California Cuts Emissions as Its Economy Booms

“Surpassing our 2020 emissions goal ahead of schedule while our economy grows by a nation-leading 4.9% and our unemployment rate is at a historic low should send a message to politicians all over the country: you don’t have to re-invent the wheel – just copy us.”

apollo idol prudence July 14, 2018 at 3:40 PM

SO, SOMEONE Cut the cheese while my bumhole booms?

Elwood July 13, 2018 at 7:36 PM

Local’s number one! Local’s number one! (and number two)

What a pathetic life!

Local July 13, 2018 at 8:35 PM

“I’m not pathetic! I’m not pathetic! You’re pathetic!”

“Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find Elwoods email.”

Local July 13, 2018 at 8:48 PM

“Local’s number one!”
– Elwood July 13, 2018 at 7:36 PM

Thanks, Elwood. I consider it a public service.

Dr Jellyfinger July 13, 2018 at 11:01 PM

Local is equally number two as well….

apollo idol prudence July 14, 2018 at 3:41 PM

i was local one before getting taken over by the teamstes, at least we knew the assholes we were dealiing with at that time

Fred P. July 15, 2018 at 5:26 PM

Is that his IQ?

Elwood July 13, 2018 at 7:43 PM

Gee, I’ll bet those 12 Russians are scared spitless.

Indicted by Mueller?

Oh, the horror, the horror!

Local July 16, 2018 at 11:05 PM

One more Russian under arrest here in the US as of today.

Maga July 13, 2018 at 7:44 PM

Be careful, Local – you’re starting to sound like a REPUBLICAN!

Local July 13, 2018 at 8:33 PM

“Gee”, what an abnormal assumption Elwood has. Of course the 12 indicted russian military members who hacked Americans, aren’t scared. They’re facing Putin’s puppet, weak trump who eats at McDonald’s because he’s scared of being poisoned by his boss.

94523 July 14, 2018 at 4:30 PM

Hey Local your approval rating is down to zero for those of us that can think for ourselves.

Local July 13, 2018 at 9:46 PM

Under Obama it cost me $30 to fill up my car.

It just cost me $50 to fill up tonight, under trump.

Vote R for Recession.

Dr Jellyfinger July 13, 2018 at 10:51 PM

Geez Local…. what did you fill it up with?

Don’t tell me a Progressive Liberal like you drives a car that runs on fossil fuel!

How did Trump raise the price of gas anyway?

Tsa July 13, 2018 at 10:53 PM

It’s easy to lie isn’t it.

HappyPappy July 13, 2018 at 11:33 PM

You can thank the hybrids and EVs for the increased gas cost, and don’t forget Gov Loonbeam’s tax increase.
I paid $2.94 per gal in Nevada last week. Here we’re paying .50 to .75 more. Well he does need the money to pay for his legacy…….that Crazy Train to nowhere.

Law Dog July 14, 2018 at 8:09 AM

Thank Jerry Brown and the Democrats for your gas Local.

Badge1104 July 14, 2018 at 8:45 AM

Yah, Local, that is true about the gas price but thank goodness because of Trump we have $500 more per month in our pockets than we did under Obama. and our deductibles went up 10 times higher

Badge1104 July 14, 2018 at 10:20 AM

Sorry, part of my statement was cut out. I meant to say what a lie Obama care was: it cost us 2k more a year, and deductible went up 10x

Elwood July 14, 2018 at 11:35 AM

Local dear, won’t you please explain to us how Trump caused gas prices to rise 67% in only a year and a half in office.

I guess the price of oil, shortages etc. had nothing to do with it.

Most of us learned to read, write and cipher in grade school.

Local July 14, 2018 at 2:59 PM

You don’t need me to tell you trump increased gas prices. It’s all over the news:

Donald Trump’s tweets increased oil prices by $10

President Donald Trump has significantly increased global oil prices through his tweets, Iran’s OPEC chief said this week.

“Your tweets have increased the prices by at least $10. Please stop this method,” OPEC Governor Hossein Kazempour Ardebili said Thursday, Iranian news service Shana reported. The oil boss also accused Trump of fomenting tensions in the Middle East, specifically by pitting Iran against Saudi Arabia.

Ardebili’s accusations came as oil prices have surged in recent months.

Lies, lies, and more lies July 14, 2018 at 3:08 PM

Now Local is an Iranian propaganda bot.

Cy Nical July 15, 2018 at 7:55 AM

Local- If the now booming economy is due to Obama why aren’t rising gas prices due to Obama? You can’t have it both ways.

Local July 16, 2018 at 11:08 PM

Nah, the economy has been tanking this year as gas prices rise.

Trade wars don’t lower prices. Thanks chump.

Local July 17, 2018 at 8:19 AM

While happy pappy brags about paying $2.95 last week in NV, I paid $1.99 2yrs ago in NV under Obama.

This morning it was $3.95/galllon here in claycord. Thanks for driving up the prices with your failing “trade wars”, chump.

Dr Jellyfinger July 13, 2018 at 10:53 PM

Looks like all the Socialists in Jolly Old England took the day off….
Well… if they actually have jobs that is.

Nature Lover July 14, 2018 at 11:12 AM

Perhaps they were offended by Trump telling Prime Minister May how to do her job.

