Again politicians playing games instead of fixing bigger problems.
Now they’re proposing a corporate tax repatriation “holiday”. To give companies a one-time reduction in the amount of taxes they pay on profits earned abroad.

US corporate Tax laws are the cause of companies merging with offshore companies or just outright leaving the US. Biggest problem is most of those in congress over 10 years who SELL their votes on bills for campaign contributions.

Cantor was a good start, … vote out anyone in congress over 10 years.

What is needed now is investigative journalism to investigate in the three countries where most of the illegal immigrant children flooding across our border are coming from. To see if the rumors which started the flood can be traced back to democrats or specifically a single obama advisor.

USING children to promote a political agenda seems to be the unique specialty of democrats.

410 Why Republicans Can Never Win June 12, 2014 at 9:26 AM

Because they have canidates like this:

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Texas Gov. Rick Perry, during a visit that focused primarily on economic issues, drew on a reference to alcoholism to explain his view of homosexuality.

Perry’s comments to the Commonwealth Club of California came after Texas’ Republican Convention on Saturday sanctioned platform language allowing Texans to seek voluntary counseling to “cure” being gay.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports that in response to a question about it, Perry said he did not know whether the therapy worked.

Perry, a former and potential future GOP presidential candidate, was then asked whether he believed homosexuality was a disorder.

The paper says that the governor responded that “whether or not you feel compelled to follow a particular lifestyle or not, you have the ability to decide not to do that.”

He said: “I may have the genetic coding that I’m inclined to be an alcoholic, but I have the desire not to do that, and I look at the homosexual issue the same way.”

The Texas Republican platform stand on the issue is in contrast to California and New Jersey, which have previously banned licensed professionals from providing such therapy to minors.

412 Voting Matters June 12, 2014 at 9:46 AM

Mega rich one percent, owners of the Democrat party, are not happy.

From the most widely read paper in the US.
“Dave Brat’s stunning victory on Tuesday caused widespread panic among those who make their living on Wall Street and the special-interest lobbyists on K Street, but it created an opportunity for the Republican Party to embrace a policy agenda that works for Main Street.”

“A conservative policy agenda is not built on obstruction, but it does rely on disrupting a Washington ruling class that tends to work for itself and its well-connected friends instead of hardworking Americans. As the status quo continues to dissolve, conservatives will be further emboldened to lead the charge for positive reform and bold ideas that can inspire and unite the country.”

THE ONE SENTENCE THAT EXPLAINS WHY IRAQ IS FALLING APART

“This is an incredibly striking sentence from The Guardian’s coverage of the militant group the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS)’s takeover of Iraq’s second largest city, Mosul:

“Iraqi officials told the Guardian that two divisions of Iraqi soldiers – roughly 30,000 men – simply turned and ran in the face of the assault by an insurgent force of just 800 fighters.

“The Iraqi army outnumbered ISIS by about 40:1 in Mosul. Yet the army still turned tail and ran — ran so fast, in fact, as to leave some of their tanks and helicopters behind.

“…Soldiers have been deserting in large numbers for some time. In Mosul, soldiers didn’t run because they were doomed to defeat at the hands of a much smaller ISIS force. They ran because they didn’t want to fight.”

Few expect that U.S. ground troops would be dispatched to Iraq, no matter how dire the situation becomes.

At issue now, among other things, is whether to provide more military aid and approve airstrikes. Maliki reportedly has sought U.S. airstrikes, but so far has been turned down.

A statement from the National Security Council made no commitment.

“We are not going to get into details of our diplomatic discussions but the Government of Iraq has made clear that they welcome our support in their effort to confront [ISIS],” spokeswoman Bernadette Meehan said. “We have expedited shipments of military equipment since the beginning of the year, ramped up training of Iraqi Security Forces, and worked intensively to help Iraq implement a holistic approach to counter this terrorist threat. Our assistance has been comprehensive, is continuing, and will increase.”

