Claycord – Talk About Whatever

February 27, 2015 16:10 pm · 176 comments

Happy Friday to all the wonderful citizens in the City of Claycord.

This is a post with no subject, you can talk about whatever you want. If breaking news happens (such as an earthquake), or you hear about something newsworthy, feel free to post it here.

101 Clint Eastwood March 2, 2015 at 5:12 PM

It’s raining hard in NutCreek now.

102 nytemuvr March 2, 2015 at 5:49 PM

@Cowellian #103
Ugly story there too.

103 Cowellian March 2, 2015 at 6:16 PM

Real ugly!

104 Dr. Jellyfinger March 2, 2015 at 6:41 PM

Cowellian – You.. you’re just kidding me, right?

105 Killjoy March 2, 2015 at 6:55 PM

Lighten up Eddie. It’s a joke. But I guess as tightly wound as you are, you wouldn’t understand humor if it bit you on the @$$.

106 Dr. Jellyfinger March 2, 2015 at 6:59 PM

Oh geez! Thanks guys… just full of good news aren’t you? Poor Bob… I had no idea…and all those women…. and he filmed all that debauchery too! Wow… I’m so depressed now…. but I’m going to forget all that Hogan’s heroes tragedy stuff and focus on some other classic Hollywood star from my youth to worship. Maybe join a fan club. Tina Louise looks pretty used up these days…… plbbt! guess it’s a toss up between Donna Douglass & Sharon Tate! My dream girls.

107 Cowellian March 2, 2015 at 7:29 PM

Yeah, I’m kidding. Actually, no one can be absolutely sure of the reality in your universe.

108 Atticus Thraxx March 2, 2015 at 7:36 PM

If one of ya’ll has an explanation for this I’d like to hear it:

Bi-racial twins:

Good one Killjoy!
Fix Our Roads

109 Eddie Monsoon March 2, 2015 at 7:36 PM

Killjoy – you have always been a jerk. Doubt that will ever change

110 nytemuvr March 2, 2015 at 7:54 PM

Eli May is gone too…….

111 Dr. Jellyfinger March 2, 2015 at 8:16 PM

Well….. the weasel & woodpecker obviously have a ride share deal.

The twins…. hmmmm .. not sure how that happened…. but either way Lucy has some ‘splainin to do!

112 Killjoy March 2, 2015 at 8:30 PM

Thanks Atticus.

113 sjmgw March 2, 2015 at 8:57 PM

I also received the letter telling me I needed insurance in case of busted water pipes in my yard. Threw it in the recycle bin. But now you have me thinking would my home owners insurance not cover that? hummmm

114 nytemuvr March 2, 2015 at 9:16 PM

Ellie May…. not Eli….Senior

115 thx4youropinion March 2, 2015 at 9:20 PM

@# 117 — I would be surprised if a homeowner’s policy DOES cover it. I’m through USAA. They cover practically anything. But not this. I have to go through an outside agency.

116 Antler March 2, 2015 at 9:32 PM

Twins different colors. I think it could happen if the mother was 100% white ancestry, and the father was half white and half black.

117 nytemuvr March 2, 2015 at 10:26 PM

@Antler #120
You mean like “Little Ricky” playing the drums?…….no

118 @Eddie Monsoon March 2, 2015 at 10:36 PM

Chill out! The joke was pretty funny.

119 Dr. Jellyfinger March 2, 2015 at 10:50 PM

All the actors I ever liked are dead? Damn I must be getting old…. it’s like I’m in a Twilight Zone episode… everyone is dead. I should contact Rod Serling & suggest this for a new “Zone”.

120 nytemuvr March 2, 2015 at 11:32 PM

@Dr. Jellyfinger #123
Going to have to have a séance to contact him too……

121 Antler March 3, 2015 at 1:36 AM

#121….. ? Im not sure what your comment means.

The Facebook newsfeed articles and pictures I have seen of the several twin sets all give explanations such as the one I passed along above.

122 Silva March 3, 2015 at 7:32 AM

Atticus Thraxx, Oh that’s easy.