Dr Jellyfinger July 14, 2018 at 4:58 PM

Not likely Nature Lover.
May is from the Conservative Party…. I doubt the Green Party, Labour Party or any of the other lefty factions care much about her hurt feelings.

Rollo Tomasi July 15, 2018 at 7:34 AM

Dr. J, how many times must you be reminded not to bother them with facts or relevant details?

Remember when Obama told the whole of the British people how they should vote on Brexit?

Nature Lover July 15, 2018 at 10:19 AM

Nice try Jelly but not all Europeans who criticize Trump are Socialists just as those of us here who disagree with Trump are not Anti American.

Dr. Jellyfinger July 16, 2018 at 10:44 PM

Not anti American… just low information… low intelligence quotient (God I hope I spelled that correctly!) and probably low attention span as well. It isn’t that they want to be blatantly anti American… it’s just that they are too lazy to think for themselves so they blindly follow whatever marching orders Commandants Pelosi & Schumer manage to spit out for them.

USA July 13, 2018 at 11:46 PM

= Made America Great Again

Badge1104 July 14, 2018 at 9:14 AM

I love how president Trump called Germany onto the carpet. they don’t pay their fair share to Nato for their self-defense, even though they’re one of the richest countries in Europe and the world, they look to America defend them all the while they charge 10 times more Tariffs on our trade then they are paying on trade with us. Trump also called out their Hypocracy for a country that claims to use only solar and wind energy and be so green and ecologically correct and they’re bringing in a gas pipeline from Russia. Trump is right why trust your energy to an enemy country. Trump right! Trump go! you’ve got my vote in 2020!

Dr Jellyfinger July 14, 2018 at 10:16 AM

Germany is not even ready to defend themselves or anyone else!

Elwood July 14, 2018 at 11:44 AM

Amen, Badge!

Dr Jellyfinger July 14, 2018 at 10:03 AM

“The Mueller investigation will prove that Trump’s election was a scam”

Rollo Tomasi July 14, 2018 at 10:10 AM

Aspirin has once again left a comment that is long on hyperbole and short on fact. Unfortunately, without a dramatic soundtrack it doesn’t have the desired effect.

Uhh, Aspirin? It’s a constitutional representative republic, but I’m sure you’re busy so just continue using democracy because it’s easier to write and your low information cohorts don’t care about the nuance.

Lena July 14, 2018 at 11:00 AM

Refresher for Aspirin ….

Stand, place hand over one’s
heart, and repeat these words:

“I Pledge Allegiance to the Flag
of the United States of America,
and to the 🇺🇸Republic🇺🇸 for which it stands,
one Nation, under God,
with Liberty and Justice for All..”

Lies, lies, and more lies July 14, 2018 at 11:40 AM

Why didn’t the president do something to protect the electoral process? Because Obama was certain that the fix was in for Hillary.

Elwood July 14, 2018 at 11:41 AM

Apparently, no thought has been given to winding up the eternal investigation of everyone for everything.

The mountain has labored and brought forth a mouse.

Expect nothing different.

slagheap July 14, 2018 at 11:48 AM

just dropped in to count the treason enablers. quite a few. jellyfinger, badge, usa, lawdog, elwood, maga, etc. etc.

Dr Jellyfinger July 14, 2018 at 12:13 PM

Treason? Nah! The current Blue Team is only guilty of sedition….

Treason is a different crime….. like giving billions of dollars to the world’s #1 sponsor of terrorism.

Fred P. July 15, 2018 at 5:30 PM

Like the rest of the liberals, this one doesn’t know the definition of the word “treason.”

Try again, cupcake.

Elwood July 15, 2018 at 5:44 PM

yeah I’ve been called a lot of things but never a treason enabler before.

. won’t you please give us details?

Nature Lover July 16, 2018 at 2:10 PM

Did you all catch Traitor Don’s news conference with Putin? Unbelievable.

AlwaysBePositive July 17, 2018 at 8:52 AM

dj…You honestly don’t see that djt gave “aid and comfort” to an enemy of the United States yesterday?
fp…another ad hominem attack with no substance. yawn…

Lena July 17, 2018 at 10:09 AM

abp “You honestly don’t see that djt gave “aid and comfort” to an enemy of the United States yesterday?”

You might find life more enjoyable with a slightly less pragmatic outlook. Like “Maybe Sometimes Be Positive” or “Try To Be Positive Once In A While.” Russia is not our “enemy,” just a friend we don’t know very well, yet. Actually, we have a lot in common. We have many Russian immigrants who fled the former Soviet Union when their meal ticket expired under Gorbachev. Probably staunch Democrats by now. Caucasians share many genetic similarities with them. Do you find that racially threatening seeing as how you stalk and harass those who don’t look at things the same way you do.

Dr Jellyfinger July 14, 2018 at 12:17 PM

Lena….. you forgot “indivisible”

Rollo Tomasi July 14, 2018 at 12:41 PM

You forgot racists, bigots, homophobes, demagogues, deplorables, white supremacists and Nazis. You’re off your game, Skippy.

Lena July 17, 2018 at 7:32 AM

Thank you!

