Paul Manafort, Rick Gates to remain under house arrest with movements tracked by GPS, judge orders

Manafort and Gates were charged this month with conspiracy, money laundering and acting as unregistered foreign agents in one of the first criminal cases to come from special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation of Russian tampering in the 2016 election and its possible connection to Trump’s campaign.

Mueller Has Enough Evidence to Bring Charges in Flynn Investigation

Federal investigators have gathered enough evidence to bring charges in their investigation of President Donald Trump’s former national security adviser and his son as part of the probe into Russia’s intervention in the 2016 election

the Democratic party is in deep trouble! with Revelations this past week of all the corruption and how the election was stolen from Bernie Sanders by the corruption of the Clinton machine taking over the Democratic Party. I’m waiting now for the Russian investigations to reveal how Hillary was involved by selling R US uranium to Putin for hundred.million dollars.

I’m so proud of President Trump on the international front! If you watch news from sources outside the US who are reporting you see that Trump is being welcome very much and gaining the respective world leaders! I support him here at home because of the booming economy now lower unemployment rate and the stop of flood of illegal immigration that’s already happened. plus I got my first raise in 5 years. Go Trump go!

Well written and worth a read, detailing failures to enforce existing laws and procedures.

“The irony of the reaction by liberals to maniacs who use guns is to call on their God of Government for more gun control. We now know that government bureaucracy failed us in Texas. It failed us in Charleston. And it failed us at Virginia Tech.

In Texas, gun control laws made it clear Devin Patrick Kelley was exactly the sort of person who should not have been able to purchase firearms, as he had been convicted in a court-martial for a domestic violence offense.

Yet the Air Force failed to inform the FBI of that conviction, so he passed the required federal background check.

This is not the only time that liberal expectations of big government failed. In July 2015, Dylann Roof murdered nine parishioners in Charleston, South Carolina. Due to a previous felony drug conviction, he, too, shouldn’t have been able to purchase a firearm. Then-FBI Director James B. Comey blamed multiple errors in paperwork and communication, and said he was “sick” that it happened. He then ordered the usual “review” of bureaucratic policies.

And then there is Seong-Hui Cho, the psychotic who in 2007 shot and killed 32 people and wounded 17 others at Virginia Tech. The New York Times reported, “Under federal law, the Virginia Tech shooter Seung-Hui Cho should have been prohibited from purchasing a gun after a Virginia court declared him to be a danger to himself in late 2005 and sent him for psychiatric treatment, a government official and several legal experts said Friday.” Once again, the bureaucratic mess of big government failed.

It’s one thing to have the faceless bureaucracy become an existential threat to our lives, and quite another when the FBI has been alerted to a threatening situation and still does nothing. That was the case in June 2016 when radical Islamist Omar Mateen murdered 49 people and wounded 58 others at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida.

The FBI had been alerted to Mateen by his co-workers and his mosque. The Daily Beast reported at the time: “The senior law-enforcement source reports Mateen became a person of interest in 2013 and again in 2014. The Federal Bureau of Investigation at one point opened an investigation into Mateen, but subsequently closed the case when it produced nothing that appeared to warrant further investigation. ‘He’s a known quantity,’ the source said. ‘He’s been on the radar before.’ “

Many liberals also decided to attack the National Rifle Association after the Texas massacre, and the NRA did play a role — in stopping the slaughter. Stephen Willeford, the local hero, a plumber who also happens to be a former NRA instructor, grabbed his own rifle, ran across the street and shot the madman. He ended the mass murder, saving an untold number of lives. He then teamed up with local Johnnie Langendorff, when the two engaged the shooter in a high-speed chase, which ended with Mr. Kelley’s suicide.

In 2007, the New Life Church in Colorado Springs was attacked by a gun-wielding assailant, only to be stopped by volunteer security guard Jeanne Assam, who killed the shooter with her own firearm. Four innocents were killed in that attack, but the shooter was prepared with 3,000 rounds of ammunition. Had Ms. Assam not been there, the toll would have been staggering.

Recounting the horror of the shooting in Texas, a television host tearfully asked on air, “What does this say about us?” Actually, it says nothing about us and everything about the one maniac who did it.

Despite the efforts of some, we will not defined by the few individual maniacs who are psychopathic mass murderers. We will be defined by the prayerful and the decent. The truth is, America is populated with millions of Steven Willefords, Johnnie Langendorffs and Jeanne Assams, people quietly living their lives only to emerge as heroes when coming to the aid of friends and strangers alike. What does that say about us? Everything.”

Why is it Democrats endlessly whine while doing nothing to ensure what’s already on the books is followed?

