“ABC News issued a correction Friday on a report published earlier in the day that stated former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn was instructed by President Trump to contact Russians while Trump was still a candidate.

Instead, the “clarification” noted that Trump’s request came after the election – a significant detail as Trump would have been transitioning from campaign mode to preparing for the start of his administration.

“A clarification tonight on something one of Flynn’s confidants told us and we reported earlier today,” Brian Ross said during ABC News’ “World News Tonight” on Friday. “He said the president had asked Flynn to contact Russia during the campaign. He’s now clarifying that, saying according to Flynn, candidate Trump asked him during the campaign to find ways to repair relations with Russia and other hot spots, and then after the election…”

Joe December 1, 2017 at 7:13 PM

Flynn singing like a birdie. That crook is my hero today. Hopefully this will be the beginning of getting Trump out of office. Bye bye baby!!!!

Original G December 1, 2017 at 7:51 PM

“On Friday, Michael Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to FBI agents about making contact with Russian Ambassador Kislyak during the transition period. In a stunning twist, the Trump White House revealed to CNN that the calls were approved by the Obama administration.”

Greg94528 December 1, 2017 at 7:51 PM

So Flynn is indicted for lying to the FBI. Watch your celebrations you Democrats, because Hillary Clinton has told Mega lies to the FBI and she’s next!!!! but is going to stick against her! Watch out for what you wish for. Nothing will be found against Trump but everything is going to be found against Hillary and the leaders of the Democratic Party!

CSS December 1, 2017 at 7:59 PM

How about a referendum to make California assembly and senate member become part time employees. They have too much time to come up with illogical and nonsensical legislation that becomes self serving.

Badge1104 December 1, 2017 at 7:59 PM

I used to be a Democrat and I voted for Obama the first time. but after seeing all the lies and Corruption and how the American citizen was worse off, I voted for Trump! the unemployment is down the economy is booming I got my first raise in years and soon crime will be going down too. plus the world will become a more stable safe place thanks to Trump’s leadership yes as brash as he is at times. I think the Democratic party will be a party of the past as all of their liberal policies and social agendas have failed miserably. worse they’re not wanting to change it but have the pedal to the metal in that same wrong direction. They’re going to lose most all their supporters except for the real nuts and kooks.

Another illegal deported to Mexico TWENTY times has been sentenced to 35 years up in Oregon. He was charged this go around with “… first-degree sex abuse, first-degree attempted sex abuse, first-degree sodomy, first-degree burglary, two counts of first-degree kidnapping, two counts of first-degree robbery and two counts of second-degree assault.”

Oh an he spent time in progressive liberal California too,
“In California, his conviction record includes:
2008 – Burglary
2010 – U.S. alien found in U.S. following deportation;
2014 – Parole violation
2015 – Battery, theft, and obstructing a public officer
2016 – Illegal entry into the U.S.

“Defendant has entry/removal from United States to/from Mexico 20 times with at least 5 probation violations from re-entry,” according to court documents filed in March 2017.”

New Mueller Document: Flynn Did Not Act Alone

Flynn’s guilty plea reveals he did not act alone and agrees to cooperate with Mueller turning over “all evidence of crimes.” What happens next with a White House staff “blindsided” and on edge?

The unborn children part of the republican tax bill is bad for everyone

TIFOKCIS December 2, 2017 at 6:17 AM

Trump vs Everyone.

Trump wins.

It makes sense to me December 2, 2017 at 8:48 AM

Hillary is a liar liar pants on fire. Her time is coming, tick tock tick tock lock her up !

Yogurt December 2, 2017 at 9:14 AM

Trump has put the absolute worst people in charge of federal government positions and someone is saying the Democrats are corrupt?

And someone keeps harping on Hilary, who cares about her? She’s not president.

trumps administration is in the hot seat because they are in power. Stop using the “whataboutism” argument to somehow try to justify the lack of integrity and morals and general understanding of how government and the works works of this current administration.