Jojo Potato July 14, 2018 at 12:47 PM

When I was in high school, circa 1970, I completed that prayer as:

With Liberty and Justice for all White Anglo Saxon Males.

Yes, right here in the Claycord. And I didn’t stand up either.

Lena July 14, 2018 at 1:33 PM

Sorry. Correction:

“I Pledge Allegiance to the Flag
of the United States of America,
and to the 🇺🇸Republic🇺🇸 for which it stands,
one Nation, under God, indivisable,
with Liberty and Justice for All..”

Thanks, Dr. Jellyfinger.

Dr Jellyfinger July 14, 2018 at 5:07 PM

That was beautiful Lena!

I’m afraid it’s wasted on Aspirin though….
He just sits in his dark little basement swigging vodka and throwing darts at a portrait of President Trump with “The Song Of The Volga Boatmen” playing softly in the background.

slagheap July 14, 2018 at 9:45 PM

on thursday NY filed the awaited lawsuit against the trump foundation. the state has a ton of hard evidence, including, but not limited to, letters, emails, tax filings, memos, and other documents, including at least one signed by trump.

Dr Jellyfinger July 14, 2018 at 10:13 PM

Could this be the magic bullet the Democrats have been praying for?

Do they have evidence that the Trump Foundation accepted enormous “donations” from foreign countries that were obvious bribes to buy influence?

Did they find the Trump foundation only spent .10¢ out of every dollar on actual charitable causes?

Did Trump’s own daughter tell him that the way he was running the foundation made him look like a “hustler”?

Well….. good luck with that!

AlwaysBePositive July 16, 2018 at 8:45 AM

More evidence of the lack of moral compass from djt. Apparently, he believes his charitable foundation was meant to benefit him.

Lena July 17, 2018 at 7:27 AM

Charitable foundations are designed to give the wealthy a tax incentive to be charitable, and do, therefore, exist primarily to benefit those who establish and run them. If you want to talk moral compass and chatitable foundations, let’s talk about the Clintons because their charitable foundation abuses are documented and legendary, at this point. Trump’s are mere speculation.

AlwaysBePositive July 17, 2018 at 6:24 PM

l…Hmm, I thought charitable foundations were meant to provide charity, with ancillary financial benefits to those who donate to that charity, not necessarily to the people that run the charity. While neither the Clinton nor the Trump Foundations have been criminally charged with anything, the Trump Foundation has been sued by New York for not acting like a charity. That is not speculation.

SF oh July 15, 2018 at 8:55 AM

@Jojo… I also went to high school right here in Claycord, circa 1970s, and I never heard that “prayer” (which is actually a “pledge”). Don’t recall high schoolers reciting the Pledge of Allegiance either – only in elementary school. So, you’re saying you were protesting and channeling Kaepernick 10 – 15 years before he was born? Interesting. Either way, I always wonder why singling out men is ok, but singling out women is sexist (?). Why is singling out minorities racist, but singling out Anglo Saxons is ok (?). Seems all the same to me…. you’re still forming an opinion of someone based on their physical appearance. Whatever group sexist or racist remarks and assumptions are targeting, it’s still wrong. You may have been ahead of your time – but not in a good way.

Fred P. July 15, 2018 at 5:25 PM

We’re waiting for that “ton of hard evidence.”

Still waiting…..

More BS political posturing …..

slagheap July 17, 2018 at 11:20 PM

my bad, fred. i apologize for the link to a site containing big words. if lawfare is too difficult for you to read, the nyt and wash post also contain one or more lengthy, detailed, pieces. you do know how to use a search engine, right? the trump organization was under investigation for two years prior to the suit’s announcement.

Fred P. July 15, 2018 at 5:29 PM

About the time the stock market crashes – per aspirin’s earlier quote…. remember that he said it would crash when trump got elected.

Still knows nothing about law, economics, health care, firearms, etc, etc, etc….

Back to the kitty litter box for him.

Lena July 15, 2018 at 7:41 PM

Maybe Kaepernik can learn to play soccer for Britain.

AlwaysBePositive July 16, 2018 at 8:27 AM

djt says that Russia is not a friend or foe, but rather a competitor. Really?
US economy @$22 trillion, Russia economy @$1 trillion.

If djt says anything other than Russia meddled in our election (definitively), he has abdicated his primary role as President…to defend the country from enemies foreign and domestic.

Dr Jellyfinger July 16, 2018 at 10:28 PM

Interesting observation ABP… tell me… how did you feel about Obama giving BILLLIONS OF DOLLARS to the Iranians?

Local July 16, 2018 at 11:20 PM

False. That money was from a settlement from decades ago.

Meanwhile, trump gave a billion in US WEAPONS to Saudi Arabia.

Dr Jellyfinger July 17, 2018 at 7:34 AM

It isn’t “false”
You can candy coat it and say it was their money, so what? Tough! The fact remains, B. Hussein Obama sent BILLIONS of dollars to the Iranian Govt. The number one sponsor of terrorism on Earth.

Dr Jellyfinger July 17, 2018 at 7:48 AM

Trump GAVE the Saudis weapons? I didn’t know that….. I know we SOLD them weapons for billions of dollars tho, and I hope you are at least aware enough to know who the biggest threat to the Saudis & the other top oil producing countries in the middle east is… do you?
tick…. tick… tick… times up!

