Today we found out that the president was in this meeting with russians which the US media were barred from, that russian state media are in, Kisliak’s presence is hidden from us in the official read-out, we only learn of this through the russian state-media, and in that meeting he’s telling them he fired the guy who’s investigating them.

Of course he also revealed top secret intel to the russians in that meeting. Obstruction of justice is only outdone by treason.

Trump Told Russians That Firing ‘Nut Job’ Comey Eased Pressure From Investigation

Trump’s comments to Russians about Comey ‘is compelling evidence of corrupt intent’

Earlier this week:

The Post’s reported that Trump shared highly classified intelligence with Russian officials, jeopardizing the cooperation of allies.

The Times’s reported this week that Trump asked FBI Director James B. Comey to shut down the FBI’s Flynn investigation, according to a contemporaneous memo Comey wrote before Trump fired him.

On one day this week, the United States awoke to a report from Reuters that the Trump campaign had at least 18 undisclosed contacts with Russians; a McClatchy report that Flynn, who had been paid as a Turkish representative, stopped a military plan that Turkey opposed; a Times report that the Trump team knew Flynn was under investigation before he started work at the White House; and a Post report that the House majority leader told colleagues last year that he thought Russian President Vladimir Putin was paying Trump.

Liberals are intellectual simpletons who operate in such a mental vacuum that they have convinced themselves, “The Rusdians are coming! The Russians are coming!” Just like they convinced themselves Hillary would be President. Ignore them and maybe they will go away.

Geez! I’ve been hearing and seeing so many terrible comments about that Roger Ailes guy who just died… I gotta admit I really didn’t know anything about him but it sounds like he musta been worse than Hitler.
I did hear the old guy made a pass at one of those temptresses at FOX News, but I can’t really say much about that ….being a flagrant womanizer myself (hey! all they gotta do is say “No”)…. but I digress.
Anyway I was about to note that alot of people were making awful comments about a guy who just died (and they call us deplorable!) but I thought maybe the dead dude deserves all this spit & vinegar… so can anybody tell me what he did that was so bad?

Feinstein Says There’s Still No Evidence Of Trump Campaign Collusion With Russia

Diane Feinstein, a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee says there is no evidence of collusion between the 2016 Trump campaign group and the Russians. Speaking with Wolf Blitzer on his CNN “Situation Room,” Feinstein was pressed by Blitzer regarding a previous statement, “So far, you’ve not seen any evidence of collusion. Is that right?” Feinstein replied, “Well, evidence that would establish that there’s collusion.” She then cited “rumors” and “newspaper stories” which were suggesting it.

Harvard Study Reveals Extent Of Anti-Trump Medua Bias

Coverage from 10 major TV and print outlets during Trump’s first 100 days in office are analyzed in a new study from the Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics, and Public Policy at Harvard University. Data obtained indicated those media reports demonstrated a negative bias in 98% of the cases.

Among the media outlets studied were CNN, NBC, CBS, Fox News, the New York Times, the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal.

What a difference an election can make for the respect leaders have for our country. There were two very different outcomes when two American presidents greeted the king of Saudi Arabia. Trump’s posture is in stark contrast to President Obama’s in the early days of his presidency.

Cameras show Obama bowing, while contorting to nearly a 90-degree angle.

Here is a manifest of the West Wing power players who all belong to the famously competing factions within the President’s fractious inner circle, and will be at Trump’s side as he travels:

Melania Trump — first lady
Reince Priebus — White House chief of staff
Stephen Miller — senior policy adviser
Jared Kushner — senior adviser, foreign policy point man and Trump’s son-in-law
Steve Bannon — chief White House strategist
Ivanka Trump — adviser to the President and Trump’s daughter
H.R. McMaster — national security adviser
Sean Spicer — White House press secretary
Sarah Huckabee Sanders — deputy press secretary
Michael Anton — National Security Council spokesman
Hope Hicks — White House director of strategic communications
Gary Cohn — National Economic Council director
Dina Powell — deputy national security adviser
Josh Raffel — communications adviser

And a great time it is and will be! Taking the white house on the road.

American citizens are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty.

But the media and the Democrats seem to be using the Russians to condemn President Trump. They are having a field day with hearsay and rumors.

