Did a bit of searching and was surprised what popped up.
June 15, 2012 From: Janet Napolitano Secretary of Homeland Security
To: Acting Commissioner U.S. Customs and Border Protection Director U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Director U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement
“By this memorandum, I am setting forth how, in the exercise of our prosecutorial discretion, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) should enforce the Nation’s immigration laws against certain young people who were brought to this country as children and know only this country as home. ”
Full text of the MEMORANDUM.
https://www.dhs.gov/xlibrary/assets/s1-exercising-prosecutorial-discretion-individuals-who-came-to-us-as-children.pdf
Obama’s Jun 15, 2012 announcement.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hz4MMY76fu8
He made his announcement briefly bashed Congress then walked away, with his “mark” in history. It appears there’s nothing with his signature creating DACA. He made his administration look good on June 15, 2012 but in doing so made no lasting changes to problem these children are facing.
Five years later President Trump forces the issue and puts Congress on the spot, basically telling them to get off their dead butts and get it done and they’ve got 6 months to do it. Too bad Obama didn’t think of something like that. Guess making executive decisions making people accountable for their actions or in this case inaction takes someone with experience in actually getting things done.
US Constitution Referring to U.S. Congress.
Article 1, Section 8, Clause 4. “To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization” …
In my humble opinion is about time Congress started doing something about this, these kids need and deserve the peace of mind and closure so they can get on with their lives.
All Obama did was have someone else do something. (Napolitano) So if DACA did somehow hit the fan there was someone to throw under the bus. Because as we saw for 8 very long years NOTHING bad was ever his fault.
An if someone can find where Obama did more for those covered by DACA since 2012 besides giving teleprompter lectures bashing people, Please post it I’d like to read up on it.
Did I miss it? Can you find President Obama’s signed Executive Order creating DACA in the Federal Register listing Executive Orders.

Deal with Trump, GOP retirements have Dems riding higher

Relegated for months to playing defense, congressional Democrats are rising again. They’ve been revitalized by the deal their leaders cut with President Donald Trump this week and by a trickle of GOP retirements that have boosted their hopes of capturing House control next year.

While we voted for Obama once,. We fully support giving President Trump a fair chance. What’s going on now is totally unfair of people trying to destroy him simply because they wanted Clinton or Sanders. Trump has what is needed to keep America safe in a dangerous world. Obama would have just caved. Plus unemployment is way down and the economy is way up someday we haven’t seen a long long time. Be fair and give Trump a chance!

9 RANDOM TASK September 8, 2017 at 8:53 PM

#7 your first mistake is reading Washington post …..I would like some clarification on why you believe any media when we all know they lie just as much as politicians …unless you have another answer that clarifies why you believe a media proven to be one sided and even taking orders from politicians and or Secretaries of State …not directly but indirectly right so they are taking orders from lackeys of politicians …..and you believe them ….huh dont know what to think now …..see how easy it is to lose yourself in half truths and or media biase

10 Coggins Square September 8, 2017 at 9:01 PM

@Greg94528, you said that Trump has what is needed to keep America safe in a dangerous world. Does that include keeping Americans safe from its own people, especially in America’s Inner Cities? Because it is our fellow Americans, not foreign enemy combatants who are the biggest danger to us. It is especially a problem in lower income areas of America’s large cities. It makes me think of a quote from the outstanding early 1990s movie “Boyz N The Hood”. One of its stars is rapper ice cube. in one seen, Ice Cube’s character talks about how he watched the news, and they talked about all this violent stuff in foreign countries, after which he said, “either they don’t know, don’t show, or don’t care about what’s going on in the hood. It is so true. Similarly, I cannot say how terrified I get sometimes of America’s roadways with so many aggressive drivers. We basically need more protection from our own people than foreign attackers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQdE0_Hy10M Here is that great quote from Ice Cube in that great movie from so many years ago!! With all that is going on in America these days, I think it would be beneficial to either re-release it, or do a remake of it.

Let me get this straight: We have about 4,000 illegals attending the UC system, taking the place of legal residents. And now the UC President is suing the Trump Administration over suspending DACA. Am I missing something???????????

15 Dr. Jellyfinger September 8, 2017 at 11:32 PM

Well…. Jennifer Lawrence says that the hurricanes are punishment from God & Mother Nature for us electing a President who does not believe in Global Warming / Climate Change.