It is the Iranians! That’s right! The same one’s BHO gave billions of dollars to. Go figure…

AlwaysBePositive July 17, 2018 at 8:37 AM

dj…(1) President Obama did not give money to the Iranians. As part of the nuclear deal he gave the Iranians access to Iranian money that had previously been frozen in our banking system. (2) How does your question relate to my post?

Nunya July 17, 2018 at 5:34 PM

how does your democratic narrative illusions relate to reality?

AlwaysBePositive July 16, 2018 at 8:41 AM

dj…When the investigation is complete. Benghazi investigation-over 2 years and no indictments, Mueller about 14 months almost 30 indictments.
rt…A little too simplistic (or maybe to little information). What would you call the votes we cast on CA propositions? Democracy.
l…To pledge allegiance to our flag? Better to pledge allegiance to the ideas that make America what it strives to be. By the way, you know the founders did not include the reference to God in the original pledge, that was added in the 1950’s to counter the ideology of djt’s benefactor…

Anonymous July 16, 2018 at 9:50 AM

I just watched Trump/ Putin press conference . It is painful for me to say but I’ll probably agree with posts from Asprin or whatever his current name is…

Neville Chamberlain comes to mind.

Even Fox is blasting trump. Hannity will of course spew more of his nonsense . The reality is Trump looked very weak. I think Putin does have the tapes.

AlwaysBePositive July 16, 2018 at 11:56 AM

When asked today if Russia had damaging information on djt, Putin responded with something like-I didn’t even know he was in Moscow.

Truth machine translation…The Russian intelligence gathering systems were working as they automatically do, and if djt stayed in the Ritz-Carlton Moscow (which was built with espionage devices in the construction), the question is not if Russia has information on djt, it is whether what he did in that hotel is damaging to him.

Rollo Tomasi July 16, 2018 at 12:04 PM

ABP – I’ve read Aspirin’s original comment a couple times now and can find no evidence that the comment was referencing California, but rather the US. I’ll go ahead and assume your “to(sic) little information” comment was introspect on your part.

AlwaysBePositive July 16, 2018 at 3:32 PM

rt…too fine a point to be correct.
First, Americans have died for the right of democratic elections just as they have for constitutional representative republic elections.
Second, all federal elections in the United States are constitutional representative republic elections, but not all American elections are federal. Some state and local elections are democratic elections. However, all state and local elections are American elections. Therefore when a… says “Thousands of Americans have died in wars to ensure our democracy…” that statement is correct.

Lena July 16, 2018 at 6:49 PM

,,, or Croatia.

Anonymous July 16, 2018 at 9:33 PM

I’m having an attack of the vapors.
Always be positive , who is almost always wrong summed it up. At the press conference when Putin said he had no tapes and besides trump wasn’t even known to him then, there should have been a follow up question, “Does the KGB plan ahead? “

AlwaysBePositive July 17, 2018 at 8:32 AM

If you disagree with me, at least state correctly what I said. Neither I nor Putin said he has no tapes of djt. Maybe the follow-up question was supposed to be asked by the journalist that was manhandled out of the room prior to the start of the press conference. You ask “Does the KGB plan ahead?”. Did you read my post? The Moscow Ritz-Carlton was constructed with active espionage equipment built into the construction.

Dr Jellyfinger July 16, 2018 at 11:08 PM

Oh come on ABP! Mueller indicting Russians for twiddling out phony stories about our candidates? They will never come here to be judged! It’s a friggin joke. I might as well indict the 7 Dwarfs for statutory rape or contributing to the delinquency of a minor… try to extradite them from Fantasy Land…. but if you want to count those Russian indictments as a win… (Gad! how desperate can you get?) well just go ahead & brag about (it as if it means anything) …. pathetic!

Dr Jellyfinger July 16, 2018 at 11:40 PM
LocaI July 17, 2018 at 7:02 AM

As usual, jellyfinger proves their opponents point.

Trump has gotten away with blaming US intelligence up until yesterday, when he bashed America, calling it foolish, over Russia, who is directly indicted.

Yes, much different jellyfinger. That why Trump’s a traitor.

Dr Jellyfinger July 17, 2018 at 7:53 PM

Tell me all about it in November….
I’ve got a feeling the Blue Wave is going to crash on the rocks as Republicans easily keep the House & Senate.
We will let America decide….

In the meantime you Lefticrats might want to plan your post-election dinner:

Susan I. July 17, 2018 at 6:08 AM

Why is it the only answer some of you have is defaulting to Obama, Hillary, etc? No one has acted within the scope of the constitutional definition of treason.
Face it djt thinks of himself as an authoritarian leader. He is destroying the very relationships that we have relied on for generations. As for NATO, when was the ONLY time Article 5 was invoked. The date was 9/12/01. Where was Putin?
I really dislike what this is doing to us as a country. This is bigger then djt. Why in the hell do some people think it is ok to interfere with our democratic process? This is sickening. Forget the president… this is OUR country and we need to protect and defend our way of life as a country. That is up to us.