Prediction, California will see an increase in illegal marijuana sales in years to come with an associated increase in the level of violence from those selling illegal pot. Democrats running this state ran headlong into legal pot sales seeing nothing but dollar signs, from taxation on legal pot sales and a new source of campaign contributions for Democrats.

By the way when the violence escalates they will be completely baffled as to why it is happening. But be assured they will ask you for money to again fix a problem of their creation.

Original G #8 – There will be an increase in illegal marijuana sales and violence simply because of all the taxes, fees, and restrictions that will be tacked onto the growing and sale of legal marijuana. I guess we sort of agree on that.

American bada$$. Strike that, Mexican-American bada$$:

On May 2, 1968, a 12-man Special Forces patrol, which included nine Montagnard tribesmen, was surrounded by an NVA infantry battalion of about 1,000 men. Benavidez heard the radio appeal for help and boarded a helicopter to respond. Armed only with a knife, he jumped from the helicopter carrying his medical bag and ran to help the trapped patrol. Benavidez “distinguished himself by a series of daring and extremely valorous actions… and because of his gallant choice to join voluntarily his comrades who were in critical straits, to expose himself constantly to withering enemy fire, and his refusal to be stopped despite numerous severe wounds, saved the lives of at least eight men.” At one point in the battle an NVA soldier accosted him and stabbed him with a bayonet. Benavidez pulled it out, yanked out his own knife, killed the NVA soldier and kept going, leaving his knife in the dead soldier’s body. After the battle, he was evacuated to the base camp, examined, and thought to be dead. As he was placed in a body bag among the other dead in body bags, he was suddenly recognized by a friend who called for help. A doctor came and examined him but believed Benavidez was dead. The doctor was about to zip up the body bag when Benavidez spat in his face, alerting the doctor that he was alive.[3] (see medal citation below)

The six-hour battle left Benavidez with seven major gunshot wounds, twenty-eight shrapnel holes, and both his arms were slashed by a bayonet. He had shrapnel in his head, scalp, shoulder, buttocks, feet, and legs, his right lung was destroyed, and he had injuries to his mouth and back of his head from being clubbed with a rifle butt. A bullet shot from an AK-47 entered his back and exited just beneath his heart.[4] Benavidez was evacuated to Fort Sam Houston’s Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, and he spent almost a year in hospitals recovering from his injuries.

Benavidez’s commander felt that he deserved the Medal of Honor for his valor in saving eight lives, but he put Roy in for the Distinguished Service Cross because the process for awarding a Medal of Honor would have taken much longer, and his commander was sure Benavidez would die before he got it. The recommendation for the Distinguished Service Cross was rushed through approval channels. On September 10, 1968, while still recuperating from his wounds at Brooke Army Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston, Roy was visited by General William C. Westmoreland, then the Chief of Staff of the United States Army, who presented the Distinguished Service Cross to Benavidez.[4]

Along with the Distinguished Service Cross, Benavidez also received four Purple Hearts for his wounds. In 1969, he was assigned to Fort Riley, Kansas, and in 1972 he was assigned to Fort Sam Houston, Texas where he remained until his retirement from the Army.

Thank you combat veterans. God Bless.

Thank you for your post Atticus,

My brother-in-law was an MP in Saigon back in the day.

I asked him how much trouble he had clearing those Saigon bars of those alcohol fueled brawls.

He sez, “no trouble at all, we just backed the paddy wagon up to the back door and went in the front door swinging our clubs and driving them to the back door into the paddy wagon.”

When he got back in the world, they stationed him at the Oakland Army Base and he got to knock out Huey Newton when the Panthers marched down Maritime Street in Oakland and Huey dared him to strike him if he put his toe on Army property.

Down goes Huey!

He smiles when he tells that one.

Thank you veterans.

On this Veteran’s Day, some statistics from the Vietnam war

close to 60,000 casualties

almost 49,000 of those were enlisted

the greatest loss of life occurred in 1968

California accounted for 5, 575 of those deaths

close to 41,000 of those who died were killed in action

died of wounds, 5,299

self-inflicted wounds 382

these figures do not include the thousands who survived their wounds, but returned physically and psychologically changed.

We as a nation are grateful for your sacrifice and your service.

“But Carlos had a rifle and hid.”

That was his duty and he excelled at it. Is there anything to be gained by comparing the respective valor of two bona fide heroes?