Now who can argue with that?

16 ClayDen September 9, 2017 at 12:15 AM

@Dr. Jellyfinger
I just finished an interesting book: An Inconvenient Deception: How Al Gore Distorts Climate Science and Energy Policy by Roy Spencer. It clearly demonstrates what a charlatan Al Gore is. This is $3.99 well spent.
You can get some excellent information at Dr. Spencer’s website: http://www.drroyspencer.com/

20 Waldo September 9, 2017 at 8:13 AM

DACA is unconstitutional. How can one sue if it doesn’t exist????

21 Giddyup September 9, 2017 at 8:19 AM

“We have about 4,000 illegals attending the UC system,”.paid for with California taxpayer dollars. The University will literally take these students by the hand and help them to attend providing them with the needed visas, housing including for wives and children, social activities, and enrollment in the classes they need. And, guess what else? They are likely being taught by professors who are foreign nationals that the University pays to relocate here, lock, stock, and barrel.

22 ClayDen September 9, 2017 at 8:25 AM

Agree! Birthright citizenship is one of the dumbest things ever done in this country.

@#previous thread giddyup
You denigrated my respect for Sec. Clinton’s achievements by saying, and I quote you…”at least I’ve never supported a philandering, scum-sucking piece of human trash like (President) Bill Clinton.”

That was such a softball I have to respond. WTH do you think you did when you voted for djt?

26 Anon Today September 9, 2017 at 9:40 AM

Pretty sad that “we” are willing to help the rest of the World before we bother to help our own citizens First.

I say “we” because None of us voted for this or had a say.

27 AlwaysBePositive September 9, 2017 at 9:51 AM

@#22 cd #17 d
Do you know where birthright citizenship comes from? The 14th Amendment to the Constitution. Do you know why it was ratified? To give citizenship to a segment of our population that was abused by our nation for economic gain (former slaves).

@#20 w
Wrong.

#12 v
Using your example I would have to ask…Who is the President responsible for?

@#8 g
First, djt has presided over an economy that has not deviated from the trends that have been pretty consistently positive for at least the last 6 years. I’m not saying that our economy is not getting better, I’m saying that djt has essentially nothing to do with it.

28 AlwaysBePositive September 9, 2017 at 10:05 AM

I’ve noticed a feeling among djt supporters that he isn’t being given a fair chance. Expressing that feeling without acknowledging it was wrong to feel the opposite during President Obama’s terms seems to be a definition of hypocrisy.

Bob Mueller has advised the White House that he wants to interview 6 current and former WH staffers. You can almost feel the sphincters tightening from here.

29 Dr. Jellyfinger September 9, 2017 at 10:16 AM

Right on CJ… now maybe we should start thinking outside the box here…. get all our left wing activist comrades praying to whatever deity they bow to for a tornado to take out NRA headquarters… maybe conjure up a mess of earthquakes to hit all those Red States! I’ll bet Jennifer Lawrence has a spell for that!

31 Captain Bebops September 9, 2017 at 12:30 PM

The US is a bankrupt country and is going to be even more so after these storms. Rand Paul told Congress rather than raise the debt ceiling to fund hurricane relief (or will it be insurance company relief) we should stop funding foreign countries with dictators who hate us. Makes sense doesn’t it? But it won’t happen because greedy US corporations want their slimy hands on the resources of those countries. Get the idea? It’s not your country anymore but owned and operated by the filthy rich. IOW, a plutocracy.

And then I read today that PG&E has a billion dollar fine on it’s hands? Thought last winters PG&E bills were too high? Just wait for the coming one. How’s those proposals to have municipal utilities in our local cities going? Haven’t heard much about it lately. May be another good reason to pack up and leave California.

