Mueller’s team has leveled over 100 criminal charges against 19 people

With new indictments in the Eastern District of Virginia filed by special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s team on Thursday, the scale of alleged wrongdoing by people loosely connected to the campaign of President Trump expanded outward significantly.

To date, Mueller’s team has brought more than 100 criminal counts against 19 different individuals.

Dr Jellyfinger February 23, 2018 at 10:09 PM

But he keeps missing the target!

He went fishing for salmon & caught carp.

It’s like Mueller is Geraldo & Trump is Al Capone’s vault.

And 13 of those charged can’t stop laughing & will never see an American courtroom.

“None of the charges, it’s important to note, tie Trump’s team to Russian interference”

I think they’re being railroaded… but if they are guilty, lock ’em up.

LocaI February 24, 2018 at 2:05 AM

Rick Gates flips on Manafort.

Manafort unnecessarily issues a public statement proclaiming his innocence.

Mueller indicts Manafort on five counts including conspiracy against the US and conspiracy to launder money.

And that’s just from Friday.

Here are more details:

Opening the Trump team can of worms is presenting a rather smelly concoction of lies, deceit, possible crime, and possible prison time.

A rather strange outcome considering Trump’s promising to clean up government.

Original G February 23, 2018 at 7:05 PM

You can’t make this stuff up.
Getting put in jail in Frisco just got stranger.

“San Francisco county jails formally announced they are implementing a policy for transgenders that will respect their gender preferences, house them in the cells of their chosen identity, and offer other gender identity services.

The San Francisco Sheriff’s Department announced Wednesday that inmates who voluntarily identify as transgender, gender variant or non-binary will be able to choose a name and gender identity upon entering the prison. They will also get to determine if a man or woman will search them before they’re admitted into the prison, according to CBS San Fransisco.

Sheriff deputies and prison guards must address inmates according to the name and gender they’ve expressed. Transgender inmates may also request to live in their own 12-person cell with other transgender inmates if they so choose, according to San Francisco Sheriff Vicki Hennessy. Like other gender normative inmates, transgender inmates in San Fransisco county jails, will also be provided with classes, services and training.

“Our number one priority is safety for all: staff, inmates, visitors and service providers,” Hennessy said in a statement, CBS San Fransisco reported. “We thoughtfully and carefully considered and vetted every policy and procedure, which impacts our TGN inmates to ensure they feel protected, respected and have full access to the County Jail’s educational, vocational, recovery and life skills classes and services.” ”

But you said “no one calls it frisco.”

Once again, you find out you can’t speak for everyone.

NunYa February 25, 2018 at 3:38 AM

Well will stuff in Frisco get any weirder?

Maybe cells for things that self-identify as Blue Whales, or Males who love Trees, or heck I’ll just get a copy of NatGeo to see what the choices are today…

FBI ‘investigating whether Russian money went to NRA’s campaign to help elect Donald Trump’

“If the NRA is actually a front for Russian interests and interfered with our elections, actively or passively, then they have undermined the very democratic freedoms they purport to represent. We can only wonder how many true patriots will decide that this is the last straw and give up their NRA memberships.”

The NRA spent a record $55m during the 2016 election cycle.

I do believe that the Russians are thankful to play alongside the NRA however.

I’m enjoying my “crumbs” very much! Nancy Pelosi, Dianne Feinstein, Eric Swalwell and Mark DeSaulnier, why did you all lie and say that it wasn’t going to help us and it would be Armageddon? or is it that you are all so rich that you’ve lost touch and to you it is crumbs.
all I can say is thank you Donald Trump!

Most Americans not getting bigger paychecks in wake of tax overhaul

Just 25 percent of registered voters reported an increase in their pay.

It is a massive windfall for corporations and the wealthiest Americans, and that middle- and lower-income people will not see the same benefits as high-earners.

Nancy Pelosi’s net worth is estimated to be about $43 million. So, ya, to her – it’s crumbs. Nancy is not as sharp as she used to be, so occasionally she slips up and tells the truth and says what she really thinks of the general public.

Elwood February 23, 2018 at 11:53 PM

The right-wing sliming of Douglas High students can’t be ignored. It’s too disgusting for that.

The trashing of these students — whose determination and passion are nothing but admirable — removes a rock to reveal several varieties of maggots. One is the “say anything to get attention” crowd that sees nothing as beneath them. You know their names.

