A small vegetation fire is burning on the old Naval Weapons Station property in North Concord.

No structures are threatened and no injuries have been reported.

The fire department for the Military Ocean Terminal – Concord (MOTCO) is on scene.

Thanks to David for the photo.

This is one of my worst fears. I hope it is under control soon.

There hasn’t been any lightning and the weapon station is closed so how could they have a fire started there

You wonder how could a fire start with
no lightning? I’m not Sherlock Holmes
but I’m guessing the same way multitudes
of fires are started. Careless smokers
throwing cigarettes out of their car windows.

Hopefully it’s not a arsonist or homeless encampment………………….

It’s still an active base… Don’t believe me? Go try and hop a fence 😂

Walking my dog at the park, I noticed a couple of 40′ trailers and some kind of small structure on the grounds north of Willow pass road. Maybe someone set something on fire while working there?

Kinetic action practice.

There’s a company that uses MOTCO for their autonomous vehicles. Using the streets within MOTCO to perfect their technology. Namely, driverless shuttles.

Someone needs to ban vegetation before this happens again.

A vegetation fire? Like carrots and broccoli? Why can’t government agencies communicate the way real people do?
