“All we need to do is to tell N. Korea that we’ll park a couple of missile submarines off its coast.
End of threats.”

But when it comes to leadershipo of N. Korea it’s like Ron White says

FYI. “DONALD Trump has sent two nuclear submarines towards North Korea ramping up fears of war breaking out. ”

“A U.S. Navy strike group will be moving toward the western Pacific Ocean near the Korean peninsula as a show of force, a U.S. official told Reuters on Saturday, as concerns grow about North Korea’s advancing weapons program.” 04/09/2017

“US Navy guided-missile sub calls in South Korea”

Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group Deployment Extended for Korea Presence Operations

Submarine USS OLYMPIA SSN 717 Western Pacific
Take a look at how many attack subs are home ported in Hawaii and Guam and add up

N Korean Pucker Factor
USS MICHIGAN SSGN 727 Nuclear-Powered Guided Missile Attack Submarine
154 x BGM-109 Tomahawk surface-to-surface cruise missiles.
BGM-109 Tomahawk

Probably half a dozen US NAVY subs off N. Korea.

Pony August 11, 2017 at 7:21 PM

All this bs with North Korea is the best thing that can happen to Trump. Distract the news from the investigations. I am sure that Donald will find a way to bring it back front and center tho.

Because person “no longer had standing in the case.” ?????

Some may want to sit down and think on this awhile.

President Trump after complaining was evicted from Oval office and has left The White House.

“Movers began setting up camp outside just hours after the president departed on Air Force One.”

The world is laughing at you.

Nuclear nerves wipe $1 TRILLION off world stocks as investors take cover in safe haven assets including gold and government bonds during US-North Korea missile stand-off

KJ August 11, 2017 at 8:26 PM

As though wars in Afghanistan, Syria, and Iraq (and likely a few more countries we never hear about), Trump wants to start one with North Korea, and Venezuela (why?). Did Venezuela tell Eric or Junior they couldn’t build a T-tower or golf course there?

Even Texas doesn’t want a war with Venezuela. Apparently, a lot of the Texas refineries are gear to handle only the kind of oil found in Venezuela, and they refine a LOT of it.

I’m going to assume Trump is just blowing hot air; anything to try to distract his base from hearing about all the Russian and Mafia crooks he’s been doing “business” with for the past couple decades.

Silva August 11, 2017 at 8:57 PM

Maybe he thinks if he gets us into a nuclear war we won’t find out what’s going on between him and Putin, and any of the other dirty deeds. Protecting his image is foremost.

Original G August 11, 2017 at 9:59 PM

US markets needed an excuse to sell off and take profits.
The 52 Week Range for Costco 52 Week Range 142.11 – 183.18
for Apple stock 102.53 – 161.83.

Companies and stock markets need two major conditions to thrive,
political stability and regulatory certainty. Finally after 8 years of chaos there is a chance of stability and certainty returning.

Then Democrat Congressman wrote an OP ED for The Hill in 2011.

Back in 2014 Steve Wynn Democrat and casino owner said about obama administration, “I am stunned at the immaturity of this administration. … We elected a man as president who had no experience at anything.”

Now that political stability and regulatory uncertainty have a chance may put money back into the market and perhaps take some of it and day trade 1 – 2% spreads.

What would be ideal for the country would be to vote out corrupt career politicians of both parties who care more about holding power and re-election than they do about We The People.

Could it be, that some Americans are so short-sighted as to not see that all this turmoil is made by Putin, who supplies Kim with rockets and weapons, that NKorea could never produce itself? If China declares war on the US which it says it will do if Trump attacks N Korea, which side do you think Putin will take? Just as China sees an opportunity to establish control of the South China Seas so Russia might seize the chance to sort out the Ukrainians. America has never been weaker because of the bozo in charge.

Ultra-Leftist Publication, The Nation finds no evidence of Trump-Russia collusion.

Here’s Rush Limbaugh’s perspective:

The Nation is a radical left media outlet. It wanted to get to the bottom of the Russian collusion story. In their world somebody is going to pay because Hillary was going to win.

Hillary Clinton, who is a communist, for all intents and purposes, got jobbed.

The Nation, and the rest of the media, believed their polling data. They believed that Trump is an idiot that nobody would support. The Nation now know’s Trump didn’t do it. They know the Russians didn’t do it. They want to know who really did it.

That person’s name is Debbie “Blabbermouth” Schultz.

P.S. Congressman Mark DeSaulnier still needs to retract his silly Russian press releases.

Randy August 12, 2017 at 2:22 PM

@27. Rush Limblob. Are you kidding.

“Mr Humphrey is a longstanding critic of Mr Trump. Last year he called the billionaire businessman a “sociopath” with a “severe personality disorder”. After initially backing John Kasich for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination, he later endorsed Hillary Clinton for president, despite her being a Democrat.”

Well, that settles it then. When someone with Mr. Humphrey’s level of expertise in such matters speaks, it should be written in stone. Not to mention his obvious bipartisan leanings.