Another, though, are those whose shameful reaction has an undercurrent of fear. These students seem to have the potential to create actual change.

Dr Jellyfinger February 23, 2018 at 10:47 PM

All those people who say the shooter was a bullied kid, do raise a valid question tho…. who was it that bullied him? Surely not those wonderful kids at the meeting who yelled “Murderers” and “I hope you burn” at Marco Rubio and Dana Loesch …. but they never mentioned who the bullies were that helped drive the little psycho to start shooting did they?

Randy February 24, 2018 at 7:38 AM

Let’s hope they heard the crowd. Rubio is doomed in Florida. He won’t be re-elected unless he has some answers. Which he won’t since he’s in the NRAs pocket

Aspirin February 24, 2018 at 8:59 AM

We cannot change human nature. Kids will always bully kids. It is a natural part of growing up.

We can, however, change gun laws and access to guns.

Fred P. February 24, 2018 at 7:04 PM

Aspirin is satisfied with the excuse that kids will always bully other kids. But we need to remove inanimate objects because they’re to blame.

I expect nothing less from you. Blame an inanimate object rather than the person seems to be the hallmark of the party that rejoices in abortions.

So blame the car instead of the drunk driver for killing your child. Blame the spoon for making you fat. Blame the pencil for misspelling words.

You obviously had no parents.

elviss February 24, 2018 at 7:15 PM

Some children are better equipped to withstand bullying than others. Put yourself in this young man’s shoes. His mother died — at his age, his last remaining anchor to any sort of security in life. At a young age he is faced with solving problems (taking care of himself) most of us only face as twenty somethings, and by choice. He and his brother were taken in by neighbors or friends. That couldn’t possibly be stressful, now could it? When he was disciplined for disruptive behavior, he should have immediately been given help. He was, in his way, begging for it. The adults in his life failed him. They treated him as a troublemaker when what he needed was someone to believe in him. I can’t imagine you’d want it to happen again, so why not learn from it?

Greg94528 February 23, 2018 at 7:44 PM

The Florida shooting was inexcusable. But at the same time I wish that other students at that school would have reached out to this troubled young man instead of ostracizing him. He was going through a lot and no one treated him kindly. It’s a shame how cruel kids can be to each other.
Then of course the FBI is to blame because they did not act upon all the tips giving warning of this young man. Had they done so, they could have intervened and gotten him some psychological help and stopped this massacre.!
Lastly this Friday night, I’ve got to give a shout out of thanks to Donald Trump for the rapidly improving condition of American,’s lives! Despite all the hate Trump people ,America’s probably going shine than it has been in a long time… And everyone is going to benefit from it!

Aspirin February 24, 2018 at 8:56 AM

Yes, Warren Buffet’s Berkshire got a $29 billion gift with the new tax law.

Most got just enough to help a little with the grocery bill.

Badge1104 February 24, 2018 at 1:11 PM

Asprin: Warren Buffett is a liberal Democrat so maybe with all the money he’s saving he’ll give it to more liberal Democratic causes. Would that make you happy? Actually most billionaires are liberals now adays.
hey, most everyone I talk to is getting between 50 and $200 a month extra in their paychecks. And even at 50 will pay for an extra dinner out a month or a small vacation trip a year. So don’t knock it. But, in one way we’re still only even because that lie of ObamaCare that instead of saving us, in actuality it cost most of us $2,000 more in medical coverage a year.

slagheap February 24, 2018 at 8:54 PM

current law allowed him to buy 10 guns. he bought 10 guns. that’s not the fault of the FBI, nor the other kids’ fault.

NunYa February 25, 2018 at 3:22 AM

Just like a liberal, blame the victims.

LocaI February 23, 2018 at 9:55 PM

Robert Mueller just flipped his third former Trump aide

Though Gates pleaded not guilty after he was first indicted last October, he’s increasingly been looking at an expensive legal defense with no end in sight and a potential decades-long prison sentence — particularly since Mueller filed a dizzying new set of tax, financial, and bank fraud charges against him and Manafort just yesterday.
https://www.vox.com/2018/2/23/17045226/robert-mueller-flip-rick-gates-russia

Dr Jellyfinger February 23, 2018 at 10:51 PM

That’s the routine …. force them to plead guilty to some lesser charge to avoid being forced to spend themselves into poverty paying for lawyers. Kinda makes you wonder who the good guys are…. if you actually care.

