Explosions in Concord Due to Fireworks Near Bailey & Myrtle

If you’re hearing explosions in Concord, it’s due to fireworks in the area of Bailey Rd. & Myrtle Dr.

Several callers called the Concord Police saying they heard gunshots, but they were fireworks, not gunshots.

Why are they shooting fireworks? I did not hear them and I live nearby. Do the police know who fired them?

That’s cuz the gunshots were on bel air and clayton. I think someone killed themselves no lie.

Thanks for letting us know what it was. Scared my dog and I couldn’t tell if it were gunshots or fireworks.

I heard what were obviously fireworks, then sirens. Maybe the sirens were for the gunshot. 🙁

thought they were gunshots at first the way they were going off. then heard sirens too. interesting to know how far away it was and how loud it was at my place. Myrtle drive needs its own patrol car. well at least one of the drug houses is gone, i think.

They were down the street and I saw the show, only lasted a minute or so, it was pretty cool, but really stupid.

I heard the booms, slow rapid fire, I am over near Ayers and Clayton Rd. I was thinking at first someone was torching the Popeyes under contruction…wishful thinking…hehe

What was the loud boom by Cowell park at this time then? It sounded like a gunshot next door, but I was nowhere near Bailey.

I’m located off Willow Pass Rd & Parkside Dr. A little after 9pm last night there was a gunshot. It was definitely not Fireworks. This was a separate incident.

Gun shots sound like pops not explosions. Go to police academy and you will be surprised.
