No major injuries were reported during a solo-vehicle collision on the on-ramp to highway-242 in Concord this afternoon.

The collision occurred just before 1pm, and will be blocking the roadway until at least 2pm.

Please use caution if you’re in the area.

Thanks to Jay for the picture!

Because we’re all prone to roll over when we are going the speed limit.

I am so glad no one was hurt…..Mr. Mayor; thank you soooooooooo much for being so on top of things. We literally passed that accident around 1:30…picked up my car, came home and this was posted. I always feel sick to my stomach when I see a car accident and always hope no one is hurt.

They must have missed the fire hydrant. ;-)

How do you do that all by yourself getting on the freeway? Well, better than already ON the freeway I guess.

Will the CPD be subpoena-ing the cell records? Didn’t think so.
Don’t text and drive people, it’s dangerous!

Another Darwin Award contender.

Why?……because it can’t happen to me mentality

DUI and texting while driving needs to be same offense…
Nuts drivers out there

Looks like they tried to make that illegal left turn off Concord to get on the freeway. Only way I see how they could have landed the way they did.

The Daily Fl!p!
This is not surprising if you drive around Claycord and see what people are doing in their cars.

Let’s not feel too sorry here, people. The idiot drivers out there who are text messaging their fat girlfriends are 100% responsible for these end results. And just a previous post suggested this rollover collision does not happen if humans are paying attention to the road and driving within the speed limit.

How do you know my gf is fat? She is just big boned.

For all drivers to see.
Volkswagen made this commercial for all drivers with cell phones. It is a must see for all ages!

I doubt he was speeding.

The city should put up a white fence so drivers will have something to aim for.

Idiots routinely speed up Market Street and run the red light to “make it” on to the freeway. Maybe if a “spike strip” popped up at the limit line when the light turned red, these yahoo’s would actually STOP for the red light. Obviously, the spike strip won’t happen, but this intersection, or maybe the timing of the lights on Market, needs some sort of redesign…far too many close calls on a daily basis.

Right, a spike strip: that’ll help the flow of traffic!

if its just one car, how is it a collision?

Rolling across pavement & colliding with it are 2 different things.