Maybe the FBI can get one of them to make something up about Trump that we can sell to the sheep…like that story time dossier!

Elwood February 23, 2018 at 11:56 PM

It appears that Gates and Manafort are crooks.

And this relates to alleged Russian tampering and colluding how?

Aspirin February 24, 2018 at 8:48 AM

This paints a telling picture of Trump, his associates, his campaign, his credibility, his lack of ability to choose an effective team, a failure of his management.

Elwood February 24, 2018 at 2:07 PM

Aspirin:

Only in your twisted mind.

Rational people can’t stretch that far.

Yogurt February 24, 2018 at 5:27 PM

You really can’t see how Gates and Manafort are related to the Russian tampering?

They aren’t only investigating collusion by the way. If that’s even a real charge.

It’s a criminal investigation into anything that sureaounds the meddeling by Russia. That means anyone who helped them understand American cultures, divides, influence law makers, collide with trump, fund the NRA or launder money.

Collusion may or may not be part of this. What will be part of this is obstruction of justice and money launderering.

Stop listened to just Fox News and start actually reading people who write about just the facts.

Emoluments suit vs. Trump now personal as well as official

The lawsuit, filed in federal court in Maryland, is one of several challenging Trump’s ties to his business ventures and his refusal to divest from them. The suits allege that foreign governments’ use of Trump’s hotels and other properties violates the Constitution’s emoluments clause, which bans the president’s acceptance of foreign gifts and money without Congress’ permission.

Trump will be in office for a second term, that is a no brainer! How Long will Rachel Madcow keep up her rhetoric? Anderson Cooper has a long road ahead…. The Hate the Left has for Trump is unreal! And the hate for Melania Trump….. It’s going to cause Dianne Feinstein to age at a rapid pace,!!

You watch Rachel? How interesting. I don’t have time.

Yogurt February 24, 2018 at 5:30 PM

Trump hasn’t really done that much. The tax bill is great for business and people who run them.

He couldn’t get health care done and he can’t seem to get a grip on immigration

He’s managed to anger the entire Middle East outside of Israel, and even Israel is about to get rid of their leader too.

The economy was left over from Obama and even after Trump somehow thinks that a good economy is only tied to the stock market, it posted record losses.

He’s trying and he’s playing to his base, I will give him credit for that, but he hasn’t really done much positive

Captain Bebops February 24, 2018 at 9:44 AM

NunYa February 25, 2018 at 3:18 AM

Local needs to jump in here, no wait Aspirin his other secret identity, already has. LOL

Bill Cutting February 24, 2018 at 11:26 AM

So wait a minute local and aspirin you do know that those officers that first arrived on the scene didn’t even enter the school and allowed this kid to continue his massacre? see you want people to handover their guns to be protected by police who just sit on the scene and don’t do their jobs and stop the perpetrator right away? yeah makes brilliant sense to take citizens legally purchased guns away because you feel and I emphasize the word feel that not all of us should have them Because of one mental case and let’s not even start analyzing the underlining cause of a lot of these shooting tragedies which if you look at the pictures of most of these people they look crazy And are on certain mental drugs. The reality here is the left just wants to take away the rights guns. They will use whatever measure whatever tragedy whatever they can such as emotional content that you see pouring out of the media to fool the average low IQ American. If you don’t want your kid to be even threatened with the chance of being shot at a public school then homeschool your child. That’s the safest option. Can you really properly vet the stranger that teaches your child? Do you want your child to be a lemming with the basic mediocre public school curriculum which is borderline socialism these days.

Aspirin February 24, 2018 at 10:35 PM

I have never advocated for “taking people’s guns away”.
I have always advocated for sensible and effective gun control.

The paranoid right always lumps gun control in with “taking people’s guns away” and misleading people about the meaning of the Second Amendment.

We don’t have a “right” to own guns (unless we are a well-regulated militia) any more than we have a “right” to buy groceries.

That has NEVER been the objective of gun control. Democrats own guns too.

NunYa February 25, 2018 at 3:16 AM

Funny how those who want to take away all guns always start by saying “I have never advocated for taking away all guns”.

Fred P. February 25, 2018 at 4:10 PM

Aspirin, you STILL don’t know what “well-regulated” means in terms of the US Code and the definition of militia.

You DON’T know the difference between a clip and a magazine.

You DON’T know the difference between calibers and what constitutes “high power .”

