108RS is 10-8

Fidget December 8, 2017 at 8:29 PM

Police lost the vehicle…of course they did…

Mr. Fixit December 8, 2017 at 8:39 PM

How can you lose a vehicle?? Old saying…”you can’t outrun Motorola.”
Just asking…

J. December 8, 2017 at 8:40 PM

Go back to Crown Vics.

Dawg December 8, 2017 at 10:54 PM

Ford discontinued the Crown Vic Police Interceptor in 2011.

Dirk_Patrick December 8, 2017 at 8:48 PM

See you at home you wonderful people

Crazytech58 December 8, 2017 at 9:03 PM

How do you out run police ?? With the technology we have these days, radio’s, freeway camera’s, air support, off ramps are not that close together….. amazes me how many get away in sub par performance vehicles…..

Me Say December 8, 2017 at 11:03 PM

By driving on the opposite side of the road. They have to abandon chase.

Elwood December 8, 2017 at 9:20 PM

East bound on Hiway 4

What a surprise!

Elwood December 8, 2017 at 9:22 PM

Concord has become the happy hunting ground for the indigenous population of East County.

Elwood December 8, 2017 at 9:23 PM

We’re doing our Christmas shopping

In good old Concord this year!

Fidget December 8, 2017 at 9:32 PM

Yes you can outrun Motorola, even the helicopter…and people know it, I even know it from my street racing days…

Mama cowell December 8, 2017 at 9:33 PM

What’s up with the scanner tonight again off-line

Person December 8, 2017 at 9:36 PM

Who are they chasing now? It’s 9:30 and the police helicopter is circling Treat….AGAIN!

Cyco Miko December 8, 2017 at 9:48 PM

Time to put up some cameras!

PH Dad December 8, 2017 at 10:00 PM

Fit the ghetto bird with some hellfires on hard points.

Maryanne lynn December 8, 2017 at 10:23 PM

Again, Paper plates, highway 4, lost them, no kidding, deja vu….

Fidget December 8, 2017 at 11:05 PM

@ Crazytech58 who said “amazes me how many get away in sub par performance vehicles…..”
It’s the police that have the sub performance vehicles. Their SUVs handle like crap and are underpowered for the 2.5+ tons they are dragging.
The only advantage cops have is their radios, their vehicles are their downfall, and I mean all if them.

chuckie the troll December 8, 2017 at 11:19 PM

Shoot to kill all criminals who attempt to outrun law enforcement. Automatic death sentence.

Badge1104 December 9, 2017 at 9:04 AM

I agree!
it would save good Society a lot of grief and money!

BoycottTheCircus December 9, 2017 at 6:21 PM

You must have forgotten, it is ok to be a criminal in CA and don’t forget an illegal alien murderer, so of course neither one of them will be shot..

Amy December 8, 2017 at 11:26 PM

Weren’t they going to install cameras in the freeway?

FiveOh December 8, 2017 at 11:46 PM

You out run the police when the Helicopter isn’t up yet and people don’t pull over to the right for emergency vehicles as they are required to do. It was a vehicle burglary folks. The cops will try, but to what extent do you want them to continue? If the thieves crash into you and kill a family member, then the cops are the bad guys for not backing off. We can only hope karma will come around to this group. Even if they were caught, what would our criminal justice system in CA do to them? Haven’t the uninformed voters de-criminalized vehicle burglaries yet as well anyway?

Clasping Forehead December 9, 2017 at 2:08 AM

Let’s ease the focus back over to the Willows and require them (or county or city) to put up a high security wall (with those out-facing slanted barbed wire military- base-style tops) between the shopping center and the creek right-of-way/vagrant habitat.
This criminal infestation has been a problem for many years, the vandalism, burglary, and threat of mugging probably even major reasons why Elephant Bar closed.

Shoulda Coulda December 9, 2017 at 10:13 AM

When we found out Elephant Bar was
reserving food off customers plates we
stopped going there. I get enough leftovers
at home.

