Pastor Who Held Services in Concord Pleads Not Guilty to Molesting 9-year-old Girl

A Daly City pastor who held services in Concord pleaded not guilty Tuesday to three counts of lewd acts on a child, San Mateo County prosecutors said today.

The Rev. Venije Singkoh, who will turn 70 on Friday, allegedly held the 9-year-old girl on his lap and kissed her inappropriately, prosecutors said. The last time he is accused of molesting the girl was Feb. 7.

Singkoh is a pastor at the Indonesian Pentecostal Foursquare Church at 378 18th Ave. in San Francisco’s Richmond District and also held services at the Golden Gate Christian Church at the same address, the First Presbyterian Church at 1965 Colfax St. in Concord and at his Daly City home.

The girl’s parents met with church leaders, who arranged a confrontation with Singkoh. He denied the allegations and said that it was an accident, prosecutors said.

Child protective services and police were then notified and Singkoh was arrested last week in Daly City.

Singkoh entered his plea Tuesday in the Redwood City courtroom of Judge Richard Livermore and remains in custody under $300,000 bail. He is scheduled to next appear in court on Sept. 24.

I hope if this is just another case of crazy parents. I had a friend once whose ex wife made up a story that he molested his daughter and it was proven to be a lie simply because she was trying to get more compensation plus she was very hateful and was trying to ruin him. It is hard to prove the negative especially with all there men and women that are abusive. He won but had to spend too much money in our justice system with lawyers etc. Also it scares me so much that I would never babysit or be alone with anyone’s kids , even my own relatives ,due to the hysteria and made up charges that people are creating now!! There is so much fraud now that people are just nuts.

It is good to read that the church leaders were supportive of the victim and helped bring the horrible pastor to the authorities.

Individuals who prey on and hurt children are the lowest of the low. Especially those who hide behind the role of pastor, teacher and authority figure. Jesus said that it would be better for such a person to have a millstone tied about his neck and thrown into the sea.

The victim and her loved ones are in my thoughts and prayers.

I hope his molesting days were nipped in the bud, and this was not the tip of the iceburg.

“The girl’s parents met with church leaders, who arranged a confrontation with Singkoh. He denied the allegations and said that it was an accident, prosecutors said.”
How is molesting a little girl an accident? This just means he admits to it but doesn’t take responsibility for his disgusting, filthy actions. Remove this loathsome piece of scum from society…….

Maybe he wanted to kill her forehead and she turned and he kissed her nose or something.

I think it’s creepy in the first place that any pastor would have a 9 year old girl sit on his lap….