The problem is that if Trump is impeached, it’s not like Mike Pence is much better. He’s owned by the Koch brothers and they don’t care about the environment or about people who aren’t rich and white.

Plus every single person here (unless you’re a billionaire) should be furious about the tax reform bill.

All families making less than $200 k a year will pay more taxes.

Middle class suburbanites (looking at everyone posting here) will pay the majority of the difference so the estate tax can be eliminated.

Think about it, does the estate tax help you or help Trumps Family and Clinton’s and Koch’s and yorks etc.

I find it amazing that people who voted for trump that aren’t rich, are ok with this.

I also find it amazing that no one cares about net neutrality. More money that you will have to pay because the ISPs have bought everyone!

Both of these issues are conservative or liberal, these are every day issues that we should all fight against because they rob us of money and access’s to information and freedom (the internet)

Instead of focusing on the person who lost the presidency start paying attention to the things that they are trying to slip by you

Antler December 7, 2017 at 9:27 PM

“Trump celebrates ‘biggest tax cuts in history’ after Republicans’ push $1.5 TRILLION bill – that the Democrats said they did not have time to read – through the Senate”

Venice December 2, 2017 at 10:34 AM

Finally the tax reform bill was signed by the Senate, democrats notwithstanding.
The economy has taken off under the leadership of President Trump and, with this tax reform, will continue to grow.
Democrats believe the way to run the economy is by maintaining a tight stranglehold and picking winners (donars) and losers. The truth is government can not run the economy that way and create prosperity. Government can not build the economy under democrat control.
The only way to operate is to get the hell out of the way, as President Trump has done, by removing the insane ridiculous money-grabbing stranglehold restrictions forced on us by that incompetent obama and his band of crooks.
By demonstrating that business leaders, not incompetent politicians, should be running our nation Trump has set the stage tor the future of America.

Dorothy December 2, 2017 at 10:51 AM

Both houses of congress need to learn how to speed read.

Concordejet December 2, 2017 at 10:56 AM

I am with Joe @ 2. I hope to get trump out of the office too.

Sad to see the tax bill had passes now the poor people are in trouble. Just terrible:(

Hawaii had their first siren since cold war due to the North Korea Nuclear.

If net neutrality passes? Dose that mean we all loses Internet that mean trump will not be able to use twitter?

Venice December 2, 2017 at 11:06 AM

Yogurt must be the only democrat to have read the new tax bill because none of the congressional democrats had the time in their busy schedules.
We’re lucky to have a gal like Yogurt watching over us.

I liked the part where Yogurt said we should forget about Hilary and all those little errors in judgement she made. Oh, then there’s that firm knowledge that Pence is owned by the Koch brothers.
Yogurt really knows a lot of stuff.

Concordejet December 2, 2017 at 11:17 AM

True I agree with you. they are reading like they are children. they cannot even read one word.

Aspirin December 2, 2017 at 11:52 AM

Re: The Tax Bill:

When we see Republicans smiling we should be afraid, very afraid.

Aspirin December 2, 2017 at 11:57 AM

In the midst of economic prosperity which began under Obama the GOP is sowing fear and lies about an economy without their tax bill.

This is blatant GOP propaganda and the liars are smiling about it knowing that they can easily fool us into believing their fake bill will make us all more prosperous.

In fact, the rich will be richer and we can wait for the trickle-down effect to reach us.

Haven’t we been here before ?

Antler December 7, 2017 at 9:34 PM

Yes, we indeed have “been here before”…… including the part about Safeway already starting to raise prices WAY more than is typical even for a holiday season. You think you’ll get some sort of tax relief??? Maybe, but your buying groceries is already eating it up IN ADVANCE.

Dr. Jellyfinger December 7, 2017 at 11:27 PM

Antler…. what means do we use to deliver groceries to the store?
Trucks maybe? Ok… now follow this carefully… trucks use fuel & fuel prices recently went wayyyy up!
Why? Hmmmmmm, well….. because somebody in a position to do so RAISED THE TAX ON FUEL & VEHICLE REGISTRATION for all of us…. it raised the prices on everything that is delivered to anyone.
And it wasn’t a Republican.
Complain about that.

