Democratic Party sues Russia, Trump campaign and WikiLeaks alleging 2016 campaign conspiracy

The Democratic National Committee filed a multimillion-dollar lawsuit Friday against the Russian government, the Trump campaign and the WikiLeaks organization alleging a far-reaching conspiracy to disrupt the 2016 campaign and tilt the election to Donald Trump.

The complaint, filed in federal district court in Manhattan, alleges that top Trump campaign officials conspired with the Russian government and its military spy agency to hurt Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and help Trump by hacking the computer networks of the Democratic Party and disseminating stolen material found there.

Scott Pruitt Is Now Being Investigated By The House of Representatives, Senate, White House, Office of Management and Budget, Government Accountability Office, and EPA Inspector General

The General Accountability Office has already determined that Pruitt broke laws when he installed a privacy booth at exorbitant expense; the nonpartisan investigator has also been asked to look into the raises Pruitt gave to staff using an obscure legal loophole and his purges of the EPA’s advisory boards.

The House Oversight Committee asked Pruitt for a series of documents and witness interviews spanning many of his scandals.
The House Energy and Commerce Committee is now “seeking information on a flood of ethics questions and lavish spending” by Pruitt.

The Senate Environment and Public Works Committee is investigating Pruitt’s use of multiple emails, and whether he evaded FOIA requests.

The White House said it would probe Pruitt’s relationship with an energy lobbyist who gave him a special deal on his condo rent.

The Office of Management and Budget will investigate Pruitt’s wasteful spending of $43,000 on a privacy booth.

The EPA Office of the Inspector General is currently conducting investigations into Pruitt over (1) his possible violation of anti-lobbying laws (2) his spending on security (3) his expensive privacy booth, and (4A) his travel, a probe which it subsequently (4B) expanded (4C) twice.

Nope, we don’t need a wall.

“City and country governments ignored federal “detainer” requests and released 142 suspected members of MS-13 and other criminal gangs in the eight months up to June 2017, says a report from the Department of Homeland Security to the Senate’s judiciary committee.”

“The alleged East Coast crime boss of the notorious street gang MS-13 has been ordered held without bail at his first court appearance on Long Island, where prosecutors accuse him of having a hand in a wave of violence.”

” ‘Take out a cop’: Police in New York on high alert after notorious street gang M-13 issues chilling order to members”

Pentagon announces 2,000% increase in Russia trolls since Friday

Pentagon spokeswoman Dana White said in Saturday’s Pentagon briefing that there has been a “2,000% increase in Russian trolls in the last 24 hours,” following the coordinated strike against Syria on Friday night.

The bottom line: The problem of Russian actors generating division and conflict among Americans isn’t going away. As Axios’ Sara Fischer and David McCabe reported last year, they aim to sow confusion and capitalize on political divisions. Senator Ben Sasse said in a statement on Saturday that this illustrates what “the wars of the future will look like…The fog of war will not be limited to our situation rooms and battlefields.”

Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s interest in former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort stemmed in part from his suspected role as a “back channel” between the campaign and Russians intent on meddling in the election, a Justice Department lawyer told a judge.

t…in 2015 visa overstays accounted for about 500,000 undocumented entries, coming over the southern borders, @ 170,000.

Why do we need a wall? To bolster the president’s ego maybe, not to effectively reduce illegal immigration.

Rollo Tomasi April 21, 2018 at 5:26 PM

“in 2015 visa overstays accounted for about 500,000 undocumented entries,”

Do you proofread at all? Do you really not know the difference between entering the country legally on a valid visa and staying past the expiration of that visa, and illegally entering the country by sneaking over the border without documentation of any kind?

AlwaysBePositive April 22, 2018 at 2:01 PM

rt…Of course I read, and when I read your response I wonder what creates a difference in your mind? Both are undocumented, please explain how you perceive the difference…

Rollo Tomasi April 22, 2018 at 4:08 PM

ABP – could be the difference is that one group was authorized to enter the country and was at least minimally vetted before doing so. If their visa is currently expired they need to renew or be deported. The other group sneaks across the border and thus has never been here legally. Frankly I’m surprised (although I shouldn’t be) that you need the difference explained to you. What happened to your original response where you accused me of being racist against brown people? Didn’t want to stand by that one? Or did you realize that some of those expired visas might actually belong to brown people, thereby making your accusation nonsense? You brought up expired visas, so does that mean you’re racist if one of them belongs to a Chinese tech employee?