Lena July 17, 2018 at 7:18 AM

Well, I thought President Trump’s meeting with Putin went off swimmingly. Our President looked strong and able to handle another shorty in a firm but benovalent manner. His leadership style is like your favorite “teddy” from childhood. He doesn’t come in beating you over the head with your failings. He tests the water, sizes up his oponent and we will see how things proceed from there. It is to our benefit to have agreeable relations with the world’s leaders, and Trump excells at this as we have seen. Make America Great, Again, President Trump. We are all be rooting for you to suceed.

Randy July 17, 2018 at 9:39 AM

Well he definitely has shown his loyalty is for putin and not the country he represents…PUPPET.

AlwaysBePositive July 17, 2018 at 8:46 AM

dj…Investigations are not about instant gratification. The first set of indictments involved social media manipulation. The second set of indictments dealt with the actual crime of breaking into private computers. It has been said that the third set of indictments will deal with Americans that were involved. Some think yesterdays arrest of a Russian national for unregistered foreign lobbying with the NRA and the Republican Party is just the first of more to come.

Anonymous July 17, 2018 at 9:22 AM

Always be positive.

Go back and read what I said. There were two parts. One agreeing with you and the second proposing my theory . I never alluded to you putting that theory forward.

AlwaysBePositive July 19, 2018 at 9:54 AM

You’re right, sorry about that.

Randy July 17, 2018 at 9:48 AM

So, we have 25 indictments on Russian hackers for interfering with our election process, and one Russian spy Maria Butina with ties to the NRA…and YET, he supported Russia over his own government agencies today. He is a traitor to this country.

And What a coincidence that out of all the people Trump could have asked a question of at the “FreedomFest” during the campaign, he picked the same Russian Authorities now think helped funnel cash to his campaign through the NRA…

There is strong speculation that the “person 1” in the Butina indictment- a US government official who was conspiring with her- is none other than So. Cal. Congressman Dana Rohrabacher.

Rollo Tomasi July 17, 2018 at 1:19 PM

25 indictments and still no proof that even one individual changed their vote due to Russian meddling, or that even one vote was changed thru tampering with voting machines. And the lefty loonies soldier on.

Randy July 17, 2018 at 4:54 PM

Keep drinking the koolaide buddy if it makes you happy.

slagheap July 17, 2018 at 5:17 PM

That’s all for Future News!

slagheap July 17, 2018 at 5:31 PM

rollo, that won’t mean squat to the judge upon sentencing, get it? if you pull a gun on the teller in your local bank, whether you escape with any dough is immaterial. these initial indictments are just the start, pal.

slagheap July 17, 2018 at 8:56 PM

nunya, ” past ” isn’t synonymous with ” passed. ” catch my drift?

Elwood July 17, 2018 at 11:00 PM

Whatever happened to “collusion”? Whatever happened to “obstruction of justice”?

Even considering that a marginally qualified prosecutor can induce a grand jury to indict a ham sandwich, if Trump is indicted for these charges or anything else I will concede that the left wing loonies have been right all along. I do not see the likelihood of any concession in my future.

Now don’t go getting your hopes up boys and girls. He will not be impeached either. I’d suggest that you devote your time and misdirected energy to the search for manbearpig.

Rollo Tomasi July 17, 2018 at 12:27 PM

I wonder how many foreign nations have indicted US operatives for meddling in their elections? There’s a reason it’s not in the news – nobody (including US operatives) gives a s**t.

Elwood July 17, 2018 at 1:37 PM

I believe illegal immigrant families should be quickly reunited.

and then quickly deported

Nunya July 17, 2018 at 5:31 PM

How about a two-fer!

Reunite them on the other side of the border!

Silva July 17, 2018 at 6:39 PM

Divide and conquer.

Lena July 17, 2018 at 2:55 PM

He hasn’t done anything yet for which I would not forgive him. I’m disappointed about the Daniels thing, but that was years ago so it really doesn’t seem major to me. He’s had some missteps, yes, but he has recovered nicely. He’s the Charlie Brown of Presidents and by the time he leaves office everybody will love him. He has generously made many women very wealthy and I believe he sincerely cares about saving our country from the pit the Democrats and digging fior us, one that historically has proven disasterous more than once for other societies. All in all, I think he is doing an excellent job. I’m quite happy with his work to date. Now, with that, I’m done. I can’t stand “politics” and the country is in good hands, so adieu.

slagheap July 17, 2018 at 5:23 PM

more indictments coming before the mid-terms, a double handful, and this time american citizens will be included. the initial few could be sooner than later, too.

Elwood July 17, 2018 at 7:06 PM

could you please translate that into English?

JWB July 17, 2018 at 8:28 PM

@ Elwood I don’t think it’s a language problem for you. It is a comprehension problem for you, since you can only follow Rush and company…….

slagheap July 17, 2018 at 8:49 PM

it means the president is lying to you. if you think the putin summit fiasco was damaging, wait a couple of months. what’s about to emerge is much worse. unlike the summit there will be indictments involved – indictments of americans cooperating with russians to subvert the 2016 election. also unlike the summit, mueller’s team will have every last minute detail thoroughly documented – nothing private about it, he won’t be taking anybody’s word about what was said. so go ahead with your cute little comments, but it’s coming.

