One person suffered major injuries during a vehicle collision on NB Kirker Pass Rd. near Hess Rd. this evening.

Another person also received minor injuries during the collision.

Use caution if you’re in the area.

We’ll provide further updates when they’re available.

UPDATE: Several lanes are blocked. The road is expected to fully reopen by 7pm.

Thanks to Henry for the top picture and thanks to Laura Orta for the one on the bottom!

You guys really need to pay attention to the road when driving. Stop using your phone or being distracted. Everyone is impacted by your carelessness!

Woo hoo!! Keep Breeding like there’s no Tomorrow. Has it not dawned on you that the area is overcrowded? Yet, you selfish idiots want to bring a child into all of this? Gee ~ Thanks mom & dad for bringing a child into this overcrowded filth.
Hate on, because that’s ALL that you can respond with.

I will not “hate on” and it is not all I can respond with. Children are a blessing! Ask Jesus into your heart with the help of the Holy Spirit, accept his forgiveness and receive newness of life, ask him to help you see the glory of His creation, ask him to heal your brokenness and create a new heart in you. He did it for me. Praying for you Anon and whoever was hurt in this tragic accident.

Psalm 127:3
Behold, children are a gift of the Lord,
The fruit of the womb is a reward.

Matthew 6:9-13
The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your Kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins,
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom,
the power and the glory are yours.
Now and for ever.

Is Anon the most negative commentor on this site that clearly has nothing better to do every day with every article than to be negative? I vote yes. Hey Anon, get out of the house once in awhile bud. Sounds like you live alone in a dark house with no friends or family. And clearly no kids with that comment. Yep, that’s the answer. No more babies from here forward and we can let the human species die out.

There seems to be alot of accidents occurring on Kirker lately. People need to pay attention and slow down…they also need to stop tailgating and cutting in and out of lanes. It’s not like anyone can go anywhere any faster in heavy traffic. I think people need to think ahead of where they are and to remember that one little mistake (a result of a bad decision or the inability to control one’s self) can result in death, injury or a lifetime of chronic pain. Slow down and be patient. If you don’t like sitting in traffic and can’t control yourself, take a break….take yourself out for coffee, dinner or something.

They certainly do.

@Anon – I encourage you to free up some more air/room for the rest of us by leaving.

That is 2 accidents in 2 days in the SAME EXACT SPOT on that road! On Tuesday afternoon there was an accident on my commute home around 430pm right at Hess/Kirker Pass, and at the same spot last night. People need to slow down and pay attention, that is a dangerous road!

#2 “Just enough of me, way too much of you?” How fortunate your parents didn’t feel the same way.

There's no enforcement on that stretch of road June 5, 2014 at 9:23 AM

Concord PD won’t go north….Pittsburg PD won’t go south…CHP goes through about twice a day.

How about a few traffic cameras on that road? Surely modern technology can come up with something that works.