Tell you what – show me evidence of the large numbers of people illegally crossing our northern border, and I’ll advocate for a wall there too. Of course, let’s not forget your original nonsense – that expired visas fall under the category of illegal entries. Two separate problems with different solutions. But of course you know that, don’t you?

Taggit April 25, 2018 at 8:55 PM

Local April 21, 2018 at 5:40 AM

It’s becoming clear that Trump won’t run in 2020

Now, even Trump’s most steadfast allies are quietly admitting that the Southern District of New York’s investigation poses an existential threat to his future, both politically and legally. Trump allies are telling the president his “fixer” could flip for the feds, just like Michael Flynn, Rick Gates and George Papadopoulos. In Washington and across the country, Republicans are sensing the president is a wounded political figure, leading them to withhold their future support or — in one high-profile case — to challenge the president directly.

Democratic party have lost their minds.
Are they so desperate to keep alive their Russia narrative for the midterm elections ?

They have filed a lawsuit against Trump campaign, Russia and Wikileaks.

“Donald Trump has announced he plans to counter-sue the Democrats after learning the party had filed a lawsuit against his campaign, Wikileaks and Russia, over claims that they conspired to disrupt the 2016 U.S. presidential election campaign.”

Hmm, Democrats in a Court answering questions under oath, what could go wrong for them ? ? ?

In lawsuits the “Discovery phase” of the proceedings can be to be polite,

Doubt if the definition of ” is ” will be an issue.

What We Did….. Seems Impossible! I doubt we could accomplish this today. Too many government rules and regulations, and too many effeminate snowflakes, who need a safe place.

During the 3-1/2 years of World War II that started with the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor in December of 1941 and ended with the surrender of Germany and Japan in 1945, “We the People of the U.S.A.” produced the following:

22 aircraft carriers

8 battleships

48 cruisers

349 destroyers

420 destroyer escorts

203 submarines

34 million tons of merchant ships

100,000 fighter aircraft

98,000 bombers

24,000 transport aircraft

58,000 training aircraft

93,000 tanks

257,000 artillery pieces

105,000 mortars

3,000,000 machine guns and

2,500,000 military trucks

We put 16.1 million men in uniform in the various armed services, invaded Africa, invaded Sicily and Italy, won the battle for the Atlantic, planned and executed D-Day, marched across the Pacific and Europe, developed the atomic bomb and, ultimately, conquered Japan and Germany.

It’s worth noting that during the almost exact amount of time, the Obama Administration couldn’t even build a web site that worked!!!

Rollo Tomasi April 24, 2018 at 4:39 PM

“Here in the Divided States of America effective and sensible gun control is impossible.”

Correct, but it has very little to do with the NRA. Rather it’s because hand wringing gun grabbers insist on defining “effective” and “sensible”.

1791 April 25, 2018 at 4:30 PM

I’m a member of the NRA and the CRPA. The NRA was originally founded as encourage and promote marksmanship, promote shooting sports in general, and teach firearms safety for youths. During the 1970’s they created the Institute for Legislative Action whose focus was defending OUR second amendment which is the main reason EVERY American citizen should be a member.

Am I a “gun crazy” for defending my constitutional rights? Let me answer that for you, of course not. I’m a law abiding American citizen living in the greatest nation on Earth, just like Aspirin is.

Effective and sensible gun control isn’t a list of bullet points created by elitist politicians spurned on by some overzealous constituents but rather implementation of our existing laws, a desire to ditch “political correctness”, cooperation by local and state employees to provide the background check system with accurate and up to date information to the data base, the gun owning public to seek proper training and skills application, and MANY other factors that need to be openly discussed among the citizenry.

So if you’d like to have civil discussion without feeling the need to demean organizations and the members that belong to them, I’m in!
Any suggestions on how we should “correct it”?

