Oh bless his gentle soul. I hope he’s okay.

Would you say that if he killed a family member driving drunk.

Nutcreek Frontier February 18, 2018 at 10:22 AM

That’s going to be a little awkward if that is his insurer

This poor business just had a car go through their fence in December that almost went into the home I own. Good thing my daughter wasn’t in the bedroom at the time because the car was within one foot of coming through the wall. Grandpa was teaching his 13 year old granddaughter how to drive. His insurance company just repaired the fence

You may want to consider installing a few concrete bollards behind your fence near your daughter’s bedroom.

Or some aesthetically pleasing boulders.

Is that building made of paper?

Drove by... February 18, 2018 at 12:30 PM

Drove by earlier and the car looked like it had new dealer paper plates.

Chris February 18, 2018 at 12:33 PM

Thank goodness no one was working

RunnerDope February 18, 2018 at 12:47 PM

Babel Lane ends abruptly at Clayton Rd. with little warning, other than a small sign, a sidewalk, a tree, and a building.

E February 18, 2018 at 11:50 PM

…and signal lights.

RunnerDope February 19, 2018 at 2:06 PM

That would have made the sarcasm too obvious. 🙂

Badge1104 February 18, 2018 at 12:56 PM

Well at least he had his lights on.

foothillsguy February 18, 2018 at 1:04 PM

Insurance company building…does anybody know which one? Insurance Agent 2000 is in that area, they are my broker.

Oh NO! Thanks, RunnerDope.

My family owns the building and the business that was hit! The driver was drunk, and hit our building at 70 mpg!! So no, our building isn’t made of paper, he hit it that hard! We have a huge mess to get cleaned up and a lot of repairs. Yes, we have insurance! Hopefully the driver does too. We will be closed to walk ins most of this week, but will be open for business via phone.

Mark February 18, 2018 at 8:30 PM

I think you need to put some poles cemented well into the ground so it won’t happen again. I seen him sitting on the sidewalk looking stupid and I could not believe it. Good thing nobody was walking a dog or jogging that time of morning like I usually see at that hour when I come home from work. So sad!

John February 21, 2018 at 7:11 AM

Hit it at 70MPH and no injuries reported. I dont think so.

chuckie the troll February 18, 2018 at 2:02 PM

“Ocifer…that building was swerving all or the place before I hit it!”

This is one of those rare stories where the headline actually matches the story. He really did drive into it. Hope the insurance company had good insurance.

Bipitybobityboo February 18, 2018 at 2:56 PM

Probably high on pot

RunnerDope February 18, 2018 at 3:15 PM

Thanks for the conjecture. The building owner says he was drunk.

Mark February 18, 2018 at 8:32 PM

SMH, drunk! did you see the caption, drunk!

Shaffir February 18, 2018 at 3:17 PM

He didn’t even have to summon his State Farm agent, he was already there.

Cowellian February 18, 2018 at 3:39 PM

Like a good neighbor, . . .

Antler February 19, 2018 at 2:41 PM

Cowellian is first!!!

Mika February 18, 2018 at 3:20 PM

My bet it was alcohol, not pot.

JazzMan February 18, 2018 at 4:54 PM

That’s what the article said. 🙄

RunnerDope February 19, 2018 at 2:09 PM

The article said DUI. I think the influence can be alcohol, prescription drugs, pot, etc.

Whew...!!! February 19, 2018 at 3:23 AM

My State Farm agent is directly across the street.

Serious? February 19, 2018 at 3:03 PM

And they say guns are the problem when we see a story like this nearly every week in this area…..It is just luck that these awful drunks do not kill someone every single time.