White racists and black racists. Both have a right to peacefully protest and assemble in our country. I don’t like their ideas, but I respect their right to speak.

The police should vigorously protect peaceful protestors from counter protestors who try to shut them down through violence of threats.

DogLover August 12, 2017 at 7:52 PM

Google is useless for conservative searches –
Political intimidation within the company is a daily barrage of SJW postings mixed in with company business, so they cannot be deleted or ignored. Those who answer back are threatened, sent to H.R. for indoctrination and thought-policing, fired, and also blacklisted.
Here is what it is like to work at Google:
Posts made internally by people who are very clearly proselytizing what amounts to religious dogma (of the social justice variety), and of course no one dares contradict it, because everybody knows it’s a quick trip to H.R. if you dare say anything against the antisocial order.
Many Google engineers who could not cope with the constant hostility and the reminders that “you are not one of us” have left the company.
I remember Kim Burchett (high-ranking manager with a lot of reports) posting about how she’s “considering creating a list of people who make diversity difficult”. … commentary she posted on promotion committees, where she literally boos men and white people. …
I want to stress to you that these G+ posts, while “in principle” avoidable, are – along with mailing lists – the standard way in which people communicate to each other values, principles, and sometimes work items too. So, in order to perform your duties, you *must* be exposed to at least *some* of it. Which means in practice you cannot avoid people writing odious things about you or your political ideas, and (given the climate) you are not at liberty to reply to these people, because you’d be disciplined or fired. My understanding of California labor laws leads me to believe that has legal significance.

The Breitbart interviewer, Allum Bokhari, asked if the reports were true that Google employees in the advertising department encouraged customers to pull ads from Breitbart and The Rebel Media…….
“A number of friends have privately confirmed this to me. I know there are efforts to demote anything non-PC, anti-Communist and anti-Islamic terror from search results. … If you remember the YouTube “heroes” program, as well as the wave of demonetizations and age restrictions that hit popular anti-PC YouTubers (all of whom ended up having to move to Patreon), I think that speaks for itself. Now we have the owner of the well-known JihadWatch site, complaining that his ranking in Google Search has dropped enormously. These are all facts that can be verified by any third-party, so it’s not a matter of “he said she said”.

Bokhari’s next question was chilling:
YouTube is going to artificially promote progressive content, and manipulate search results using the “Jigsaw Redirect Method” to minimize the reach of potentially problematic videos, in addition to other new censorship techniques. For users of Google and its related services, is political censorship about to become the norm? How much of this is the result of internal pressure (from politicized employees) and how much of it is external (governments, advertisers)?

The answer?
[M]any people are leaving Google. And many of these ex-Googlers are people who were tired of having to cope with these corrupt ideologies and the people who proselytize them, support them, and punish people who disagree with them.

That means Google is leaking people with integrity. Let’s ask ourselves: who remains in charge, after that slow but certain evaporative cooling of beliefs? You do the math.

Unless the culture changes, I am afraid the answer to your question is: only a matter of time.

Bokhari asks if Google will listen to user outrage about P.C. censorship. The whistleblower’s reply:

Google is quite good at listening to both their users and their customers, with one exception: when what the users want is at odds with ideological dogmas widely held at Google. In that case, users don’t count. No one does.

Hillary’s Pastor compares her to Jesus!
Hillary may begin preaching from the pulpit!
Coincidentally… Evangelicals (who comprise about 25% of all voters in the USA) voted overwhelmingly for Trump (81%).
So now Hillary turns to religion….. what a surprise!

Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) – “We should call evil by its name. My brother didn’t give his life fighting Hitler for Nazi ideas to go unchallenged here at home. -OGH,”

Lest we forget, “White Supremacy” was what Hitler was all about. Hatch needs to get his fellow Republicans in Congress to root out the evil that is residing in the White House; the evil grifter that fanned the flames of racial hatred for the 8 years Obama was president.

John MCCain

Our Founders fought a revolution for the idea that all men are created equal. The heirs of that revolution fought a Civil War to save our nation, conceived in liberty and dedicated to that revolutionary proposition.

Nothing less is at stake on the streets of Charlottesville, Virginia, where a violent attack has taken at least one American life and injured many others in a confrontation between our better angels and our worst demons.

White supremacists and neo-Nazis are, by definition, opposed to American patriotism and the ideals that define us as a people and make our nation special.

As we mourn the tragedy that has occurred in Charlottesville, American patriots of all colors and creeds must come together to defy those who raise the flag of hatred and bigotry.

Black Lives Matter was responsible for cops being assassinated… but it’s still politically correct for the lefties to support it.
By comparison, nobody supports the Nazi’s or the KKK…
And don’t tell me Trump hasn’t denounced those guys already, it’s old news that he did, and that he did not want or accept their support for his election.
It’s the same old story…. double standards from the left, always blame the right (I’m surprised you guys haven’t blamed Bush for this one too….. at least not yet).