Elwood July 17, 2018 at 10:50 PM

You are assuming I listen to Rush. I listen to public radio about ten times more than I do to Rush. I listen to Rush for the comedy.

Remember, when you assume it makes an ass of you and me.

Randy July 17, 2018 at 5:43 PM

What a joke and embarrassment number 45 us.

Trump verbatim

I thought that I made myself very clear by having just reviewed the transcripts—I have to say, I came back and I said, “what is going on, what is the big deal?” So I got a transcript, I reviewed it, I actually went out and reviewed a clip of an answer that I gave, and I realized there is a need for some clarification. It should have been obvious, I thought it would be obvious, but I would like to clarify just in case it wasn’t. In a key sentence in my remarks I said the word would instead of wouldn’t. The sentence should have been, “I don’t see any reason why I wouldn’t,” or “why it wouldn’t be Russia.” So just to repeat it, I said the word would instead of wouldn’t. And the sentence should have been, and I thought I would be maybe a little bit unclear on the transcript or unclear on the actual video [ed.: ?], the sentence should have been, “I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t be Russia.” So sort of a double negative. So you can put that in, and I think that probably clarifies things pretty good by itself.

Silva July 17, 2018 at 9:05 PM

It seems that someone has recently schooled him on English grammar’s use of double negatives.

Silva July 17, 2018 at 9:18 PM

That is not to say he understood what it meant.

JWB July 17, 2018 at 9:58 PM

Just give the Donald a break it must have been an honest mistake, just like when he had his fling with Stormy, we all know he thought it was Melania in his bed, another honest mistake it happens all the time.

Elwood July 17, 2018 at 11:03 PM

Randy dear, you told us you were going away and now here you are back again like a bad penny.

If we can’t trust Randy, who can we trust?

AlwaysBePositive July 19, 2018 at 9:51 AM

Don’t remember where I heard this but wouldn’t you think that a “stable genius” would understand how double negatives work?

Silva July 17, 2018 at 6:01 PM

“I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

Clarification by Donald J. Trump; Where he said “will” he meant “won’t.”

Dr Jellyfinger July 18, 2018 at 11:48 PM

Cheap shot Silva… you’re better than that.

Silva July 19, 2018 at 7:58 AM

Dr. Jellyfinger, You are much too kind.

It’s not treason, it’s alternate loyalty – Kelly Anne Amway

Let’s go back and take a look at Gowdy’s email for the last seven years and see if he held any animosity towards a subject of his investigation. For the slow kids, that’s Hillary.

“I misspoke” d.j.t — for 40 minutes.

So which is more patriotic, kneeling in protest during the National Anthem, or licking Vlad’s boots?

“A spy in the old days, when our country was respected and strong, would be executed” d.j.t April 2014

” I spoke with Bin Laden and he said he didn’t do it” -b.h.o 2015.
Just kidding, could you imagine?

Type ‘dumb’ into Google images and see who’s picture comes up first. Same with ‘traitor’, and ‘liar’.

Putin/Trump 2020!

Dr. Jellyfinger July 18, 2018 at 7:56 AM

I can see how most people believe Trump just waffled, but for something almost exactly the same I had to deal with…..

Lucky me! I got picked for jury duty once upon a time & had to waste a week listening to a bunch of back & forth BS for the trial of one person who committed a burglary along with two others. The defendant drove the getaway car (which didn’t get far) and was quickly caught. Defendant claimed not to know the others were burglarizing a house. When we were shown the defendant’s taped confession, the officer present asked “So before you left your apartment you all agreed you “wouldn’t” break into a house”.
The defendant answered “yes”. All the jurors agreed that the officer merely misspoke, but they found defendant “not guilty”. I found the defendant guilty as hell but voted with the others so we could all go home. Speak clearly!

AlwaysBePositive July 19, 2018 at 10:02 AM

dj…It seems to me that you hold others to a higher standard than you hold yourself. The lackadaisical effort you describe in fulfilling your civic duty as an American is indicative of how far we have moved away from the ideals America critical to the formation of the greatest nation in the modern history of the world.

Dr Jellyfinger July 19, 2018 at 10:48 PM

ABP – I did my civic duty, but after several votes it was obvious we were not going to get a guilty verdict. Only an idiot would hang a jury for such a petty crime that would likely have ended with time served and probation.
I don’t know who you think I’ve been holding to a ‘higher standard” or what you consider ‘lackadaisical’ about pulling jury duty for 4 days and I don’t really care. I think you just make these flip comments to try to pizz me off…. amusing at best.
The topic was about people having misspoken.

AlwaysBePositive July 20, 2018 at 12:22 AM

Do you recall “Democrat” who won against the number 4 House Democrat recently in New York?
Is this the culmination of all the so called grass roots movements that have spun out of the control of Democrats ?
Is this a preview of things to come in months before the NOvember elections?

“Yes, please! Please go straight to LaGuardia and shut it down. But don’t stop there! “Every airport” needs to be occupied and shut down by Democrats. Between now and the midterm elections, Democrats should do all they can to make air travel inconvenient, and preferably impossible.”

Randy July 18, 2018 at 4:46 PM

Well now we know what Putin told the puppet to do and where Russia will strike next.