You DON’T know the difference between an assault rifle or an assault weapon….let alone what “AR” means….

You do NOT practice law.

Do NOT lecture anyone about firearms or the Second Amendment.

And yes, the liberals HAVE been attempting to slowly remove guns from the citizens. Do NOT lie! They’ve ALL been stating “ you don’t need those…”, therefore resulting in a slow erosion of gun rights.

Don’t EVER tell me what I “need.”

Now let the name-calling by the idiot liberals begin.

Fred P. February 26, 2018 at 6:47 AM

Interesting that EVERY ONE of aspirin’s five sentences is a complete LIE.

Especially when using the terms “never” and “always”.

Bill Cutting February 24, 2018 at 11:37 AM

Sure Captain Bee hops like your progressivism (cultural Marxism) has been so great. You liberal Democrats crack me up godless spineless and weak. That’s why you want to take peoples guns because you know that eventually when the system collapses ( and it will collapse this is unsustainable you can’t have working classes taking care of parasitical classes long term it’s dysgenic) you’ll be up the creek without a paddle. You just want to disarm the right that’s all this is about because you know if it came down to a showdown like some sort of Civil War you will lose bad. The sad part is you can’t even realize that you’re being brainwashed by the media and that includes MSNBC Facebook NBC ABC CBS even FOXNews is biased everything you see in the media is socially engineering your tiny little brain into parroting their narratives I feel sorry for you to be so weak minded

Captain Bebops February 24, 2018 at 1:13 PM

And I bet you can’t wait to live in a feudal society as a serf? We’re almost there.

Capitalism breeds inequality. The experiment was a failure. You might be surprised to find that I think we can come to terms with something better that both sides can agree on. But we really don’t need any stinkin’ billionaire narcissistic money junkies who mostly got there by accident and certainly not any “hard work” (the vision of which is quite laughable).

Is CA Democrat party kicking Dianne Feinstein to the curb?

“Before U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein could finish her speech at the California Democratic Party convention Saturday, the music began playing to indicate she had used her allotted time.

She kept talking. The music got louder. “I guess my time is up,” Feinstein conceded as what sounded like a 1940’s movie score continued playing.

Without missing a beat, supporters of her opponent, State Sen. Kevin de León echoed her statement in a chant: “Your time is up! Your time is up!,” a not so subtle reference to Feinstein’s 25 years in the U.S. Senate.”

It’s their future, us old folks don’t have that much time left. I think many young folks were afraid of running for office because you have to be a “saint” or your past will be discovered. According to Schaaf, she learned of the raids from credible sources who say the Immigration and Customs Enforcement is preparing to conduct a sweep in the Bay Area.”

Democrat Politicians behaving like spoiled defiant preteens have succeeded in focusing attention of ICE on CA. Rather than protecting dreamers and other non citizens they have focused attention on them.

Dreamers might as well be wearing bright neon glow in the dark vests that say “Arrest Me” ! ! !

That’s what they get for trusting Democrat politicians who would rather stage an in your face anti Trump temper tantrum to get free face time on TV.

Shopper traffic has been declining for the first time in years, ever since the company issued a statement in April, saying transgender customers were free to use whichever bathroom they wanted at their store locations.” …

“Overall this year, same-store transactions are down 7.2 per cent to $16.2billion.

The impact of the boycott shouldn’t come as a surprise for Target. When they announced the decision to let transgender customers use the bathroom of their identified sex, more than 1.4million people signed a pledge to stop the new policy. ”

One of the responsibilities of being a citizen of the USA, which some no longer strive for, is to be accurately informed.

Too many liberals allow themselves to believe what liberal media minions and democrat politicians spew. If one pays attention, identical words and combination of words are often used by them.

Liberals need reflect on what a mass murder of last Century said,

Former Wharton Professor: ‘Trump Was the Dumbest G*ddamn Student I Ever Had’ http://bit.ly/2zlDUyS

The late professor William T. Kelley taught marketing at Wharton School of Business and Finance, University of Pennsylvania, for 31 years, ending with his retirement in 1982. Bill was one of my closest friends for 47 years when we lost him at 94 about six years ago. He would have been 100 this year.

Donald J. Trump was an undergraduate student at Wharton for the latter two of his college years, having graduated in 1968.

