I did not get to attend the Reuse Workshop #2 this morning. If you attended, do you want to share anything? Thank you.

Hi, KAD! Yes, please would someone give us firsthand information about the re-use meeting? Within the last few days, there was a newspaper article which made it sound as though an enormous sports park out on CNWS is practically a DONE DEAL!

Well , now that our ex DA is a felon and disgraced I’m certainly glad the Concord Police Association didn’t endorse him at the last election.

Oh wait, never mind.

Antler – The Reuse web site has posted the presentation from the workshop last Saturday. I called their office today and they will be posting the video of the presentation later in the week.

Wondering if everyone is aware of this document I received from Navy Brac Program Management Office West, San Diego, ca. PROPOSED PLAN FOR UXO SITES 3 AND 9 FORMER NAVAL WEAPONS STATION SEAL BEACH DETACHMENT, CONCORD CA. PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD JUNE 15, 2017 THROUGH JULY 17, 2017. PUBLIC MEETING JUNE 28, 2017. cLYDE cOMMUNITY cENTER 109 wELLINGTON aVENUE…CLYDE CA 94520 tHE UNITED STATES Department of the Navy requests public comment on the recommendation of LAND USE CONTROLS, LUC FOR THE FORMER iNLAND bURN/rAILROAD sIDINGS eXCAVATIONS (fib/rse) site (Unexploded Ordance (UXO) Sites 9 and 3 in the Inland Area. The Navy proposes LUCs as as the remedy at the FIB/RSE site to address the LOW potential of encountering munitions related items during intrusive activities at the site. The public needs to review all documents from past and what they are showing now before you make your comments. Everyone should make an effort to review the material and comment. You may give your comment at the public meeting, a court reporter will be recording all comments.

Concord City officials continue to trumpet this new proposed sports complex – that’s the big payoff for adding 12 thousands homes to the city. Concord residents will see an unbelievable increase in traffic and congestion. We residents should be getting much more than a new sports complex, a new library should be in the mix. But Mayor Laura Hoffmiester, City manager Valerie Barrone, Ron Leone and their principal backers – the Concord Police labor union – are working behind the scenes to insure a new library won’t be built in Concord. Voters should wake up. Barrone and the Concord PD labor union are greedily looking at the increase in tax dollars the nave base reuse project and how it will impact them, not residents. Voters in concord need to wake up, our city is run by the Concord PD labor union. PD labor union members are not elected, most don’t even live in Concord, thier views on what Concord should – or should not do with city tax dollars – should be completely ignored. The PD officers work for us, we don’t work for them. But with a weak doormat- like City Manager like Valerie Barrone we are seeing a continuation of our town being run by the PD labor union. We need a new library NOW – we won’ t
get one until we get rid of Hoffmeister, Leone – and Valerie Barrone. The means to get a new library built – the nave base reuse project – is there, but we have these city officials – like Barrone – who are working for themselves, rather than city residents.

There is an interesting item on next city council meeting, for delivery of medical marijuana or cannibas, if you read the entire presentation, it looks like they may be amending having shops to sell from, and the growing outside, looks like its up for debate.