Aspirin December 2, 2017 at 12:11 PM

Venice #18: The economy took off under Obama. Check the charts.

Chicken Little December 2, 2017 at 12:45 PM

How exactly is doubling the standard deduction going to hurt poor people? By making it so they don’t have to pay any income tax?

Chicken Little December 2, 2017 at 12:48 PM

@Original G #17,
None of the Democrats bothered to read it, but somehow they’re all authorities on who it’s going to help and who it’s going to hurt. My favorite Democrat talking point is how 13 million people are going to lose their health insurance because it eliminates the individual mandate. OMG, how evil of the Republicans to give people a choice whether they want to buy insurance or not!

Concordejet December 2, 2017 at 1:18 PM

The tax legislation now goes to a House-Senate committee, which will try to reconcile the versions passed by each chamber. “Something beautiful is going to come out of that mixer,” Trump said. “People are going to be very, very happy.”

People are going to be very happy? Really? I wonder if that just for the rich people going to be happy while the poor and middle class people are going to be unhappy.

Elwood December 2, 2017 at 1:18 PM

Yogurt is good for you!

Silva December 2, 2017 at 2:16 PM
Badge1104 December 2, 2017 at 2:19 PM

Yippie! the tax relief plan passed! Shame on everyone of you democrat politicians who voted against it! I’m going to remember that at election time. This tax break is going to save people like us about $130 a month. That’s good money and add that to the raise we got since Trump got in office, we are doing much better! this will make the economy boom like never before and help everyone else! shame on you Democrats and liberals for trying to stop it just because you hate Trump. I’m actually convinced now that you folks will hurt the country and others just to get your way.

Antler December 7, 2017 at 9:41 PM

“… people like us…?”
Within 4 years (maybe fewer) only those who make more than $75,000 per year MIGHT still be breaking even.
The people most at risk even before then are those who are self-employed and/or independent contractors because they are losing so many of the tax deductions they have been allowed to take in the past.

Yogurt December 2, 2017 at 2:53 PM

Again with Hillary! Lol, she lost guys. She’s not in power, we are talking about the current administration not someone who isn’t even in government. She can’t make policy but if she was in power, I would point out her flaws too.

The current administration is going to take more money from you. It’s in the tax reform bill. Read any independent analysis of the bill oh and they snuck in drilling in the wildlife refuge in alaska, because that’s what we need, more oil!

Read something about Koch brothers and pence.

The more you hide your head in the sand and pretend that the things happening in America right now, will damage this country for decades to come, than you aren’t paying attention. It’s disgraceful to pretend you care about politics and not see that the only people that will do well with the tax reform are the super rich and corporations.

Trickle down economics does not work. You should be offended that that theory is based on the middle class and lower class eating the leftovers of the super rich.

Stop playing politics, start paying attention to the details.

They showed the tax bill in Warrens desk and it was about four inches thick. Too much to read huh? Are you not the same people that introduced a six foot high bill (ACA) and then told the public “We have to pass it before we know what’s in it”.

Town December 2, 2017 at 3:29 PM

Oh and all the people saying that the tax bill affects the poor and middle class so much. If you live in CA you pay higher taxes than anywhere in the U.S. and that has zero to do with the bill Trump just passed. Higher property taxes, higher gas taxes, higher sales taxes and on and on. Those rich people currently account for 10% of the overall population and pay over 50% of the taxes in this country. That’s why they moved their jobs and money to other places.

Trump did one thing different. Bring your companies and jobs back to the U.S. and we will give you tax breaks. Not the other way around.

Aspirin December 2, 2017 at 4:09 PM

“It’s unclear now why Trump would cite lying to the FBI as a reason for firing Flynn. Doing so suggests the president knew at the time that Flynn had done something that is against the law, and therefore the investigation could not be as frivolous as he’s been portraying.
It’s also unclear how he would know that, if information about Russian contacts had not reached him, as he has been implying in his own defense.”

