Lend a hand (or two) for the annual Creek Cleanup in the City of Walnut Creek!

Join the Friends of the Creek and the City of Walnut Creek this Saturday, May 10th to cleanup Walnut Creek’s downtown creeks.

Meet at 9:00 at the gazebo in Civic Park, enjoy coffee and pastries with fellow volunteers, and then spend the morning doing your part for the local environment.

Wear old sneakers, bring gloves, and plan to get wet! Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

By far it is the teenagers. They are impatient, drive too fast, and follow too closely.

The crap in the creek is mostly put there by our homeless friends. Like at civic park and where California blvd crosses and around Creekside. We all know they are there and the cops do too. So count me out. Another way that these people are leaching off us citizens. I say either make them clean it up, or dump a few trucks full of stuff on top of them and see if they can climb out.

I love the picture. C’mon folks, it’ll be fun and rewarding, and the flora & fauna will be grateful.