Always Right August 13, 2017 at 6:08 PM

The reality is this. As nasty and despicable as the KKK protesters are, they had a constitutional right to march and they did get permits to do it.

They deserved adequate police protection and once again local and state police departments failed miserably. The counter protesters had no permit. If they had been removed and/or controlled appropriately, this march would have been a non-event.

Aspirin August 13, 2017 at 6:11 PM

Retired LEO, so what standard should Trump be held to, the past eight years?

Silva August 13, 2017 at 6:57 PM

If the KKK has a constitutional right to demonstrate, why not the Crips and the Bloods? As long as they have a proper permit. And at different times, of course.

TIFOKCIS August 13, 2017 at 7:03 PM

Once again for the mentally challenged LIBERALS………………..

This is what happened in Charlottesville, since media is incapable of reporting:

-The Alt Right organized a peaceful assembly in Charlottesville called Unite the Right

-The organizers lawfully obtained a permit to host this event

-Wes Bellamy, the Vice-Mayor of Charlottesville, illegally revoked the permit for this event. Wes Bellamy is a known Leftist and is affiliated with the Black Panther Party, a Black supremacist organization

-The ACLU successfully sued Charlottesville for violating the First Amendment, and a Federal judge ruled that the permit must be reinstated and the right to assemble honored

-Unite the Right was scheduled to take place at 12:00pm today. At 11:30am, a heavily militarized police force illegally shut down the event, physically assaulting peaceful protesters with batons and tear gas. Several people were illegally arrested

-While evacuating, many protesters were illegally assaulted by counter-protesters from Antifa and Black Lives Matter as the police stood by and did nothing. Antifa and BLM members were recorded throwing bricks at people, using pepper spray, and throwing molotov cocktails and tear gas

-A terrorist drove his car straight in to a crowd of people, killing at least one. The state of Virginia declared a state of emergency with the National Guard on standby, and Charlottesville became the #1 news story in the world

-The lying media intentionally portrayed this all in a way to make it look like the peaceful protesters were the perpetrators of the violence, rather than the victims, despite heavy video evidence to the contrary

-This was an enormous breech of everyone’s First Amendment rights, and a violent police-state suppression of free speech that is now being hidden by the lying media. A LOT of lawsuits are incoming,

Silva August 13, 2017 at 7:18 PM

Events at Charlottesville, Virginia, similarly worded comments from Democrats and left media coverage need looking at.
Were counter protestors bused in and if so who paid for the buses?
Were Police told to allow violence to happen?

Is this going to be the fall back position of the left for rest of the year since the Russia thing isn’t as fresh as it once was?
‘Charlottesville mayor: There is a ‘direct line’ between Trump campaign and white supremacist rally’
What a coincidence last Republican Mayor left office in 1980.
What a surprise, violence happens in a city run by Democrats AGAIN.

Take note of left media coverage of supposed spontaneous protests in coming days only taking place in cities under Democrat control.
Will freeways in Oakland and BART be affected again?

Note, Wouldn’t any self respecting white supremacist make sure their most important symbol looked it’s best? Wouldn’t they make sure their flags would look their best for the cameras? In photos from Charlottesville protest flags still have fresh out of the package fold marks clearly visible.

Remember Ferguson,
“… Every time someone emerged from the jail they would scurry with the person to a nearby car, which had the engine running and the heat blasting.

The pair were one of several teams working in shifts to help some of the more than 100 people who were arrested during last week’s sometimes violent protests in Ferguson, Missouri. Their job was to help the newly released individuals get legal aid for upcoming court appearances.

Each person received a flyer with numbers to call for lawyers and legal advice. They were also offered a ride home.

The volunteers, who will return to the jail again on Monday after the holiday weekend, are part of a centralized team of lawyers and law school students pitching in from around the United States.

They are tapping into a sophisticated network of legal experts established over the past decade in the wake of high-profile mass demonstrations, including protests at the Republican National Convention in 2004 and the Occupy Wall Street protests in 2011.”

‘Billionaire George Soros spent $33MILLION bankrolling Ferguson demonstrators to create ‘echo chamber’ and drive national protests’

‘Justice demands 1.3M IP addresses related to Trump resistance site’

“The company is currently challenging the request. A hearing on the matter is scheduled for Friday in Washington.

“In essence, the Search Warrant not only aims to identify the political dissidents of the current administration, but attempts to identify and understand what content each of these dissidents viewed on the website,” the company’s general counsel, Chris Ghazarian, said in a legal argument opposing the request.

The web provider published a purported search warrant issued by the Superior Court of the District of Columbia that asks for records and information related to the website and its owner, along with information that could be used to identify subscribers of the website.

This includes “names, addresses, telephone numbers and other identifiers, e-mail addresses, business information, the length of service (including start date), means and source of payment for services (including any credit card or bank account number), and information about any domain name registration.”

The warrant, dated July 12, says that authorities will seize any information constituting violations of D.C. code governing riots that involve individuals connected to the protests on Inauguration Day.

