I give a $hit about your opinion.

Abp is another member of hypocrites party of love, tolerance, free speech, diversity and inclusion….. but fails to see the irony in it and fails to take to task those members of his “party” that promote violence.

Go back to playing in the kitty litter box.

Fred P. July 25, 2018 at 6:36 AM

abp – apparently you need to learn the definition of “ad hominen”.

Ad hominem is a response to a person’s argument by attacking the person’s character rather than logic.

So tell us why the liberals are NOT guilty of that in relating to any discussions about Trump. Look at Randy’s comments; look at local’s comments; look at aspirin’s comments. And you CONVENIENTLY ignore those.

Now let’s look at a definition of hypocrite – it’s a person who preaches one thing, and does another. Or feigning to be what one is not or to believe what one does not… behavior that contradicts what one claims to believe or feel .

This illustrates perfectly the faux outrage of the liberals – who are willing to take ANY conservative to task for their opinions, actions or beliefs – yet are guilty of the same thing.

In other words – don’t talk down to ANYONE as if you’re holding the morally superior high ground when you can’t even see your own failings.

End of lesson. Now go sit down. You’ll be expected to stay after school to clean the erasers.

AlwaysBePositive July 25, 2018 at 10:28 AM

fp…First, I already knew what ad hominen means. Second, please point out the position you are attacking me for and which are just personal attacks. Third, asking me to hold others accountable for my viewpoint would be like asking you to defend others for theirs. Moving the conversation could include responses to previous viewpoints, new thoughts or ideas meant to generate responses or asking questions for the thread to respond to. Finally, one thing we know from your own posts…you have moved out of CA. Why don’t you see if your new neighborhood is more your type?

Elwood July 22, 2018 at 6:06 PM

Isn’t it amazing how Randy brings us news not available from any other
We are truly fortunate to have him to explain to us what is really going on.

Lena July 22, 2018 at 6:38 PM

abp Where were you when CNN was reporting Hillary would win the election and be the next President of the United States? Fake News is real. It is pervasive. Recognizing the problem is the first step in overcoming it, but it appears you haven’t recognized it, yet.

For example, the huge number of junk science stories reported by the local media. They have usually been conducted not by scientists in double-blind, peer reviewed studies, but by some organization attempting to manipulate human behavior to accomplish a goal the organization deems worthy. We get them regularly on local media, and they are fake news. It is shameful they ever make it to air.

THE BLACK KNIGHT July 22, 2018 at 9:35 PM

So, currently 10 cities in the State of Maryland and the City of San Francisco allow “resident aliens” and “illegal aliens” to vote in some or all local elections. I’m really surprised that San Francisco voters passed this proposition given the entire “Sanctuary City” controversy going on across the country. This new law that allows non-citizen voting will also create a publically available voter roll of “resident aliens” and “illegal aliens,” that will only make deportations of “illegal aliens” from San Francisco much easier for the federal government.

Randy July 23, 2018 at 1:54 PM

Maria Butina sure did hang out with a lot of prominent Republicans

This woman is seen with a slew of conservatives, NRA heads, and Republicans. Shannon Watts from Moms Demand Action and a few others tweeted out some jaw-dropping images of Butina casually hanging out with conservatives.

Americans are advised to reconsider travel to Mexico at this time by the U.S. State Department, with specific areas determined to be so dangerous they are labeled at the highest security risk, given a “Do not travel” warning. If the United States does not stem the tide of illegal immigration across our Southern border, it is just a matter of time before the streets in our nation are unsafe for our citizens. It may already be too late. Even Baja, a popular American tourist destination, has experience increased crime rates at this time:

“Baja California Sur state – Level 2: Exercise Increased Caution

Exercise increased caution due to crime.

Criminal activity and violence, including homicide, remain an issue throughout the state. According to Government of Mexico statistics, the state experienced an increase in homicide rates compared to the same period in 2016. While most of these homicides appeared to be targeted, criminal organization assassinations, turf battles between criminal groups have resulted in violent crime in areas frequented by U.S. citizens. Bystanders have been injured or killed in shooting incidents.”