A damaging new report from the Air Force pilot who transported embassy officials from Libya discloses that the terrorists who attacked the Benghazi compound and murdered four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens, two Navy SEALs, and one information officer, stole State Department cell phones to call their higher-ups and declare their operation a success.

Because they were using State Department phones, U.S. spy agencies overheard their conversations in real time, he says, and knew they were talking to terrorist leaders about a planned mission.

This new information, reports Fox News, will damage the State Department and White House claim that initial intelligence suggested that the attack was over an anti-Islam video, instead of a coordinated attack. Administration officials including National Security Adviser Susan Rice maintained this “anti-Islam video” claim for weeks after the attacks.

Fox News host Bret Baier interviewed retired Air Force Major Eric Stahl, who commanded and piloted the C-17 which transported the bodies of the four victims of the Benghazi attack, as well as survivors.

In the interview, Stahl says that members of the CIA were confused by the Administration’s claims, because “they knew during the attack…who was doing the attacking.” And this claim was backed up by another official.
The second source, who requested anonymity to discuss classified data, told Fox News he had personally read the intelligence reports at the time that contained references to calls by terrorists – using State Department cell phones captured at the consulate during the battle – to their terrorist leaders. The second source also confirmed that the security teams on the ground received this intelligence in real time.

Furthermore, Stahl wonders why his quick-ready team wasn’t called up sooner, if the State Department knew of the terrorist attack as it was happening.

Hillary Clinton may wonder what difference it makes whether it was a planned terrorist attack or a spontaneous riot which caused the murder of four Americans.

But it does matter that the Administration knew the cause and lied to the public. It matters that they knew what was happening as it was happening and didn’t take every step possible to rescue four Americans. And it matters because the woman in charge at the State Department didn’t answer the 3 a.m. phone call.

If verified, the White House is busted, and there are no two ways about it. Al qaeda-affiliated terrorist groups used the protests around the Muslim world as a smokescreen and an opportunity to stage an attack on the diplomatic compound at Benghazi.

Similarly, the White House also used the Muslim protests at our embassies as a smokescreen – except for their own failure and incompetence, and blamed an atrocious YouTube video for the terrorist attack. This effectively propagated what terrorists would consider to be desirable disinformation to the American people
.
The White House covered up the Benghazi terrorist attack by lying to the American people. Repeatedly. For years. And the Obama administration is still stonewalling and trying to run out the clock.

Whether or not you hate/like Fox News, the fact is that the White House (including Rice and Clinton) lied AGAIN.

When will you idiots learn?????

Already better than half of Iraq is in the hands of forces not friendly to the USA. Is not publicly known how many of the approximately modern 300 Hellfire missiles and other US munitions already in country are in rebel hands. Those and other weapons given by the US will eventually find their way on to the international arms market, just as happened in Libya, and could possibly be bought by Mexican cartels.

Only question now is when the degree of severity of the problems in Iraq will be published in American media so that our president will become aware and act.

Obama and the Democrat Party have tossed Black Americans over the cliff in exchange for illegal alien amnesty. In their greed to maintain power, the Democrats have found that there are not enough black American voters to keep them in office.
Black Americans to this day still have the highest unemployment numbers. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics April’s unemployment numbers, black unemployment is currently around 11.6% and 36.8% for black teens. An influx of low-skilled illegal aliens will make it more difficult for black Americans to compete for low-skilled jobs.
Of course, unlike many blacks, most the illegal aliens are willing to work hard to succeed.

The Blue-State Path to Inequality
States that emphasize redistribution above growth have a wider gap between lower and higher incomes.
http://online.wsj.com/articles/stephen-moore-and-richard-vedder-liberal-blue-states-have-greater-income-inequality-than-conservative-red-states-1401923793

When politicians get fixated on closing income gaps rather than creating an overall climate conducive to prosperity, middle- and lower-income groups suffer most and income inequality rises.

