PHOTO: Broken Fire Hydrant on Contra Costa Blvd. in Pleasant Hill

A fire hydrant was destroyed on Contra Costa Blvd. in Pleasant Hill earlier this evening.

Firefighters from Engine 5 responded and quickly shut off the water.

It’s unknown how the break occurred, but there’s a good chance a vehicle was involved.