#1, Bringing a new friend home for brunch and dominos, OR just the wierdest picture I’ve EVER seen.

#2, Mix-up at the IVF clinic.

123 nytemuvr March 3, 2015 at 9:08 AM

It didn’t “mean” anything, you didn’t see the episode of Little Ricky playing the drums?….he was kickin’.

124 Silva March 3, 2015 at 9:14 AM

I thought both Killjoy’s jokes were funny. I can understand how many may be offended by the 2nd one. I’m used to being offended on this site. And everywhere else too. Plus my sense of humor’s pretty juvenile.

125 73 MONTE CARLO March 3, 2015 at 9:41 AM

I thought Killjoy’s jokes were funny too. I’ve never been personally offended by anything on Claycord. We’re all blogging with strangers, and I keep that in perspective.

126 Silva March 3, 2015 at 9:47 AM

nytemuvr, That kid was a drumming genius. Wonder whatever happened to him?

127 nytemuvr March 3, 2015 at 10:45 AM
128 Cowellian March 3, 2015 at 11:02 AM

I’ve got to say that I don’t understand the personal attacks on Killjoy. And yeah, maybe I laughed at the joke, too.

129 Antler March 3, 2015 at 11:17 AM

#127…. That ‘splains my disconnect. No, I didn’t watch the Little Ricky cut.

130 Pegasus March 3, 2015 at 12:11 PM

Dear Ladies of CLAYCORD,
I was wondering why some of you apply, to your lovely faces, a make-up that makes you look like you’re wearing a pound of greasy chicken fat.
The un-natural shine from whatever product you are using is anything but attractive. The look is gooey and a turn-off for males.
Thought you might like to know, no offence intended.

131 nytemuvr March 3, 2015 at 12:11 PM

“Little Ricky” about half way though.

132 Pegasus March 3, 2015 at 12:16 PM

Bi-racial twins reminds me of the guy who was selling his two horses.
They worked well as a team either pulling a wagon or plowing. He claimed the horses were identical twins, the only difference is the white one was about a foot taller than the brown one.

133 73 MONTE CARLO March 3, 2015 at 12:23 PM

Bi-racial Twins

The Dad is white, and the Mom is half Jamaican. If the kids are 75% white, I’m surprised the other twin isn’t lighter skinned.

I know two people (brother and sister) who are 75% white, 25% black, and they both look white.

It is bizarre that they’re twins and look nothing alike. Obviously not identical twins.

134 Antler March 3, 2015 at 1:29 PM

#135 ……. Thanks! I had been posting about twins from bi-racial parents, so that’s the reason your previous comment about Little Ricky didn’t mean anything to me….sorry.

135 nytemuvr March 3, 2015 at 1:37 PM

@Antler #138
Apology accepted…..

136 Silva March 3, 2015 at 2:08 PM

nytemuvr, Thanks!

Pegasus, I stopped painting up almost 40 years ago. If I tried it now, it’d all run off onto my shirt collar in a few minutes. I’d have to spackle it on with a trowell over the fissures too, shaving beforehand, of course.

137 73 MONTE CARLO March 3, 2015 at 2:46 PM

I usually wore makeup to work, but I’m on an LOA, so I’m going natural. I’ve been told I don’t need make-up. I don’t know if I believe that.

Even when I wear make-up, it’s very light. I agree that women don’t look good with too much make-up. It looks cheap.

If men don’t need make-up, why do women?

138 Aspirin March 3, 2015 at 3:58 PM

It seems as though store-bought apples’ skins are tougher these days (I checked my teeth and they are fine). I suspect this is a genetic modification to reduce apple damage during handling and shipping.

I guess we’ll just have to tough it out.

139 ChampagneKitty March 3, 2015 at 4:33 PM

Some women are better at applying makeup than others. It does take a certain amount of skill.

