PICS: Sunday Morning’s Rainbow & Wet Weather in Claycord

July 27, 2014 9:11 am · 8 comments

Thanks to all the Claycordians listed above for sending the beautiful pictures of the crazy weather this morning, which included a double-rainbow.

It rained in some parts of Claycord, but not enough to even make a puddle.

Hope you all have a nice Sunday.

Wow, double rainbow in the middle picture is beautiful!

I saw it too…made me smile.

Rainbow over here too but once again, not a drop fell. I could see the moisture trying to fall but nowhere near the ground. Still, it was nice to go out this morning and see the rainbow.

Rain that falls but doesn’t reach the ground is called vergo (Virgo?).

You’re close, Bluebird. It’s called virga.

I always liked the rainbows over Martinez. My wife says it’s because of all the chemical plants in the area.

It’s called virga.

It was quite an interesting weekend, wasn’t it?