More than 200 people were indicted on felony rioting charges in connection with the protests in Washington on Jan. 20.”

Another right wing terrorist out to destroy the United Sates. Thanks Chmup.

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — An Oklahoma man was arrested early Saturday after he attempted to detonate what he thought was an explosives-laden van next to an Oklahoma City bank, federal prosecutors say.

According to a criminal complaint filed in the Western District of Oklahoma yesterday, the FBI arrested 23-year-old Jerry Drake Varnell of Sayre after he attempted to detonate the device, which was actually inert. The complaint says Varnell initially wanted to blow up the Federal Reserve Building in Washington, D.C., with a device similar to the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing, because he was upset with the government. Varnell allegedly claimed to embrace the “Three Percenter” ideology, referring to a far-right anti-government group.

Homegrown Extremists Tied to Deadlier Toll Than Jihadists in U.S. Since 9/11

WASHINGTON — In the 14 years since Al Qaeda carried out attacks on New York and the Pentagon, extremists have regularly executed smaller lethal assaults in the United States, explaining their motives in online manifestoes or social media rants.

But the breakdown of extremist ideologies behind those attacks may come as a surprise. Since Sept. 11, 2001, nearly twice as many people have been killed by white supremacists, antigovernment fanatics and other non-Muslim extremists than by radical Muslims: 48 have been killed by extremists who are not Muslim, including the recent mass killing in Charleston, S.C., compared with 26 by self-proclaimed jihadists, according to a count by New America, a Washington research center

As some of you know, I am a Sociology professor and I am a left-leaning liberal. With that said, I also try very hard to fact check my own comments & those of other posters. I try to teach my students to understand the other side (whatever that may be) and to think critically about world events. I also teach students that when they see injustices in the world they name it, then claim it and finally change it in their own small way. I do hold views that are different than my students, but I try very hard to make sure they feel safe to speak their own truth in my classrooms and that I respect that view and their right to hold it.

With that, I have to explain how sociologists define the term “white privilege”. Being white myself, it is often difficult to express to white students it is a very real phenomena. It is not about economics, that white people all have it financially better than people of color. More accurately, it is the ability of whites to operate in society without being questioned. We are the dominate culture, as white European people and we see the world in those terms. We do not have a history of oppression, we as a collective group were the oppressors. This is a hard thing to come to grips with, but historically, it is true. That does not mean YOU as an individual oppressed people, but YOU are a representation of the oppression.

I had to take a few days before I posted on what happened in Charlottesville, Virginia. I have tried to remain calm. But I need to speak up and make a few general comments.

1) WORDS MATTER!!! Whether from the right or the left, what we say and write matters. The internet has allowed for Keyboard Kommandos from both sides to attack each other and inject fallacies into the dominate conversation. This has led to a distrust of everything that one does not agree with and has been used in our politics to discredit fact based evidence. I find it useful to use AP, Reuters and a combination of the three major news outlets & various talk shows to understand the nuances of positions and sift through to find commonalities in evidence. We need to hold our leaders accountable for the words they use and the social conflicts those comments empower.

2) We need to accept positions other than our own as valid and begin a social discourse that allows facts and opinions to be recognized without using derogatory language to voice our opposition. I am the first to admit my guilt in using such language here on Claycord. I would challenge each user here to “up their game” and engage in productive dialogue that can affect the change and evolution of a society we can all participate in equally.

3) We must stop normalizing racial discord and hate as an American value. While there were many counter protestors that committed acts of violence, none of them attempted to mow down the Unite The Right participants. I believe they have the right to express their political views and would not impede on that right. But when you show up the night before torches in hand you are going to answer for that in the progressive South. They are a modern day reminder of an ugly racially violent past.

Those that gathered were empowered by a President who they see as supporting their world view. David Duke said as much Saturday before the violence erupted & the alt-right media conformed: “Trump’s initial comments drew praise from the neo-Nazi website Daily Stormer, which wrote: “Trump comments were good. He didn’t attack us. He just said the nation should come together. Nothing specific against us. … No condemnation at all.” The website had been promoting the Charlottesville demonstration as part of its “Summer of Hate” edition.”

I apologize and thank you if you have read all of this. As I said in the beginning, I challenge students to Name, Claim & Change the injustices they encounter. I believe in practicing what I preach. I have to say, The last 18 months have provided many real life examples and material to discuss with students.

@79 Not My President

Your “white privilege” explanation is fraught with worse stereotypes than any I’ve ever heard. Speak for yourself. I’m white and I have never enjoyed these “privileges” you mention. It is a catch phrase designed to vilify whites as perpetrators of injustice and make whites feel responsibke for the hatred of them expressed by other racial groups and WE DON’T BUY IT.

Giddyup August 15, 2017 at 1:49 PM

@79 Not My President

Social Science and Socioligy have completely undermined their fragile standing as “sciences” with the recent development that members of these disciplines are conducting research designed, not to gather and analyze empirical data, but to change public opinion. This has completely undermined the credibility of much of the current literature in the social sciences and sociology. As “sciences,” they both now rank somewhere in the general vicinity of “fake news” in to how well you can trust what they report to be true.

