Pleasant Hill Police have arrested the man they say is responsible for the armed robbery at the Parrot Wireless on Contra Costa Blvd. on Tuesday night.

The suspect, identified as 38-year-old Antioch resident Tremaine Legrande Moore, was arrested on Wednesday.

The following information is from the Pleasant Hill Police Dept.:

On Tuesday, 4-15-2014, at 6:44 p.m. Pleasant Hill Police Officers responded to a reported armed robbery at Parrot Cellular, 1300 Contra Costa Blvd. The suspect had already fled the scene and was described as an African American Male, in his late 20’s, 5’11’ to 6’ tall, with a stocky build.  A clothing description was also provided.

A patrol officer responding to the scene observed a subject matching the description driving a white SUV.  When the officer attempted to stop the vehicle a pursuit ensued.  The suspect eventually entered the freeway at Clayton Rd and Hwy 242.  The suspect was driving erratically and at a high rate of speed.  The pursuit was terminated when the suspect appeared to deliberately collide with another vehicle in an attempt to elude police.

Officers and Investigators developed information identifying Tremaine Moore as the suspect in this case.  On Wednesday, 4-16-2014, Moore was seen by a Pleasant Hill PD Investigator leaving a residence in Antioch.  The investigator followed Moore as he left the area riding a motorcycle.  When Antioch Police Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop on Moore he fled.  A short pursued resulted in Moore losing control of his motorcycle, colliding with a curb, and being ejected from the motorcycle.

Moore was taken into custody without further incident.  Moore was transported to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek where he was treated and released.

Investigators are in the process of developing additional information in this case.  A Search Warrant was served at Moore’s residence in Antioch.  Moore was eventually booked into County Jail for robbery, False Imprisonment, Kidnapping During the Commission of a Robbery, Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Evading Police, Burglary, a probation violation, and an outstanding felony warrant.

Moore is currently being held without bail.

Investigators are also examining Moore’s possible involvement with other robberies involving cell phone outlets in Pleasant Hill.

If anyone has information related to this investigation, they are encouraged to contact the Investigations Division at (925) 288-4630.

That is quite a list of accomplishments, ehhh…charges.
I see he did not get charged with a DWS – Driving While Stupid.
Kudos to the PD.

As someone who has lived in Antioch for a few years, its sad how many losers have moved here in the last few years (with the housing crisis, many homes foreclosed and were bought by overseas investors, and rented to Section 8 – mainly people from Richmond moved out here). There are still nice people in Antioch, but stories like this are becoming all too common. 🙁

Great catch April 17, 2014 at 7:07 AM

Glad he wasn’t hurt to badly, it would have cost
a fortune, we will have to pay for an ambulance
ride etc. make him pay this back.

Great new bullet points for his resume!!

* False Imprisonment
* Kidnapping During the Commission of a Robbery
* Assault with a Deadly Weapon
* Evading Police
* Burglary
* probation violation
* outstanding felony warrant

He is a well rounded criminal and has the ability to multi-task! Truly a leader in this east Contra Costa community.

Seems like this guy has a thing for robbing cell phone stores. Not the first time he has been caught. Great justice system we have.

Thank you PHPD April 17, 2014 at 8:38 AM

Thanks PD.

When we we ever learn to keep these people in jail ?

Anon April 17, 2014 at 8:39 AM

Seems like criminals from Antioch are making their way to Pleasant Hill again.

and guess what!!! April 17, 2014 at 8:45 AM

He probably will get a fricken job quicker than the people who are looking for jobs right now!!! His “special” qualifications would give him the upper hand in getting a job over most people today who are clean and sober…. I HATE THIS SO MUCH- NO WONDER PEOPLE GO POSTAL BECAUSE TRASH GETS THE BEST!!

This guy is a dirtbag, STOP LETTING HIM OUT

Is long term electronic tracking for this guy to hard to ask for? This track record is a plenty to prove his ways of maneuvering through life.. Take by Force, Steal, Evade.

BFF Out!

Hopeless... April 17, 2014 at 9:28 AM

So Tremaine has done it again! Same set of facts (alleged) in Vacaville in February, and here it is in April, same thing in Pleasant Hill.

So why was he out? Who was the judge? Catch and release should only be for fish.

Does any one know that well under 5% of the population causes 100% of the crime?

Fresh, naive girls at the local school for the folk from the hood to meet & great – be very afriad

This is the kind of guy April 17, 2014 at 10:05 AM

who will never change. Commit a crime, go to jail, get out, commit a crime, go to jail and so forth for ever.

How many chances does he get?

Schmee April 17, 2014 at 10:10 AM

I bet the cops laughed when he took off on a motorcycle. They knew the chase would end with his ass being dumped off the bike lol. Perfect ending for a peice of trash.

Larry Miller April 17, 2014 at 10:25 AM

Great Job PHPD! Now the Judge in this case needs to do the right thing and put this guy away for awhile! Feels like we are just shoveling **** against the Pittsburg/Antioch tide…

I’m sure he doesn’t have a motocycle license, but he will have no time to practice in jail. lol

ihaveajob April 17, 2014 at 10:43 AM

Maybe he should be apply for jobs at the places he robs and work like everyone else!

My wife and I moved to Antioch a few months ago and the new area (off Hillcrest) seems nice. No crime, vandalism, or any problems so far. We do have an alarm system, cameras, big dogs, and guns, just in case. There are more minorities living here than in Claycord but they’ve all seemed pleasant. We bought a brand new construction 3,400 square foot home, with a huge, flat back yard and RV access, for $479K. We had gone to Antioch with a realtor friend, looked at some new homes, liked what we saw, bought one, and sold our Crystyl Ranch home. Our kids are grown so schools are not a priority. We would have preferred Clayton, but didn’t want to pay the price for a comparable property, and want to retire sooner. So Antioch is not that bad. And Brentwood seems even better.

Suzie April 17, 2014 at 10:56 AM

gotcha. Luckily there was no traffic from people just getting off of work.

Michelle April 17, 2014 at 11:45 AM

Antioch really isn’t that bad, there are nice areas just like in most cities. I was actually considering moving to Antioch at one point.

FB April 17, 2014 at 11:47 AM

I meant @#7 in my post @32. The numbers may have changed.

anonanonagain April 17, 2014 at 11:50 AM

Tremaine Legrande Moore, you are not so grand.

MrDuckyWucky April 17, 2014 at 12:59 PM

why no mug shot Mr Mayor? or is that a violation of the code of Political Correctness that “journalists” must adhere to?

CLAYCORD.com April 17, 2014 at 1:05 PM

Believe me, if there was a mugshot available, it would be up on Claycord.

You guys are hard on this guy,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,His EBT card was all used up,,,he came up short,and had to rob the Cellular Phone store! I’m sure he had the Obama phone, so next month, if he is still in jail,,what will they do with the EBT card? I would hate to see a guy like this have to work,,,these types of folks like to get all the handouts they can possibly receive ,,,,,,, good luck getting out,,,looks like you will be in jail for easter!

Fig Newton April 17, 2014 at 5:28 PM

His FB page is total ghetto!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a loser,,,,,,,,,,,,,I hope his days are long.and miserable in the detention facility

Trust me, the original residence of people like this is NOT East County…they just skipped residing in Claycord on their way here because of our open door politics

should have ran him over April 19, 2014 at 9:36 PM

we should have pulled one of those old tricks out ,
You know something like! He had a peace of his broken handle bar
in his hand ,he started to ran at the officer .
Then blast him right between the eyes.
Anyway great job