Our civil liberty protections and rules of press ethics are designed to prevent people from being targeted for extended periods of time under public suspicion without being aware of the exact nature, or origin, of the accusations.

Liberal thinkers have traditionally abhorred secret courts, secret surveillance, and secret evidence.

In the past, the news media would have been called to task for printing vague charges from secret sources. But because it’s Donald Trump, no one seems to care.

Instead, we are being fed a constant stream of leaks, and vague hints of evidence just around the corner.

Saul Alinsky would be proud.

The public deserves to know the truth. Propaganda that is meant to damage the credibility of the President, and undermine his agenda, reflects the left’s contempt for the outcome of the election.

The Democrats have yet to reflect upon the real reasons why Hillary lost.

Ivanka and Jared Kushner are “observant” Chabad (Orthodox) Jews, which is why they had to get a Rabbinical pass to travel on Friday, the Jewish Sabbath. However, their observant behavior does not seem to extend to another Chabad rule, the wearing of head covering. Ivanka is even being lauded for not wearing a scarf in Saudi Arabia, which (according to her father) is rude to the Saudis, but perhaps also to Orthodox Jews. Then again, maybe they got a “pass” for head covering, too.

“Single women need not cover their hair, but married, divorced, or widowed women should preferably do so at all times…The letter of the law requires that all the hair be covered.”

“…But there’s another reason pleasing Saudi Arabia matters to Trump: Bloomberg reports that the kingdom is considering investing around $40 billion in US infrastructure. Trump wants to spend $1 trillion on improving American infrastructure, and the Saudi money would certainly help achieve that goal. Second, the more libertarian-leaning members of the Republican party who have complained that many of Trump’s policy inclinations go against traditional conservative free-market principles now have yet another data point to make their case. After all, this is a clear example of the government directly interfering in the free market by trying to get a company to change its price on an item. Even worse, one of the president’s senior advisers purposefully fought to make a US company less money in order to help another country out. I very much doubt that’s what most Trump voters expected his “America First” policy to look like. Finally, the fact that Kushner himself was at the center of the whole thing is especially notable. Whereas foreign military sales in the past would be negotiated through multiple US government bureaucracies, countries can now apparently skip all that red tape and go right to the source as long as they forge a relationship with Kushner. And you better believe that other countries are paying attention to that….”

Forsythe May 21, 2017 at 10:41 AM

The Democrats are using petty Russian accusations to try to bring down President Trump. In the process, the Democrats are undermining U.S. foreign policy.

President Trump is working to unite world powers to fight terrorism.

President Obama allowed the Russians to gain the upper hand in the middle east. Trump will work to reverse the damage done by the Obama administration.

President Donald Trump and President Barack Obama delivered addresses to the Muslim world at roughly the same point in their presidencies.

Obama tried to appease Islamic resentment of the West by admitting America’s faults.

Today’s Trump’s speech in Saudi Arabia challenged the Arab and Muslim world to foster peace by “honestly confronting the problem of Islamic extremism, and Islamic terror of all kinds.”

Trump addressed a summit of Arab and Muslim leaders at a conference to deal with terrorism.

Obama, by contrast, invited members of the Muslim Brotherhood to his address at Al-Azhar University in Cairo. Obama gave legitimacy to a banned group associated with terror and extremist ideology.

When a Democrat, Diane Feinstein (a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee), says there is no evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians — only rumor and innuendo, I have a tendency to believe what she says is true. Most Democrats have worked themselves into a kind of mass hysteria, and are actually beleiving their own crazy fabricated accusations and scenarios. I think some of the saner Democrats need to try and calm down some of the more excitable ones before the excitable ones alienate what little voter support they have remaining. Just a suggestion. He certainly has the remarkable ability to very calmly make certain liberals look like raging idiots, without even breaking a sweat. Very controlled technique and looks to be putting in a lot of work on research prior to the interview. In some cases, he maneuvers the guest into position very methodically then goes in for the kill. Forsythe May 22, 2017 at 7:41 AM

About that Harvard Study: why the public has lost trust in the media:

The biased news coverage of President Trump’s first 100 days has had little impact on public opinion. And it has changed few minds.