Professor Kelley told me 100 times over three decades that “Donald Trump was the dumbest goddam student I ever had.” I remember his emphasis and inflection — it went like this: “Donald Trump was the dumbest goddamn student I ever had.” Kelley told me this after Trump had become a celebrity, but long before he was considered a political figure. Kelley often referred to Trump’s arrogance when he told the story that Trump came to Wharton thinking he already knew everything.

The president has frequently bragged that he was a great student at a great school (Wharton). Thus, the public is entitled to a contrary view from somebody who was there (Dr. Kelley), and I faithfully report it here.

Bill Kelley was one smart cookie. His textbook was standard in his time in the then-new field of “marketing intelligence” and the necessity of using computers and databases to manage it. (See onlinelibrary.wiley.com which credits Bill for coining the quoted phrase.)

Kelley’s view seems to be shared by other University of Pennsylvanians. See thedp.com, from the Daily Pennsylvanian, stating:

Another biographer, Gwenda Blair, wrote in 2001 that Trump was admitted to Wharton on a special favor from a “friendly” admissions officer. The officer had known Trump’s older brother, Freddy.

Trump’s classmates doubt that the real estate mogul was an academic powerhouse.

“He was not in any kind of leadership. I certainly doubt he was the smartest guy in the class,” said Steve Perelman, a 1968 Wharton classmate and a former Daily Pennsylvanian news editor.

Some classmates speculated that Trump skipped class, others that he commuted to New York on weekends. . . .

* * *

1968 Wharton graduate Louis Calomaris recalled that “Don … was loath to really study much.”

Calomaris said Trump would come to study groups unprepared and did not “seem to care about being prepared.”

Thanks and R.I.P., Bill Kelley! The words still ring in my ears: “Donald Trump was the dumbest goddamn student I ever had.”

“CNN contributor Van Jones has taken to Facebook with a video in which he warns that Trump is likely to win the election because of his mastery of the new social media landscape of today. This might be true, but his electoral math is more interesting:

“70 percent of African Americans have a horrible view of Donald Trump,” Jones continued. “In order for the Democrats to win the White House they don’t have to get 50 percent of the black vote or 60, or 70, or 80, or 90, Democrats in order to win historically need 90 to 92 percent of the black vote. If only 70 percent don’t like Donald Trump, that means 30 percent are open to his argument. If he gets half of those, he’s president.”

Let this sink in slowly. Ensuring that Democrats continue to receive black votes in a monolithic block, it is in their interest for blacks to remain poor and resentful …”

Far be it from Democrats to think there are any consequences to any behavior one takes in life for which taxpayers aren’t ultimately responsible. In a bid to remove any possibility they might demonstrate a natural and healthy human tendancy toward differing opinions, the Democratic Party has refused to support the re-election bid of Democratic Illinois Representative Dan Lipinski. Lipinski’s opposition to taxpayer-funded abortion has put him at odds with his own party’s desire for a liberal one-size-fits-all platform. Lipinski voted to fund military sex-change operations, and dropped his oposition to gay marriage, but it wasn’t enough. His opposition to taxpayer-funded abortion got him booted from the list of candidates the Democratic Party will support even though he has already served two years in the Illinois Congress.

No, SCOTUS didn’t set back Trump on DACA
By Thomas Lifson
Yesterday’s news that the Supreme Court won’t bypass the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in considering the stay on President Trump’s end of President Obama’s DACA program was entirely procedural, and not substantive opposition. The Trump administration argued that time was of the essence, so the Supremes should act. But the Supreme Court has an institutional bias against such shortcuts, and for good reason. The appeals courts exist to lessen the case load of SCOTUS, and SCOTUS needs to guard its time.

This is normal and to be expected, and even probably desirable from the standpoint of the long game.
That’s not an unusual ruling – it would be unusual for the Supreme Court to step in to prevent a ruling from the courts of appeals. As NBC News notes:

The Supreme Court has agreed only about a dozen times in the past century to take a case immediately and bypass the federal appeals courts, usually involving a national emergency, such as nationwide strikes in the steel and coal industries. … Monday’s action by the Supreme Court leaves the DACA challenge pending before the California appeals court, where it is in the very early stages. The Justice Department has said it would take at least another year to get back to the Supreme Court for a decision on DACA’s future.