President Trump, who rattled U.S. allies at a NATO meeting last week, voiced concern in a television interview broadcast this week that sending troops from the alliance to defend an “aggressive” Montenegro could result in World War III

Original G July 18, 2018 at 5:20 PM

For those tired of former President Obama in his vain attempts to be relevant and center of attention a suggestion. Lets all chip in five dollars and buy him some land for his retirement home and Presidential Library.

Perfect spot for his retirement years, fantastic climate of the Mediterranean on an island off the Italian coast which already was back in 1814 a retirement location for a very famous person.

Atticus Thraxx July 18, 2018 at 5:39 PM

I don’t get your obsession with all things Obama O.G. You are aware a clown-baby-traitor holds that office now and has for more than a year and a half. And is now the clear and present danger. But I guess you’re in a tough spot ideologically speaking. I’m positive the lefties will accept your apology for voting for the clown-baby-traitor if it’s sincere. Whadddaya say lefties? 😉

Randy July 18, 2018 at 5:42 PM

If I were you I too would look for Obama news. I certainly wouldn’t want to know what idiotic statement came out of the puppets mouth today.

Original G July 18, 2018 at 7:05 PM

Definitely not an obsession, a sense of humor from the perspective of a long time observer of peoples behaviour.

Elba was good enough for Napoleon Bonaparte,
should be perfect fit for a little fellow having an even larger ego.

One has to admire his unbridled hubris coupled with profound narcissism. Most former Presidents have the decorum to enjoy their retirement and hold their tongues, out of respect for the office and their successor.

The Horsemen of the apocalypse obama, pelosi, reid, and then schumer cost Democratic party in excess of 1,000 seats in state government, congress and Presidency during obama administration.

An obama has said he intends to “help” for upcoming mid terms and 2020 presidential election.

Would think democrats would be giving like crazy ahead of the mid terms ? ? ? ? That Blue WAVE and all.
If memory servers for campaign funds DNC has roughly $9 million while GOP has over $47 million. (cash on hand)

Am wondering when Democrat party candidates are going to wake up and tell obama to stay home ? ? ? But am hoping history will have the benefit of recording the effects of obama’s “help” for 2018 and 2020 elections. After 2018 and 2020, may find my JOKE about Elba wasn’t such a bad thing.

Democratic Party is changing their slogan from “Better Deal” to
“For the People”.

From recent liberal political rhetoric and behavior of Democrat politicians a more fitting slogan for Democratic party would seem to be “For the ILLEGALS”.

Like lemmings to a cliff and the BLUE wave below.

Atticus Thraxx July 18, 2018 at 8:07 PM

O.G. I only persist in my query because you seem to have not drunk as deeply…the orange kool-aid. But I read your post and I have to wonder. You say you are an observer of human behavior and while the clown-baby-traitor jets about treating the national fabric the way I treat rental cars, you continue on for several more paragraphs not once mentioning clown-baby-traitor’s antics. In fact all the usual Red Team members are kinda quiet. I guess I would be to. But I warned ya’ll, do not trust the draft-dodging, lying, kitty-groping, racist, war chicken, adulterer. He will bring shame to the nation, and sure as shiite, I was right.
Now granted Hillary possess a dank, hungry, lying soul her ownself, so that did complicate matters. But damn you guys hired easily the most morally corrupt adult I’ve ever been exposed to. But on and on you go about the Kenyan. A cynic might think that kind of delusion is racially based.
Luckily I’m not a cynic. 😉

Dr Jellyfinger July 18, 2018 at 11:25 PM

America just got tired of all the lying politicians in both parties, and had no choice but to elect a guy who wasn’t a politician & wasn’t afraid to call out all the elected elite snobs who are full of sh*t!

Remember, there were/are a lot of Republicans that did not want Trump either!

The American people chose Trump because they were sick of all the partisan crap! It was a big “FU” to both parties.

Trump is there because the Republicans & Democrats were NOT putting “America First” and the voters made it clear “WE” are not going to take their business as usual crap anymore!

DNC & GOP (RINOS) wake up and take notice…. This is your comeuppance! You doubt me? Just wait until November!
Prepare to get bi#ch slapped again!

Obama knew about Russian intelligence interfering before the 2016 election and both he and the intelligence agencies did nothing to stop it or inform the American public.
Obama told the Russian president that things would get more flexible after the 2012 election.
The Democratic Party did nothing about it except go after the constitutional election of President Trump with Hillary paid for “dossier “.
And you all call President Trump a traitor.

“On Wednesday, authorities said Alvarez attacked his wife with a chainsaw while their three young boys were present in their Whittier home. Shortly after the attack, witnesses saw him covered in blood and fleeing in his wife’s car.

Within minutes he crashed that vehicle and stole an SUV that was running at the time. On Thursday, he was arrested in Chula Vista in the stolen vehicle.”…

“A man suspected of attacking his wife with a chainsaw in front of their three children in Whittier is said to have been deported 11 times, according to ICE. … Their records indicated he has been deported 11 times since 2005.”

