On Saturday (May 31st) from 8am to 5pm, the Walnut Creek Police Department will be conducting training at Las Lomas High School at 1460 S. Main St.

Simulated gunfire, screaming and other noise will be part of this training session.

I am thankful to all police that conduct this type of realistic training at our schools. Any inconvenience is worth the experience they gain which could save kids loves if an event were to happen locally. You guys earn your pensions everyday!!!

Gunfire and screaming? I thought the Alameda County Fair wasn’t until July.

What good is this going to serve? Methinks this is more about security theater, intended to scare the living bejeezus out of the poor kids, part of their indoctrination into being properly docile little sheep.

Oooooh. Good one.

Or it could be mandated Active Shooter Training being conducted while school is closed but I’m sure you are right; a crazy person shooting up a school could never happen in America. Dumb a**

Simulated gunfire? What are they going to do? Point their fingers and say “Bang Bang”?

Law enforcement training , expect to hear gun fire . Of course that’s how law enforcement works . Guns first and they all go home safe . Practice to add to the 1200 Americans killed every year in this country by law enforcement in this country . When do we say enough ?

So exactly where did you come up with 1200 people killed by the police? Even Alex Jones the wackadoo conspiracy theory extraordinaire quotes Jim Fisher’s study that in 2011; 1,146 people were shot and 607 died.

Considering there are 313,900,000 people in America, 1,146 deadly force incidents is a pittance. Lets say you were correct and 1,200 people were killed by the police. That would be 0.00000382287 of the population killed by the police. If you use Alex Jones number its 0.00000193373 of the population.

You want to be concerned? You have a 1 in 7 chance of dying from heart disease and 1 in 109 chance of dying in an automobile accident.

According to the FBI in 2013 there were 14,827 people murdered in the US. According to the FBI in 2012 there were over 1,199,000 violent crimes in America with 160,000 violent crimes in California alone.

Some of these criminals are not going to submit to the authority of the police. Considering the numbers, I’m surprised there are not more police shootings.
