BART Police And TSA to Conduct Joint Training Exercise on Friday, April 18th

April 17, 2014 18:36 pm · 12 comments

From 8:30 am to 12:30 pm on Friday, April 18, 2014 BART Police, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and Bay Area, state and federal law enforcement officers will be working with other local transit agencies to conduct joint security training exercises at the SFO, Embarcadero, West Oakland and Coliseum BART stations.

The training should not affect service. BART is giving advance notice about the drills so people will not be alarmed if they hear or observe activity related to this special training; or if riders see uniformed officers and police canine units accessing station areas; or see emergency vehicles parked near these stations and in BART parking lots.

The purpose of the training is to prepare for possible future emergencies. BART conducts drills throughout the year with other local and regional agencies.

Another 25 mile per hour trip into the City. I think BART does this everyday now. $210,000 wasn’t nearly enough of a fine; it should have been third strike and you’re out! BART management is pathetic.

My husband just got called in for a derailment near N. CONCORD so I don’t think that will be happening.

Wasn’t there a drill involving public transportation systems July years back? I thought it was over seas.

power back! We need to hold these people responsible
for their actions against citizens.
Example, indigenous people in Alaska get paid
for the oil taken there. Hell that should be the case
for the whole country. Our countries natural
resources belong to every citizen of the country.
They (corp’s) have swindled us. They sell us
back a commodity that was ours to begin with.
Just a thought for those that can think past partisan
politics.
Public transfer operation should not be for profit .
but for the public good.

BART is a joke in so many ways

No such thing as BART Police.. They can’t even control their own parking lots for crime. What a joke. BART POLICE are a joke.. They just collect a check.

Just make BART Police do their job, that would be far more effective and helpful to everyone!