In terms of political tactics, there may be an advantage to Trump:

[T]he Supreme Court’s rejection is actually a win for the Trump administration politically, too. That’s because the Trump administration will not have to start deporting DREAMers – so no nasty headlines about Trump cruelty. And meanwhile, the Trump administration will be able to claim to its supporters that it did everything in its power to stop DACA, but was thwarted by leftist courts. In essence, Trump will be able to leave DACA in place while claiming he’s attempted everything to stop DACA. That, of course, isn’t true. The Trump administration didn’t bother asking the Supreme Court for a temporary stay of the lower court’s ruling – good evidence that the administration doesn’t actually want to start deportations.

Your vile hate and profound ignorance becomes evident again, aspirin.

Fred who are you? I’m hoping your comments will reflect this in the future. It has not in the past

“Just because someone reads something you don’t agree with doesn’t make them (or it) wrong.“

Fred P. February 27, 2018 at 11:29 AM

Randy – let’s try again….. I’ll repeat what I said.

I thought liberals were supposed to be tolerant of others’ views – you know, espousing tolerance, diveristy, inclusion, etc…. Why do you (and aspirin, randy and alwaysbepositive – and others) insist on personally insulting others that you don’t know – based solely on what they’ve posted?

If you are truly a liberal, then your actions demonstrate your hypocrisy.

I’ve never claimed to be a liberal/democrat. My point is that the liberals here (therefore assocaiting themselves with the claims of tolerance, diversity, inclusion, etc…) have NOT been doing so. Hence, the hypocrisy.

In the future, please read/quote the enire post and not selected sentences to support your opinions. noticve you didn’t refute my claims; ergo, I was right.

Got it now?

AlwaysBePositive February 27, 2018 at 11:57 AM

fp…Your ‘righteous’ indignation is misplaced. Here is a list (just from this thread, forget your rich history of this) where you name call. Wouldn’t you agree that this proves you are a hypocrite? Pay close attention to your final quote.

“You obviously had no parents.”
” idiot liberals”
“Given your tirades, you would have had any kind of medical license revoked in less than 30 seconds.”
“Your questions here are nothing more than a waste of bandwidth”
“Go dry your tears, sonny.”
“Idiot….”

“Why do you (and aspirin, randy and alwaysbepositive – and others) insist on personally insulting others that you don’t know – based solely on what they’ve posted?”

Next case.

Fred P. February 27, 2018 at 4:04 PM

@abp – and note that I never claimed to be a democrat/liberal embracing “diversity, tolerance, inclusion.”

Yet you do – and yet you DON’T tolerate others. That’s hypocrisy.

Bye, bye…. “alwaysbepositive.”

More proof of democrat illegal activity –
100,000 non-citizens registered to vote in Pennsylvania

“February 26, 2018: The Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) filed a lawsuit today against the Pennsylvania Department of State for failing to disclose a reported 100,000 non-citizen registered voter records under federal law (PILF v. Torres et. al. 1:18-cv-00463).
In summary, the Pennsylvania Department of State (DOS) refused the PILF’s rights to inspect or be furnished documents related to non-citizen registered voters either reporting their own unlawful activities or discovered thanks to a joint study with the Department of Transportation (PennDOT). The latter effort has reportedly revealed 100,000 cases of non-citizens currently registered to vote in the Commonwealth. The DOS’ actions constitute an apparent violation of the National Voter Registration Act of 1993.”

Surely California can beat that number!
Lie, cheat, steal, and even murder, there’s nothing democrats won’t do to gain power.

Thomas Binion, director of congressional and executive branch relations at Heritage, said that Trump has implemented 64 percent of the “unique policy recommendations” from the group.

At this stage of his presidency, Reagan had completed 49 percent of the Heritage policy recommendations.”

“With the passage of the GOP tax bill this week, the Trump administration has scored 81 major achievements in its first year, making good on campaign promises to provide significant tax cuts, boost U.S. energy production, and restore respect to the United States, according to the White House.

And along the way, President Trump even outdid his own expectations and slashed at least 11 major legacy items of former President Barack Obama, including cracking down on the open border, slowing recognition of communist Cuba and effectively killing Obamacare by ending the mandate that everyone have health insurance or face a tax.

According to the White House, the 81 accomplishments are in 12 major categories and include well over 100 other minor achievements.”

These days you need to do your own research because ownership of American media is too concentrated. Held by huge companies more interested in ratings numbers so they can charge more for advertising than if they were reporting facts.

Facts don’t generate viewer numbers. If some producers of the talking heads could get away with it, wouldn’t put it past to scream fire in a crowded theater for higher ratings.