The time Trump took his secret mistress on his family vacation;
“My life was so great in so many ways. The business was so great… a beautiful girlfriend, a beautiful wife, a beautiful everything. Life was just a bowl of cherries”. The comments, unnoticed since he became a presidential candidate until now, are the latest example of Trump’s steadfast refusal to show any guilt or remorse for his marital infidelities and his seeming view that women were disposable. It also suggests the only reason Trump went through a divorce with his first wife, Ivana, was because his years-long affair with Marla Maples became public. Earlier in the interview, Trump joked about the tense confrontation between Ivana and Marla on the ski slopes of Aspen, Colorado, where all three were vacationing. The comments indicate that even in that moment where his wife and mistress met for the first time, he was much more concerned about how the public confrontation would impact him than what either of the women was going through as a result of his actions. “I was standing there like an idiot and Marla and Ivana were here, and there wasn’t shouting but you could obviously see there was some friction,” he said. “And a man who was standing right next to me who weighed about 350 pounds and wasn’t a very attractive guy said to me ‘It could be worse, Donald, I’ve been in Aspen for 20 years and I’ve never had a date.’ I’ll never forget the statement, and it sort of lightened it up for me. I’m saying you know, I guess it could be worse.” http://nydn.us/2dVgEBC

Some points about DACA the left wing media and career Democrat politicians
neglected to mention when Obama had Janet Napolitano, then Secretary of Homeland Security, create that MEMORANDUM was how little it did for those it effected. DACA should have had a warning label.

48 Silva September 10, 2017 at 5:20 AM

I guess I must have triggered you. Sorry.

Character assassination; the malicious and unjustified harming of a person’s good reputation. Nope. Don’t think so.

In my link ( http://nydn.us/2dVgEBC ) you can see video of DT saying the very words quoted in my link at #36, which followed Giddyup’s statement at #34. Because you prefer to imagine him having good character against all evidence, doesn’t mean he does. Nowhere did I defend Bill’s philandering, or Hillary’s not going away quietly, but by throwing out past actor’s wrongdoings doesn’t make your guy a paragon of virtue, or excuse who he is, and has always been. There is that little bit of evidence of his YUGE character flaws, and much, MUCH more. Believe me!!! 😁

49 Giddyup September 10, 2017 at 8:03 AM

No one will ever match the low-life, scum-sucking, yellow-bellied, lilly-livered spectacle that is the Clintons. In the early 70s they were in Berkeley campaigning for McGovern for President. The place where I worked had spaces in a small parking lot on University Avenue next to the McGovern campaign headquarters. One day we came out after work and they had stuck “McGovern For President” bumper stickers on every car in the lot.

Now, I’m not opposed to bumper stickers. At one time, I collected surfing stickers for my car … a different car. So, I know what it’s like to have stuff stuck on your car. But the car they stuck the “McGovern For President” sticker on was relatively new and I was not sticking stuff to it. I was also going to vote for McGovern … until this happened. I right then and there peeled it off what I could of it and took it into their offices. The creep I talked to thought he was cute. He thought he could convince me it was a good idea. No apology … no respect for other’s personal property … my property was their property … no realization that his actions represented McGovern himself, no realization of personal responsibility or accountability. In other words, what O have come to know is the typical liberal twisted boundaries approach to life. I’m quite sure the person I spoke to that day was Bill Clinton. The creep’s grin is seared in my memory. I told him I was going to vote for McGovern until this happened, so he had just lost a vote for the man. I left the pieces of the bumper sticker on the table and stomped out. What trash! The rest is history.

50 Dr. Jellyfinger September 10, 2017 at 10:04 AM

@ 48 ~ Point is that was a long time ago & nothing like that has happened since Trump became Prez. So bringing it up now is just a desperate, cheap shot in lieu of any real scandal for you to pounce on.
We are simply reveling in the hilarity of your pathetic attempts to somehow make Trump’s marital past an issue that has any effect on how he does his job… “now”.

51 Dr. Jellyfinger September 10, 2017 at 11:02 AM

“Scandals are coming down the chute”?

Well…… we’re waiting….

You’re lucky my 1st choice candidate Ted Cruz didn’t win.
Your team would be going insane trying to find some dirt on him.

In the meantime, just carry on with the Donald sleaze stories..
It’s entertaining.

52 Silva September 10, 2017 at 11:48 AM

Dr. Jellyfinger, I don’t know about “my team”, but it’s doubtful I would have ever posted a thing on this thread had it not been for the abysmal prospect that my beloved country was considering electing this as her leader, That was by no means the most recent, the only, or the worst example I could post which illustrates that DT is an invertebrate. I didn’t want you to go all apoplectic. It’s your choice. Once again. I posted my example (#36) after he was held up as a shining pillar of virtue.

