On Friday just before 11am, a woman was walking westbound on Olympic Blvd. near S. Main St. when a suspect (Hispanic Male Adult in his 20’s) grabbed the woman’s purse and fled into the Plaza Escuela parking garage and then drove away in a white pick-up truck, according to the Walnut Creek Police Department.

There were two other Hispanic males in the vehicle, police said.

The Walnut Creek Police Department received information that a delivery truck driver was in the area and possibly witnessed the theft.

The witness, and anybody else who might have seen this crime is encouraged to contact the Walnut Creek Police Department at 925-943-5844.

Increase in crime everywhere.

How not to be a man. What goes through their head as they rifle through a woman’s purse? And when they lay their heads on their pillows at night?

Hope she had 0 cash and called her bank immediately to keep them from charging. Then all they could use would be her lipgloss. 🙂

Day or night Walnut Creek robberies becoming more common.

Poor guy. He’s probably just a transvestite who’s too embarrassed to buy a purse. How about a little compassion and understanding for those who are different from us? I’m working on legislation right now that guarantees persecuted males such as this man the right to buy purses guilt-free. Vote for me in June!

It happens so quickly. At 11:00 AM in downtown WC.Wow!! And I thought the only crooks working that time of day are the WC parking gestapo!
Bold little bastards.

– Not something they street cred in the county jail…not too macho!

Women carry precious personal items of no value to a filthy, stinking cresa, (maggot).

Hope the thief karmakazi’s soon…good for the environment.

Check the front yards in the greater Claycord area, bet you’ll find the coward.

Should NOT have been able to charge anyways. If the card had the name of “DEBORAH SMITH” and a MALE is using it – That should raise suspicion.

I agree with the phantom!

I sure hope nobody offends the criminals by saying something racisss…
cause that would surely be a REAL crime.

That is like a teenager going into a kindergarten and stealing their lunches!
How low can you go? It is creepy that this happens in the daytime. I worked in Berkeley for many years and never once had my purse stolen etc. It is scary because they think people in WC are rich or something. Not… I hope she had a bunch of stale popcorn in her purse and a lipstick that was ready to fall out of the tube and then maybe a dollar in her purse. I pray that idiot reads our comments.

Nothing goes through their heads except the primal urge to be scumbags. Above the neck it is empty with the sound like a hollowed out coconut.
I hope they enjoyed the eyeliner and mascara. Hopefully they will be caught soon.

White pickup? Like the one caught in video stealing mail?

WCPD May 10, 2014 at 10:46 PM

I went to a WCPD function a couple of days ago. They swore in 17 new officers which is unprecedented. Many of them had martial arts, military and swat team training. The MC read a bio for each one and these guys are very well educated with lots of prior LE experience. This means quicker response time to crimes and more time for investigations. Hopefully they’ll be able to catch more of these street scumbags.

Ickypoo May 12, 2014 at 3:37 PM

Hope these icky morons are caught soon. Also, wish the crime would stop. Thre is too much of this going on these days.