Venice April 25, 2018 at 8:43 PM

Indeed, let’s solve it the liberal way by punishing everyone who didn’t do it.

Aspirin April 26, 2018 at 9:07 AM

Venice, what “way” would you suggest?

Venice April 26, 2018 at 12:31 PM

Why, it’s simple, aspirin, just take the guns from the bad people. I’m surprised you didn’t think of it. Once their chips are implanted they’ll be easy to find.

Fred P. April 26, 2018 at 2:05 PM

Aspirin has no concept of how to solve the problem – she doesn’t even look at the symptoms.

Like any politician, she looks for the easy way out.
since slick willy lied about sex with “that woman, miss Lewinsky.”
Aspirin wants to eliminate all “scary” looking guns, regardless of their caliber,,, That’s no different than calling all democrats liars,

Go back to “playing doctor.” That MAY be within your limited mental faculties….

Original G April 24, 2018 at 5:55 PM

Pulling the racism card.
Refuge of liberals who paint themselves into a corner.

“Fresno State University professor Randa Jarrar, in an interview that was published on Tuesday, blamed racism for the backlash she received after attacking former first lady Barbara Bush on Twitter the day she died.

Jarrar, who is of Egyptian, Greek and Palestinian heritage, told The Cut that she believes her own race was certainly a factor in the response to her comments.

“Women of color routinely have their tone policed, their justified anger painted as hatred, and their criticism of injustice framed as racism toward white people,” Jarrar told The Cut.

After calling Bush a “racist” and the mother of a “war criminal,” Jarrar received criticism from a number who felt that she had crossed a line and should be fired. She argued back that she was tenured and therefore could not be fired.

Joseph Castro, president of Fresno State, later told the Associated Press that even tenured professors are not immune to the consequences of their actions.

“A professor with tenure does not have blanket protection to say and do what they wish,” he said. “We are all held accountable for our actions. This was beyond free speech. This was disrespectful.”

Has been reported rich alumni are reconsidering amount of money they may give Fresno State.

“‘Women of color routinely have their tone policed, their justified anger painted as hatred, and their criticism of injustice framed as racism toward white people.’ Jarrar told The Cut.”

Oh yeah? White women routinely have THEIR tone policed, THEIR justified anger painted as hatred, and THEIR criticism of injustice framed as racism toward people of color as in Randa Jamar calling Barbara Bush a racist. Double standard at work here, apparently. Ok for her but not anyone else.

Randy April 25, 2018 at 11:00 AM

“I would rarely leave the White House because there’s so much work to be done,” Trump, 69, tells ITK. “I would not be a president who took vacations. I would not be a president that takes time off.”

Taggit April 25, 2018 at 9:01 PM

Without question, I’m sure Trump changed his mind about the vacations when he discovered the utter frustration of serving generously without pay while being flipped off and cursed at by Democrats.

Venice April 25, 2018 at 9:13 PM

The president has NO time off.

Aspirin April 26, 2018 at 9:04 AM

Taggit, so Trump runs away from a fight, or counters with lies instead of factual argument.

Fred P. April 26, 2018 at 3:43 PM

aspirin – As opposed to Obama hiding/sealing all of his records, while proclaiming his administration to be “the most transparent ever…”

Look in the mirror, idiot. If you’re gonna sling $hit, you best make sure that your own plate is perfectly clean. Otherwise, you’re nothing but a naïve hypocrite. .

Fred P. April 26, 2018 at 3:44 PM

And I guess randy has never changed his mind?

C’mon, tell us…..

Either you have and you’re just throwing BS; or you’re claiming that you haven’t – which means you’re just a liar.

Which is it, cupcake??????

JWB April 26, 2018 at 4:15 PM

Lol, Freddy you just crack me up…..

“hiding/sealing all of his records”

I guess you must have seen Trump’s tax return or his college records, or his wife’s immigration records (didn’t he promise that Melania would hold a press conference?). And of course he never paid off his afairs to hide/seal those records”

What a sheep……..

Fred P. April 27, 2018 at 11:29 AM

And jwb (the dnc troll) calls others “sheep”.

Look in the mirror, snowflake. Methinks you’ve been eating too many tide pods or snorting condoms,

Move along, hypocrite.