Dr. Jellyfinger November 11, 2017 at 8:16 PM

Carlos also saved lives…

“In 1969, a vehicle Hathcock was riding in struck a landmine and knocked the Marine unconscious. He came to and pulled seven of his fellow Marines from the burning wreckage. He left Vietnam with burns over 40 percent of his body. He received the Silver Star for this action in 1996”

In an interview with Hannity Moore did not wholly rule out dating teenage girls when he was in his early 30s.
Apparently he dated teenage girls when he was over 30 years old. It was entirely possible that Moore did not bother to check the birth records of the children he dated.

What, me worry ? The kids threw themselves at him. What was he supposed to do ?

Aspirin November 12, 2017 at 9:34 PM

Women are finally getting the courage to reveal the kind of sexual harassment and the predators that they suffered years ago.

It is too bad that the Statute Of Limitations prevents most from suing.

When multiple accusers come forth and the guilty and the supporters of the guilty start accusing the press and claim political motives to discredit the accusers we know that a case is being made that supports the victims.

It is entirely correct that an elected official is scrutinized and better late than never.

Moore probably uses religion to cover up his personal weakness. In this case his weakness was very, very young girls.

Career US Senate politicians looking out for their own ????

“Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham (S.C.) said on Friday that if the allegations against Alabama candidate for U.S. Senate Roy Moore are true, he should step aside, and “should be dealt with severely.”

But Graham not only hasn’t called for Democrat Sen. Bob Menendez (N.J.), accused of having sex with underage prostitutes, to step aside — he also went to New Jersey on his own dime two weeks ago to testify as a character witness in Menendez’s corruption trial, telling the judge that Menendez is “very honest” and “honorable.” ”

Original G November 13, 2017 at 11:08 AM

Well, …. that didn’t take long.
Another Democrat sycophant inspiration falls flat on it’s face.

“… Coffee Company Admits Public Decision To Pull Ads From Hannity Created ‘Unacceptable Situation’ ”

“On Monday, Keurig CEO Bob Gamgort issued a memorandum to employees denouncing his own company’s Twitter announcement that it had pulled advertising from Sean Hannity’s television program on Fox News. That advertising pullout came in the wake of an astroturfed campaign from Media Matters based on false allegations that Hannity expressed support for child molestation and had attacked sexual assault accusers.

The pullout led to a massive backlash on Twitter, where Keurig owners began smashing their machines and announcing that they would boycott the company.”

Liberals have for years in CA been slowly striving for a centralized autocratic government with limits, restrictions, fees, taxation and laws to craft their Utopian fantasy.

Do they have long term plans?

“GOOD GUY WITH A GUN: Armed school officer stopped Arapahoe High School shooting

Authorities are dramatically revising the response time of law enforcement officers to the Arapahoe High School shooting on Friday.

Originally, it was claimed by multiple outlets that responding law enforcement agencies took 14 minutes to arrive at the school, and that the shooter was not located until 30 minutes into the event. As we noted based on this information, this proves that schools need armed staffers and/or faculty on campus because it takes far too long for outside law enforcement agencies to respond to stop an active shooter.

It now appears that our original thesis was confirmed because there was an armed officer on campus who was the reason the shooter was stopped after only shooting one student.

They are now stating that the entire incident was over in just 80 seconds because there was an armed sheriff’s deputy on staff who was alerted over the school’s radio system, who cornered the shooter in the library. ”

In case of Sandy Hook killer.
“As the national discussion on mental health continues following the tragic shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School that killed 27 people, a recent mental health bill that was defeated in Connecticut may have helped in keeping Adam Lanza away.

Before Friday’s heinous act, there was talk in Connecticut’s state legislature to beef up the state’s “assisted outpatient treatment” law, according to Connecticut Senate Bill 452 was proposed in February “to enhance the care and treatment of persons with psychiatric disabilities in both inpatient and outpatient settings.” But the bill was defeated in March, with opposition calling it “outrageously discriminatory.” The ACLU said the bill would “infringe on patients’ privacy rights by expanding [the circle of] who can medicate individuals without their consent.” ”

Meanwhile officers in one Utah city are required to give city officials seven days’ heads-up before arresting anyone — and by the time they go in, the migrants they’re targeting seem to have gotten a heads-up and taken off, the website says”.

“Perhaps the most shocking, though, is the report out of Philadelphia that supervisors told officers to remove their bullet proof vests before attempting to make an arrest in the city.

The vests contain the officers’ markings identifying them as police, so without the vests they had nothing visible to show they were law enforcement. Neighbors ended up calling city police to report the men as intruders.

The website said the supervisors should have been fired, and said Mr. Trump should personally issue a directive ordering discipline for any ICE supervisor who demands officers remove their body armor.”