53 Giddyup September 10, 2017 at 12:21 PM

Bill Clinton made a mockery of marriage with his “inappropriate” use of cigars, and he has the stones to enter a Baptist church (one of the more conservative denominations of Christianity) and speak. He disgraced himself, he disgraced his wife, he disgraced his daughter, he disgraced the country. And, now he has disgraced the Baptists. There isn’t a rock in any swamp in America that will allow him to crawl under. There’s the shining example of morality Liberals hold up for us to emulate! Your “party” is so over!

54 Giddyup September 10, 2017 at 12:31 PM

Oh, yes, I forgot to mention, he disgraced his “party.”. So, liberals are your faces red, yet? Are you just so embarrassed at the members of your “party’s” behavior that you could just die? Do you think someone should have taken Hillary’s assistant’s husband’s phone away from him ,,, at least until the election was over? Of course not! Liberals see nothing wrong with that sort of behavior!

55 Fred P. September 10, 2017 at 12:48 PM

I’m sick of the libs complaining about Trump’s behavior…

1. Ted Kennedy left a woman to die in a river.
2. Slick Willy had sex with a barely-legal intern in the Oval Office.
3. Obama ran guns to Mexican drug lords and gave billions to terrorist states.
4. Biden makes creepy and sexist comments and publicly fondles women.
5. Hillary? Released classified intel, wiped her illegal server (with a cloth?), destroyed mobile devices, left 4 Americans to die and lied about it being caused by a video, sold uranium to our enemies, took money from terrorist countries…
6. John Edwards was indicted for using campaign funds to hide his mistress.
7. Rod Blagojevitch s in prison for trying to sell Obama’s senate seat.
Anthony Weiner – need I say more?

Shall I continue?????

Yes, you democrats should lecture the GOP on what is “beneath” a political office. You have so much experience in it. I didn’t hear complaining when those above did it.

Hypocrites…..

71 mtzman September 11, 2017 at 7:40 AM

@Giddyup, wow, interesting story about bumper stickers. An old friend of mine, now deceased, was John Schmitz, an ultra-conservative politician from Orange County who ran for president on the American Independent Party in 1972. He once told me a story about seeing a car in 1964 with two bumper stickers — one that said Schmitz for State Senate and the other All the Way with LBJ. He asked the elderly owner of the car why she would have bumper stickers for a John Birch Society conservative like himself and for President Johnson. She told him, “Well, you both looked like such nice young men so I am supporting the two of you!”

Never knew they had the power to turn a McGovern supporter into such vitriol and hatred for the Clintons. By the way, not certain that was Bill Clinton you met. While Bill and Hilary did spend a summer in Berkeley in the early 70s, in 1972 Bill did work for McGovern as a state campaign director … in Texas.

72 Dr. Jellyfinger September 11, 2017 at 8:12 AM

(as long as I am amused…. that’s all that really matters).

73 Fred P. September 11, 2017 at 9:05 AM

Hillary Clinton believes that were it not for James Comey, Russia, Wikileaks, Facebook, fake news, voter ID laws, or America’s “endemic” sexism and misogyny, she would currently be president of the United States.

In just under two minutes, Clinton rattled off eight separate excuses for losing the 2016 election.

Clinton claims that, “If the election were on October 27, I would be your president,” singling out James Comey in particular for re-opening an investigation into her mishandling of classified material. (Others notably argue that Comey kept Clinton in the campaign by preemptively exonerating Clinton before the FBI had concluded its own investigation.)

“I went from 26 points ahead to 13 points ahead, and I needed about 18 points in order to be sure to win Pennsylvania,” Clinton said of the impact of Comey’s notorious letter explaining he was re-opening the investigation. “I watched how analysts who I have a great deal of respect for, like Nate Silver, burrowed into all the data and said that ‘but for that Comey letter, she would have won.'”

“So it was very personal to me,” she said in an interview with CBS’s Jane Pauley. “I think my general election prospects were badly damaged because of that, so that even though I was starting to come back, it was not enough time to overcome it.”

Clinton also rattled off Russia, Wikileaks, and even fake news as other culprits in her failed presidential run.

“But even though [the Comey letter] was the primary blow to my campaign at the very end, it has to be looked at in context — with the Russians weaponizing information, negative stories about me; this whole Wikileaks beginning to leak in early October of John Podesta’s emails — which if you read them all were, they’re pretty anodyne, but they were taken out of context; stories were made up about them.”