But there is so much more.

Alan R. August 15, 2017 at 2:56 PM

@#79 – NotMyPresident….

I take exception to your comments. I also note that many/most of the teachers/professors/instructors at the high school and college levels are not interested in the facts – but are more interested in pushing their own agenda.

1. Thinking critically is MUCH different than thinking objectively.

2. Your second paragraph states that (essentially) “white privilege” is the truth – and is therefore a fact. You (among others) have failed to prove anything regarding your claim – and so the statement is nothing more than an opinion. Opinions are not facts – or truth. The term “white privilege” is a convenient term used to attack the Caucasian race – SOLELY based on the color of their skin. One of the worst cases of racism I’ve ever seen.

And speaking of racism – what percent does it take to call a person white or black? Think about it. If it’s 50%, does it make the person black? Or white? And why? Note that you cannot just assign a color based on what they believe they are – that is NOT “science.” Shall we now look at affirmative action and how that’s defining privilege of other colors? Why is that not racism?

3. I find it interesting that you completely discount any right-leaning news organizations in your 4th paragraph – instead leaning towards the left. I’m assuming that is a manifestation of your already-acknowledged liberal beliefs, which is in direct conflict with what you state in your 5th paragraph.

4. Your 6th paragraph states that “none of them attempted to mow down the Unite The Right participants…” . Yet you have failed to acknowledge the riots and demonstrations (violence and injuries) in New York, San Francisco, Oakland, Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, Austin, Chicago, Boston, Eugene and Philadelphia – ALL by the liberals opposing Trump…. instead focusing on this ONE instance. And you have the unmitigated GALL to call this out – and proclaim yourself to be a “professor” who “tries hard to fact check [your] comments…”

You further state, “We must stop normalizing racial discord and hate as an American value….” Yet you’re doing EXACTLY what you want others to stop doing.

I notice that you also failed to note that Eric Clanton (a former DVC professor who taught philosophy with a background in teaching ethics, critical thinking, and comparative philosophy….” was arrested for ADW in causing injuries to THREE individuals in Berkeley. There are many more instances of injuries caused by liberals attacking conservatives/Trump supporters – yet you failed to adequately consider them in your diatribe. Did you ignore him because he wa a “professor” at DVC?

Your extensive words mean nothing when it’s obvious you’re not willing to even consider your own actions – other than writing about your own actions and beliefs…

I challenge YOU to get off of your soapbox and start thinking LOGICALLY and not just “critically.” Get all of the facts – not just what support your own preconceived beliefs. Your actions most certainly point out what giddyup has stated about social “science.”

And yes – I have advanced degrees in hard sciences (engineering) and have been employeed in the engineering field for 45+ years. And no, I am not white; I am a person of “color.” But I don’t look at myself as that – I’m a human. Lumping people into classes as you’re doing is (again) one of the worst forms of racism I’ve ever seen. I’m glad my children have never taken any classes from you.

Good day. Take your sociological outrage somewhere else. Or better yet, get a job…. a real one.

Always Right August 15, 2017 at 5:01 PM

@Alan R & @ Giddyup – kudos to both of you for your cogent defense of common sense and fair play.

Not My President ( post 79) is so obsessed with his own white guilt complex he has lost touch with reality. The reality for most white people is they live and work with other racial groups every day and treat them fairly and respectfully.

NMP says we should stop normalizing racial discord, yet that is exactly what NMP is doing – pitting one race against the others with the “white privilege” clap trap.

The key to racial harmony is living that way. Not revisiting generations old grievances and teaching our kids to be victims of feel guilty in any way about the color of their skin.

Really, it is not the nation tearing down statues, it is a handful of fascist marxist thugs doing that.

The shame of it is some police departments are standing down and not protecting property or people in the face of antifa fascism.

Please recall history. It is fascists who burn books, tear down statues, attack protesters, try to silence opponents through harassment and intimidation. The far left plays this game far more (and far more effectively) than the far right.

The political spectrum is not a line but a circle, and at the point where the far right and the far left meet you have a common point called fascism.

CEOs outraged after Charlottesville – and three quit Trump council

by Jill Disis @jdisis
President Trump’s initial failure to condemn white supremacy on Saturday was too much for Kenneth Frazier.

Early Monday morning, the head of the pharma giant Merck (MRK) — and one of America’s most prominent black CEOs — abruptly quit Trump’s manufacturing council.

Frazier’s message was clear: “America’s leaders must honor our fundamental values by clearly rejecting expressions of hatred, bigotry and group supremacy.”

One side was all white. All male. They carried flaming torches. They marched in formation, their arms in the nazi salute. They chanted nazi chants in unison. “Blood and soil!”, “Jews will not replace us!” One of their numbers purposely did great bodily injury to many counter protesters, and killed a woman. My relatives, Republicans and Southerners, went to war to liberate foreign soil from their ilk. David Duke (wearing his makeup, no doubt) praised their leader for his supportive words.