We move ever closer to impeaching your president.

Fred P. December 8, 2017 at 7:30 AM

Aspirin – we’re still waiting for you to tell us what “high crimes and misdemeanors” exist to support impeaching Trump.

And (again), Trump is also YOUR president. Since you apparently claim he is not your president, I invite you to get your a$$ out of this country. Either you’re part of the solution or you’re part of the problem. You’re obviously not part of the solution.

Original G December 2, 2017 at 5:22 PM

Did we some how miss the statement of the Congressman from CA’s 11th. Congressional district on use of taxpayer dollars numerous times as hush money for misbehavior of so called “public servants” elected to Congress?

“The Washington Times newspaper was the first to report that U.S. Rep. Raul Grijalva’s office made a $48,000 payout to a female staffer who quit after three months on the job.

She reportedly accused Grijalva of creating a hostile work environment and being frequently intoxicated.

In a statement from his office, Grijalva said he agreed to the payout on the advice of the House Employment Counsel.

Both parties signed a nondisclosure agreement. As a result, staff in Grijalva’s office said neither they nor the congressman could comment on the accusations or the settlement.”

“While the Office of Compliance has been the focus of outrage on Capitol Hill for hush-money payouts in sexual harassment cases, the Grijalva payout points to another office that lawmakers can use to sweep accusations under the rug with taxpayer-funded settlements negotiated by the House Employment Counsel, which acts as the attorney for all House offices.

The employment counsel negotiated a deal for taxpayers to give $48,395 — five additional months’ salary — to the female aide, who left her job after three months. She didn’t pursue the hostile workplace complaint further.”

Fred P. December 8, 2017 at 8:56 AM

Marky – aren’t you going to take your fellow democrats to task for their sexual transgressions?

It’s ok to castigate the other side – but I guess the liberals are ok with “diversity and tolerance” ??????

You do know California has the 5th largest economy in the world right? That includes countries.

And yes we pay high taxes, and trump wants you to pay more. I fact this bill directly effects middle class suburbs in Ca, NY and NJ.

Please read any of the independent analysis of the Tax reform bill. You cannot take any politician at their words. Any.

It’s funny that people say I’m the problem, however I am telling you the absolute truth. Tax reform is bad for us and only good for rich people and corporations.

Bet neutrality is bad for everyone

Pence is NOT better than trump, he is as bad or worse. We don’t really know.

The Koch brothers are bad for the long term health of Our environment.

I do not understand how people seem to think taking care of the planet and our natural resources is “liberal nonsense”

This is where live and our grandchildren will live.

#42- there is always money set aside for congress to pay off people instead of goin to court. They all have access to it and are NOT required to let us know. That’s wrong, but everyone is so busy yelling about Hillary or racism or the alteight we don’t pay attention to the little things that are really awful.

People like to think they care about politics but really all they do is make fun of politicians and pretend that counts

joebob December 2, 2017 at 7:19 PM

Hard to believe while the Trump administration goes down in flames before our eyes, that republicans are still hanging onto the Clintons as some sort of lifeline. The Uranium deal was investigated. Nothing there. It was a deal between Canada and the U.S. When the Clintons are gone it will be like The Joker losing Batman. No one to battle anymore.

Meanwhile. Flynn lied about the Russians. Trump lied about Flynn. Sessions, Donald Jr, and Eric all lied about Flynn, Manafort, Sessions and the Russians. But it’s Hilary that’s at the heart of it all!

Trump brought Russian spies into the Oval Office with no other Americans present. Now, from his own stupid tweet, he basically admits that he knew Flynnhad lied to the FBI, when he asked Comey to stop the investigation. How freaking stupid can you be? Did he forget that Sally Yates had warned him about Flynn? This guy is a prosecutors dream. Just let him keep tweeting himself right into a cell, while you’re all whining about….Hilary Clinton.

This is a tax cut for everyone but the upper middle class. It’s really a tax redistribution. That is what it should be called. Property values here will go down too…such a bummer.

