BART Riders on Concord Line Face 20-minute Delays Due to Track Maintenance

June 15, 2014 · 1 comment

BART riders should expect delays of up to 30 minutes on the Concord line today due to scheduled track maintenance, according to transit agency officials.

Delays of about 20 minutes were reported in both directions of the line this morning.

BART riders catching trains on the Concord line between the Lafayette and Concord stations could experience delays of up to 30 minutes through this afternoon, according to BART officials.

Riders in the area are encouraged to use the Orinda station to minimize delays, since it will be operating normally. Those traveling from Orinda to Pittsburg/Bay Point need to transfer to complete their trip, according to BART

Trains may travel slower than usual during the track maintenance to ensure worker safety, BART officials said.

Maintenance on the Concord line is scheduled every weekend this month between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., and similar delays are expected, according to the agency.

After being off for over a week, just the thought of BART is bringing me back to reality!