Aspirin April 26, 2018 at 9:02 AM

We are a Pro-Trump/Anti-Trump country.

Trump has either knowingly fostered division or unknowingly fostered division.

Either way exhibits a massive failure of his leadership and a great danger to our future.

Let’s hope that he will learn what the job of president entails.

4Rollo Tomasi April 26, 2018 at 11:18 AM

So you believe that before this we weren’t a pro-Obama/anti-Obama country? Perhaps the difference you perceive lies in the hysterics of the “anti” crowd during the respective administrations. Like claiming Trump is fascist while constantly proesting in the streets, and failing to see the irony?

Elwood April 26, 2018 at 2:17 PM

The sky is falling!

The sky is falling!

Run for your lives!

The sky is falling!

Original G April 26, 2018 at 3:53 PM

Simple reason Trump was elected, voters are tired of being screwed over by long time deal making career politicians in Congress and Presidents more interested in their look good and legacy than in helping Americans.

Obama had the opportunity with a Democrat majority in Congress to make substantive permanent changes to help Black unemployment and especially Black youth.

He and democrats could have had a place in history up there near Dr. King.

An after two terms what do Black Americans have to remember democrats and President Obama by ? ?

Finally after three consecutive failures we have a President who is making change happen and giving thru his actions hope to Americans.

Randy April 26, 2018 at 3:21 PM

French President speaks better English than the American President.

Fred P. April 27, 2018 at 10:41 AM

And my dog has a higher IQ than randy.

So what?

Randy April 27, 2018 at 1:31 PM

Fred your dog speaks better English than trump

Original G April 26, 2018 at 3:38 PM

Pompeo sworn in as Secretary of State.

Oops chuck schumer and democrat’ plan to stall Senate confirmation of Pompeo blew up in their faces when President Trump didn’t wait and sent him over to N. Korea.

Original G April 26, 2018 at 4:31 PM

If you are up to it, please explain just how collapse of the N. Korean test facilities plays President Trump ??

N. Korea already has means to deliver a nuke and they have proven viability of their nukes. Do you actually believe the Pacific Ocean, distance between Korean and USA matters ? ? ?

Using one of their road mobile launchers in hold of a ship they could sail up of CA open the hatch and launch.

Technology exists,
‘Israel Just Launched A Containerized Ballistic Missile From The Deck Of A Ship’

Rumsfeld commission report July 15, 1998 lays concept out.

As for automated ship tracking,

Randy April 26, 2018 at 5:29 PM

Trump had nothing to do with any sort of “denuclearization,” as he called it in his Twitter rant. North Korea has not backed down and we would be wise to keep in mind that Kim Jong-Un is probably more volatile than our so-called “president.”

Original G April 26, 2018 at 6:42 PM

As far as denuclearizing N. Korea President Trump has everything to do with it.

Perhaps you weren’t around when President Ronald Reagan ordered airstrikes against Libya on April 14, 1986. Those strikes got Muammar Qaddafi’s undivided attention, put him on notice and backed him way down.

President Trump’s strike on Syria chemical weapons and war fighting assets put both Assad and Kim Jong-un on notice.
The bowing, apologizing, teleprompter reading invertebrate is no longer President. Would not be surprised if Iran leaders puckered a bit too.

But why are we even talking about this President Bill Clinton already took care of N. Korea.

Atticus Thraxx April 26, 2018 at 7:26 PM

Thankfully we can leave this in the very capable hands of the president. Who, is to diplomacy, what Danny Thomas was to glass coffee tables.

Dr Jellyfinger April 26, 2018 at 11:05 PM

Thanks to Kanye West’s pro Trump comments, the “Say WHAT?!!!” meter registered it’s highest reading in history today.

Fred P. April 27, 2018 at 10:43 AM

Now Randy’s playing the “expert” on world politics – more proof that randy, local and aspirin are one and the same.

All “three” of you need to go back to “playing doctor.”

Move along, nothing to see except three sore losers…..

Fred P. April 27, 2018 at 10:45 AM

Yes, randy… trump is your president.

Don’t forget that and be sure to remind your schizophrenic friend aspirin.