140 imrereurrere March 3, 2015 at 6:06 PM

I just got to vent on this one.I’m down at the marina and there is a woman playing ball with her two large unleashed dogs in the parking lotThen there is an older gentleman looked to be in his 70 or 80’s walking his small dog who was on a leash.when this man saw the two dogs he picked his dog up.The person who was with the two dogs assured him his dog was safe.So he put his dog down on the ground, and as soon as he did those dogs made a beeline for his dog which was right at his feet. The man picked his dog up and was holding with both his hands and the effin dogs was tripping him and bum rushing him.The poor man fell on his head fully while holding his dog.The harbor master witnesses this and went down and told the lady she had to put her dog on leashes and instead she left quickly. The harbor master NEVER even had contact with the elderly man.I hustled across the parking lot and talked to him to make sure he was okay.It was a hard blow to the head is what scares me.He said he was okay and he knew what day it is but I have a bad feeling about this. And why didn’t harbor master make contact at the very least.I am so upset right now

141 anon March 3, 2015 at 6:08 PM

I guess there won’t be a story on the shooting or stabbing from the weekend. Maybe it’s a way that the Chief covers up gang problems. Where’s the Mayor of Claycord? He always got the stories.

142 March 3, 2015 at 6:15 PM

Police said there was no shooting. Waiting for info on the stabbing, but heard it was not life threatening.

143 Forest Park Swim Club March 3, 2015 at 6:54 PM

just recd sad news, young Coach Ryan has passed away after a long fight, RIP.

144 annon March 3, 2015 at 7:10 PM

Is there a cover up of sorts regarding crime, stabbings shootings, gangs, in Concord. I have noticed that the information is not being written or given out. This site has always been right on the spot to give us coverage, that we could trust.

145 Antler March 4, 2015 at 10:40 AM

Brace yourselves!

Daylight Saving Time begins at 2 o’clock this coming Sunday morning!

Combining clock winding with a hula dance is known to cause rain. And a lot of other things! ;-)

146 FoxRun March 4, 2015 at 10:46 AM

It might have nothing to do with
their makeup and everything to do
with the fact that they have oily skin.
In that case, rather than storing fats in
the arteries, it is expelled through the
skin. If that doesn’t please you, tough

147 nytemuvr March 4, 2015 at 11:13 AM

@Antler #149
I hate getting up and changing the clock at 2AM…..messes my whole nights of good sleep….I wish.

148 anon March 4, 2015 at 11:21 AM

I heard that at least two gangbangers were arrested by th CPD SWAT team this morning on Riley Ct.

149 anon March 4, 2015 at 12:45 PM

I think they were wanted for numerous burglaries at Sun Valley Mall among other things.

150 Antler March 4, 2015 at 12:55 PM

Nytemuvr at #151….. You are kidding around with us, right? :-)

Counting the appliances, the vehicles, and my wristwatch….we have to change 21 clocks here! I start the routine on SATURDAY afternoon and just hit each room in order as I get around to it…… and sometimes that is during TV commercials.

151 Dana Mom March 4, 2015 at 1:01 PM

Miramonte High School on lockdown at this time…. Guy with a gun reported at nearby Glorietta elementary School. Cant find any info anywhere. Anyone have any info?

152 March 4, 2015 at 1:04 PM

@Dana Mom, here you go.

Del Rey Elementary School and Miramonte High School in Orinda are
both on lockdown this afternoon because of police activity, according to a
police dispatcher.
The dispatcher said the schools were locked down sometime after
noon. Del Rey Elementary School is located at 25 El Camino Moraga and is less
than a mile away from Miramonte High School, located at 750 Moraga Way.
The dispatcher said police are currently searching the area of
Moraga, Lafayette and Orinda.
No other information about the police activity was immediately

153 Dana Mom March 4, 2015 at 1:10 PM

Thank you. My good friend is out of town with a family emergency and she just called me saying her son at Miramonte just texted her saying they were on lockdown and she was looking for information. If you get anything else could you please post for me? Thanks.

154 Dana Mom March 4, 2015 at 1:13 PM

Just heard they are no longer on lockdown at Miramont High. Thanks mayor for info know it is a little out of your territory.

155 Jojo Potato March 5, 2015 at 10:57 AM

What’s with the chopper hovering over PH bart? White body with blue tail boom. Anyone?

