Stolen Mail Suspects Arrested in Concord

March 25, 2014 15:35 pm · 38 comments

We’re getting reports from neighbors in the area of Kaski Lane (off Cowell Rd.) in Concord that at least two suspects were taken into custody on Monday night after one resident spotted them taking mail from his mailbox, then called 9-1-1.

Witnesses say the suspects were pulled over by Concord Police near the scene of the alleged crime. They apparently had the victim’s mail in their vehicle, witnesses said.

The identity of the suspects hasn’t been released at this time. We’ll post more information as soon as it’s available.

Shaking my head. That’s a federal crime.

Go Concord pd. Now come over to Allegro and get the gang kids out of the parking area. 7pm is about their time to visit.

where are the pics. we love pics!

@mad mom

Well, technically throwing a book at them might leave a bruise and it’s also prisoner abuse.
Best to waterboard them. No visible short or long term injuries, except for a scarred confidence.

Oops… did I go too far?

Bleeding Heart Victim Blamer March 25, 2014 at 4:38 PM

Those poor guys probably really NEEDED that mail because the economy is so bad. And I can’t believe anybody still has a non-locking mailbox. This guy obviously doesn’t GET IT.

As Cartman would say: “Boil Them!”

anon March 25, 2014 at 4:59 PM

If they are minors they will get their hands slapped.

About time! Well done!

Ridgewalker March 25, 2014 at 5:21 PM

@just a Concordian Agreed. They are certainly at the bottom of the food chain.

Dorothy March 25, 2014 at 5:41 PM

If one was a young adult overweight male and the other was an young adult overweight female, then they have been testing mail boxes over my way too.

Fruits of the demafornia nanny state entitlement mentality.

Excellent catch!

NRA #1 fan and member March 25, 2014 at 7:11 PM

I’d like to cut their hands off if I could

Ted K., SuperMax March 25, 2014 at 7:18 PM

Cut off their hands and set them on fire…. naked.

It wouldn’t be cruel and unusual if it were the norm.

Kellyanne March 25, 2014 at 8:04 PM

Finally! Met a woman today who’s identity was stolen 10 years ago & she’s still having problems.

kira March 25, 2014 at 8:15 PM

Start taking responsibility for how your lives came to be!!!!! Keep up the good work police !!

Walnut Creek Resident March 25, 2014 at 8:23 PM

I wonder if they were stealing people’s identities from the stolen mail. I bet they have been doing this for quite awhile too. So glad CPD caught them with the help of someone watching them. Bad people should get into a lot of trouble. Sick of these people.

Officer Barbrady March 25, 2014 at 8:34 PM

More good work from CPD.Unfortunately the Feds have bigger fish to fry..

RANDOM TASK March 25, 2014 at 9:04 PM

anyone know what happened off Solano lane last night looked like a coroner van was there

Previous victim March 25, 2014 at 9:22 PM

I am glad they have been caught!
Twice my apartment complex has been robbed of our mail.
(Off of Clayton Rd. Near Goodwill)
I hope this stops the theft of mail in Concord!

Naenae March 25, 2014 at 10:31 PM

My good neighbors – I think we need a website where pictures of these criminals to get posted! Along with their vehicles. No privacy should be allowed for them. But it also wouldn’t be good if people used this website maliciously either.

VikingPrincess March 25, 2014 at 11:42 PM

Yay! Finally.

YAY March 26, 2014 at 7:29 AM

I’m glad they were caught. Hope to have less slime on our streets now.

jb March 26, 2014 at 8:46 AM

Stealing mail if a federal crime…hope there were not kids as will get their hands slapped and let go….and will do again….

That is why I got a PO box…so I get my mail and packages…they steal packages now also….

Good job Concord Police…keep up the good work….now please help get the drug dealers out of our area…and I will really be happy….

The Mamba March 26, 2014 at 9:33 AM

Great job by the resident and CPD, I hope these scumbags are locked up for an extensive length of time. I can’t wait for the perp walk on Claycord.

Concordejet March 26, 2014 at 10:33 AM

Hands off mail you jerks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

True that throwing a book at them is a bruise but will teach them a lesson anyway

That correct it is a federal crime and most likely will get sent to Federal prison

well done CPD

What? March 26, 2014 at 10:45 AM

Concord PD arrested them, but it was actually the neighbor who caught them and called Concord PD.
I’m not against the Concord PD, not a huge fan either. I’ve never been arrested or been involved with them personally so check yourself before you jump. I’ve called them on a couple occasions, and glad they came since I pay their salary.
So anyway, way to go Neighbor!

Deer Phalus March 26, 2014 at 11:11 AM

You should keep your mail box in the garage, then this wouldn’t happen.

Anon March 26, 2014 at 12:28 PM

YES! please do post info and names. our mailboxes on street (all 8 of us) were broken into about 2 weeks ago, bet its this same group. We are off Court Lane
so frustrating.

This is what the 2nd Amendment is for March 26, 2014 at 2:14 PM

I wouldn’t have relied on the cops to do my dirty work… too bad they didn’t hit my house. There would be two less criminals in the world right now…

Walnut Creek Resident March 27, 2014 at 9:21 AM

All of our mail boxes are individual ones parked right adjacent to our front doors. Luckily we have a business across the street with cameras, and I put one in pointing to my mail box! Keep my fingers crossed. Still is risky anyway. These morons can rob your peace. I hate their actions and hope these idiots get locked up.

Me March 27, 2014 at 4:43 PM

Maybe that’s where my missing mail went. 🙁