Forty five years ago when taking journalism and broadcasting classes facts, accuracy and truth mattered when doing a piece. For many in media these days when putting together a package they strive for controversy, shock value and validating the political BENT of those who pay them.

A coalition of 20 U.S. states sued the federal government on Monday over Obamacare, that was forced on the majority of Americans who didn’t want it, claiming the overbearing heavy-handed law was no longer constitutional after the repeal last year of its requirement that forced people to have health insurance or pay a fine.

“Led by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and Wisconsin Attorney General Brad Schimel, the lawsuit said that without the individual mandate, which was eliminated as part of the Republican tax law signed by President Donald Trump in December, Obamacare was unlawful.”

“The U.S. Supreme Court already admitted that an individual mandate without a tax penalty is unconstitutional,” Paxton said in a statement. “With no remaining legitimate basis for the law, it is time that Americans are finally free from the stranglehold of Obamacare, once and for all,” he said.

Randy February 27, 2018 at 5:53 PM

Gun violence in the USA is embedded in our culture.

Not too long ago Westerns were hugely popular entertainment. They taught us that the six-gun was the tool of justice and revenge and its use was frequently necessary due to the lack of law enforcement in small towns and out on the plains.

As kids we were impressed at the idea that a gun was the prime solver of problems in early western society. And so it came to pass that a gun was as necessary as aspirin and so it all began.

The “arms” in the Constitution and the six-gun and lever action Winchester rifle are a far cry from an AR 15 able to fire 30 rounds as fast as one can pull the trigger.

While it is true that banning AR 15s will not end the epidemic of gun violence across the USA it will at least take one tool away from those trying to massacre as many people as possible in a school or classroom or a concert in Las Vegas.

Original G February 28, 2018 at 3:41 PM

Which westerns did you watch? Ones I recall portrayed bad people as those without morals or empathy for their fellow man and firearms were used successfully to defeat that evil.

Something progressive liberal democratic politicians conveniently and I believe probably intentionally they announced to all the world and to rabid mental defective mass shooters that America’s school children were easy targets and undefended.

Have posted it twice now, which Senator introduced the bill which created fun free zones? (hint October 27, 1990)

Democrats making CA safe ? ? ? ?
But for WHO ???

Original G February 28, 2018 at 6:43 PM

So, does it upset you that elected Democrat politicians who are supposed to be public servants are giving advance warning to convicted criminal illegals ?

In Fiscal Year 2017, ICE arrested 20,201 aliens throughout California – 81 percent of whom were convicted criminals.

Have lived all my life in CA and this is definitely no longer the Democrat party I witnessed and followed growing up.

Fred P. March 1, 2018 at 6:05 AM

…100 illegal aliens, described as “law-abiding…”

Well, which is it??????? Can’t be both!

More proof that the Democrat party is screwed up.

Did you idiot lunatic liberals change the rules regarding loans too?

Venice, A loan may be something you and I would pay back, but it does not work like that for djt. I do not know much about Kusnner, but he has meetings with bank ceo s in the White House and gets 500 million in loans for his struggling business… Sounds bananna republicy, conflict of interesty to me. And it is part of why he cannot have access to our country s most sensitive secrets. He has a lot of vulnerabilities.

Original G March 1, 2018 at 3:18 PM

Official unemployment rate is the U-3 measure which is from Table A-15. Alternative measures of labor underutilization put out each month by U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
“U-3 Total unemployed, as a percent of the civilian labor force.”

The U-6 measurement is a more accurate reflection of conditions.
“U-6 Total unemployed, plus all persons marginally attached to the labor force, plus total employed part time for economic reason”.

Couple of reasons Democrats don’t want a secure border, each time there is an amnesty they gain new voters.
But the main reason Democrats want unchecked migration is to ensure those who give them large campaign contributions have a continuous flow of cheap exploitable labor so they can maximize their profits.

A close second is his spectacular comb over which incidentally is advertising his overblown ego and a fear of his own appearance.

ATLANTA (AP) — Pro-gun Georgia lawmakers Thursday took revenge on Delta for crossing the National Rifle Association, killing a proposed tax break on jet fuel that would have saved the airline millions.
Delta, which is based in Atlanta and has 33,000 employees in Georgia, would have been the prime beneficiary of the tax break, estimated to be worth at least $38 million a year to airlines.
Ha!
