Since today’s Veterans Day, we’re posting something related to Veterans.
This is an old mess hall tray from the Concord Naval Weapons Station.
Has anybody out there ever been to the old mess hall at the Naval Weapons Station in Concord?

Really cool find. If I saw that at a yard sale I’d scoop it up in a heartbeat.
I worked there for about nine years ate at the hall.if you want to know more about the weapon station read the book “behind the barbed wire”.
Yes my father retired from there after 30 years in the Marines. My first job at 15 was to go there at after 5:00 o clock and clean the barber shop. I also ate in the mess hall many a times. They also had a four lane bowling where we had tournaments.
I retired from the Weapons station. great place to work. and the mess hall was very good, award winning even.
I worked there right out of high school in the PX. Was a supply personal. We had a small P.O. in the hall, cleaners, and the bowling alley was at the end of the building.
Mmmmmmmm
I can just taste the Spam and Chil-Mac
My family ate there often while visiting my Aunt and Uncle when they lived on the base .
My Uncle was a Lieutenant Commander at the base in the Late 70’s.
I’ve seen some pretty awesome things on the base that not many people got too see.
I remember those trays well !
a band i was in played a couple of gigs there for the gyrenes, early / mid seventies.