Mitch McConnell; “There are no good neo-Nazis”.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) released the following statement today condemning hate groups and reports of a rally in Lexington, Kentucky:

“The white supremacist, KKK, and neo-nazi groups who brought hatred and violence to Charlottesville are now planning a rally in Lexington. Their messages of hate and bigotry are not welcome in Kentucky and should not be welcome anywhere in America. We can have no tolerance for an ideology of racial hatred. There are no good neo-nazis, and those who espouse their views are not supporters of American ideals and freedoms. We all have a responsibility to stand against hate and violence, wherever it raises its evil head. The hate and bigotry witnessed in Charlottesville does not reflect American values. I wholeheartedly oppose their actions.”

Trump will be stumping next tuesday in Phoenix, attempting to fill the bottomless pit that is his need for the adulation of large crowds, as ever, trying to fill the empty vacuum that is his soul. I am still waiting to findr something Trump has said about Charlottesville that I disagree with. So far no luck with that. Everything he has said is 100% true, 100% fair, and 100% honest.

I voted for Trump with great hesitation and reluctance, but the more the unhinged left and the marxists/socialists attack him unjustly, the more I am inclined to support him.

In some respects it is refreshing to have a plain spoken president. He is starting to get the hang of interacting with the hostile press, and he is getting better at it.

The quote about Harry Truman in this case also applies to Trump:

Anon 101, here’s some;
Trump can use campaign funds for Trump Russia legal defense;
Trump’s weirdly premature announcement that he was kicking off his 2020 re-election campaign and soliciting funds and holding rallies to that end seemed an exercise in Narcissism and just a typical scam. This sheds a little more light on it: “The White House did not respond to requests for comment about how Trump would pay for his outside legal team, the cost of which cannot be covered by the federal government. But campaign finance lawyers said Trump could probably draw funds from his reelection committee to cover legal expenses related to the Russia inquiries, including money donated this year. “When it comes to legal expenses, the test is whether the expenses would have been incurred irrespective of the campaign,” said Daniel Petalas, a Washington campaign-finance lawyer who served as the Federal Election Commission’s acting general counsel and head of enforcement. “So if the allegation is Trump — either as candidate or officeholder — is facing legal costs as a result of those statuses, then he is entitled to use his campaign funds to defray the legal expenses.” In a break from precedent, Trump’s campaign committee has continued to aggressively solicit donations since his election. In recent days, the email and text appeals have invoked the controversies swirling around the White House.

Pence might be able to use campaign funds to pay for attorney;
“The Federal Election Commission prohibits individuals from using campaign funds for personal use, but legal services sparked by an office holder’s official work could be deemed appropriate, according to FEC regulations. ‘The Commission decides on a case-by-case basis whether legal expenses are considered ”personal use” and thus are expenses that a candidate may not pay for using campaign funds,’ FEC guidelines read. ‘In several advisory opinions the Commission has said that campaign funds may be used to pay for up to 100% of legal expenses related to campaign or officeholder activity, where such expenses would not have occurred had the individual not been a candidate or officeholder.”‘

Latest malignant “creation” or useful tool for Democrat party, “Antifa”.

“Violence Erupts In Portland Amid Alt-Right, Anti-Fascist Rallies
This city has been preparing for war for a week.”
“The Debacle At Berkeley”

‘The Roots of Left-Wing Violence’

Democrats do your own research into origins of LOGO currently being used by Anti Trump “Antifa” on their T shirts and flags. You will find origin is from 1932 Germany.

“Antifaschistische Aktion was proclaimed by the German Communist Party (KPD) in their newspaper Rote Fahne in 1932 and held its first rally in Berlin on 10 July 1932, then capital of the Weimar Republic.”

Does that origin and what they stand for represent you values and beliefs?
Do you support Communist ideals and Communism?

Democrat party is desperate to get back the Black Voter block in time for the mid term elections and Presidential elections in 2020. Their plan is three fold spank the Southern states for voting them out of office over past decade, getting back Black voters and stirring up Black voters so they show up on election day.

May 4, 2016
“CNN contributor Van Jones has taken to Facebook with a video in which he warns that Trump is likely to win the election because of his mastery of the new social media landscape of today. This might be true, but his electoral math is more interesting:” …
“In order for the Democrats to win the White House they don’t have to get 50 percent of the black vote or 60, or 70, or 80, or 90, Democrats in order to win historically need 90 to 92 percent of the black vote. If only 70 percent don’t like Donald Trump, that means 30 percent are open to his argument. If he gets half of those, he’s president.”

“Let this sink in slowly. Ensuring that Democrats continue to receive black votes in a monolithic block, it is in their interest for blacks to remain poor and resentful …”

” If blacks in larger numbers entered the middle class, more of them would likely start voting Republican. No wonder the left makes sure to reinforce the idea that your skin color or ethnicity should determine your ideology and your vote, and why dissenters like Clarence Thomas are demonized.”