Clinton then cited a recent story about Facebook accepting advertising from a Russian firm as another reason for her loss.

“We now know that Facebook was taking money from Russian companies to run negative stories about me,” she continued. “If you look at all of this, yes, it affected me and my campaign. But I am more concerned now going forward that we haven’t come to grips with what it means for future elections.”

In comments that echo Donald Trump’s claims that the votes from illegal aliens affected the vote totals, Clinton likewise claims that Republican-led “voter suppression” enabled Trump to win toss-up states.

“I would also add that the voter suppression that we now know had been in the works and really put into effect in a lot of states like Wisconsin and North Carolina, etc., played a role,” she said.”

And she blamed America’s “sexism and misogyny, which are endemic to our society. And certainly as I write in my chapter called ‘On Being a Woman in Politics,’ have to be factored in as well.”

A US president (Democrat or Republican) can pardon a convicted criminal and he/she can fire an FBI director who is actively involved in a criminal investigation of that president.

This smacks of an abuse of power and circumventing the justice system.

However, it is apparently permitted under our laws.

Great Wall was built in the 14th through 17th centuries A.D., during the Ming dynasty (1368-1644). Though the Great Wall never effectively prevented invaders from entering China, it came to function more as a psychological barrier between Chinese civilization and the world, and remains a powerful symbol of the country’s enduring strength.

Trump’s Wall pales in comparison and will suffer the same fate as the Great Wall of China – it won’t do any good.

Paying attention to history can teach us many things, the least of which is that walls do not keep us safe.

Harsh Hollywood Reviews On Eve Of Hillary’s New Memoir Release

Hollywood may have been one of Hillary Clinton’s biggest donors, but on the eve of the release of her memoir “What Happened”, Tinseltown is now trying to keep a distance from the failed Presidential candidate.

A producer who was a repeat contributor to Clinton’s big bucks campaign told Deadline, “she is toxic here right now. They took everyone’s donations, made a lot of promises, and then left everyone holding the bag when she lost.”

She has exhausted more than a few of her Hollywood supporters. As they wait to get their hands on “What Happened” to see if they are mentioned, insiders tell me that they are frustrated with the re-emergence of a pattern of finger-pointing to which she and former President Bill Clinton are known for.

The sit-down with Jane Pauley on Sunday saw ex-FBI Director James Comey and the email server scandal, white nationalists and Trump’s “deplorable” appeal to an angry electorate reiterated by Clinton in a familiar chorus that has also included primary rival Sen. Bernie Sanders, Vladimir Putin and Russian hackers, Barack Obama and DNC tech support.

“The forces that were at work in 2016 were unlike anything that I’ve ever seen or read about,” Clinton said in her first significant TV interview since the election.

Perhaps the hand of god?

“What gets almost zero press attention is the sneakier folks, Mr. Obama included. Truth is, no man has done more to poison the possibilities for fixing America’s broken immigration system than our 44th president. ” …

“Mr. Obama’s double-dealing begins with his time as junior senator from Illinois, when he helped sabotage a bipartisan immigration package supported by George W. Bush and Ted Kennedy. Mr. Obama’s dissembling continued during the first two years of his own presidency, when he had the votes to pass an immigration bill if he had chosen to push one. It was all topped off by his decision, late in his first term, to institute the policy on DACA that he himself had previously admitted was beyond his constitutional powers.” …

The president’s move, the Journal predicted, “will further poison the debate and make Republicans more reluctant to come to the negotiating table and cut a deal.” The editorial went on: “One begins to wonder if anything this President does is about anything larger than his re-election.” ”

“As secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, a little more than five years ago I signed the directive that created the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. On Tuesday, President Trump ended DACA on little more than a whim. On Friday, in my capacity as president of the University of California, I filed a lawsuit in federal court seeking to prevent the government from stripping DACA recipients of their ability to live, study and work in our country free from fear of deportation.”
http://www.latimes.com/opinion/op-ed/la-oe-napolitano-daca-lawsuit-20170908-story.html

Given large number of suits already filed WHY is Napolitano spending university and CA taxpayer dollars on something which will fail in the Courts? Is she trying to deflect blame which belongs to her due to her action in 2012 and perhaps an attempt to quiet a guilty conscience?

