Vegetation Fire on NB I-680 at Willow Pass Rd. Offramp in Concord

A fire has been reported on NB I-680 at the Willow Pass Rd. Offramp in Concord, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The blaze is possibly at a homeless camp.

The fire department is on their way to the scene to extinguish the blaze.

…to get the homeless away from that area. Probably some homeless territory fight and one set anothers cart on fire. Sick of them begging for money at the offramp every day to buy drugs. Clean up that area!!! Do hope nobody was hurt though .

I drove by and saw the fire smoldering. It actually looked like someone might have thrown a cigarette out the window. The smoldering smoky area I saw was on the left side of the off ramp. When I called 911 they said officers were already responding.

quit throwing your cigs out of the car; there is a water shortage you know.