Is this the reason Democrats never seem to be able to make lives of Blacks in large cities they run better?

Highest murder rates St. Louis, Baltimore, Detroit, New Orleans, Newark, NJ, Milwaukee, Washington, DC, Kansas City, Cincinnati, Memphis, Oakland, Atlanta, Chicago, …. you get the idea.

St. Louis has been electing Democratic mayors since 1949.
Both Baltimore and Oakland had Republican mayors as late as the 1960s.
Detroit last elected a Republican mayor in 1957.
Last Republican mayor of New Orleans elected in 1870.
Newark, N.J., hasn’t had a GOP mayor in more than a century.
Milwaukee had a Republican mayor last in 1908.
Washington, DC has never elected a Republican Mayor.
Last republican Mayor of Kansas City left office 1991.
Cincinnati, OH hasn’t elected a republican Mayor since 1984.
Last republican Mayor of Atlanta left office in 1879.
Last republican Mayor of Memphis left office in 1886.
Chicago’s last Republican mayor was elected in 1927.

If democrats really cared about Blacks and were tough on crime shouldn’t they have made a difference in these cities by now?
They have after all, had more than enough time.

“[New Orleans Mayor] Landrieu rejects the notion that the Confederate monuments are about history. “And it immediately begs the questions, why there are no slave ship monuments, no prominent markers on public land to remember the lynchings or the slave blocks,” he said in a speech last week. The monuments, erected years after the Civil War, were all about white supremacy and terrorism, just as the war was all about maintaining slavery and white supremacy.”

Giddyup August 17, 2017 at 4:29 PM

I celebrate Confederate antiquities as mementos of a time gone by. Removing them is destroying precious history which can direct us in dealing with the present. With no reminders of the past, it is easier for those events to happen, again. Rather than purging history, it should be used to teach about the Civil War, because from a lot I’ve read by people who think they are justified in removing all traces of the Confereracy, many are shockingly ignorant about why they were fighting. The artwork represented by the statuary is beautiful and classical. What an incredible shame to deprive the poor residents of these areas of the beauty of classic statuary. Maybe they will replace them with gaudy, crude street murals of famous rappers, as we see society deyeriorating to a more base level daily when run by an “angry mob” mentality.

As a person with family connections to the south, though I often wondered about it, I used to think it was okay to have graven images of leaders of the rebellion and confederate flags in public places. As it was explained to me, it was simply part of the history of the south, and I respect history. Later I came to understand how it affects a great many of my fellow Americans, some the descendants of slaves, and how some still revere such things as part of a lost, but perfect glory. There would be no USofA as we know it without those slaves. We no longer have slave auction blocks anywhere I know of, but it hasn’t erased slavery. Nothing ever will. It happened. There are still many artifacts of slavery in museums. The civil war monuments belong in museums, Civil War graveyards, private gardens, etc. Here is a great little article which explains the history of Civil War monuments in the context of the times in which most of them were created;

This was written by one of my friends earlier today;

I went to university in Baltimore in the 70’s. As a college student at the train station remember seeing two sets of drinking fountains, with the faded outline of a sign to direct each race to the “correct” fountain. I also remember seeing 2 sets of public bathrooms (just two men’s rooms and two ladies rooms); no longer racially marked, but two sets that reminded us of our segregated past. What must it have been like for my friends of color to see those vestiges of segregation every single day? What must it be like today to see the Confederate flag (a symbol of division and oppression) waved in their faces? To see statues celebrating slave owners who wanted to continue the status quo and to continue to own other people? The year is 2017. It is past time to put these relics from our shameful past into a museum. We mustn’t forget our history, but we should not celebrate this bigotry. Proud of Baltimore!

We ALL have ancestors who were enslaved, mistreated, abused, imprisioned, hearded like animals. But, we don’t demand that everyone else see everything through our own tiny perspective on life. What a miserable way to live, when things are your boogiemen!

If djt continues to be ineffective at getting anything done it is quite possible that the Democrats will retake control of Congress in 2018. Articles of impeachment could be drawn on the first day. I wouldn’t be surprised that if that were to happen VP Pence could get swept up in the same issues and shown the door as well.

The result? President Pelosi!