156 anon March 5, 2015 at 11:45 AM

There was a pursuit and the suspect crashed. I don’t know any more details.

157 nytemuvr March 5, 2015 at 11:51 AM

@Antler #155
Well, yes I am, I don’t want to even count how many clocks I have to change. Luckily this here “shiny box” does it by itself…

158 Killjoy March 5, 2015 at 1:52 PM

I always forget the change the time on my digital cameras.
I have a runway fashion show to shoot on Saturday night, and a goth style glamour shoot at sunrise on Sunday. This should be interesting what with the time change.

159 Silva March 5, 2015 at 2:19 PM

Haha. When I was single I used to never change the clocks, just had to adjust them mentally 6 months of the year. It was a manifestation of my utter disdain for daylight savings time.

160 Thanks, Jackass! March 5, 2015 at 2:21 PM

Thank you for hitting my truck and denting the rear panel. Yes, the truck has seen better days, but I keep it because it serves it purpose and it infuriates me less than having this happen to a new vehicle. Real class act…..

161 Antler March 5, 2015 at 8:44 PM

Lunched with a friend at Mt. Diablo High School’s “”Serendipidy” Restaurant today, and our meals were delicious! The student-run restaurant is open (entrance on East Street) on Tuesday, Weds., and Thurs…… from 11:30 AM.
They also sell baked goods, and they have a catering service. GREAT training!

162 John Denver March 5, 2015 at 10:01 PM

Ford got off easy.

163 Not Perfect March 6, 2015 at 2:30 AM

It would be nice to have a link on Claycord to check the astound service status

164 Cowellian March 6, 2015 at 7:28 AM

165 Cowellian March 6, 2015 at 7:29 AM

Ford was the only one injured.
He was flying Solo.

166 Silva March 6, 2015 at 7:32 AM

That’s gotta hurt. I hope Harrison Ford can recover.

167 Marissa March 6, 2015 at 8:18 AM

Last! It’s not too early.

168 anon March 6, 2015 at 8:47 AM

Where’s the update from the SWAT action? Where’s the update to the stabbing that occured 6 day’s ago?

169 Killjoy March 6, 2015 at 8:52 AM

Getting tired of working two jobs.
I’ll probably quit the part time gig at the end of the month.

170 Dr. Jellyfinger March 6, 2015 at 9:57 AM

Cowellian – lol ! good one.

171 March 6, 2015 at 10:10 AM

Unfortunately, we can’t post updates if we get no info from police.

172 What's going on? March 6, 2015 at 1:57 PM

Neil McChesney has resigned from CVCHS. Does anybody know why? What is he doing next?

173 Antler March 6, 2015 at 2:13 PM

In a silly mood….feeling like playing the viciously competitive “Game of Last”. Or maybe even that second-generation success, “Next to Last”.

Any of you out there say “Last but One”?
And is one required to wear three strands of pearls when doing so?

174 Cowellian March 6, 2015 at 3:51 PM

Roman Emperor, Marcus Aurelius, provides this week’s last quote:

Be content with what you are, and wish not change; nor dread your last day, nor long for it

175 Anonymous March 7, 2015 at 10:22 AM

Here is a really good book: The Set Up by Pere Crooks. He writes for Diablo Magazine. It’s the story of the crooked PI and the crooked cops in Contra Costa County. I stayed up too late reading it.

Pete Crooks got an informant who told him the PI ,Butler was staging phony cases for publicity. He kept in contact and eventually found out the PI was selling dope from police seizures He convinced the informant , an employee of the PI ,to talk to a DAs investigator . The case moved up the food chain and stayed secret until the crooks were wrapped up.

Part of the message I took is that dirty cops are far outnumbered by honest ones, who will work very hard to lock up the bad ones..Once the super secret investigation got cranked up they tapped phones, surveilled with airplanes over the crooks ,and did a full court press.Bad guys went to federal prison.
That’s my book review.

176 Silva March 10, 2015 at 11:32 PM

That’s what I’m talking about!