I’d support “dreamers” earning citizenship with strict caveats;
1. Pass the same test as regular legal applicants.
2. Serve four years active military duty with NO disciplinary action. Screw up and get deported.
3. Take advantage of training opportunities while in the military. Learn job skills and be independent. Screw up and get deported.
4. Pay all back taxes. Screw up and get deported.
5. Get arrested for any crime and get deported.
You want to be a citizen so badly, them’s the rules. Take ’em or leave ’em.

I read this today;
Did you know that before 1992, when a lot of this was going on, that Judge Moore was a Democrat. While he was a Democrat, nobody said a word when he supposedly was attracted to inappropriately aged girls.
Interesting, huh.

Dr. Jellyfinger November 14, 2017 at 9:32 PM

@ 47 Aspirin… re: Bill Clinton ….. “We knew Bill was a chaser and some criticize Hillary for sticking with him”.

“Chaser”? Try saying “Rapist” (and yet he’s still the Dem’s darling).
Notice how the Red Team is reacting to Judge Moore now that it appears likely that he’s lying? Blue Team ought to try living by a set of moral standards for a change…… nah!
I love the way you guys ignore your own monsters… dosen’t it make you feel kinda slimy tho?

Aspirin November 15, 2017 at 1:39 PM

The Trump/GOP Tax Bill is DOA.

Roy Moore is DOA.

The GOP is DOA in 2018..

Separate Reality is a 20-metre-long (66 ft) long climbing route in Yosemite National Park in California, United States. The famous[1][2] route is well known for its exposed crux and 6-metre-long (20 ft) crack in its roof through which the sky is visible.[3] The route’s access is about 200 metres (660 ft) above the Merced River, but is better reached by abseiling from above. The name is from the 1971 novel A Separate Reality: Further Conversations with Don Juan from Carlos Castaneda.[4] –Wikipedia

Look at the daily news becoming more and more sickening, as CA and America swings farther LEFT we’ll be one big Chicago, Detroit, Baltimore, Oakland, St. Louis, etc unless we do something NOW!

Get these SICK Democrats out while we have a slight chance.

TIFOKCIS November 15, 2017 at 5:43 PM

Trump just ticked me off!

He got those bakketballas out of China so they can continue to call him a racist.

Yep Trump you’re dumb ass for that one.

Carry on.

Dr. Jellyfinger November 15, 2017 at 7:15 PM

I hope I’m not prejudiced! If I am it isn’t on purpose… but I almost feel bad for finding it so funny that there are only about 5 or 6 black people in China at any given time for whatever reason, and 3 of them got arrested for shoplifting!

Fred P. November 16, 2017 at 6:34 AM

Hillary Clinton called the intimations earlier this week from the Justice Department that its considering deploying a special counsel to investigate her a “politicization” of the justice system and an “abuse of power” if carried out.

In an interview with the left-wing outlet Mother Jones, Clinton decried the Uranium One story as a “false charge” and a diversion tactic by President Donald Trump’s administration.

“Taking myself out of it, this is such an abuse of power. And it goes right at the rule of law,” Clinton told the liberal outlet.

“This appears to be the politicization of the Justice Department and our justice system,” Clinton told Mother Jones. “This Uranium One story has been debunked countless times by members of the press, by independent experts. It is nothing but a false charge that the Trump administration is trying to drum up in order to avoid attention being directed at them.”

Left out by Clinton and Mother Jones was that during his testimony on Capitol Hill this week, Attorney General Jeff Sessions doused the idea of a special counsel, telling House Judiciary committee members his belief that the DOJ “can never be used to retaliate politically against opponents.”

But the storyline gave Clinton her own diversion from last week’s bombshell dropped by Donna Brazile’s new book about her cozy deal with the Democratic National Committee.

“Even Trey Gowdy, someone who’s hardly a fan of mine, said that there doesn’t seem to be the basis for a special counsel and, of course, there isn’t,” Clinton told Mother Jones.

“If they sent a signal that we’re going to be like some dictatorship, some authoritarian regime, where political opponents are going to be unfairly, fraudulently investigated, that rips at the fabric of the contract we have that we can trust our justice system,” Clinton said.

“It will be incredibly demoralizing for people who have served in the Justice Department … because the know better.”
Hillary ought to know – she’s an “expert ” on abuse of power.

Hang the b****.

Aspirin November 16, 2017 at 8:18 AM

Political losers are trying to reopen old investigations into the Clintons.

This is a transparent political ploy used to deflect attention from current and important issues affecting us TODAY.

The Trump supporters are desperate, and amusing to watch.