Deported 11 times since 2005

In other words, eleven times the taxpayers of this nation have sent a battery of officers to detain this individual, eleven times taxpayers have housed, clothed, and fed him for an extended period of time, and eleven times taxpayers have financed a plane ride to his country of origin for him to visit his kin. I’d say he has not just found an ideal place to accomodate his lifestyle, such as it is, it comes with fully paid vacation benefits, as well.

“That being to equate the Democratic Party with MS-13 an international criminal gang.”

There’s a difference?

Explain your answer. Give examples.

slagheap July 19, 2018 at 11:35 AM

in addition to the ” strong and powerful ” lawsuit already wending it’s way through court, the trump foundation is being probed by the state of NY, with a criminal referral possible. given the reams of evidence produced in the lawsuit, criminal charges will likely result. donald, jared, and ivanka are all named in the lawsuit…

Elwood July 19, 2018 at 4:53 PM

” strong and powerful ”

Oh yeah? Says who? Source please.

slagheap July 19, 2018 at 9:43 PM

if you’re referring to the lawsuit, here’s the announcement at the NY attorney general’s website. if you mean the criminal investigation, that’s what i posted above. if you don’t want to plow thru the legalese ( i did, ) both of these stories are posted all over the web in all the usual places, e.g. usa today, nyt, wapo, lawfare, la times. probably politico & the hill, too. everywhere except fox, i imagine.

Elwood July 19, 2018 at 10:38 PM

Nice dancing! Congratulations on answering a question that wasn”t asked.

Now tell us more about “strong and powerful”. Your words? Pretty weak.

slagheap July 20, 2018 at 9:56 AM

Typical. No response from the “all knowing” progressive liberals.

Randy July 19, 2018 at 4:35 PM

The wheels are coming off very fast.

President Donald Trump handed an influential business advocacy group what should have been a historic lobbying victory when he recently rolled out new rules encouraging small businesses to band together to offer health insurance.

But the NFIB, which vigorously promoted association health plans for two decades, now says it won’t set one up, describing the new Trump rules as unworkable. And the NFIB isn’t the only one: Several of the nationwide trade groups that cheered Trump’s new insurance rules told POLITICO they’re still trying to figure out how to take advantage of them and whether the effort is even worth it.

slagheap July 20, 2018 at 11:16 AM

in addition to trump, and among other prominent or notorious names, michael cohen recorded conversations with hannity. the fbi has them, they’ve been ruled permissible, and one way or the other they’ll be made public.

Elwood July 20, 2018 at 4:55 PM

Oh, the irony, the irony!

Now Hannity is being cited as a source for the left.

The end times are at hand.

slagheap July 20, 2018 at 12:45 PM

deep in the criminal complaint against maria butina ( russian spy, ) it is revealed sean hannity advised her how to gain better access to government officials, electoral campaigns, etc.

The sooner hannity is in jail the better off we’ll be

Elwood July 20, 2018 at 5:00 PM

How about putting everyone who is slightly to the right of V. I. Lenin in jail?

Would this make you happy?

HappyPappy July 20, 2018 at 1:03 PM

You nice liberals are salivating hoping Trump will gift you with a sound bite you can distort and lie about. It’s a daily thing.
If he said Russia tampered but it did not impact our election, your fake news media would report, “Trump admits Russian tampering.”
The liars at MSNBC would report, “Trump practically admitted he colluded with Russia to steal the election from Hillary.”
Neither from you nor the leftist fake news media would we hear the second part of Trump’s statement: “…it did not impact our election.”
The same day within hours you liberals would plaster this site with every lie in hopes of winning your false arguments.
That’s all you have; no viable candidate, no accomplishments, only lies and rants.

Silva July 20, 2018 at 2:11 PM

The bigger picture; Trump stands down while Putin wages proxy wars and intimidates small countries to retake and rebuild the USSR. Trump then stands down as Exxon and Rosneft run a pipeline to get Russian oil into Europe. Putin and the Russian Banks will continue to loan Trump money, they will continue to launder money through his “hotels”, “real estate” and “construction”. and there will be a Trump Tower in Moscow before his presidency is up. This traitor sold the United States out. He crapped all over our people and looked either guilty as hell or like a cuckold looser in front of the entire world.

HappyPappy July 20, 2018 at 3:02 PM

Strong words, Silva. Please show us you proof.

Fred P. July 20, 2018 at 2:40 PM

For those that “demand a living wage” for flipping burgers…..

As of 2020, self-service ordering kiosks will be implemented at all U.S. McDonald’s locations. Other chains, including fast-casual brands like Panera and casual-dining brands like Chili’s, have already embraced this trend. Some restaurant concepts have even automated the food-preparation process; earlier this year, NBC News profiled “Flippy,” a robot hamburger flipper. Other upcoming concepts include virtual restaurants which eliminate the need for full-service restaurants (and staff) by only offering home delivery.

Too bad, libs.

AlwaysBePositive July 20, 2018 at 3:28 PM

I’m not sure how you see this as a political ideology issue. The people getting paychecks at these restaurants won’t disappear, and they aren’t all liberal.

Elwood July 20, 2018 at 5:05 PM

See “law of unintended consequences”.

Randy July 20, 2018 at 5:38 PM

This would have happened regardless of the minimum wage. It’s called progress
