Please be advised there is an extensive resurfacing project underway on Homestead Ave. in Walnut Creek between Ygnacio Valley Rd. and Walnut Blvd.

The project is expected to last until Friday August 2nd. Please use caution and find an alternate route when possible.

or are they just painting the street black again?

@A Real Surface
No top seal project…… The job I notice daily is:
remove existing roadway. looked like 4 inches maybe.
Added sidewalks in some area and street corner sidewalks
Fill with Black tar asphalt.
Eckley Dr is half complete if you wanna take a look at the progress and can drive over from S Broadway and Walker.

Take note Concord! Farm Bureau Rd is long overdue for this!

to Killjoy–I agree, Farm Bureau needs some improvement; I don’t like driving on it, either. It’s a rough road. Part of the problem is that it was a designated truck route until very recently, so the road has taken a lot of abuse. The city of Concord does have plans in the works to fix it up, though I’m not sure if there is a definite date yet.

Be careful if you are on a bike coming down the hill on Ygnacio and have to cross Homestead. A real pain.

Have to agree with you, WCR, traffic was a mess earlier. Those homebodies had everyone swerving trying to get where they needed to be, bikes included.