Liberal policy prescriptions, especially high income-tax rates and the lack of right-to-work laws, make blue states less prosperous because they chase away workers, businesses, and capital.

Northeastern states and now California are being economically bled to death by their pro-growth rivals, especially in the South.

Inequality has risen on President Obama’s watch. Those at the top have seen gains, especially from the booming stock market, while middle-class real incomes have fallen by about $1,800 since the recovery started in June 2009.

This is a reversal from the 1980s and ’90s when almost all income groups enjoyed gains.

Why does that solution scare Dems? Because it is essentially a voucher system. Vets get a “voucher” that they can take to any military post hospital for treatment (at least diagnostic). The same voucher system has been repeatedly suggested for schools: ayone who files an income tax return (whether thaey pay tax or not), could get a “voucher” for each of their kids in school. That voucher covers the amount that the government(s) pay public schools for each child.
The parents can use that voucher at any school, public or private.
The Liberals panic because they are afraid the only students left in public schools will be illegals, and they won’t have vouchers, and the schools will have no funding.
It also means the Liberals will no longer having the opportunity to “indoctrinate” the students for 12 years.
What a concept! The students would learn reading, writing, math, actual history, and actual science, instead of “sensitivity” and “tolerance’ and “alternative cultural values” etc.

But I have even had global warning activists – in panicked denial – claim I was lying, making up false history, and even creating fake data.

@Antler excuse you? IT was the British and the Russians who – in the process of dissolving the British Empire – redrew the boundaries of all the countries in the middle east, resetting them to their historic boundaries, and returning the ruling families to their monarchies. The Shah of Iran, and the King of Jordan, for example, traced their monarchies back 2500 years. It wasn’t some willy-nilly conspiracy by the USA. What happened after, like Balkanization, was that the regions were no longer controlled by large governments (like England or USSR) and had no success preventing further fracturing along ethnic, religious, and political lines. Of course not every splinter group got its own country. The BAsques are still trying to secede from Spain, Abu Sayaaf is still trying to split the Philippines, etc. Your desire to blame western powers for the centuries-old regional conflicts is … at best … anachronistic.

@467. Those comments say a lot more about you, than they do about Republicans. You might want to google the psychology term “projection”. You will find lots of information. Here is one definition:

“Projection is a defense that involves individuals attributing their own thoughts, feeling and motives to another person. Thoughts most commonly projected onto another, are ones that would cause guilt. For instance, you might hate someone, but your superego tells you that such hatred is unacceptable.” You ‘solve’ the problem by believing that they hate you.

“United States intelligence agencies were caught by surprise when fighters from the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) seized two major Iraqi cities this week and sent Iraqi defense forces fleeing, current and former U.S. officials said Thursday. With U.S. troops long gone from the country, Washington didn’t have the spies on the ground or the surveillance gear in the skies necessary to predict when and where the jihadist group would strike.”

“The speed and ease with which well-armed and highly trained ISIS fighters took over Mosul, Iraq’s second-largest city, and Tikrit, the birthplace of former Iraqi ruler Saddam Hussein, have raised significant doubts about the ability of American intelligence agencies to know when ISIS might strike next, a troubling sign as the Islamist group advances steadily closer to Baghdad. And it harkened back to another recent intelligence miscue, in February, when U.S. spy agencies failed to predict the Russian invasion of Crimea. Both events are likely to raise questions about whether the tens of billions of dollars spent every year on monitoring the world’s hot spots is paying off — and what else the spies might be missing.”