The public views the media as nothing more than propaganda hacks for the Democrat party.

CNN and NBC have a negativity bias of 93%, according to the Harvard Study. Other news outlets aren’t much better.

As the nation’s watchdog, the media has lost much of its bite. It won’t regain credibility until it applies the same reporting standards to both parties.

It is obvious that the media is waging war with the President.

Of course, impeaching Trump would mean replacing a big-mouthed but otherwise conservative Democrat with a genuinely conservative and evangelical Republican.

Even Pelosi seems to be figuring this out.

“…On Nov. 11, three days after the election, Trump announced that Pence would take charge of the transition. A week later, Trump named Flynn as his national security adviser. Flynn brought his adult son into the transition, and that was a problem: Flynn’s son had circulated racist tweets and conspiracy theories, including a fantasy about a human trafficking ring, which duped a man into firing shots in a Washington pizza restaurant on Dec. 4. On Dec. 6, Pence was asked on MSNBC about the younger Flynn’s role in the transition. Twice, he insisted that Flynn Jr. had “no involvement in the transition whatsoever.” That turned out to be false. Hours later, Pence told CNN’s Jake Tapper: “I said this morning that his son had no involvement in the transition, but I have talked to Gen. Flynn, and his son was helping him a bit with scheduling and administrative items.” Pence seemed to think this was the end of the story. But it wasn’t. CONTINUED Pizzagate.

Holy smokes! And the Republicans went crazy when the Saudis donated $25 million to the Clinton Foundation. Oh well, I guess that’s inflation for you.

About a month ago, Ivanka Trump boasted about a new initiative: in addition to her White House duties, the president’s daughter is helping raise money to “benefit female entrepreneurs around the globe.” As part of the endeavor, Ivanka Trump had already begun soliciting contributions from international donors. It wasn’t long before legal and ethical questions arose – when the president of the United States’ daughter starts asking for money from prospective donors abroad, scrutiny is inevitable – prompting Ivanka Trump to make clear that the World Bank would manage the investment fund; she was merely championing the worthy cause. The story took an interesting turn over the weekend with new “pay-to-play” concerns. NPR reported: Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates will donate a combined $100 million to a World Bank fund for women entrepreneurs that was the brainchild of Ivanka Trump. The announcement by World Bank President Jim Young Kim came during a visit to Saudi Arabia by President Trump, who was accompanied by his wife, Melania, daughter Ivanka and son-in-law, Jared Kushner.

Some context is in order. It was just last year, for example, that Donald Trump said he was outraged that the Clinton Foundation accepted charitable contributions from Saudi Arabia, which, the Republican said, wants “women as slaves” and to “kill gays.” He added at the time, “Hillary must return all money from such countries!”

Silva May 22, 2017 at 10:24 AM

A White House official told reporters that President Trump is “exhausted” just three days into his first trip abroad as president. Remember when he said Hillary lacked “stamina”? Trump was expected to say “Islamist extremism” during his speech to Muslim leaders in Saudi Arabia, but instead said “Islamic extremism.” When asked why Trump deviated from the prepared text of his speech, an administration official said Trump is “just an exhausted guy.” After the speech, Trump reportedly canceled his appearance at the Tweeps Forum. Ivanka Trump filled in for her father, speaking to about 400 people at the event. The slip of saying “Islamic” extremism instead of “Islamist” extremism is significant, because “Islamic” imputes the extremism to all of Islam far more than “Islamist” does. This was a major goof to make in front of the King of Saudi Arabia and his advisers and guests. To attribute it to exhaustion is tantamount to saying that Trump simply doesn’t have the stamina to be president. Then later in the day, this happened:

The reporting never suggested Trump said the name Israel – although it subsequently emerged that the information Trump provided could have compromised Israeli intelligence sources.
Trump brought up the Russia saga himself during a meeting with Israel’s prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Trump and Netanyahu addressed reporters briefly before their joint meeting began. When reporters started yelling questions, press minders from both delegations tried to cut off the event and move reporters and photographers away. Trump held up his hands in order to give himself time to respond, pausing until it was quiet enough for him to speak. ‘I never mentioned the word or the name Israel. Never mentioned during that conversation,’ Trump said. ‘They’re all saying I did, so you have another story wrong,’ Trump continued, taking a shot at the media. ‘Never mentioned the word Israel,’ Trump added.