Silva December 9, 2017 at 12:01 PM

My boy used to want family Sunday dinner there, Shoulda Coulda. My mom and I humored him, though we didn’t like never hear ourselves over the din and awful acoustics in there, even when shouting. That was the last straw though. When I told the boy, he said “Why do you think I haven’t asked to go back for the past three weeks?” So disgusting. I still can’t believe anyone would ever go there after that.

Ian December 9, 2017 at 6:03 AM

Because having auto sales places print out temps would be sooooo hard….

Nickynick December 9, 2017 at 9:14 AM

2019 the DMV has a suprise for all of us!

TIFOKCIS December 9, 2017 at 6:35 AM

East bound Hwy 4.

We just arn’t doing enough for them.

Pac islander December 9, 2017 at 8:05 AM

This is why we need to make generic paper plates illegal. How hard would it be to have each auto sales shop generate a temp number that is laser printed onto a plate sized piece of plastic. It would include the sales date .

All these people driving around with paper plates to buy pass cameras and cops.
If your running a paper plate, it should be PC for a stop.

I know inknow… that’s racist… just like every other thing that enforces personal accountability…

BoycottTheCircus December 9, 2017 at 6:18 PM

Exactly! Other states do it but of course not CA

anon December 9, 2017 at 8:31 AM

The suspects turned off their lights so it was hard to see them driving on Hwy 4. The Cops have to drive with regards to the safety of citizens. The criminals don’t care.

anon December 9, 2017 at 9:04 AM

It’s funny how when the suspects get away this place loads up with comments on how the police failed. When they don’t cancel the pursuit, then people on here complain that they were being reckless by chasing the suspects. No winning.

Person December 9, 2017 at 9:56 AM

Exactly! If they are so great at chasing down and capturing bad guys, then why aren’t they are doing it? They could completely solve this probelm of scumbags getting away with it.

chuckie the troll December 9, 2017 at 9:05 AM

It’s hard to outrun a good RPG, or even a few 5.56 rounds.

ConstantReader December 9, 2017 at 11:04 AM

Some vehicle chases become too dangerous to continue both for other people on the road (or even pedestrians) or for the Officers trying to follow the criminals. Some criminals have no regards for safety of anyone.

Even if temporary paper licences were not allowed, it is so easy to steal peoples licence plates off their registered vehicles. That would just increase. Also I’ve seen vehicles with no plates at all (including none on the vehicle and no temp paper in the windshield).

WC December 9, 2017 at 11:07 AM

Why bother? Judging by the police reports all they ever do is report it.

Kirkwood December 9, 2017 at 11:31 AM

I saw that car downtown Concord last week. I’m suspicious of all cars with paper plates, I check to see if it looks factory new and if the driver matches the car.

anon December 9, 2017 at 1:51 PM

My neighbor drives daily in his old Mitsubishi without plates and never gets stopped. He has a no bail warrant for his arrest for driving on a suspended license. The warrant is over a year old.

BoycottTheCircus December 9, 2017 at 6:16 PM

I’m confused.. Why are they chasing the vehicle? Last I knew it is ok to be a criminal and it is ok to be an illegal alien murderer in CA! #gottalovecalifornia

Fig Newton December 9, 2017 at 6:20 PM

Those fake paper plates are coming to a end next year , the dealer will have official temp plates issued by the dealer ! I’m sick of these baggy pant thugs who have no CDL , no ins , and those fake plastic inserts , I’m thankful we have Concord PD to apprehend these dirt bags !

ConcordMike December 11, 2017 at 10:52 AM

If people wouldn’t leave valuables in their cars, this post would never have happened. Take justice into your own hands – Don’t Become a Victim.

Kentucky Derby December 11, 2017 at 12:10 PM

Concord Mike – I totally agree. Unfortunately, too many illogical people think that mindset is blaming the victim.