This is a complex subject requiring imagination, good information (intelligence), deep knowledge, and a willingness to abandon archaic clichés. Although the House Impeaches, the Dem Senate will never convict (we saw that with Clinton), and Holder has already said he won’t indict anyone on Obama’s team. Holder, of course will get a Presidential Pardon on Obama’s last day in office.
Most important is keeping Obama from nominating the next Supreme Court Justice, and having the nomination rubber stamped by the Senate.

shadowblade #502. World intelligence agencies, including Israel’s and Saudi Arabia’s, knew that Saddam had no WMD and further he had no means of delivering such weaponry if he had it. We destroyed Iraq’s air force during the first Iraq War under Bush 1. A weak-minded American Congress was fooled by Cheney’s famous lie: “Iraq has WMD” and voted for the fiasco in Iraq. Bush 2 failed miserably in mounting an effective offensive, costing thousands of lives and draining our treasury.

Washington, DC – Today, Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp (R-MI) issued the following statement regarding the Internal Revenue Service informing the Committee that they have lost Lois Lerner emails from a period of January 2009 – April 2011.

Due to a supposed computer crash, the agency only has Lerner emails to and from other IRS employees during this time frame. THE IRS CLAIMS IT CANNOT PRODUCE EMAILS WRITTEN ONLY TO OR FROM LERNER AND OUTSIDE AGENCIES OR GROUPS, SUCH AS THE WHITE HOUSE, TREASURY, DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, FEC, OR DEMOCRAT OFFICES.

“The fact that I am just learning about this, over a year into the investigation, is completely unacceptable and now calls into question the credibility of the IRS’s response to Congressional inquiries. THERE NEEDS TO BE AN IMMEDIATE INVESTIGATION AND FORENSIC AUDIT BY DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE AS WELL AS THE INSPECTOR GENERAL.

“Just a short time ago, Commissioner Koskinen promised to produce all Lerner documents. It appears now that was an empty promise. Frankly, these are the critical years of the targeting of conservative groups that could explain who knew what when, and what, if any, coordination there was between agencies. Instead, because of this loss of documents, we are conveniently left to believe that Lois Lerner acted alone. This failure of the IRS requires the White House, which promised to get to the bottom of this, to do an Administration-wide search and production of any emails to or from Lois Lerner. THE ADMINISTRATION HAS REPEATEDLY REFERRED US BACK TO THE IRS FOR PRODUCTION OF MATERIALS. It is clear that is wholly insufficient when it comes to determining the full scope of the violation of taxpayer rights.”

http://waysandmeans.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=384506

- Email accounts don’t work that way…somebody is being silly.
- Every government computer is backed up every day unknown to the user.
- The backup is general across multiple departments and provides restoration of all government systems.
- It is not true that any government system is vulnerable to a singular hardware failure.

If Democrats are busting Rep. Dave Camps R-Mi, chops, its just stupid.
If Republicans can’t see through this nonsense, then they are just stupid.

If the emails are really lost they have been impossibly scrubbed and somebody needs to go to jail…who manages the email?…CGI?

The emails can be reverse engineered from the receivers.

Even I can do that from my PC here in Claycord.

Just check the President’s laptop and be done with it. If it doesn’t lead to HIM then the whole things a fan dance…boring without a REVEAL.

An economics professor and political neophyte, Dave Brat, delivered a major upset victory over Majority Leader Eric Cantor this week. This should be the template for California candidates this November.

By campaigning on a platform which emphasized that unchecked immigration inevitably leads to American job displacement and stagnant or falling wages for the fortunate who remain employed, Brat pulled off a spectacular, unanticipated win fueled largely by disgruntled voters.

Brat framed his campaign around immigration as a jobs issue, an approach that resonated with Virginia’s 7th District and would do the same in California where:

* U-6 unemployment has averaged 16.7 percent from the second quarter of 2013 through the first quarter of 2014. U-6 shows a truer picture of unemployment, as it includes total unemployed, plus all marginally attached workers and total employed part time.

* Giving legal work authorization to California’s approximately 2.5 million illegal aliens would loosen the labor market and make jobs harder to find for citizens and legal immigrants. Most adversely affected would be black and Hispanic Americans, who already suffer disproportionately high rates of joblessness, as well as recently returned veterans and the disabled.