Substitute democrats for Republicans.
Since then Obama has destroyed public morale and trust in government with his radical Progressive agenda and anti-American foreign policy.

“In 2010 Democrats lost the House to Republicans.
In 2014 Democrats lost the Senate to Republicans.

Since Obama took office Democrats have lost:
14 Senate seats
69 House seats
12 governorships
910 state legislature seats
That’s over 1,000 seats lost! ”

Best for last
democrats lost the Presidency.

Fair warning if democrat politicians get their way and force single payer universal health care onto California right from the get go they will be over
$200 BILLION short. An guess who they are going to want to pay that short fall ? Any yearly increase in plan costs which will surely happen you get to pay for too. Think of it as YOUR reward for electing democrats
and stupidly giving them a super majority in state legislature so they can pass any bill they want to. My YOU are so trusting

“The price tag is in: It would cost $400 billion to remake California’s health insurance marketplace and create a publicly funded universal heath care system, according to a state financial analysis released Monday.

California would have to find an additional $200 billion per year, including in new tax revenues, to create a so-called “single-payer” system, the analysis by the Senate Appropriations Committee found.”

What’s there to worry about after all look how well democrats managed keeping costs under control on that partial Bay Bridge replacement.
WAY over budget and many years late.

In case you are wondering …
this from Bill Analysis of SB-562 The Healthy California Act

Eligibility for Healthy California
“Makes every resident of the state eligible and entitled to enroll. “Resident” is defined as an individual whose primary place of abode is in the state, without regard to the individual’s immigration status.”

President Trump’s historic Middle East trip is being derided by the media and Democrats as simply a chance for him to skip town to avoid ongoing scandals — while overlooking the fact the Trump has pushed the “re-set button” when it comes to Middle East policy.

President Obama’s Middle East policy was tragic. He:

——Invited the Russians back into the Mideast.
——Undercut Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
——Helped create a terrorist enclave in Libya.
——Betrayed our best friend in the region, Israel.
——Weakened an already shaky Iraqi regime.
——Emboldened Iran to further meddle in its neighbors affairs and signed a disastrous nuclear deal with the mullahs that will let them develop a nuclear weapon with which to terrorize the Mideast and Europe.

In his now-famous Cairo speech, Obama apologized profusely for the West’s “colonialism,” and laughingly pretended that Islam had almost nothing to do with the scourge of global terrorism, calling it “a model of tolerance and equality.”

Obama’s apology tour was greeted with almost universal contempt in the region as a sign of weakness.

Trump has managed to re-establish the United States as a forceful and able partner and leader in the Middle East. Trump’s blunt words in Saudi Arabia:

“We are not here to lecture. We are not here to tell other people how to live, what to do, who to be, how to worship. Instead, we are here to offer partnership. Based on shared interests and values — to pursue a better future for us all.”

Aspirin #126 – yet you, of all people posting on this board, are probably the biggest offender of your claim that “Insults do not make an argument nor do they make you look smart.” Talk about hypocrisy!

I don’t know what problem(s) you have, but your holier than thou comments and outright insults are certainly indicative of your hypocrisy. Frankly, your ongoing claims about expertise in multiple areas (terrorism, health care, economics, “working with surgeons”, etc…) are getting a bit tiresome. You have FAILED to support any of your claims despite multiple requests about your background – which tells the rest of the world you’re nothing more than a wannabe in multiple areas of knowledge.

BTW – merely repeating a story that you happened to agree with and found online does NOT make it a fact….regardless of your beliefs or opinions.

I’m not letting the conservatives off the hook – but for you to claim some level of superiority in your posts (ie, appearing to talk down to others) is nothing more than an indication of jealousy – especially when hiding behind a screen name. BTW – the above comments also apply to local, silva and randy/vandy.

I suggest that you take a hard look at yourself in the mirror, as you have MUCH to learn. All of you – hiding behind a keyboard and insulting others is EXACTLY why this country and this state are going down the $hithole. None of you are willing to think for yourselves; you’re nothing more than parrots of your favorite party.