DACA was nothing more than a cold and heartless ploy to gain reelection votes for Obama. It was not a path to citizenship, had no immunity and no amnesty, it was nothing more than cruel false hope.

President Obama and Democrat controlled Congress in first years of his administration could have solved immigration issues but President and both parties in Congress were to cowardly to act.
They feared not being able to get reelected if they passed immigration reform.

President Trump’s action on DACA was done to get career politicians off their dead butts and do what they were elected to do, pass laws.

U.S. Congress under Article 1, Section 8, Clause 4 of US Constitution gives ONLY to Congress the power “To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization”.

Always remember, almost all career politicians are NOT public servants.

Now Hillary’s blaming Bernie Sanders for her loss…

Hillary Clinton says Bernie Sanders’s reluctance to concede the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination before the party’s convention was disrespectful, hurtful and stood in stark contrast to the way she handled her primary loss to Barack Obama in 2008.

“I had such a different experience in ’08,” Clinton said in an interview with the “Pod Save America” podcast that was posted on Tuesday. “Once it was over, it was over. And I quickly endorsed President Obama. I worked really hard to get him elected. I was still arguing with my supporters at the Denver convention, telling people, ‘Don’t be ridiculous. You’ve got to vote for Senator Obama, at the time.’ And I was thrilled when he got elected.”

“I didn’t get anything like that respect from Sanders and his supporters,” Clinton said. “And it hurt. You know, to have basically captured the nomination, ending up with more than 4 million votes than he had. And he dragged it out.”

“I won, really, by March and April, but he just kept going,” Clinton told NPR’s “Morning Edition.” “And he and his followers’ attacks on me kept getting more and more personal, despite him asking me not to attack him personally. And, you know, I really regret that. But now he’s got a chance to prove he’s something other than a spoiler. And that is, to help Democrats. And I don’t know if he will or not, but I’m hoping he will.”

Sanders formally endorsed Clinton on July 12, 2016 — two weeks before the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia — and campaigned for Clinton during the general election.

On the podcast, Clinton reiterated an argument she presents in her campaign memoir, “What Happened”: that the independent Vermont senator, a self-described democratic socialist, is not a true Democrat.

“Why would we be surprised? He’s not a Democrat,” she said. “And that’s not a slam on him — that is just a repetition of what he says about himself.”

Hillary has no shame nor any ideai of what it means to be accountable. She CONSISTENTLY blames everyone else for her failures – and that is aa perfect example of why she’s not the president…and never should be.

OG
DACA is not an immigration law. It states it is a deferral of action regarding enforcement against a population group. Under the executives power to enforce the law, DACA says that action will be deferred. There is no amnesty, path to citizenship, or immunity (and was never said to be) because that would be the legislatures job.

You may recall that the primary legislative objective in President Obama’s first years was to create a health insurance program that covered people who had not previously had health insurance. After hundreds of meetings and public hearings, Democrats successfully passed their bill. What is the R’s primary legislative agenda? They control government the way the D’s did in 2009.

Having raised rate already this year to 1.25% doubt they will raise this meeting. Federal Reserve is in process of unloading part of it’s $4.5-trillion securities portfolio bought as part of stimulus or propping up of Obama’s long dismal recovery.

One of few moments of candid clarity for then Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke July 17, 2013, “I don’t think the Fed can get interest rates up very much, because the economy is weak, inflation rates are low. If we were to tighten policy, the economy would tank.”

Nice to see echoing of what I have already mentioned in several posts.
Had there been actually been valid media concerned about reporting the truth rather than advancing the Democrat agenda they might have reported the travesty perpetrated on those DACA supposedly helped back in 2012. Obama lacked the stones to even do it himself he had Janet Napolitano Secretary of Homeland Security do it by issuing a MEMORANDUM. That way if DACA blew up in his face he would merely blame Napolitano and toss her under the bus.
See post # 1 for details.

Additionally had President Obama or career politicians in Congress actually cared about these kids they would have taken steps to settle the problem rather than scurrying away like cockroaches from the light. Leaving these kids to an uncertain future of perpetual worry.

But 2012 was after all a reelection year and DACA was a great way to get votes. At least we can now see who Obama was focused on, himself being reelected. Nice way to use those kids giving them false hope.