Not a Trump Fan December 3, 2017 at 4:01 PM

Right on, Joe (#2), Yogurt, Concordejet. The dominoes are starting to fall…As for this “tax cut for the middle class”, I am one of those $50K/yr residents on a fixed income who will pay more in taxes because I do itemize and don’t have young children. Most people who have a mortgage, pay property and state taxes will not pay less federal tax. And I am also old enough to have survived “trickle down” income tax cuts which did not help the middle class. This bill was about one thing and one thing only…getting something passed because all you ever hear from Rep congress and Trump is “we need a win”… translation (or we’ll lose our donors/seats). There is not one provision in this bill that requires the uber-rich corporate winners to create more jobs, increase wages, provide better benefits etc. with the 15% tax reduction they will get and the foreign made profits in offshore accounts that will be taxed at a super low rate. I’d love to know how much of those profits belong to Trump and his rich buddies. It just blows my mind that people can’t see that this bill is primarily going to help Trump and friends long after he is done screwing up our country and that this approach to tax reform has already been tried and ultimately doesn’t work. And then of course there’s the “death tax” repeal which will only benefit approximately 6,000 families because currently taxes are owed on inheritances of $5 million (if single) and $11 million (if married). Now how many of the middle class has this much money??? But according to Trump, this tax bill isn’t going to benefit him. Just another one of his lies. Can’t wait to hear what Trumps supporters say when their taxes don’t go down, job growth remains the same, our crappy infrastructure doesn’t get fixed and the deficit continues to rise. Oh wait, we may not have to worry about this because Trump’s on the verge of starting WWIII. God help us all!

Elvis December 3, 2017 at 4:49 PM

I’m not jumping to any conclusions about the tax plan at this point, primarily because it has not been finalized.

Original G December 3, 2017 at 5:48 PM

Ah … so that’s how it works, government (“creates”) MANDATES more jobs, increased wages and better benefits. Government should regulate prices paid for goods and every other aspect of our lives because after all bar tenders and overweight teaching failures know better than you how your money should be spent and how much wealth you should be allowed to have.

Strange thing is this lingering belief of liberals, that they can create Utopia if only they had absolute power to control how the country and her people behaved. Look how that worked out for the USSR. But this time they can make total control work.

Now if any of that were true should not the previous Obama administration have created heaven on earth?

After all he had his teleprompter, his pen and phone. An for the first part of his first term Democrats had control of both the executive and the legislative branches of the Federal Government.
Then loomed reelection, for the relevance of this clip you need to know the history of the Presidency of JFK. An if you know of the accomplishments of JFK you realize what a failure 8 years of the mirror worshiping Obama was.

” It’s fair to say humility isn’t one of the president’s virtues, and so it’s no shock he took a bow for his self-declared status as savior of the American economy in his State of the Union address. He shouldn’t have.

Mission accomplished: that was President Obama’s message. Too bad so few Americans agree with him. If things are going so magnificently, maybe the White House can explain why its party took a historic whipping from angry and anxious voters in November.”

Mike Huckabee reacted to the removal of FBI counterintelligence division agent Peter Strzok from Robert Mueller’s special investigation into President Trump and possible Russian collusion. Strzok was removed from the probe after it was revealed he had sent several anti-Trump messages.

“This whole investigation stinks worse than cabbage cooking in a small, unventilated kitchen, with sardines on the side,” he said.

Huckabee noted that “Bob Mueller is a close pal of James Comey.” “A whole bunch of investigators are Hillary Clinton donors and supporters.”

Huckabee called for an “investigation of the investigation” to see if the probe was based on the “phony dossier” funded by DNC sources.

Splitting CA into three states is possibly the most blatant attempt in history of the USA by progressive liberal Democrats at gerrymandering, drawing of political boundaries to give a political party a numeric advantage.

If you overlay the proposed three proposed states of CA with the 2016 election results you will see the new states are set up to nullify existing centers of conservative voters in CA. Thus giving Democrats FOUR additional seats in the US Senate thereby assuring them a perpetual majority.

