The CHP is handling a traffic collision that resulted in a car fire on eastbound Hwy.4 near Willow Pass Rd. in Concord.

Use caution if you’re in the area, two lanes are currently blocked.

No major injuries were reported.

Avoid 680 NB, 242, and hwy 4! Just drove by and it was backed up from monument all the way passed 4 and 242 junction. Saw 2 accidents. Find alt. route if at all possible!

It looks like it’s time for Adult “Remembering on how to Drive” courses to be offered! People drive like “CRAP” on that stretch of Hwy 4!

Happened about 300 yes in front of us as we were in the HOV Lane. I could tell they were going to collide because they were tailgating. From my angle I could see the vehicles in front of the fire truck stopping, but the vehicles behind the fire truck could not see because their view was blocked. Too close and too late. Glad nobody was injured.