There are no U.S. government restrictions for travel in Baja California Sur, which includes the tourist areas of Cabo San Lucas, San Jose del Cabo, and La Paz”

mtzman July 25, 2018 at 9:48 AM

These kinds of warnings have gone on for years. I know of a local church’s mission project to Baja that was cancelled back in the Bush years because of these concerns, so don’t pretend that this is some newly-revealed crisis.

Elwood July 26, 2018 at 11:15 AM

Somehow I doubt that Mexico’s crime statistics are even remotely as accurate as ours.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A federal appeals court ruled Tuesday that the Second Amendment protects the right to openly carry a gun in public for self-defense.

The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled 2-1 that Hawaii officials had violated George Young’s rights when he was denied a permit to openly carry a loaded gun in public to protect himself.

The decision reversed a lower court ruling that sided with officials who said the amendment only applied to guns kept in homes.

“We do not take lightly the problem of gun violence, which the State of Hawaii ‘has understandably sought to fight,'” Judge Diarmuid O’Scannlain wrote. “But, for better or for worse, the Second Amendment does protect a right to carry a firearm in public for self-defense.”

mtzman July 25, 2018 at 10:01 PM

Well, hp, what can you expect from the “ultra liberal lunatic 9th U.S. Circuit Court” (your words from a day or two ago)?

HappyPappy July 25, 2018 at 11:43 PM

Good to know you’re following along. Maybe there’s hope for you after all, mtzman.

Fred P. July 26, 2018 at 6:48 AM

Aspirin – you’ve been provided that information time and time again. Yet you have FAILED to read that information and continue with the same old BS. And you have “prostituted” that definition yourself.
Well-regulated in the terms of the Constitution means “trained”.

The militia consists of the organized and unorganized militia – to use your words….. LOOK IT UP.

Your knowledge of the Federalist Papers, history (in general), the Bill of Rights, the Constitution and firearms is appalling and is an embarrassment to whatever schools you went to .

Until you can provide some proof of expertise on a subject, you’re nothing more than a purveyor of sarcasm and lies.

Now go back to your kitty litter box and back to playing doctor.

“Working with surgeons”…… Riiiiiight.

Elwood July 26, 2018 at 11:26 AM

Wowsers! Aspirin now lectures us on constitutional law.

Kind of like the Arab.

Rollo Tomasi July 26, 2018 at 12:19 PM

It boggles my mind that Aspirin still thinks the Constitution bestows rights. In Aspirin’s imaginary world there was no free speech, no freedom of religion, no freedom of peacable assembly, no right to bear arms, no freedom from unreasonable search and seizure, no right to avoid incriminating oneself…you get the point. No rights existed prior to the ratification of the Constitution. What an incredibly distorted view.

AlwaysBePositive July 26, 2018 at 5:40 PM

rt…I’m surprised you take that position. The point you are not considering is that the Constitution ‘bestows’ a protection of those rights. It seems to me you are saying that all people have those rights. Do you see the N. Koreans using them much?

Rollo Tomasi July 27, 2018 at 10:53 AM

ABP – I hope you understand that bestowal of a protection of rights is different than bestowal of said rights. That has been the point all along; it’s you and Aspirin that continue to miss. Of course North Koreans have those rights. What they don’t have is a constitution that prohibits the government from infringing on them. Neither does the UK or Australia. Do you not believe the people of North Korea have the right to free speech? Even the UN believes they do:

“Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers” – UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights, adopted in 1948.

Have you ever bothered to read the Federalist Papers or transcripts of the debates that took place during the founding of our country? When one reads these materials, it’s impossible to ignore the common thread at the time that these men hated government but recognized the need for it. THAT is the genesis of the Bill of Rights, not some belief that they had the power to bestow rights that somehow otherwise didn’t exist.

Rollo Tomasi July 27, 2018 at 11:03 AM

And Aspirin, you just made Fred’s point for him. This is a fun game:

10 U.S. Code § 246 – Militia: composition and classes

(a) The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard.
(b) The classes of the militia are—
(1) the organized militia, which consists of the National Guard and the Naval Militia; and
(2) the unorganized militia, which consists of the members of the militia who are not members of the National Guard or the Naval Militia.