Aspirin November 16, 2017 at 8:20 AM

Venice #67: Donald Trump would fail your test.

Fred P. November 16, 2017 at 10:49 AM

And political losers are still trying to protect the Clintons, Warren and the rest of the lunatic left.

The democrat supporters are desparate and not particularly amusing to watch….kinda like children throwing a tantrum.

Aspirin November 16, 2017 at 1:04 PM

Fred P. Keep trying to nail the Clintons but better than you have tried and failed.

Meanwhile the GOP scandals keep on growing. Plenty to see there.

Aspirin November 16, 2017 at 1:05 PM

Never have we seen such rot in our government.

And you elected it.

Elwood November 16, 2017 at 4:20 PM

@ Aspirin #76

“Political losers are trying to reopen old investigations into the Clintons.”

And Lord knows there’s plenty to investigate. The Clintons are the most corrupt couple in the history of American politics.

They remind me of what an Arkie friend once told me: “I can always tell when we cross that Arkansas state line. We both get the urge to steal.”

Aspirin November 16, 2017 at 5:34 PM

Your rotten excuse for a president has just alienated another large portion of the population – animal lovers, with his insane reversal of a law that bans the import of trophies from murdering elephants, tigers, lions, etc.

What the hell is this idiot thinking? This is leadership?

Aspirin November 16, 2017 at 5:35 PM

Elwood. All hat and no cattle.

Where is the PROOF ???

Aspirin November 16, 2017 at 5:39 PM

Fred P., no one is “protecting” the Clintons because there is nothing to offer “protection” for.

I merely point out that years and years of investigations, accusations, Congressional hearings, have produced no evidence of crimes being committed by the Clintons.

If you have proof, let’s see it !

California Gas Tax Hike Will Cost Typical California
Family $779.28 More Per Year
California politicians are misrepresenting the true cost of living impact that will result from their car and
gas tax hikes that started going into effect November 1, 2017. Worse, California media has failed to
properly report on the cost increases.
To illustrate the increase costs that a typical family of four would see under the car and gas tax hikes,
Reform California prepared an analysis to illustrate the kinds of price impacts that could be seen.
Cost of Fuel Increase: $405 per year
This is the one that the media has focused on, but most of the media gets the true cost increase
completely wrong. While the gas tax went up by 12 cents a gallon November 1, the gas tax hike
legislation contains a hidden tax by changing how taxes are assessed per gallon of gas. As a result, the
true increase in gas-tax-per-gallon will be 19.5 cents – and it will automatically increase thereafter.
The average family has 2.1 cars. For our illustration of a typical California family, let’s round that down
to just 2 cars using 20 gallons per week (filling up the tank once per car per week). For a two-driver
family, that’s an extra $405 per year.
Cost of Vehicle Registration Increase: $250 per year
The car tax (vehicle registration assessment) goes into effect January 1, 2018 and many families are now
getting the first notices of the increase in the mail. The amount of the car tax increase depends on the
value of your car.
For our illustration for a typical California family, let’s set aside luxury cars like a Mercedes or BMW.
Let’s suppose the family we study has a Ford Fusion and a Jeep Wrangler – pretty standard economical
For this family, the car tax hike is $100 more for the car worth $25,000 or more (Ford Fusion) and $150
more for the car worth $35000 or more (Jeep Wrangler). For this family, that’s an extra $250 per year.
Cost of Shipping and Cost of Goods Increase: At least $124.28 per year (food alone)
This is where the impact of the gas tax hike is really hidden as it is imposed on transportation companies
using diesel and they in turn pass it on to consumers through price increases.

Dr. Jellyfinger November 16, 2017 at 10:52 PM

Geez! Here we have Al Franken admitting to forcible smooching & photo evidence with a woman like he was going to honk her horns….. that’s quite a bit different than just a crude comment like Trump made….I mean all Trump did was say “Grab ’em by the (expletive deleted)” and there was a firestorm of criticism and controversy…. it’s like that old English saying :
“A hand in the bush is worth two on the bird”…. or something like that.

Dr. Jelly
Two thumbs up, that was guffaw worthy!

Venice November 17, 2017 at 9:43 AM

Aspirin –
There were many investigations into the crimes committed by Al
Capone and all those other crime families. Finally the cops got the goods on them. Because of threats, payoffs, and “accidental” deaths, it took years of ongoing investigations.
The cover ups of the, even more powerful, Clinton Crime Family investigations will require faithful determination by honest dedicated men and women. The number of heads that will eventually roll, and the involvement of foreign governments is proving to be a tough road, but the end is coming. After all they can’t murder all of us.