General Robert E. Lee opposed Confederate monuments;
“I think it wiser,” the retired military leader wrote about a proposed Gettysburg memorial in 1869, “…not to keep open the sores of war but to follow the examples of those nations who endeavored to obliterate the marks of civil strife, to commit to oblivion the feelings engendered.” Lee died in 1870, just five years after the Civil War ended, contributing to his rise as a romantic symbol of the “lost cause” for some white southerners. But while he was alive, Lee stressed his belief that the country should move past the war. He swore allegiance to the Union and publicly decried southern separatism, whether militant or symbolic. “It’s often forgotten that Lee himself, after the Civil War, opposed monuments, specifically Confederate war monuments,” said Jonathan Horn, the author of the Lee biography, “The Man Who Would Not Be Washington.” In his writings, Lee cited multiple reasons for opposing such monuments, questioning the cost of a potential Stonewall Jackson monument, for example. But underlying it all was one rationale: That the war had ended, and the South needed to move on and avoid more upheaval. “As regards the erection of such a monument as is contemplated,” Lee wrote of an 1866 proposal, “my conviction is, that however grateful it would be to the feelings of the South, the attempt in the present condition of the Country, would have the effect of retarding, instead of accelerating its accomplishment; [and] of continuing, if not adding to, the difficulties under which the Southern people labour.” The retired Confederate leader, a West Point graduate, was influenced by his knowledge of history. “Lee believed countries that erased visible signs of civil war recovered from conflicts quicker,” Horn said. “He was worried that by keeping these symbols alive, it would keep the divisions alive.”

The great-great-grandsons of Thomas ‘Stonewall’ Jackson said the monument to the legendary Confederate general and others in Virginia’s capital city were constructed as symbols of white supremacy and should be taken down. Brothers William ‘Jack’ Jackson Christian and Warren Edmund Christian wrote a letter to Richmond Mayor Levar Stoney, published by Slate on Wednesday, asking that their ancestor’s statute and all others honoring the Confederate cause be taken down from the city’s Monument Avenue. ‘They are overt symbols of racism and white supremacy, and the time is long overdue for them to depart from public display,’ they wrote.

Is there anybody in this whole country who isn’t overly sensitive or butt hurt about something that happened up to 300 years ago?

Dennis August 18, 2017 at 7:28 AM

I see some of the socialist Dems are back to their perennial demands that we destroy memorials to Washington and Jefferson, because they weren’t abolitionists.
It is a strategic goal of Socialism to destroy all our icons, because we will invalidate the government they built as well. Not just statues and street names: they also attack iconic non-socialist Hollywood.
Atop their lists? John Wayne , Jimmy Stewart, and others who represent the USA at it’s finest in WW2.

This illustrates something that even a lot of liberals don’t always get. Most of these monuments were not erected right after the Civil War. In fact, all the way to 1890 there were very few statues or monuments dedicated to Confederate leaders. Most of them were built much later. And since I’m not an academic, I feel comfortable squeezing this history into a very short, oversimplified summary:

1861-1865: Civil War.

1865-1875: Reconstruction Era.

1875-1895: Reconstruction Era ends. Blacks are steadily disenfranchised, allowing Southern whites to enact Jim Crow laws. In 1896, Jim Crow is cemented into place when the Supreme Court rules it constitutional.

1895-1915: With blacks disenfranchised and Jim Crow laws safely in place, Southern whites begin a campaign of terror against blacks. Lynchings skyrocket, the KKK becomes resurgent, and whites begin building Confederate statues and monuments in large numbers.

1915-1955: Jim Crow reigns safely throughout the South.

1955-1970: The civil rights era starts after the Supreme Court rules in Brown v. Board of Education that Jim Crow laws are unconstitutional. Southern whites mount massive and violent resistance, and start putting up Confederate monuments again.

Yes, these monuments were put up to honor Confederate leaders. But the timing of the monument building makes it pretty clear what the real motivation was: to physically symbolize white terror against blacks. They were mostly built during times when Southern whites were engaged in vicious campaigns of subjugation against blacks, and during those campaigns the message sent by a statue of Robert E. Lee in front of a courthouse was loud and clear. No one should think that these statues were meant to be somber postbellum reminders of a brutal war. They were built much later, and most of them were explicitly created to accompany organized and violent efforts to subdue blacks and maintain white supremacy in the South. I wouldn’t be surprised if even a lot of Southerners don’t really understand this, but they should learn. There’s a reason blacks consider these statues to be symbols of bigotry and terror. It’s because they are.

Steve walks warily down the street
With the brim pulled way down low
Ain’t no sound but the sound of his feet
Machine guns ready to go
Are you ready
Are you ready for this
Are you hanging on the edge of your seat
Out of the doorway the bullets rip
To the sound of the beat
Another one bites the dust..
Another one bites the dust..
There are plenty of ways you can hurt a man
And bring him to the ground
You can beat him
You can cheat him
You can treat him bad and leave him
When he’s down
But I’m ready, yes I’m ready for you
I’m standing on my own two feet
Out of the doorway the bullets rip
Repeating the sound of the beat

Exiting Charlottesville rally attendees were funneled past violent protesters that threatened them with bodily harm.

Rocks, baseball bats, feces, urine where thrown at the exiting rally attendees. The police laughed at what they had done. They were also threatened with a fire cannon.

First hand witness accounts.

You were there? I don’t believe you.
@#132 d
The only person I’ve heard talking about destroying Washington and Jefferson monuments is djt.
John Wayne and Jimmy Stewart were American’s finest in WW2? They were actors. I’d put them behind every single American that died trying to end that war.