AlwaysBePositive July 27, 2018 at 6:29 PM

rt…so the point you are arguing about is just semantics. How Clintonian of you. Additionally, the Federalist Papers are an interesting part of American history, but are not crucial to understanding the Constitution. Primarily the work of one founding father, it could just as easily be described as a marketing pamphlet promoting the passage of the Constitution.

And if you’re playing a game, that was a losing hand you laid down. The use of your definition is bass-ackwards. There was no military when the Constitution was written, so the definition of the militia in the Constitution predates your definition and is open to judicial interpretation.

No answers to the quiz I posted earlier? Okay, I’ll try an easier one. Everyone knew that candidate Trump was a lying misogynist that felt his celebrity allowed him to sexually assault women. Everyone also knew that candidate Trump was a liar. So here is my question-The recently released Cohen-djt tape makes certain that djt lied directly to our faces and there is proof in his own words. What would djt have to lie about to cause you to change your opinion of him?

Dr Jellyfinger July 26, 2018 at 7:54 AM

What did he lie about in the recently LEAKED (not released) tape?
I listened to it & could not even tell what was said… poor quality…. still all this leaking going on!

Geez, is there anyone out there who isn’t trying to rat f*&k Trump?

Chicken Little July 26, 2018 at 9:04 AM

Personally, I couldn’t care less if Trump banged a porn star years before he ran for President. I can’t see how it’s relevant to the presidency in any way. Talk about a waste of resources “investigating” stuff that doesn’t matter…

ABP, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, and it’s only out of concern for a fellow commentor, however it’s my belief you may suffer from some type of disorder affecting your ability to post anything of value. Have you considered the negative effects resulting from excessive use of your childhood pull-toy? I knew of someone with the same disorder, he too made up odd questions and false scenarios. Turned out he was in desperate need of attention.
You quack me up.

Fred P. July 26, 2018 at 11:29 AM

“Everyone knew…”?

“Everyone also knew…?

Provide proof that “everyone knew.”

Or are you just grandstanding again and continuing to make outlandish claims? Typical of the liberals who love to make claims yet are unable to provide proof.

Once again, that’s a rhetorical question.

AlwaysBePositive July 26, 2018 at 6:00 PM

dj…The tape was not leaked. djt waived attorney-client privilege on the tape and Cohen released it. Now why would djt waive privilege? Some legal minds think the judge indicated that she might release it under a crime-fraud exception (clients and attorneys have no privilege if they are planning to commit a crime). Your inability to understand what it says is irrelevant, experts can. What is the lie. Candidate Trump told everyone multiple times that all these women were liars. By his own words, that was a lie.
cl…It has nothing to do with the sex, it has to do with deceiving the American electorate before they cast their votes.
fp…Okay, everyone but you knew.

Rollo Tomasi July 27, 2018 at 8:31 AM

“His christan right wing base should care.”

Why? It was made abundantly clear by liberals during the Clinton administration that morals shouldn’t matter in a president; that fidelity to a spouse had no relation to the character of a man, even if indiscretions took place while he was in office, in the White House, with a subordinate, and his wife chose to try publicly shaming the women he was banging while married to her.

So Randy, please explain why it should matter now that the president was banging a porn star long before he took office and tried to buy her silence?

Silva July 27, 2018 at 10:03 AM

It’s very interesting to hear people who’ve been completely and utterly aghast about Bill Clinton’s sex life for the past twenty years are fully on board with Trump’s sexual propensities and activities.

Rollo Tomasi July 27, 2018 at 11:07 AM

Silva, I’ll assume that comment was directed to me. If that assumption is incorrect, feel free to ignore my question.
What part of the comment I left states or even implies that I approve of the personal morals of either of these two scumbags?

Fred P. July 27, 2018 at 11:11 AM

abp – then provide proof that everyone else knew.

Apparently, your “command” of the English language is less than I thought….when you can’t understand a simple question or request.

Typical of libs. When they can’t respond, they attempt to divert .

Dr Jellyfinger July 25, 2018 at 10:43 PM

You are completely wrong Asspain. Hillary pinned the wrongdoings on herself, The Republicans did no more than to point it out! Hillary lost the last election… Republicans didn’t get her more votes because they exposed her! No way… Hillary lost votes because people woke up and recognized her lies. She did not lose the election because her supporters didn’t pay attention, she lost the election because they did! What the hell were you thinking? She got less votes and lost in the states she needed most! Are you that dense? Really?

