ALERT: National Weather Service Issues Red Flag Warning from 5 p.m. Today – 9 p.m. Sunday

Due to the extreme heat, low humidity and dry conditions, a red flag warning has been issued for the North & East Bay Hills, Santa Cruz Mountains, Diablo Range, Santa Lucia Range, and interior mountains of Monterey & San Benito Counties, which includes elevations above 1000 feet.

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly.

Outdoor burning is not recommended.
