If you see smoke in Claycord, it’s coming from a fire burning somewhere across the Benicia Bridge, near Cordelia.

Nothing is on fire in Claycord.

call Suisun fire, they are responding and they told me this:
Fire on an island, fire can’t get to it. No idea how big it is. They are just going to watch it burn.

It’s because of climate change.

.. Pay no mind that I am wealthy enough to buy carbon offsets while you peons, I mean “concerned citizens”, pay more and more taxes and fees.

I saw it earlier. When I first saw it, I thought there was a fire at the Tesoro Refinery.

Except Obama burning The Constitution.

Opps, blew that opportunity…

It’s Obama smoking The Constitution, he was part of a legalize pot group in his youth.

Mayor: Thanks for keeping us informed (and thanks to those who report them to Claycord) about local fires — especially during the summer.

Ever since one occurred in our area in 2002 (gratis a few homeless a couple of miles away at the base of the hills) — and 50′ from my house — this is a summertime fear for me!

(It’s also the very reason why I’m so appreciative of the fire dept!)

I saw it driving back from Fairfield today. It was in a VERY remote spot.

Saw it from the top of Mt. Diablo today. Pretty wild.

I surely thought that fire boats were docked at Mare Island and at each of the oil refineries. No?

Fires create their own wind, and those tufts of burning cattails and marsh grasses can float to other islands with dwellings on them.

But if they’ll now plow the island and plant that yummy asparagus, all is forgiven! Burn baby burn!!! 😉
