Dental Assistant Who Worked in Concord Pleads Guilty to Molesting Underage Patients

A dental assistant who worked in Concord pleaded guilty this morning to five counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 years old, Contra Costa County prosecutors said.

Alejandro Saro of Antioch made his plea at 8:30 a.m. in a Martinez courtroom before Judge Patricia Scanlon. The guilty plea included an enhancement for having contact with more than one victim, Deputy District
Attorney Aron DeFerrari said.

Saro will spend 25 years to life in prison when he is sentenced on Sept.22.

Saro was arrested on April 2, 2016, on suspicion of molesting a sedated 8-year-old girl in the dental office where he worked. Since then, police identified four other victims.

Saro worked at La Clinica Monument at 2000 Sierra Road where some of the victims were molested after Saro started there in March 2015.

Saro also worked at Patino Orthodontics at 2751 Concord Blvd. where at least one victim was molested, police said.

According to DeFerrari, the victims were courageous in coming forward and were able to prevent Saro from possibly abusing anyone else.

The first allegation was made by a girl who said that he touched and photographed her vaginal area as she was being sedated in an exam room.

DeFerrari also praised the Concord Police Department whose officers “used community outreach and compassion for the victims and their families that made it possible to achieve this result today.”

Saro’s attorney, Evan Kuluk with the county’s Alternate Defender’s Office, was not immediately available for comment.

25 years to life.! Murders get less sentence than that. Seems pretty harsh considered other violent crimes get less time.

If thats not enough time Bob? How about six feet under?

Bob- although I see what you are saying, I’m wondering if you’d think differently if one of those kids was your son or daughter? Can’t put a price on messing up kids for possibly life. I’ve been these kids….it’s taken me over 30 years to process it.

That worthless piece of garbage should be handed over to the parents of those children and let them take care of him. Tax dollars shouldnt pay a penny to keep that maggot feed and clothed. I know if thaf was my child I would love for the judge to hand him over to me. I would torture him to ALMOST death EVERYDAY for ALONG time he would be begging me to just kill him and then when i felt like letting him finally die he would die the most painful way i could figure out. Scumbags like him ruun that childs life and they make me so sick and it pisses me off beyond belief that they are put in” PROTECTIVE CUSTODY” and it disqusts me that 1 cent of tax payers money goes towards feeding them, housing them, clothing them and keeping them in PROTECTIVE CUSTODY. Why protect them those innocent children were not protected.

I was pleasantly surprised to read 25 years to life. Either they’re cracking down on pedophiles, or he has a long criminal record.

He is exactly the reason we need the death penalty. Hopefully someone in prison will give him what he deserves. Those poor, poor children he abused.

Am I the only one who noticed his jacked up goatee, the little flava sva portion is like at a 45 degree angle!!

His punishment absolutely, positively, HAS to include the use of dental instruments, preferably in the hands of the victims parents.

It’s writte all over his face. Who hired him? wake up and stop hiring these morons in your dental offices.

There isn’t a severe enough punishment for this piece of garbage. Put him in general population in prison and let nature take its course.

But where is the phrase “Without Possibility of Parole”?

This guy assisted in my husband’s oral exam at another dental office a few years ago. He looked like his personal hygiene might’ve left something to be desired. I asked him a couple of questions, one was if he could repeat what he’d just said, and his composure seemed way off. Eye contact with him was creepy city.

That is an awesome sentence, considering what some murderers get.

Throw that waste in with the general population, and let him “experience” that “prison justice”!

Does anyone know what the county’s “Alternate Defenders Office” is, as referenced in the last sentence of this article? Maybe no Attorneys in the Public Attorneys office could stand the sight of this guy so they had to appoint someone from this other office?

Had he video recorded it…..there would be no charges since creators of child porn never get charged…….only alleged viewers.

We’re talking about kids here under 10 years old he deserves every last bit of that sentence…some teachers are getting a slap on the hand for having sex with minors under 16.