Now go back to your corner and reflect on what you’ve been told.

Even as budget watchers say there’s no way Trump’s blueprint will make it through Congress, the starting line — before compromises, concessions and deals begin — is not just mean, cruel and uninformed; it’s delusional. Not only would the budget hit working-class white voters who bet on Trump like a lottery ticket, but the budget also shows a White House living in a land of make-believe. Don’t take my word for it. Here are 15 excerpts from the transcript of White House Budget Director Mick Mulvaney’s briefing Tuesday. The excerpts reveal this crew lives in a land where red ink bleeds, but people don’t; where the only deserving Americans are those who served in the military, not the poor, disabled, hungry nor fixed-income seniors; and where freezing health care spending isn’t seen as a cut, even if the marketplace keeps jacking up prices year after year. There have been many credible, lucid and analytical comments about this proposed budget, but sometimes it’s important to listen to what the actual authors say, as it is revealing about their thinking and values — or the lack thereof. Take a look;

I believe that chemicals and genes are a major factor causing the “political divide”.

Democrats will almost always remain Democrats and Republicans will almost always remain Republicans. It is written in the genetic code.

A US strike targeting Islamic State fighters in a Mosul building in Iraq killed at least 105 civilians when the blast caused ISIS weapons to explode.
US Air Force Brigadier General Matt Isler confirmed the incident on March 17 claimed the lives of at least 105 civilians – adding a further 36 remain unaccounted for. According to Isler, Iraqi counterterrorism service troops and coalition forces were not aware civilians were in the building, and ordered an airstrike. According to reports at the time, civilians – mostly women and children – who were being used as ‘human shields’ by ISIS were killed in the blast. One man who survived the blast told reporters: ‘The entire neighbourhood was fleeing because of missiles so people had taken refuge here. ‘I didn’t know if it was a shelter. I didn’t know we couldn’t go there. My entire family is inside, 27 people. We pulled only one of them out. “We should all appreciate the fact that we now have a President who is straightforward that he’s at war with radical Islamists, a fact he’s not going to soft-pedal”. – New York Daily News – Written by James Woolsey

“Through executive orders, regulatory rollbacks and strategic use of the Congressional Review Act, the president and Congress are delivering”. – WSJ – Written by Andy Puzner

And now yet another federal circuit court has ruled against the travel ban. But by ruling that it was unconstitutional begs the question of mootness. The original travel ban was for 90 days so the Administration could figure out what was going on, and that 90 days has gone by or is about to. Haven’t heard a word as to what they have found in these 90 days.

@165 Not My President

So … do you have a point? If so, what is it?

mtzman May 25, 2017 at 3:31 PM

@anon #167, I think the point, at least for me, is that by just citing the newspapers you were implying that the articles you cited were factual and from well-respected, major media outlets. However, they were, in fact, all opinion pieces by Trump surrogates. I’m sure you know who Gingrich is, Woolsey was on Trump’s transition team for awhile, and Puzder was Trump’s initial nominee for labor secretary.

Not My President May 25, 2017 at 3:57 PM

Sure. Here is a non-partisan response to your question:

When quoting legitimate news sources it is important to know exactly who wrote them, especially if the authors of said quotes have acted as surrogates of the person or situation they are praising. The lack of such information could lead a reader to believe these quotes came from news reports supported by facts when in fact they were pulled from opinion pieces. The two types of articles have two different and distinct purposes, the first being non-biased accurate reporting of known facts and the second being an interpretation of facts that are designed to support an opinion and persuade readers to a particular side of an ideological argument.

A top Mar-a-Lago employee is also working for the government to help prepare for President Trump’s visit to Taormina, Italy, for the G-7 Summit — an unconventional arrangement that further blurs the line between the president’s business empire and the White House. Heather Rinkus, the guest reception manager at Trump’s “Winter White House,” is working with the president’s advance and logistics team, while Trump’s exclusive club, Mar-a-Lago, closes for the summer. She has an official White House email and government-issued phone, two sources familiar with Rinkus’s trip told BuzzFeed News. An administration source confirmed to BuzzFeed News on Wednesday that Rinkus was officially listed as an advance associate for the Taormina leg of the trip and had government-issued blackberry and email. She is married to a twice-convicted felon, Ari Rinkus, who is known to brag about his wife’s access to the president as he trawls for investors and pursues government contracts on behalf of a foreign company.