* California already has the nation’s highest number of poor, and more large-scale, unskilled immigration would further add to the state’s poor, and increase income inequality and welfare dependency. Brat linked excessive immigration to many of the economic and social plights that have plagued California for decades.

Brat also campaigned on ending birthright citizenship, mandating E-Verify, ending chain migration, securing the border, limiting overseas worker visas, cooperating with local police on immigration-related issues, defunding sanctuary cities and funding a visa entry-exit system. A voice of reason!

Hammering away at Cantor as out of touch, Brat portrayed his opponent and the Washington D.C. establishment as beholden to the Chamber of Commerce and other big money interests. Congress is, Brat emphasized, more responsive to Wall Street than Main Street.

California’s candidates need to take a lesson from this political contest. Follow Brat’s example and fearlessly drive home these critically important points; cease parroting the misguided pro-immigration, pro-growth and unsustainable platform upon which most incumbents rely.

Cantor spent $5 million on the campaign to Brat’s $200,000, proving that in politics money isn’t as important as honest talk. California’s challengers to the immigration status quo can pull off a Brat-type upset if they focus on a candid assessment of the unvarnished truth about out-of-control immigration.

Are these the weak minded Congresspersons you claim forced the Iraq war on us?

“One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line.” – President Bill Clinton, February 4, 1998

“If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction program.” – President Bill Clinton, February 17, 1998

“We must stop Saddam from ever again jeopardizing the stability and security of his neighbors with weapons of mass destruction.” – Madeline Albright, February 1, 1998

“He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten times since 1983.” – Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser, February 18, 1998

“[W]e urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq’s refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs.” Letter to President Clinton. – (D) Senators Carl Levin, Tom Daschle, John Kerry, others, October 9, 1998

“Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process.” – Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D, CA), December 16, 1998

“Hussein has … chosen to spend his money on building weapons of mass destruction and palaces for his cronies.” – Madeline Albright, Clinton’s Secretary of State, November 10, 1999

“We begin with the common belief that Saddam Hussein is a tyrant and a threat to the peace and stability of the region. He has ignored the mandate of the United Nations and is building weapons of mass destruction and the means of delivering them.” – Sen. Carl Levin (D, MI), September 19, 2002

“We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country.” – Al Gore, September 23, 2002

“Iraq’s search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power.” – Al Gore, September 23, 2002

“We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction.” – Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), September 27, 2002

“The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October of 1998. We are confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities. Intelligence reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons…” – Sen. Robert Byrd (D, WV), October 3, 2002

“I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force — if necessary — to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security.” – Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), October 9, 2002

“There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the next five years … We also should remember we have always underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of mass destruction.” – Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D, WV), October 10, 2002

“In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members … It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons.” – Sen. Hillary Clinton (D, NY), October 10, 2002

“We are in possession of what I think to be compelling evidence that Saddam Hussein has, and has had for a number of years, a developing capacity for the production and storage of weapons of mass destruction.” – Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL), December 8, 2002

“Every day Saddam remains in power with chemical weapons, biological weapons, and the development of nuclear weapons is a day of danger for the United States.” -Sen. Joseph Lieberman (D-CT) September 4, 2002

“If we wait for the [Iraq] danger to become clear, it could be too late.” -Sen. Joseph Biden (D-Del) September 4, 2002

“Iraq both poses a continuing threat to the national security of the United States and international peace and security in the Persian Gulf region and remains in material and unacceptable breach of its international obligations by, among other things, continuing to possess and develop a significant chemical and biological weapons capability, actively seeking a nuclear weapons capability, and supporting and harboring terrorist organizations.” -Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) February 5, 2003

“Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime … He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation … And now he is miscalculating America’s response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction … So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real…” – Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), January 23. 2003

@Aspirin
“To his great credit, Obama did not vote to attack Iraq”

He wasn’t even elected to Congress yet. And when he was, all he ever did was vote “present”.

They lie about everything.
