Due to the North Bay fires and poor air quality, the Contra Costa County’s Department of Public Health has issued a cancellation of all outdoor activity this weekend, according to the City of Walnut Creek.

The Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau, Walnut Creek Downtown and Labadie Productions have therefore cancelled Oktoberfest scheduled for this Saturday, October 14, 2017.

Safe for the kids to go to school in the WC but not for adults to drink beer. I realize they are forced by CoCo County to do it but it still sounds strange

Our nanny government at work…

It’s a nanny government because so many of “us” are empty-headed fools who don’t know how to protect “ourselves” from doing harm to “ourselves” (and end up causing the rest of “us” tons of money for health care that otherwise would not have been needed). Think about fast food, tobacco, and alcohol consumption – “we” don’t know how to say no to harmful things.

They shouldn’t have cancelled this event, many probably planned on having beer and brats. I’m sure there’s an oktoberfest somewhere to attend.

I have Oktoberfest every morning. protein and carbohydrates. brats and beer? No, cereal and milk!
Ok, that’s a lie, I don’t have breakfast.