@Silva 170 I saw that at work this afternoon. I couldn’t believe it. What do you even say about that behavior. And he was actually doing ok until today. I watched the NATO speech as well. What a day!!! I was actually hoping he would be better behaved at Brussels. I mean he really needs to assure them we still will be there just as they were after 9/11.

@160 – now aspirin claims to know about genetics.

You do know that the two major parties have only been around at most a couple of hundred years. So tell us which chromosomes determine the political party? Be specific.

And he states that democrats will almost always remain democrats and republicans will almost always remaking republicans….

Where did you learn anything about genetics? From that truck driving school in the matchbook?

Good gawd- what a moron.

Trump is imminently qualified to be President of the United States. Definitively more so than a “community organizer.” If, in fact, Trump has some sort of personality disorder, as some of you suggest, or some other disabling condition, he still has every right to lead the country. Roosevelt concealed his disability for many years and was a great leader. We all need to rally behind Trump to unify the nation and put it back on track to prosperity. The chaos and dissension Obama crested isn’t doing any of us any good. Let’s work for a better future for America.

And, for the record, Obama didn’t call them “Islamist terrorists” incidents, or “Islamic terrorists” or associate them with the religious faith from which they sprang so, of course, he didn’t have any during his administration. He had the penultimate “head in the sand” approach to the problems the country faced. He just ignored it and hoped it would go away, but it didn’t.

ICE Tulsa Officers Arrest 22 Criminal Aliens During 6-week Local Operation

TULSA, Okla. — Officers from the Tulsa office of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) arrested 22 criminal aliens and immigration violators during a six-week operation ending May 16.

Those arrested are from the following countries: Mexico (16), Guatemala (5) and Turkey (1).

Following are summaries of three of the worst offenders arrested by the Tulsa ERO officers during this operation:

· On April 24, a 24-year-old man from Mexico, wanted by the Mexican government for attempted homicide in Zacatecas, Mexico, was arrested in Tulsa. After being deported to Mexico in August 2016, he allegedly attempted a homicide in Zacatecas, Mexico, in September 2016. He fled Mexico by illegally re-entering the United States. He is currently awaiting removal to Mexico.

· On April 10, a 34-year-old previously deported man from Mexico was arrested in Tulsa. He was last deported in 2011 following his conviction for criminal sexual conduct involving a child. He illegally re-entered the United States. On May 1, 2017, federal grand jury in the Northern District of Oklahoma indicted him for illegally re-entering the United States after being deported.

· On May 10, a 42-year-old man from Mexico was arrested in Stilwell, Oklahoma. He has felony convictions of conspiracy to commit robbery, reckless discharge of a firearm, child endangerment, and possessing a controlled drug.

Any alien who enters, attempts to enter, or is found in the United States after being removed commits a felony punishable by up to two years in federal prison, if convicted; 10 years if previously convicted of three or more drug misdemeanors, or crimes against a person misdemeanors, or for a felony offense; and 20 years if for previously convicted for an aggravated felony.

Hillary Clinton is afraid of the very media that is so in love with her. She won’t sit down with them for one of those deeply personal interviews where they ask her in detail to tell them how she felt when she finally learned her husband was everything that “vast right-wing conspiracy” said he was including his perverse goings on with Monica, making her look like a complete fool. You know, all the really heart wrenching stuff. Like did she cry? Did he cry? Did he say he was sorry? Did he ask her to forgive him? Has she? Or, does she hold it over his head like a pick ax? Did she throw an expensive vase at Bill in the White House and break it? Did she swear and cuss a lot during that time as some have said she did? How long was she upset about his philandering? Does she feel like she has put it behind her? Is it in some walled-off part of her soul and she only gets through each day because it is forever sealed there, rotting and festering and eating her up inside? Or, was she completely cool with it and thought to hetself, “Homely old me is so lucky to be with such a desirable man.” What are her feelings about it? We’ll never know because she is terrified someone will ask. She’s “Not Your President” Thank Goodness!
