Light rain is forecast to fall on the Bay Area this week, a National Weather Service forecaster said today.

As early as Tuesday evening, a front of steady showers is forecast to make its way south across the North Bay to San Francisco and continue on-and-off through Wednesday, forecaster Diana Henderson said.

Most areas will see between a tenth of an inch and a quarter-inch of rainfall, she said.

Higher elevations in the North Bay and coastal mountains might get up to an inch of rain.

Spring-like warm temperatures should return to the area by Friday, according to the weather service.

Thank goodness! Another chance to burn all that firewood that sat there during STAD

I hope we get a lot of it in our area, I’ll do my rain dance.

There will be a punch of March 24, 2014 at 10:56 AM

car crashes when the pavement gets wet.

People just don’t pay attention or are simply reckless.

Good, it will help to keep our hills greener and little longer….

I’m looking forward to the ‘punch of car crashes’. Anyone know where these are going to occur? I’d love to sit and watch that…

Also, good to see that Incognito feels the rain will lengthen our hills! So rain makes hills grow. Cool, didn’t know that.