Fred P. July 26, 2018 at 6:35 AM

Look in the mirror – if you can stand the sight.

Another example of the “tolerant and inclusive” left.

Look at your subsequent comment about hypocrisy. Now go look in the mirror.

Or are those instructions too difficult for you?

BTW, that (again) was a rhetorical question. Obviously, you’re unable to answer questions on your own.

Dr. Jellyfinger July 26, 2018 at 8:25 AM

You know… now that I’m awake, alert…. had my coffee .. I read my last post & realized my tone & choice of words might seem harsh to some.
I insulted him, called him “dense”… I even rubbed his nose in the truth…. pointed out how insane his statements were… called him “Asspain” instead of Aspirin… well….that’s about it.

So let me get this straight…if you use government money for healthcare or school, it’s socialism. But if you use 12 billion dollars for a politically motivated bailout because of disastrous trade policy, it’s emergency aid? Some kind of clown-baby-traitor math gettin’ done.

HappyPappy July 27, 2018 at 9:04 AM

The U.S. gross domestic product grew 4.1 percent, equaling analyst expectations.
We bought more cars, and foreign sales of oil and soybeans gave exports the biggest boost in over four years, in accordance with commerce department report.
The result showed the world’s largest economy — now valued at $20 trillion — is in robust health after the stimulus and tax cuts by President Trump and Republican lawmakers.

HappyPappy July 27, 2018 at 9:21 AM

A.T. –
Disastrous Trade Policy? Had you kept up on current events you’d know Trump cut a deal with the E.U. to buy our soybeans.
And yes, if you use government money for healthcare or school (leftist indoctrination centers), it’s socialism. Maybe you’re not old to remember when schools were supposed to be politically neutral.
“clown-baby-traitor” Really? tsk, tsk, so mature!

mtzman July 27, 2018 at 11:45 AM

Don’t get me wrong, the economy is doing well. In fact, it’s the best since, well, since Barack Obama was president. Yes, 3.2 million jobs have been created in the 17 months since Trump took office. Of course, 3.84 million jobs were created in the final 17 months of the Obama Administration. And that “impossible” 4.1 quarterly growth rate? Obama did it five different times, including one over 5 percent.

HappyPappy July 27, 2018 at 12:26 PM

mtzman –
“The best since obama” ?
As I’m sure you know, the jobs “created” under obama weren’t very many private sector jobs, they were mostly govt jobs which cost the taxpayer. I don’t view that as growing the economy. It’s the way democrats roll so that they can post a positive sounding (false) report to fool the fools.
Nice try though.

mtzman July 27, 2018 at 1:08 PM

Who’s fooling who, hp? Government jobs actually declined during the Obama years by roughly 361,000 according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Nice try, though …

HappyPappy July 27, 2018 at 1:38 PM

mtzman –
That’s news to me. Would you mind showing us the link to your source for that 361,000 decrease in govt jobs.

mtzman July 27, 2018 at 3:41 PM

I got the numbers from CNN Money (and it was 341,000 not 361,000) and they got it from the BLS.

But by all means, search “obama loss of government jobs” and see for yourself.

Elwood July 27, 2018 at 5:43 PM

It’s painful to watch him reading from a script he’s really so unconcerned he’s never looked at before. He must pay special attention to the numbers, though they print it in large font for him he won’t wear his glasses. He knows he must make sure to say the right numbers, but afterwards he goes into super duper used car salesman/carnival barker and ad libs. He launches into “And it’s going to be even better, much MUCH better!! And you’re all going to have wonderful health care, and it won’t cost ANYTHING!!!” etc, etc.. He looks like it’s sunk in 95% that his goose is thoroughly cooked though, no way to fast talk his way around it. He’s just going through the old motions and saying the old tired catch-phrases for the last of the groupies.. In all seriousness though, he has looked deflated since Helsinki. Now there would’ve been a time and place to have been a fly on the wall for those two secret hours.

Fred P. July 27, 2018 at 11:20 AM