For all the wailing, gnashing of teeth and chest beating going on since President Trump put Congress between a rock and a hard place people should be thanking him for setting a goal of SIX MONTHS.

Here’s the whole enchilada:

“Those Were The Days” Lyrics
Archie And Edith Bunker

Boy the way Glenn Miller Played
Songs that made the Hit Parade
Guys like us we had it made
Those were the days.

And you knew who you were then
Girls were girls and men were men
Mister, we could use a man like Herbert Hoover again

Didn’t need no Welfare states
Everybody pulled his weight
Gee our old LaSalle ran great
Those were the days

People seemd to be content
$50 payed the rent
Freaks were in a circus tent
Those were the days

Take a little Sunday spin
Tonight I’ll watch the Dodgers win
Have yourself a dandy day that costs you under a fin

Hair was short and skirts were long
Kate Smith really sung the song
I don’t know just what went wrong

THOSE WERE THE DAYS!

Geez!

What Happened? Lots of comments on Hillary’s new book. For example:

“Hillary had a reputation during her White House years for treating those outside her immediate circle with complete distain. Military aides, Secret Service, and others assigned to protective details.

A retired female Secret Service agent who’d had a distinguished career and was on Hillary’s detail (in fact she held the record for lasting the longest on it), backed up everything I’d ever heard about HRC’s shabby treatment of those she saw as “little people.”

Hillary, I hate to break this to you, but in the age of the internet, this stuff always comes out.

Even today, you showed little regard for the folks who lined up at your first book signing. Not even giving a speech or thanking the hundreds who waited for you even though you were more than an hour late for the event.

So please, it’s not misogyny, it’s YOU.”

Hillary Clinton’s book signing was as insufferable as you’d expect
http://nypost.com/2017/09/12/hillary-clintons-book-signing-was-as-insufferable-as-youd-expect/

115 Forsythe September 13, 2017 at 6:37 AM

Among the enduring criticisms of Hillary Clinton: Her sense of entitlement is limitless. She’s tone-deaf and doesn’t understand the average American — nor does she care to.

Add to this a gaping lack of self-awareness, and you have all the ingredients for the New York City launch of Hillary’s nationwide book tour Tuesday morning (also primary day, not that Hillary — who maintains she’s still here only for us — cares about that either).

Hillary’s advertised arrival time was 11 a.m., which came and went. Hundreds of people were penned in on a top floor, with thousands more waiting outside in 80-degree heat.

All bags had to be checked, so people didn’t have food or water. Yet most retained their excitement: If they couldn’t have Hillary as president, this was the next best thing.

Thirty more minutes went by, then forty.

And it wasn’t as though people could read Hillary’s book while waiting: They wouldn’t get their copy until they approached the dais, where Hillary would then generically sign it.

Of course, perhaps this treatment could be excused for crowd-control reasons.

Finally, amid wild applause, Clinton made her way up to a raised platform.

And then . . . she sat down and started signing.

No hello to the crowd, no thanks for the hours of waiting — let alone decades of support — no apology for or acknowledgment of being an hour late, or losing the most consequential election in American history. Not a single word. She just started signing.

Reagan would not only have authorized the use of pepper spray on violent demonstrators on UC Berkeley campus, he would have and did authorize the use of tear gas by the National Guard, and riot police, for crowd control. That along with imposing a curfew brought violent demonstrations and days of destructive protests including property damage to an end.

Another wondrous benefit America experienced during Obama years was releasing of convicted criminal illegals who had served their terms of incarceration and were released back onto OUR streets simply because countries they came from refused to take them back. For EIGHT YEARS.

“The Obama administration has released “tens of thousands” of illegal aliens convicted of crimes in the U.S. because their home countries refused to take them back.