They are essentially attempting to steal control of the USA.
An CA voters have proven themselves shallow, uncaring and extremely susceptible to massive advertising just in advance of elections.
Vote outcome and effects of Prop 47 are proof.

Take a look at the maps on this page before it is made to disappear.

‘Supreme Court gives the go-ahead to Trump’s travel ban being put in place immediately’

“The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday handed a victory to President Donald Trump by allowing his latest travel ban targeting people from six Muslim-majority countries to go into full effect even as legal challenges continue in lower courts.

The ruling is an indication that the Trump administration’s third travel ban could be able to stand.

The court, with two of the nine justices dissenting, granted his administration’s request to lift two injunctions imposed by lower courts that had partially blocked the ban, which is the third version of a contentious policy that Trump first sought to implement a week after taking office in January.”

I get sick and tired of listening to that snake Chuck Schumer lying about tax cuts. He lies endlessly about how it will add to the deficit and how it would jeopardize Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security. What a load of dung!
Not once during Obama’s wasted eight years did he whine about massive spending increases, slow growth and higher taxes, which yielded almost $10 TRILLION in new debt. He blindly supported everything.
What makes me sicker is that almost all reporters just repeat Schumer’s lies as if they are factual. They repeat the outright lies over and over again, and then after indoctrinating the ignorant readers with pure garbage, they take a poll of fewer than 1,000 people, skewed with more liberals than conservatives to show that the people aren’t in favor of reform. Then they run the poll results as if they are somehow factual news.
Shumer has replaced that other lying snake Harry Reid who retired. let’s not forget, Reid is an admitted liar.

Another democrat leaves the swamp for prison –

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (Reuters) – Former U.S. Representative Corrine Brown of Florida was sentenced on Monday to five years in prison for her role in raising more than $800,000 for a bogus charity that was used as her personal slush fund, federal court officials said.

The self-serving criminal Brown, 71, was convicted in May on 18 counts of participating in a conspiracy involving a fraudulent education charity, concealing material facts required on financial disclosure forms and filing false tax returns.

Brown, a Democrat criminal from Jacksonville who served 24 years in Congress while using her position to steal from us, lost her re-election bid last year after being indicted.

U.S. District Judge Timothy Corrigan said he considered Brown’s years of public service in deciding her punishment. But he determined that “probation for a member of Congress convicted of 18 counts involving mail, wire, and tax fraud would not be sufficient,” according to a transcript of his comments.

He just signed onto a letter that Feinstein wrote to the MTC, talking about building another SF Bay Bridge, south of the existing one due to traffic gridlock. Wait a minute, isn’t Jerry Brown trying to cut back on that? And isn’t Phil Ting trying to ban gas vehicles by 2040?

The libs have no plans – just knee-jerk feel-good proposals.

Most local politicians are lackeys. The good news is that it’s easy to meet them in person. You’ll quickly discover that most are down to earth normal people that don’t have the smarminess of the national politicians.

I don’t mind Gov. Brown trying to get federal aid. If you can get free money then do so. As a significant contributor to the federal budget we should not be needing to work so hard to claw back our money. FWIW, Donald Trump built his personal mini-empire using other people’s money.

“President Donald Trump earned a rare moment of praise from CNN on Thursday for following through on his campaign promises – a rarity amongst politicians in Washington D.C.

CNN, who gave Trump 93 percent negative coverage during the beginning months of his presidency, argued that Trump’s “unbreakable bond” with those who voted for him comes from the fact that he worked hard to deliver on his promises.

An analysis by CNN, titled “Donald Trump — keeper of promises,” concluded:

A politician who actually does what he told voters he would do seems almost unfathomable in Washington, a town of broken promises. For Donald Trump, being a president who delivers is especially crucial, since it’s one of the golden keys to his so far unbreakable bond with supporters.

It was just the latest instance of the President obstinately honoring the bumper-sticker vows he made to his ultra-loyal supporters — even those that horrify the political and foreign policy establishment, media critics and allied leaders.”