“Criminal illegal aliens released by the Obama administration between 2009 and 2011 went on to be charged with 19 murders, three attempted murders and 142 sex crimes, a House Judiciary Committee report previously documented.”
http://www.wnd.com/2014/05/illegals-freed-by-obama-later-commit-19-murders/

“ICE Document Details 36,000 Criminal Alien Releases in 2013”
https://cis.org/ICE-Document-Details-36000-Criminal-Alien-Releases-2013

A “substantial number” of those involve serious crimes, a government official said Thursday during a House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on so-called recalcitrant countries.”
http://dailycaller.com/2016/07/14/obama-admin-has-released-tens-of-thousands-of-criminal-illegal-aliens-because-their-home-countries-wont-take-them-back/

Even in last year of the Obama administration he couldn’t manage to teleprompter lecture countries into taking their criminals back.
“30 Countries Are Refusing To Take Back Illegal Immigrants Convicted Of Serious Crimes”
http://dailycaller.com/2017/03/18/30-countries-are-refusing-to-take-back-illegal-immigrants-convicted-of-serious-crimes/

An here we are in only the first year of President Trump and number of countries refusing has been cut way down.

July 2017
“Countries that refuse to take back illegals cut in half, ‘big’ win for Trump”

Democrats should be so proud of how their President kept them and their children safe by deporting criminal illegals and sealing the border.

Just a few of MANY.
“A man from Mexico who had been deported from the U.S. 10 times in the last six years faces charges accusing him of raping a child in Kansas.”

Chavez’s criminal record includes assault and drug convictions and arrests for violent acts including kidnapping, car jacking and cruelty to a child.

Per AP and Democrat Congressional leadership there has been agreement on DACA.

“The top House and Senate Democrats said Wednesday they had reached agreement with President Donald Trump to protect thousands of younger immigrants from deportation and fund some border security enhancements — not including Trump’s long-sought border wall.

The deal announced by Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer and House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi following a White House dinner would enshrine protections for the nearly 800,000 immigrants brought illegally to this country as kids who had benefited from former President Barack Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, program.”

TRUMP’S BIPARTISAN POLITICS ONLY SURPRISING BECAUSE OF OBAMA”
– Michael Goodwin, New York Post

West Wing Reads
■ “TRUMP’S BIPARTISAN POLITICS ONLY SURPRISING BECAUSE OF OBAMA”
– Michael Goodwin, New York Post
Michael Goodwin of the New York Post writes that President Trump’s recent decision to reach a bipartisan deal with Democratic leaders “is good for the nation,” saying it marks a welcome departure from the last eight years of partisan posturing in the executive branch. Much like President Ronald Reagan, Trump’s bipartisan efforts have the potential to make him a part of history’s “most successful presidents achieving big legislative victories with votes from both parties.” Goodwin concludes by saying while there is no guarantee for success, “history consistently rewards those presidents whose leadership produces results that reflect a broad consent of the governed.”

■ On tax reform, the Washington Examiner’s Susan Ferrechio reports GOP lawmakers should expect to see a tax reform plan sometime during the week of September 25th. According to House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI), “there is going to be an outline that is released that reflects the consensus of the tax writing committees and the administration.”

■ On the issue of narcotics, in The Baltimore Sun, former Governor of Maryland Bob Ehrlich and policy consultant Jim Pettit write that “President Donald Trump has correctly identified the opioid crisis as a national emergency,” also mentioning the work of HHS Secretary Price and the White House Opioid Commission.

■ In economic news, Washington Times columnist Jennifer Harper reports on recent Gallup polling which shows that “two-thirds of the public now says their living circumstances are getting better, 80 percent of the nation say they are ‘satisfied’ with their current standard of living, and the…’well-being index’ now stands at 54, a record high.”

■ Regarding Obamacare, the Investor’s Business Daily editorial board writes that newly released census data shows that “ObamaCare is driving middle-class families — who face the full brunt of ObamaCare’s annual double-digit premium hikes — out of the insurance market,” with the data indicating “that the number of people buying insurance on their own fell slightly.”

@143 Elwood…..I’m glad you caught on. The liberals LOVE to preach about tolerance, diversity, togetherness, freedom of speech, inclusion, and so on.

Yet it’s the liberals who make up “antifa” (anti First Amendment) and resort to personal insults when anyone disagrees with them. And as evidenced by those demonstrations in Berkeley, Oakland and liberal cities, one can “lump together” the liberals with the rioters and others promoting violence.

And one only needs to look at the postings by liberals on this blog – I would say that NONE of them have taken the looters/demonstraters to task for their violent actions…..which tells me that these very same liberals here are ADVOCATING said violence. You’re either for it or against it….. and their silence speaks volumes.

And they should be treated as such.

147 Fred P. September 15, 2017 at 7:49 AM
